My family and I loved this hotel. It was different from the other hotels because it provided a more \"hacienda\" type feel with the style of rooms, my mom got an apartment style room which was amazing and she loved it. They gave us fresh towels every day and the staff were kind and helpful- even letting us keep our bags somewhere since we were early for check-on. The location is great only 15 minutes from most things and a smaller version of Condado beach only 3 blocks away. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything looked great in photos but it was not the same in person. Still a very beautiful place but not what was expected. It could be maintained better. The room didn’t look like it was fully cleaned. Bathroom shower and sink were a bit dirty. Everything looked like it was just lightly dusted but you can tell nothing get deep cleaned. Freezer in the fridge was fully white full of ice. Also, one of the main things why I reserved was because of the bar and pool but I was very disappointed that neither one was open for service. Front desk just said that we can use the amenities at their sister property up the street. And then there’s the parking. I was aware ahead of time that no parking was available at the property. We were lucky to be able to find parking each night a few streets down which was fine but with everything else it was just annoying. It was fine for what it was but I wouldn’t stay there again and not for what was paid.

Very clean boutique hotel close to ocean Park, Santurce and a 5 minute drive to Condado, If you like to walk like me it’s walkable. Nice Restaurants not to far, Grocery store open 24 hours not too far. I will definitely stay here again.

This was my first time ever visiting Puerto Rico. Upon arrival, my wife and I found out that there is a sister property within steps from the beach.. we ended up staying one night at one property and the rest of our stay was at the second property. Both properties have their own unique charm.. you are allowed to go between both properties to use amenities. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.. The location is perfect not too far of an Uber ride to anything you may want to see in the San Juan area..
we will be returning to Puerto Rico that is for sure. What a beautiful vacation. and thank you to the wonderful staff that made our stay extra special.

We were lucky enough to find parking on the street that wasn’t too far away. Upon entering Johanna greeted us and proceeded to check us in. She was friendly, answered our questions and was awesome! Richard also happened to be there as well and was great! Both are an asset to this hotel and made our day.
We were given Room 120. Clean, nice, spacious room. Putting the hot water on in the shower was a little tricky but we figured it out and was thankful for it.
The pool was nice. We were told it was cold but with the weather it had warmed up. We felt it was at the perfect temperature as swam after sunset. You check out the pool towels at the front desk, then return them in the towel basket and advise them that you returned those towels.
It’s in a good location, as it’s relatively close to the beach, there are several restaurants and deli’s within walking distance. You even can go to their sister hotel, which is about a 1/2 block away. Food at the sister hotel was divine.
I would stay here again because of the staff working here, along with the location and the short 12 min drive to the airport.

I have stayed at this hotel every year since 2018 because of its great location near the beach, restaurants, and shops. Unfortunately, this was my most disappointing stay. Both the customer service and the overall condition of the property have noticeably declined.

The hotel shows clear signs of wear and needs much better maintenance. The customer service is non existent . It’s frustrating to see that these issues have continued without meaningful improvement. Given its excellent location, the hotel has great potential, but in its current state I don’t think I’ll be returning after being a loyal guest for so many years.

The property was nice, and having use of their sister hotel Acacia is a nice bonus. They have a large heated pool. Staff were very friendly. Lots of cafes in walking distance which were really charming. The bar wasn’t open during our entire stay which made the hotel very quiet. It would have been nice to have a microwave to use as we often didn’t always finish our meals when we were out but had no way to reheat. them for later, so we didn’t bring leftovers back to the hotel.

I loved how cute this boutique hotel was. It had a charm about it. The pool was the perfect size and was perfect for our short stay in San Juan. The location, walking distance to restaurants and beach were perfect.
The hotel could use some improvements and upgrades to the rooms. They seemed a bit dated and worn. Night time, especially weekends it can be loud due to location. Bring a sound machine and earplugs. Overall Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Would stay here again!

The pool closes at 6 which was kind of a bummer, would definitely tell people it’s hard to park in this neighborhood if you have a rental car since they don’t offer parking.

But the AC works well and it’s real close to the beach, plenty of restaurants in the area, I recommend Bebos Cafe and Pinkys

The Wind Chimes hotel is OK if you don’t mind bare minimum. The toilet in our room never worked, although we had mentioned it multiple times to the staff and at one point the maintenance man tried fixing it. They do not prune any of their plants outside on the patios. The bar was never open for customers, so the photos are false advertising. Some staff were able to understand English better than other staff. Some staff did not speak English at all. The language Barrier was difficult at times. The hotel bed is completely spring mattress and is extremely uncomfortable. We only had three pillows in our queen size bed, I had asked for an additional pillow to make it four but they did not have any extras. The Wi-Fi never would reach our room so we could connect outdoors or in the lobby, but as soon as we got into our room, our Wi-Fi would disconnect which we brought up to the hotel staff, and they mentioned that the Internet was fixed so it shouldn’t have that problem. I would give this hotel a three out of five stars. There was nothing fancy about it. It was very bare minimum. It kept us dry and it was just a place to sleep during our stay.

We love Wind Chimes. We stayed there before in a downstairs room but it was booked when we tried to rent it again. This time, we stayed in an economy room that was clean and quiet but in need of some maintenance (sink & tub drains were clogged) and paint around entry/bath/ closet doors has dirty hand prints. We still highly recommend Wind Chimes! It’s perfectly located, the staff is friendly & helpful, and the main building has charm.

Be aware! Let’s start with the fact the WiFi and tv were not working. Was told they would call there IT department and wouldn’t get resolved till the next day. Blamed it on my laptop. Phones couldn't connect either. As well as the room and air conditioner smelling of mildew. With that said we left the property the same day we checked in and went somewhere else. When asked about a refund the property lied to Expedia and said it was our fault our laptop and phone wouldn’t connect to the WiFi. And they said the tv doesn’t use WiFi. It’s a Roku btw lol. Not to mention I work in IT. So they denied the refund even though we didn’t stay one night. Pick somewhere else to stay it’s not worth it.

It was a good enough state I think what made the most of it was the staff because they were all really sweet and helpful and always recommended places to see in places to do when we first arrive or even if they see us walking out I think my only issue was that plumbing was pretty bad like sometimes the toilet wouldn’t flush, even though we didn’t put anything in there and also the Internet and Wi-Fi was extremely bad. I don’t know if it’s just where our room was located, but we couldn’t really watch the TV or use your phones a lot of the time which is OK because majority of the time we were out and about, but if you wanted like a relaxing day inside the hotel, it would be pretty difficult if you wanted to watch TV or play on your phone unless you were out of the room. There’s also like a pretty funky smell in the air not in the hotel area but when you walk out, I’m not too sure if it’s from the beach or something else! Other than that, it’s nice for what it is and it’s pretty close to a lot of restaurants in walking distance and I heard the beach was nearby but we didn’t go to that beach. We drove to a different one. There’s also no parking but street parking wasn’t at all hard to find like you could pretty much park anywhere as long as it’s of course not by a fire hydrant or anywhere on the sidewalk that is painted in yellow. I do wish we checked out the sister location because I heard they had like a restaurant everything but we just didn’t have enough time.

When I first entered the property, the staff at the front desk was very nice and knowledgeable. I entered the room. It was different from what i seen in the picture and Had a hole in the wall with wires coming out and the Internet did not work the entire time I stayed. I stayed for four nights. The staff came to fix it the day after I checked in so the hole was gone, but the Internet did not work properly in the entire time. The pools were amazing, both of them. The room was clean and did not have any bad smells. The hotel was an essential place for shopping and for eating and three minutes away walking distance to the beach.

I have stayed at their sister hotel twice before coming and staying at this location for the first time. And I only had good experience before this stay. Our toilet kept leaking to the point that the smell of urine was lingering in the room. On the third day maintenance finally came to the room and even then the toilet was still leaking afterwards. We ourselves had to clean up the urine that had emptied into the floor from the toilet. We spoke to the front desk and they offered to put us in a smaller room with a smaller bed but it just wasn’t worth switching over and it’s not what we paid for. For about half our stay we did not have a working toilet, and all we got were apologizes but no immediate action or reconciliation was done for the fact we were cleaning pee off the floor lol. But overall love PR and the staff just had a little hiccup that’s all

I knew that there were no elevators - but the access to the hotel and the rooms are a true challenge with the tile steps into the building and up to the rooms. We had absolutely no water the entire star. They refunded our money - but cost an evening of vacation with no showers - toilets - etc available anywhere.

The rental was a great location. However, the room we were in was very small. The only lock on the door was the door handle no deadbolt or chain. The water pressure was abysmal! After 2pm the water from the shower was a trickle so we would have to shower down stairs in the public shared bathroom. The staff was amazing and so friendly and helpful.

I absolutely loved my stay! I ended up booking a room here last minute after the first hotel I chose for my trip turned out to be a complete nightmare—but it honestly worked out for the best. I’m so glad I found this place! The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming, and housekeeping was always on point. The pool was amazing and definitely a highlight of my stay.

The location was perfect too—close to the beach, La Placita de Santurce, and Old San Juan. Everything about my experience was a 10/10. I would definitely book here again!

The property looks excellent in photographs. However, while structurally the same, my wife and my experience was poor. I had contacted the property to inquire about an early check-in and was told it would be dependent on whether or not the room was ready. Understandable. We arrived about 45\" early, dropped off our bags and walked returning for the 4:00 pm check-in. The room was not ready until 4:25 pm for no understandable reason. [two other groups were waiting behind us].
Throughout our entire stay the internet was non-existent. We complained to the front desk to no avail. We rarely had even one bar on our phones even though the hotel states it has internet. We would have to go outside and use cellular data to book Ubers.
The TV, while visually new and listing multiple platforms available, rarely would go more than 8-10\" into any program before the signal was lost and a prompt would appear on our TV telling us to restart our router or the networks were operating on other Wi-Fi channels.
We brought this to the hotel staff and there was no resolution during our three day stay nor was the WiFi itself resolved.
The bathroom window only had a screen on the window and a plastic pull down, no window glass which not only affected the air conditioning but also meant all night we heard the cars and trucks going by.
Our room was a King Suite and these problems made our experience horrific.

I chose this hotel for its charm. If you want modern, Americanized, “6 star”, bring your expectations down or go stay at an overpriced chain. This stay was affordable and was a cute, cottage in the jungle theme. Most buildings in PR are old=historic. Checking in, the front desk attendant (Joanna) was sweet. They give you actual keys. We went through a little maze to get to my room but I enjoyed being tucked away and seeing the rest of the property. It had a huge bar next to my room that wasn’t being used. I wish it had but this location is walkable to many places! My room was HUGE. I had a living room, dining area w/a microwave and fridge (which is needed because they feed big portions everywhere), king bed and bathroom. Bed was comfy. Room temp cold, shower water can get hot, pressure fine. The only complaints put very lightly are: the way you have to lock your door (I didn’t know you had to lock the door before closing it and some random dude just walked in my room. Joanna explained to me after the fact. And when using your key, you have to turn it exactly to the original position or it would get stuck. I was a pro at it after the 1st day but it didn’t bother me much, just took me a min to get in every time), AC made lil noise (some people might complain about that but as a light sleeper, I was ok), it’s dim in the bathroom, hard to put on makeup, WiFi ok, asked for maid service 1 day & got missed & ran out of towels. They fixed it quickly. Pool small but beach 1 block away

The room was spotless. The staff was feiendly The location was excellent. Beach, restaurants, shops, bars all within walking distance. I would stay here again. The facility had little private areas outside with tables and chairs. The pool was perfect.

We were supposed to stay three nights, but we had to leave after discovering bed bugs in our room. We are extremely upset and disappointed with how the situation was handled. The manager was very relaxed about it and did not seem concerned or apologetic.
Our only option was to leave the hotel at 10:30 PM and try to find another place to stay late at night, which was very stressful. We ended up with bites all over our legs, arms, and backs.
I would not recommend staying at Wind Chimes Boutique Hotel.

Staff were outstanding! Very helpful. The place is a cute boutique hotel with great little courtyards. Sister hotel with an amazing spa is just down the block. Only con was the lack of hot water (only lukewarm) for the shower.

The hotel is charming! I loved the art on the walls and the pretty patio. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the AC was cold. The staff was so friendly! Samuel and Jhan went out of their way to help me.

Stayed 4 nights. Hotel is located 1 block from the beach and is in walking distance of good restaurants and coffee shops. Has private areas for groups to sit outside. We walked up to the local store and purchased wine and beer. There are small refrigerators in the rooms and an ice machine. If you’re looking for a 5-star hotel where everything is pristine, then this is not the place, however if you are adventurous and like a good vibe, then this is the place. Staff was pleasant always. Understand English well. Amenities were sparse. Our room had issues all week with little to no internet. No bar at this site. No parking on site. Pool was broke but was fixed after 2 days. Could have used a bigger coffee pot. Location was great by the beach. Blocks from many breakfast spots and dinner restaurants.

Decent place to stay - close to beach and great Santurce restaurants. Staff are lovely and helpful. Nice to have access to their sister hotel down the street.
