The front desk staff. Now, I’m not talking about all staff, as many of the golf cart drivers we became chatty and friendly with, but the front desk staff in particular made us feel as though they were doing us a favor by simply asking basic questions like “could you call us a taxi?” or “I’d like to ask if there is availability for a late check out or to add an additional night”. The “Ladies in Red” were helpful when we spoke with them but the front desk staff we found to be rude, almost to the point of insulting. At roughly €850 a night this is not how we expected service to be. We are NOT bougie and were very polite to everyone that we interacted with, but I’ve had more pleasant service at a Holiday Inn.

When trying to get dinner at 2 of the onsite restaurants we watched entire tables get seated after us, orders taken, drinks delivered, and couldn’t even get someone to bring us water. On one night we actually walked out of one of the restaurants after sitting for a half hour without even a glance in our direction. Unacceptable. I’ve worked in restaurants and that is not how to treat customers. I understand the “island pace” as I’ve been to Caribbean islands and grew up on an island, but this was rudeness, plain and simple. Considering others were having orders taken and being served there is not any other reason I can think of as to why we would be ignored. We tipped, we thanked everyone, it doesn’t make sense. They weren’t overly busy.

The room was gorgeous - v spacious. Amazing for snorkelling and the beach is absolutely stunning.

We really enjoyed the food, my only suggestion would be to have some free bubbly at breakfast as other comparable resorts on Mahe do.

The coffee is actually good here which is rare! The alcoholic drinks aren’t cheap but they are nice.

The service is great, bringing you water on the sunloungers.

bel hotel,bel endroit, jolie chambre, lobby ouvert donc pas climatise. Quand on arrive d un long vol et que le temps est tres humide, il aurait ete agreable d avoir un peu de climatisation. La plage est belle, mais quand on se baigne, il n y a que 2 metres de sable blanc et apres c est le corail donc besoin de chaussures.Peu de poissons a voir contrairement a La magnifique plage du Four seasons juste a cote. J avoue que la plage etait decevante par rapport a d autres plages que j avais visitees lors de mon voyage precedent. Les transats et surtout les coussins qui ne sont pas en super etat et qui ne tiennent pas en place. Decevant dans la mesure ou l on est dans un hotel de haute gamme, on attend un meilleur confort. Decevant aussi par son service. Les employes sont tres gentils mais voyageant beaucoup dans ce standard d hotels, personne ne s occupe de vous aider a vous installer les serviettes sur les transats par exempleou pas de creme solaire disponible. regulierement les serveurs vous amenent de l eau fraiche / ne serait il pas mieux d avoir de petite glaciere comme je l ai vu au Kempinski Mascate? A mascate la qualite de service etat bien meilleure, la direction devrait s en inspirer!!Rien a dire sur le service en chambre / tres bien. La reception, encore une fois le personnel est tres gentil mais pas tres professionnel, Il y a 4 ou 5 personnes derriere le comptoir mais tout prend beaucoup de temps.

The room was immaculate with the nice little touches of sunhats and a beach bag. The shower was amazing! The layout of the resort was easy to get around and really appreciated the well set up fitness studio. Was particularly impressed that on a day when it was raining I could organise a 4 hour tour of the island and was ready to leave in 15 minutes.

Great choice of restaurants, excellent beaches.

Our a absolute favourite was the fact that there was a live band every single night. Not just any band but jamming bands that knew how to play.

The rooms were also great and especially the walk in showere which provided a luxurious experience.

We enjoyed our 12 night stay here at Kempinski. The rooms were clean and our twin boys loved the shower. We mainly had our meals in the resort as there aren't a lot restaurants nearby. Only Maria's was within walking distance for us.

We visited the nearby Cap Lazare Nature Reserve which was a 15 min walk away.

We booked two excursions with Marie-Yvonne from Creole Travel. One to Moyenne Island and the other to La Digue. Both great day trips.

Overall we had relaxing time but preferred if the temperature was warmer. The day time temperature was around 25C but windy at times and we found the water temp was a bit on the cold side for our liking.

Finally shout outs to Karthick at Cafe Lazare. Danesh, Babrha, Ofti & Lokti at Winsong, Shana at the kids club, the life guards who removed the sea urchin spines from my foot and also the ever cheerful Samir Ibraimovski.

The location, beach and hotel premises are excellent. Hotel rooms are just average - not 5-star quality rooms. Service was generally good. Our car’s battery died on the departure day. I asked the rental company on the hotel premises to help jump start my car battery. The individual told me that I should have rented from them and that I should call Hertz for help. He even said this is all my fault and he didn’t have to help. The guy was rude and obnoxious. I was shocked that Kempinski would allow such agency and personnel to operate from their property. With that said, the hotel’s maintenance and security staff were very helpful and found another car nearby to jump the battery.

I have just loved my stay here. The staff are superb, Yulia at the desk for Lady in Red, Adel at Windsong restaurant, thank you for your attention and service, I felt looked after when they were on duty. The views are stunning in this place, the property is huge, which gives the chance to walk around without getting bored.
I have traveled alone for leisure, I can say I have felt safe, with small little hiccups here and there.

Below a constructive feedback, which will also help to improve:
The room requires some attention, especially the shower. The curtains by the bed needs to be changed/cleaned, the sofa needs some cleaning too.
The pillows are too soft for my preference, I have asked to exchange however I received the same kind, I have been told by the housekeeper that are all the same.
For a 5 * you expect almost perfection, if not perfection in all the areas.
On my last day, they came for my bags at 5am, perhaps was a miscommunication, i was just departing at 1pm, the man apologised for mistake. A little suggestion on this, perhaps a day before guests departing, will be good a courtesy call or when you see them around, to find out their departure time, or if they need a transfer arranged, this will give an even more personal touch.

This place is just tranquil, they have activities daily, unfortunately I have been able to do only the walk to the mount Kempinski, as I had others planned outside, the guide was knowledgeable.
Overall I have enjoyed my stay here. ❤️

Kempinski Seychelles Resort is a serene, upscale retreat with excellent service and spacious rooms, though small lizards occasionally appear from the A/C vents (a tropical island kinda expected), and the beach bay while scenic, it is rocky, full of seaweed, and too rough for swimming most days, especially during the windy season starting late May, over our 6-day stay, we only managed two swims.

We had a wonderful time in Kempinski resort for 9 nights for our honeymoon! The resort itself is beautiful and well maintained, the private beach was lovely to have and we thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful relaxation there. The pool was also well kept and a decent size too!

The staff were all super friendly and helpful, the ladies in red had great suggestions for restaurants and excursions and even helped my husband plan a fee surprises for me during our stay.

We really enjoyed how luxurious the resort felt, with the golf carts driving us to our rooms, the excellent service and the cleaning services for our room! I personally likes the nice touches of the ‘bed time stories’ and the bath robes.

The breakfast buffet was lovely, the eggs menu was great as it was included and meant you could have something different daily. The fruits selection was delicious too and the chef would come around each morning with fresh sweet treats which was so lovely and she was very friendly!

My only suggestion would be to review the prices of the restaurants inhouse as they are quite expensive, and the location of the resort in the south means there are not that many restaurants nearby.

Thank you for a lovely stay and we hope to return again!

The resort is beautiful and there was really noting major that I could complain about. My timing for breakfast on the first day was way off, I went shortly after 10am due to jet lag and it felt like a zoo, people everywhere and no available tables, the staff seemed overwhelmed too. This was the only time my experience was affected, it put me off going for breakfast the next day, but then I was awake early on my last morning so gave it another go. I was there shortly after 8am and it was an entirely different experience. Many tables available and much easier to navigate the buffet. That being said, it would be nice to have a quieter, a la carte venue to have a quieter breakfast. Lesson learned, do go for breakfast at 10 in the morning !!

My fiancé and I had the most incredible stay at the Kempinski Hotel in Baie Lazare, Mahe, Seychelles. From start to finish, the experience exceeded all our expectations. The food was consistently delicious, offering a wide range of flavors and high-quality dishes that made every meal memorable.

The service was exceptional, with every staff member going above and beyond. A special shoutout goes to Lea, the Lady in Red. Kempinski Seychelles Resort is an excellent five-star resort with clean facilities and friendly, professional staff.
The place offers an amazing, very clean beach, perfect for snorkeling and chilling.
The beach service is excellent and includes
variety of cocktails, foods, and beverages.
The property is located on a scenic but remote beach, so it's hard and expensive to leave the resort to see other places or eat outside.
The place offers three dining options:
1. Buffet dining with a good but not diverse choice of food
2. Beach restaurant, which offers a diverse and tasty menu.
3. Chef restaurant that apparently nobody attends.
Therefore, if you don’t book a half board option, you actually have one dining option - the #2, which is good but not enough for a vacation of more than five days

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, when we got to the room we saw that there was a problem with the TV, we called to report it, they told us that they would fix it tomorrow, the problem was not fixed, and every time I called to check, we got a different answer. We paid for a 60 minute yoga class, the class lasted only half an hour, one day when we returned from the pool we called to ask for another towel, it took them 35 minutes to bring it to us, a disappointing service experience and does not justify the price of the hotel.

Overpriced. Food and services are really, really expensive. Front desk is not up to the task, they let people jump in front of you for no reason. Also, there was a problem with my booking but they wouldn't try to fix it. All they did was telling me the booking platform I used made a mistake. When contacted by the booking platform they didn't even bother to reply. Rude and unprofessional. Resort is actually nice but not worth the price, not even close.

We stayed at the Kempinski for five nights and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful beach lined with palm trees as well as the large swimming pool (with a lifeguard) and extensive property. Every night we enjoyed live music in the lounge and dinner on the beachfront restaurant. The rooms were large with balconies, separate living room area, and modern bathrooms. The staff were friendly and attentive. The Kids Club offered a place for children to play and had a verity of activities. A wonderful resort!

The staff were very friendly and the lady in red was amazing with helping to plan our days. The beach area is stunning with water provided regularly and fruit provided whilst laying on the beach. The location of the property is quite spectacular. The property itself is a little bit dated and there are works going on to renovate. The renovation itself doesn't cause any disturbance. However it meant that only two restaurants were open. The quality of the F&B leaves a lot to be desired though. The fish n chips, biryani were quite poor. The grilled fish was passable.

Great hotel but service is far away from a real 5* hotel.
I received an e-mail asking me if I am celebrating any particular occasion and I answered yes (wedding anniverssary) but Nothing happened (no one congratulate you, no offer, so why such question?).
For diner, we had to wait 30 minutes before beeing serve our salad… when asked why nobody knows…

The good part is that we have been allowed a very late checkout.

Overall a great place to stay but service need serious improvements.

The hotel is in a gorgeos location, nice garden and excellent beach. The rooms are spacious, well maintained, high quality furniture. The meals (breakfast, dinner) where quiet bad. The service was exteamly slow, the service personel where bored, was keep mistaking something. I wish they had the usual dinner buffet, which was nice the previous visit!

Great facility and beach, mediocre service

Beautiful resort with great beach and low level of service, very impersonal and doesn’t meet service level expected of the 5* resort.
It feels like the team makes you a favor by providing the service.
One day I asked 3-4 times to clean the room, but sadly we ended up at 4 pm trying to rest after day on the beach with the cleaning team in the room.
Also the reception wasn’t really interested to assist, we had long stay and had to make COVID test on the 6th day, they promised to make an appointment for “tomorrow” but the day after ended up they didn’t, luckily there was another girl that finally called and made the appointment.
If you want good facility for decent price this is a place for you, but if you expect personal and attentive service try elsewhere.

Overall this is a good 5 star hotel. Everything was ok, but nothing was WOW. If this is your first time in seychelles or in a Resort its definitely ok. But if you're looking for serious luxury and wow, this isnt the one for you.
This was our second time in seychelles, and we have previously reviewed on expedia several verified trips to mauritius, reunion, Maldives, etc., so our expectations are a bit different...
This is an ok solid Resort, but the rooms, the service, the food, and The property are not super gorgeous and luxurios like others we have reviewed..

The welcoming was delightful, the stuff is super friendly and happy to serve. The hotel is located on a beautiful beach and the accommodation is very clean and in brand new condition. The restaurant on the beach is one of the best on the island for sure. Highly recommended you get tremendous value for money choosing kempinski🏝️❤️

The hard product - hotel and location are great. However, service and especially the food options and quality are very poor and certainly not anywhere near 5 star grade. Very disappointed with our stay and would not recommend.

A unique place surrounded with beautiful nature. A very friendly staff welcomed us on our first day at the Hotel and we got a refreshment after arrival. The breakfast buffet was great and always fresh as well as was the dinner buffet. Every day the theme of the dinner buffet changed so we could try different types of tastes.
The pool area was airy and enough sun beds were offered at the beach and pool. Every day we got fresh towels and a big bottle of water.
All in all I definitely can recommend this hotel and its nice and very professional staff!

Great location on a large and secluded beach with great snorkeling. The staff was exceptionally attentive, courteous, and professional. The rooms and facilities were clean, functional, and well-equipped. Three restaurants and a bar offered great food at a wide range of hours. The ice water and small snacks distributed to those lounging along the beach was a welcome touch. Overall excellent comfort in an excellent location - highly recommended.

The resort was large and well kept. Unfortunately, we were only there for three nights - two days consisted of non-stop rain - so we perhaps didn't get to see the resort in all its glory.

The beach was lovely (no crabs anywhere in sight); staff were attentive and the room we stayed in was lovely - clean and cosy, with everything we needed. We treated ourselves to a massage in the spa which was delightful. Reception provided us with dvds on the rainy day we didn't feel like leaving our room.

My only slight reservation was the food. There is lots of variety and it sounded amazing, but it was all a little bland and tasteless for my liking. The staff were great though - especially Sher and Gurpreet.

Overally, a lovely hotel.

Heaven on earth

We were there for a friends wedding. The hotel was amazing, from the time of check in to check out the staff were great. We kept Paul at the pool bar hopping. He was comedic, so friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had great service. Beds were amazingly comfortable, had a great sleep. Good choice of food for breakfast, best gym I’ve seen at a hotel ever! The only thing I can criticize is the bar lounge, no fans so very hot, food was not great, very expensive for what you got ( I live in UAE, so hotel meals are expensive here )and service in this area was not the best despite it not being very busy. I’m a big water drinker, so they kept the room stocked well with water

The Kempinsky hotel is a nice 5 star hotel with good service and good food. However, the nice rooms are a bit “old” with smell. The main weakness is the beach. Although the landscape is nice, the sand out of the water is not pleasant and the water is full with vegetation ans stones. Furing our stay very few people entered the water and probably preferred the nice and pleasant sweeming pool.
