Super great services! I have an overnight bus to bangalore, the hotel offered a nice sofa to stay after checking out, and kept serving me tea and coffee.

i booked hotel cab to bus station, the driver also kindly stay with me for 20 min till the correct bus came. the bus stopped in a different place than in the ticket, without cab driver s help i would probably miss it!

5 star amenities but what defines a hotel is the staff. They were exemplary to say the least. Helpful, courteous and always with a smile. Even the doorman Mani and the restaurant team leader Sharat. The reception staff were impeccable with Gayatri, Mathi and team. Kudos guys.👏

Here is my honest review. For an August weekend we were charged Rs.20100 per room. We booked two rooms. The rooms were clean and property was well kept. Here is why I gave a 3 star, the checkin process took 30 minutes and we had to wait for a while to get the rooms. We had told the hotel weeks agai that we needed 2 beds in each room, but there seems to be some confusion there. Secondly the main shower in both rooms did not work and we had to use the hand shower. While checking out, had a hard time with the manager, he was very defensive about the shower issue when I mentioned it to him. The staff at the breakfast buffet were outstanding, kudos to all of them. Overall the stay was good but Rs. 20k per night seems very expensive for the place, especially when the shower was not working properly.

While a little away from the beach, this property was a delight to stay in. From the friendly staff, to the well appointed and cozy rooms to the fabulous onsite restaurants, this hotel checks all the boxes. While transportation was easy, the complimentary bike rentals was a nice touch. Overall very please and highly recommended.

Restaurant staff were very friendly. Room was nice.
The hotel is on a very busy street, though the Pongal festival added to the chaos.
The property is well maintained and is a welcome retreat from the busy city.

The area was typical of India. Ultimate people watching experience outside.
Short ride to White town on a Tuc Tuc which was great fun.

Cleanness was not up to par for a proper/big hotel . Bedsheets, pillows, and towels were all dirty. Lotion was not refilled from previous guest use. Dining service was slow and staff would often forget the small orders.

With regard to our driver, he did not have a proper place to sleep in the drivers room. They only had few beds set up; failing to adhere to the Driver Association requirements and regulations on the number of beds required.

The above two items were brought up to staff and the on duty manager attention, however nothing proper was done to address these issues. Will definitely not be recommending this hotel to other, unless a properly regulatory check is done and ensured.

Beautiful - they cannot do enough for you! They really go above and beyond! Lovely pool to relax and spa… it was so easy to jump in a tuk tuk to get to white town very cheaply! I found this hotel was more value for money than others and more luxurious

A fair choice for Pondy, which lacks good hotels

Always surprised that Pondicherry does not have any decent, modern, full-facility five-star hotels, given Marriott and GRT have opened great top-notch hotels in Trichy and Madurai etc. This is quieter than the Accord, though also on a busy street. Two issues seem to get mentioned in the comments: hair in bedding and bad smells. I encountered both, after accidentally lifting the bottom bed sheet to see some long black hairs stuck to mattress lining. The smell from carpet area was tolerable but noticeable. Breakfast was good, but really disliked the loud jazz music being played at that time. Indoor pool area is limited and not as good as photos suggest. Felt quite stuffy. Steam room not free for general guests. Fine for a night, but I wouldn't be planning a holiday here. Too far from anywhere nice, like a beach or park. Right off chaotic street. Photos are misleading!

Properties and room were clean and well maintained. Staff were courteous . 1 km from white town . Property is not at white town and in middle of extremely crowded shopping area, not at all desirable area. Room floor 4 and below have carpet and has strong camphor odor . Odor was so strong that it was not livable . We have to change the room to floor 5 which has hardwood flooring and no odor. Hotel management were kind enough to accommodate us by giving two club rooms.

It was a lovely hotel.
The only strange thing about it was after we checked out and paid for the room the wifi was canceled . I suggest you leave the wifi active for a few more hours.

This is an excellent hotel and probably the best option in Pondy and surroundings. Then hotel itself is beautiful, modern, and clean. Staff are friendly, yet some do seem a bit inexperienced. The highlight of our stay was both the breakfast and dinner buffets. I don't usually book half-board but this was really worth it.

L’accueil à là réception était nul et il a fallu s’expliquer pendant une 30 min sur la chambre qu’on avait réservé. La chambre était supposé être 2 lits jumeaux mais l’employé à la réception ne voulait pas honorer notre réservation par Expedia. Elle voulait 75 $ additionnels et disait que Expedia faisait de la fausse publicité.

Hôtel situé dans le quartier indien à 20 mn de marche de la « ville blanche » donc bien situé.
Accueil remarquable tant au check in qu’au restaurant .
Chambre tout confort où tout se pilote sur une tablette ( musique,télévision,climatisation,lumière fermeture des rideaux )très sympa.
Breakfast et dîner avec des produits de qualité et à un prix très doux.
Nous n’avons pas eu le temps de profiter de la piscine indoor.
Au total un hôtel excellent.

The Residency Tower Puducherry bietet modernen Komfort und eine zentrale Lage außerhalb des French Quarters, die es dennoch einfach macht, die Stadt per Fuß zu erkunden. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und gut ausgestattet, jedoch ist die Steuerung von Licht, Klimaanlage und Vorhängen per iPad etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, vor allem, weil sich die Einstellungen automatisch zurücksetzen – zum Beispiel die Klimaanlage auf 21,5 Grad, wenn man nicht aufpasst.

Die Straße vor dem Hotel ist vielbefahren und trubelig. Zudem hört man zu den Gebetszeiten die Moschee nebenan, Das Frühstücksbuffet bietet eine gute Auswahl an lokalen und internationalen Gerichten - zB Dosa, Pfannkuchen und Eierspeisen werden frisch zubereitet.

Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Insgesamt eine gute Wahl für einen Aufenthalt in Puducherry, trotz kleinerer Einschränkungen.
