No shopping near by, beach is very small and requires walking, front desk service is horrible and forced 10am checkout. Much better resorts near by. The only plus of the resort is some amazing views.

Beautiful views and comfy stay

The hotel is remote from Victoria but offers everything you need for a great vacation; restaurant, beach access, spa, gym, and bar/lounge. The room was well maintained and had a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating; Ravish is an excellent representative of the Valmer and completely focused on customer service. It was an amazing vacation made possible by the resort and its staff. My only recommendation is to get a rental car if there are plans for sight-seeing (Seychelles observes British driving rules). I would highly recommend the Valmer for anyone heading to the Seychelles.

Wouldn't recommend given the price and services

Very much overpriced for what is given.

Cons:
Only provided bottled water on first day, otherwise needed to buy from restaurant. Price at grocery down the street was 14, price in restaurant was 50. Half board does not include soft drinks (60 rupee)
Does not actually have proper room service. No menus in room. When I called to ask for one, they said I would have to go to the restaurant to get one. I told them that defeats the purpose, they then offered to connect me to the restaurant for them to read the menu to me. When we ordered, there was a 100 rupee fee.
Private pool was not actually private as it was visible on the main path to the main restaurant. We requested a privacy contraption of some kind and were told it would be taken care of by 10am the next day; which never happened even after multiple follow ups.
When I called to cancel my airport drop off for end of trip because we found a cheaper driver (half price the hotel was offering); they had no record of the airport drop off being requested
Very little information about excursions or any kind of information about what to do. We were offered 2 different excursions which were canceled at 8pm the night before.
Very far from the north area of mahe, where most activities are.
The grounds are very dark at night and the hotel is on a hill.
On our last day we lost power at 9am. When we called the front desk we were told there was scheduled maint. On the island and the power would be out 9-3, but we were not informed pri

Would not recommend this hotel

Must have a car to stay here. Too remote. Bad traffic and no sidewalk made it dangerous to walk to the beach. Room was dark. Could not get any food except expensive buffet after 5pm. Staff was fine.

It's on a hillside so it takes a bit of walking, the brace is 10 minutes walk and is beautiful, no water in fridge when you get there , car rental available and good staff and facilities.

Valmer is average and low value for money

Average hotel which needs to improve quality of its services to compete in the expanding Seychelles hotel sector. Three things need improvement:
1. unfriendly/disrespectful staff attitude (receptionist Sylvie very offensive and discourteous; doesn't even say \"thank you\" or \"good morning\"; restaurant staff dismissive, rude and non-responsive despite small number of guests and simple requests).
2. internet only in reception and lounge behind it ! what does it cost to buy routers for the rooms/restaurant/gym uphill and rooms downhill and behind the reception.
3. poor quality food in restaurant: for an isolated hotel with no nearby hotels trying to attract guests seeking a relaxed stay, the food is of very poor quality with average choice on menu). plastic chicken, stale bread, etc.

Rooms are big and clean, with a huge balcony. Climbing up to the restaurant area is a good daily exercise, however believe buggies are available to transport those who do not wish to take the stairs.

only negative part really is the dinner, there was no a la carte option available at the hotel, only an overly expensive buffet dinner every day.

Had a great time.

We enjoy the seclusion of this type of resort. Away from the crowds, but close by. Resort is lovely and all of the staff were very nice. We had some great dinners and the breakfast buffet was very nice as well.

We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely pool and bar

Its a 3 star hotel near the sandy beach of Baia Lazare. Rooms are spacious with a kitchen and dining area but are not particuarly plush. However the pool, bar and restaurant are wonderful and make this place great value.

Die Anlage liegt sehr schöne und macht auf den ersten Blick einen sehr guten Eindruck. Location ist super. Leider fehlt hier etwas die klare Linie. Die Kleinigkeiten/Details stimmen nicht so richtig. Die Motivation der Mitarbeiter etwas besonderes zu „zaubern“ ist nicht vorhanden. Ein Management mit etwas mehr Gefühl für Stil/Lifestyle könnte hier etwas tolles schaffen. Zimmer und Sauberkeit waren auf jeden Falk OK. Frühstück war auch lecker. Leider ist Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht im Gleichgewicht. Bei €250+ die Nacht, hätte ich etwas mehr erwartet

Fint, men stort potensiale!

Overordnet var hotellet fint. Men til å være et hotell på et lite sted, burde eierene kanskje tilrettelegge litt mer for aktiviteter utenfor hotelletsområde eller ha et bredere tilbud på onsite: som ala carte meny, bedre transportservice til lokale restauranter, ting å gjøre på hotellet m.m.

Tyylikäs, siisti ja upea hotelli

Tilava ja tyylikäs huone, hyvin moderni. Ihana parveke ja upea näköala merelle. Uima-allas ja aamiainen erittäin hyvät. Henkilökunta ystävällistä. Hotellialue rauhallinen ja ’vuoristoinen’, golfautolla kuitenkin matkat alueella hoituivat hyvin. Ei ehkä sovellu lapsiperheille.
Sijainti oli vähän syrjäinen, mutta bussit kulkivat tiheään, jos halusi saaren itärannalle tai Victorian kaupunkiin.

Les chambres sont propres et spacieuses et donne une vue sur la baie la piscine à débordement avec vue sur mer est splendide, le petit-déjeuner est un brunch, le dîner du soir est un buffet à thème où on y mange très bien je recommande cet hôtel où nous avons passé un agréable séjour.

En point négatif je mettrai que le wifi ne fonctionne pas toujours bien

Strand in ca. 10-min Fußweg entfernt, feinster Sand und riesen Steine, sehr sauber. Das Personal ist sehr bemüht. Eine Insel-Tour mit einem Taxi oder Leihauto (Achtung Linksverkehr) ist sehr empfehlenswert. Für Erholungssuchende eine sehr zu empfehlende Anlage, wir würden es jederzeit wieder buchen.

Hôtel situé dans la partie sud de l'ile, à env. 40 minutes de taxi de l'aéroport, très calme, confortable, proche d'une belle plage, mais éloigné du centre (un peu isolé).

El hotel esta bien, buena relación precio calidad. Esta situado cerca de dos playas muy bonitas y además las vistas son preciosas.
La habitación e amplia y la terraza muy agradable. La cama de la habitación es demasiado blanda. La cocina viene muy bien para preparar algo ligero de cenar.

Schönes Resort mit Schwächen beim Personal

Der Empfang an der Rezeption war zwar freundlich, aber kurz. Besonders Willkommen haben wir uns nicht gefühlt. Auch während des Aufenthaltes hatten wir eher den Eindruck zu stören, wenn wir uns mit Fragen oder Anliegen an die Rezeption wandten. Die Ozean-View Suite ist sehr schön und neu, mit einem großen Balkon ausgestattet. Das Resort insgesamt ist sehr schön gestaltet mit einem wunderschönen Pool, aber da und dort schon etwas renovierungsbedürftig. Das Frühstück ist zwar recht umfangreich, schade, dass es kein richtiges Brot, sondern nur Toast gibt und immer die 3 gleichen Käsesorten angeboten werden. Das Servicepersonal war leider sehr unmotiviert und kümmerte sich kaum um das Wohl der Gäste. Meist standen sie in Grüppchen zusammen und unterhielten sich oder spielten mit ihren Smartphones hinter der Bar. Schade!

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Ristorante ottimo sia per la colazione che la cena. Consiglio HB. Le Suite e le Ocean vista sono ottime ma.anche le.altre. Stupenda piscina. Personale discreto. Bella e lunga spiaggia davanti al resort. In collina non adatto a persone con problemi motori esiste trasporto con auto elettriche. CONSIGLIATO.

Ruime kamers, schitterend zwembad

Mooi hotel met ruime kamers, vriendelijk personeel en een goed ontbijt. Het hotel ligt tegen een heuvel op, dus soms moet je een stuk bergop lopen. Maar als je dat niet wilt kun je de receptie bellen en wordt je met een golfcar opgehaald. Het zwembad ligt helemaal bovenaan en heeft een schitterend uitzicht over de zee (onder is trouwens nog een tweede kleiner zwembad).

Resort in mitten von Palmen

Wir waren zwei Wochen in diesem wunderschönen Resort.
Das Personal war überaus freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend und eine große Unterstützung bei der Planung von Exkursionen zu den benachbarten Inseln La Digue und Praslin.
Das Mietauto konnten wir direkt über das Resort buchen.
Das Frühstücksbuffet war überaus lecker und sehr umfangreich - viel frisches Obst (Mango, Papaya, Melonen) und Crepés und Omelettes :)

Hübsche Anlage mit toller Aussicht. Nettes Personal. Sehr abseits gelegen. Weg zum Strand beschwerlich da Hotel auf dem Hügel. Abendessen nicht anspruchsvoll,nur vom Buffet erhältlich und mit ca.50 pro Person viel zu teuer. Auch Wein und Getränke sehr teuer. Ohne Auto keine Abwechslung und Ausweichmöglichkeit vorhanden.

Tolle Lage und superruhig

Die Anlage ist perfekt in die Hang-&Felsentopographie integriert. Keine direkte Strandnähe, Strand fußläufig in 5 Minuten erreichbar, was wir aber eher als Vorteil empfanden – es war somit immer ruhig in der Anlage und ein bisschen Fußmarsch hat noch keinem geschadet. Zumal der obere Hotelpool mit großen Liegen im Schatten der Bäume eine tolle Alternative zum Strandleben darstellt. Und den Ausblick auf Strand und Meer gibt's dort auch noch dazu ...
In manchen Bewertungen wird der Service der Rezeption kritisiert. Das können wir aber so nicht nachvollziehen. Als die Air France einen unserer Koffer verbummelt hatte, hat sich die Rezeptionistin sehr darum bemüht, die Nachlieferung zu organisieren.
Das Frühstücksangebot ist hinsichtlich deutscher Essgewohnheiten etwas schmal - wenig Wurst&Käseauswahl - da wir aber gerne Omelettes und frische Früchte essen, die es dort immer gab, sind wir voll auf unsere Geschmackskosten gekommen. Das Abendessen in Büffetform war auch völlig OK, wenngleich recht teuer. Wir haben uns abends vorwiegend aus Supermarktseinkäufen incl. dem guten Seybrew auf unserem Suitenbalkon ernährt - war absolut traumhaft.
Mückenplage war kaum vorhanden, da schlägt das Hotelpersonal mit der chemischen Keule effektiv zu.
Insgesamt können wir der Anlage und dem Personal echte Spitzennoten erteilen - und als Vielreisende wissen wir, wovon wir reden.

Erinomainen päätös lomalle

Valmer Resort oli reilun kahden viikon reissumme viimeinen kohde. Tarkoitus oli poimia täydellisen rentoutuksen viimeisille päiville tarjoava resortti, johon voisi vain pötkähtää muutamaksi päiväksi. Ja paikka täytti tämän yli odotusten! Valtavan kokoinen Family Villa tarjosi oman talon kahdella makuuhuoneella. Koko rakennuksen levyinen terassi tyylikkäinen aurinkovuoteineen oli jotain mitä ei kuvien johdosta osannut odottaa. Uima-allas alue oli ehkä hienoin missään näkemäni. Valtavien graniittilohkareiden koristama tyylikäs alue oli juuri sopivan kokoinen, mahtavine näkymineen ja vieressä olevine baareineen. Rantaan (joka soveltuu muuten erinomaisesti bodyboardaukseen) on viiden minuutin kävelymatka jyrkkää rinnettä alas. Kävimme joka ilta resortin oman ravintolan illallisella ja palvelu ja ruoan taso olivat moitteettomia. Kaikin puolin erittäin positiivinen kokemus. Huomautuksena: näköalat vaihtelevat villoittain, joten se kannattaa huomioida varausta tehdessä.

Valmer resort

Hotel je umístěn ve svahu, díky čemuž nabízí překrásný výhled, ale za cenu náročnějšího terénu. Personál byl skvělý, nápomocný, úklid precizní. Areál resortu byl moc hezký, zelený a upravený, jen očividně probíhá přístavba dalšího ubytování, což by mohlo někoho rušit. Jediné, co bych zlepšila, je větší rozmanitost snídaní a také na pokoji by mohla být automaticky balená voda.

Grazioso e Piccolo hotel , 20 camere , ben inserito in un bel giardino tropicale con numerose specie di palme , a cinque minuti a piedi dalla splendida spiaggia di baie Lazare.

Pulizia impeccabile .
Per qualcuno la disposizione dei vari ambienti dell'hotel potrebbe creare qualche problema : tra la reception e la zona pranzo e piscina ( molto bella e ben inserita nel contesto ambientale ) c'è un discreto dislivello , però se così non fosse non si potrebbe godere lo splendido spettacolo di baie Lazare e dell' oceano indiano.

Very relaxing atmosphere, delicious kitchen, superb beach in the near. The hotel itself is on the hillside so a little adventure to climb up but it worth to see the ocean from the top.

Idéal pour se reposer en couple

Un super séjour de 6 nuitées dans ce resort au calme avec une vue magnifique sur la baie
Lazare. La villa deluxe dans laquelle nous étions était foncionnelle avec un coin cuisine, un salon, un grand lit et une belle sdb, sans oublier la terrasse pour admirer la vue, le mobilier intérieur et extérieur est en bon état, le lit d'appoint mis a disposition pour un enfant est d'un confort sommaire. Le personnel est très serviable, un petit effort pourrait être fait sur le petit
déjeuner quant au choix du pain, du thé et des jus de fruit....mais tout y est quand même. Si vous êtes allergiques à la grimpette, sachez que l'hôtel est pentu, la vue se mérite ! Possibilité de se restaurer sur place le midi et le soir, buffet en soirée parfois, qualité variable, excellent poisson. Les take away locaux sont une possibilté pour alléger le budget nourriture.

Sehr schönes, sehr ruhiges Resort auf einem steilen Hang gelegen ohne direkten Strandzugang. Anlage besteht aus geschmackvollen Chalets. Sehr gutes Restaurant mit annehmbaren Preisen. Ideal zum Ausspannen. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Endlich ein Hotel, das wirklich exakt so wie auf den Fotos aussieht...traumhaftes Ambiente, sehr netter Service, schöne Zimmer, saubere und sehr gepflegte Anlage, ruhige Lage..der ideale Ort um die Seychellen zu genießen..und der Strand nicht weit entfernt ist auch sehr schön..jederzeit wieder!
