Lovely hotel in beautiful and serene surroundings. The staff were quick to accommodate my husband who has accessibility issues, and this hotel accepts dogs. There is lots of space outside for dogs to exercise in and also a walk out the back past some beautiful rock faces. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and again the food was very good.

I enjoyed my stay at the Castel. Directional signage to get there could be a bit better. The scenery is spectacular. We are surrounded by nature. The shower in the single rooms should be a bit larger.

Great location with great breakfast

The hotel is three stars but with four stars breakfast.
Breakfast is amazing, with a lot of options, fresh fruit, and a decent choice of cheese, gluten-free, and vegan options as well.
Rooms as spacious but slightly dated. Not tea making facilities in the room, but we had a small fridge with bottles of water replaced daily.
Swimming pool- small, water was very cold, jacuzzi not working and two small saunas.
Estate is quite big with walks available nearby.
You can see a struggle with electricity bills by the hotel- no jacuzzi, cold pool, and empty pond, which all require power to run.
Regardless of these small issues, we really loved our stay.

Lovely castle in an isolated and lovely part of Belgium. Accommodation was really good and fantastic value. The good was good but not as good value. If you stay there you really are committing to eat there so you need to add both together. We thought it was fine overall.

Dinant tucked away gem.

We had a lovely stay here for our 25th anniversary. Our room was spacious & bed was comfortable. The bar area and lounge were very nice for a nightcap.

The breakfast was delicious and fresh. Lots of choices.

The grounds are beautiful and great place to take a hike or walk.

I do believe you should offer a shuttle a few times during day. We had a car & had to drive into town. But, would be inconvenient if you don’t have a car.
The shower could’ve used a thorough scrub. There was some mold. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

This hotel is found on a beautiful country road about 10 minutes outside of Dinant! Gorgeous property with hiking trails and a rock climbing area and amazing breakfast buffet! Our room could’ve slept 7 with pull out beds (though those are never that comfy) and had both a bath/shower and stand-up shower in the bathroom.
My only complaint is lack of air conditioning, it says a/c on the add but it’s controlled by a central unit and the rooms were hot at night (it was 26-29 degrees most days but still…)

The location was great - a castle turned into a hotel, in the middle of nowhere.

The room was also very large.

But the room was unbearably hot, and the thermostat didn't work.

The pillows were horrible, literally full of air which deflated once you put your head down.

As a result we had the worst night's sleep in quite a while.

The property has beautiful gardens and it’s surrounded by woods. Our room for 3 was really a double room with 2 bathrooms, spacious, bright and with big windows with a beautiful view.
The check in was a little delayed because they were still cleaning the room but that was a minor hiccup in a very pleasant experience!

The stay was quite comfortable. The hotel location was really nice, close to the nature. The hotel had parking for electric cars with charging points but unfortunately it was not possible to use it without membership of a specific provider which was a shame. I believe hotel can offer such facility to their guests. Rest it was quite nice stay.

Great one night stay! Right in town within walking distance to the castle. The hotel provided a menu for their sister hotel which we ordered from for dinner. The food was great. We ordered breakfast the night before and was delivered to our room right on time. Spacious rooms and view of the castle from the balcony. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Vianden!

I chose this hotel as a couples getaway the day after having proposed to my girlfriend and as a 'pitstop' on our way to France. I chose it for the beautiful surroundings in the Ardennen and that is what we got! Staff is kind and helpful. Food in the restaurant is decent, but nothing special.

Will not come back, very bad experience

The parking lot was full when we arrived, not easy to park. The staff at the reception was not friendly to us, she was smiling and very friendly to previous guests, but suddenly turned to a totally different attitude when she talked to us. It was really a bad feeling.
The internet did not work well, we could not get connected for the whole evening, and finally got connected at midnight. There was no heater in the room, the air conditioner did not have warm air out although we set 25 degree, the room was still freezing. We had to wear coat in the room all the time, and couldn't sleep well because it was really cold. I responded to the from desk, and she only said 'yes, it was cold last night', speechless....
The area is nice, the facility was good (except air conditioner), the breakfast was good, but I will not come back again.

Nice room and location poor service at check-in

Very nice location, clean and spacious rooms.

The person at reception when checking-in was very unwelcoming. We arrived after a very long drive and the person at reception did not even say hello..! Just took reservation and gave us keys, he was not interested in giving any information. We had to ask for everything.

We wanted to have dinner in the hotel restaurant and asked receptionist, he said they don't have a menu in English, again was very unhelpful. We took a picture of the menu and spent a lot of time checking translations of the menu online. We then went to the restaurant and they had English menus and the staff there were very nice and helpful. The food was excellent.

The receptionist at check-out was friendly. Overall it was a nice stay, just the checking in was unpleasant.

Das Hotel ist sehr ruhig gelegen und verfügt über enen großen Park. Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung und sauber, allerdings sind nicht alle Zimmer mit einem Fahrstuhl erreichbar. Es gab einen Ausfall der Warmwasser-bereitung, so dass an einem Morgen nicht warm geduscht werden konnte. Die Speisenqualität bei Frühstück und Abendessen ist gut, ansonsten die Präsentation und das Ambiente nur in Ordnung.

Op plaatje ziet hotel er mooi uit. Maar in de praktijk vieze stoffige kamer met te klein bed en continu knipperend lampje op hoog plafond dat niet uitgezet kan worden. Probeerde ‘s nachts dit te melden bij receptie, maar die is ‘s nachts gesloten. Na paar x toch telefonisch verbinding met iemand die naar kamer komt maar het niet kan oplossen. Ben blij dat ‘‘s nachts geen gezondheidsprobleem is gebeurd, want hotel gaat je niet helpen. Klacht ingediend en er gebeurt niets mee behalve tekst ‘ja had anders gemoeten’…. Ontbijt heel matig. Upon arrival at the hotel at 3:00 PM — the stated check-in time — we were surprised to find that our room wasn’t ready. We were asked to return at 3:20 PM, only to be told again that it would take another 20 minutes. When I asked for clarification, the receptionist mentioned that check-in is “between 3:00 and 5:00 PM,” something I’ve personally never encountered before, and this detail was not mentioned anywhere during the booking process.

Once we finally checked in, we found the room to be clean, which was appreciated. However, the beds were unfortunately not very comfortable, the minibar/fridge didn’t cool properly, and there were no coffee or tea facilities in the room — which is something I would expect at this price point. The housekeeping staff was very friendly, but the rest of the personnel came across as rather indifferent and unwelcoming.

On a more positive note, the pool was nice. Unfortunately, the sauna was out of order. That said, the surrounding area is truly stunning and perfect for exploring.

All in all, the price-quality ratio was disappointing. What we experienced would be more acceptable in a budget hotel, but not at the rate we paid.

Schönes Hotel in guter Lage – mit kleinen Schwäche

Das Hotel befindet sich in einem schönen, klassischen französischen Gebäude in ganz guter Lage in Paris. Bus- und Metrostationen sind direkt in der Nähe.

Wir waren zu dritt dort (1 Erwachsener, 2 Kinder). Unser Zimmer war sehr sehr klein. Das dritte Bett bestand lediglich aus einem ausgeklappten Sessel – für den verlangten Aufpreis und die Bezeichnung als \"Dreibettzimmer\" fanden wir das eher grenzwertig.

Das Badezimmer war zwar ebenfalls recht klein, aber modernisiert und insgesamt sauber. Allerdings habe ich auf einem Handtuch und dem Bettlaken jeweils einen orangenen Fleck entdeckt. Ich persönlich finde so etwas in Hotels wirklich unangenehm und etwas eklig – auch wenn es für andere vielleicht weniger dramatisch sein mag, da der Rest des Zimmers insgesamt einen sauberen Eindruck machte.

Was außerdem störte: Die Tür zum Badezimmer war extrem schwer, ließ sich nur mit Kraftaufwand öffnen, blieb nicht offen und fiel automatisch laut wieder zu. Gerade bei dem engen Raum war das wirklich nervig und unpraktisch. Ich rätsle immer noch, wozu so eine Tür überhaupt gut sein soll – vielleicht eine Feuerschutztür? Macht wenig Sinn.

Ein klarer negativer Punkt war das WLAN: Die Verbindung war so schlecht, dass sie praktisch nicht vorhanden war. In der heutigen Zeit sollte funktionierendes WLAN in einem Hotel eigentlich selbstverständlich sein.

Insgesamt also ein charmantes Hotel mit guter Anbindung und Pariser Flair – aber mit deutlichen Schwächen.

A lovely hotel with some minor drawbacks

Our room was small, and although the bathroom had been recently renovated, it felt cramped. The view was blocked by a blank wall from the neighboring building. Breakfast was simple with limited vegetable options. Next to the bar, there's a large room with old wooden windows, offering good local beer at decent prices, but it lacks coziness despite its interesting interior. However, the hotel has great potential and could easily be improved. On the positive side, the staff was kind and helpful, and the pool, jacuzzi, and small saunas were perfect for relaxing after hiking. The surrounding area is great for nature walks, which we enjoyed despite the drizzly weather.

Ontbijtbuffet is karig. Ook een avond diner gereserveerd. De kwaliteit is redelijk maar daar is het ook mee gezegd. Een bediende liep rond en vulde waar mogelijk de broodjes aan echter niet bij ons terwijl ze zag dat ons brood op was. Voelde een beetje vreemd aan.

Manque juste une bouilloire dans la chambre.

Par contre mauvaise expérience au restaurant. Nous avions demandé 2 jus de fruits pour l'aperitif et 1 biere pour le repas. Tout est arrivé en même temps que le plat. Du coup nous avons fait annuler un jus de fruit ce qui n'a pas du tout plus a la serveuse qui a été très désagréable pour la suite du diner. Dommage

Alles was heel erg goed, behalve de spaghetti bij het avondeten was totaal vies om te eten. Meerdere tafels klaagden ervan! Heel erg jammer, in ons geval toch 36 euro weggegooid. We zijn de dag erna in Dinant gaan eten omdat de stoofvlees ook niet top was. We hadden gedacht buffet te hebben, dat was 2 jaar geleden fantastisch! Helaas was dat er niet. Jammer, want voor de rest is dit hotel top, met een geweldig ontbijt erbij!

Hotel ist schön gelegen, mitten im Wald. Gute Wandermöglichkeiten vorhanden. In der nahen Umgebung ist nix. Wenn man ein Restaurant such muss man im Hotel essen oder mit dem Autos Richtung Dinant fahren. Das überwiegende Personal im Hotel Restaurant spricht nur französische und ist sehr unfreundlich und überfordert.
Zimmer zweckmäßig eingerichtet, Teppiche stark verschmutzt, Beleuchtung im Bad sehr dunkel. Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Im Zimmer sehr muffig und es stank sehr stark nach Hund, Tierhaare im Badezimmer ( Badewanne) Urinflecken auf Teppichboden, Frühstück war ok, bis daß alles nach Fisch gerochen und geschmeckt hat. Das Gebäude und die Umgebung war toll voll in der Natur. Nach der Reklamation an der Rezeption wurde uns mitgeteilt, es wir weitergeleitet, aber keine richtige Reaktion. Eigentlich sehr Schade.

Hotelli on tosi kivalla paikalla, ruoka oli hyvää! Olisimme kaivanneet huonetta, missä ei olisi kokolattiamattoa.

Mooi klassevol hotel met zeer ruime kamers. We genoten 's morgens van een heerlijk vers ontbijt. Wanneer de wellness faciliteiten wat opgefrist worden verdient deze accomodatie wat mij betreft een score van 5 sterren.

Vanuit het hotel vertrekken diverse mooie wandelingen. Fijn logeren in deze fantastische natuur kan ik alleen maar aanbevelen!

C’est un joli cadre, cependant les chambres auraient vraiment besoin d’être rénovées….
D’autre part, le prix du petit déjeuner est un peu excessif par rapport à la qualité de certains produits.

Er kwam maar een heel klein beetje water uit de kraan
Ge kon gewoon niet douchen spijtig .
De matras is om rugpijn van te krijgen.
Het ontbijt was minimaal en s’avonds daar eten is ook geen aanrader .

Grandeur van vroeger in een prachtige natuur.

Onthaal correct maar geen info over de locatie (streek) of over zwembad wel ter beschikking in de vorm van folders.Restaurant in buffet vorm wegens tekort aan personeel (?) Meeste lekker maar niet gastronomisch.Ontbijtruimte mooi en ontbijt goed en uitgebreid.Zwembadwater ok maar zwembadruimte verwaarloosd.Mooie setting met gigantische hoteltuin.prijs-kwaliteit prima.

Unieke ligging in prachtige natuurlijke omgeving! Oude elementen goed bewaard in o.a. lobby. Mooi rustig zwembad en heerlijk warme jacuzzi. Kamer was echter basic met enkele kleine gebreken stoel kapot veel stof achter bedbank en slecht werkende tv. Verder wel prima bed en mooie badkamer!
