We had a wonderful stay at Alpenhotel Fleurs de Zermatt. The location is excellent — close to great restaurants, shops, and easy access to the ski lifts, which made our trip so convenient.

The hotel was spotless, cozy, and beautifully maintained. Our room was comfortable and perfect after long days of skiing. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the wellness area was a great place to relax.

We would absolutely stay here again!

Everything about this hotel is excellent! The staff were very helpful from check-in to check out. Clean room, modern amenities, spacious, accommodating, helpful staff! Free pick up and drop off from Zermatt’s train terminal, free luggage storage service after we checked out and had to go skiing, they even let us use their spa shower after skiing. Will come back gain. Thank you Fleur de Zermatt!

Outstanding Stay with Matterhorn Views

We had a fantastic stay at Alpenhotel Fleurs de Zermatt in January 2026. The hotel was spotless, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was excellent — filling enough to last us through a full day on the slopes.

The location is perfect, just a short walk from the main train station, and our room had a clear, stunning view of the Matterhorn. We highly recommend this hotel and will absolutely book here again on our next ski trip to Zermatt.

We received an upgrade and the room we got was spacious and had views of the Matterhorn. There was a spacious balcony as well. The room and bathroom was well appointed with a Nespresso coffee machine in the room. The included breakfast was nice with both cold and hot options. I would definitely stay here again.

Dirty room and poor service
I had a very disappointing experience. The bed sheets were dirty and I even found hair on them, which shows a lack of proper cleaning. The room was not well maintained, and the staff were unfriendly and not helpful when I complained. This is unacceptable for a hotel. I would not recommend staying here.

The building was nice with a large comfortable room. Very clean. Helpful staff. Location was close to the train station and the grocery store. Lovely towels and robe.
No chair for the desk. Needed better in room coffee bar. No hot pot and coffee maker and cups were too small and didn’t work properly.

Check in is at 1530. I arrived at 1515 and was made to wait despite the room being available and the chubby gentleman at the front desk just talking with the young lady he was mentoring in the few minutes until 1530.
In fact, everything about this hotel was excellent except the interactions with the chubby gentleman from reception. That fellow is a liability to the property.

The other staff are friendly, engaging and helpful.

We were only in for 1 night but the hotel looked amazing! Lovely indoor/outside pool, good breakfast, very comy bed and great shower. The location was perfect only a 5 min walk from the railway station and perfect for exploring this fantastic area. We will definitely return soon and spend longer at this hotel in beautiful Zermatt. The safety box was non-functional. Couldn’t repair it during our service. They don’t explicitly tell you that they charge a fee for loosing room access cards. We couldn’t find it when we were leaving. On the positives, room is very modern and comfortable. They had a pick up service from the train station for free. Breakfast was dry good except they didn’t have an English Breakfast tea as an option even though they 10+ other options. Similarly no way to have a tea on the room only coffee. Pool and spa are very good

Matterhorn views didn’t disappoint

we had a very nice large room on the top floor with amazing views of the Matterhorn. The pool was very nice and had special jets that helped ease our muscles after a long day of hiking. The hotel was just far enough off the main strip we didn’t hear the all the noise of any late night activities but still close enough we could walk to all shops and restaurants. If we ever make it back to Switzerland we will be looking to stay here again.

The hostess that received us was kind but not very knowledgeable. When asked for the name of the manager, she declined to provide the name. Her replacement (manager) was rude and arrogant. I asked for water and he told me to get it from the bathroom sink. I asked for a balcony view, he declined to provide options. Overall he is not trained for the position and does not have the mannerism for a courteous and professional Host. transportation is offered but they make excuses for why it is not available.

We upgraded to a suite. Rustic theme. Nice, large room. Pool and steam spa were very good and appreciated. Beautiful view of the Matterhorn. Very convenient overall and a large breakfast option.

Only complaints were the room was so hot it made it difficult to sleep. We lowered the temperature, but that didn’t help. We slept with doors open, but there were a lot of flying insects. The room smelled strongly of weed, even after two days of open doors. Hotel staff were very nice.

We only booked this hotel for one night with the view of catching the glacier express in the morning but stayed for 3 nights as the town experienced bad weather with no power. The hotel went above and beyond to make guest feel welcome on the subsequent night.
They didn’t charge any of the guests for the 2nd night stay as the there was no power at the hotel (not their fault as the whole town didn’t have town, infact the whole valley was without power for 2 days.
On our 3rd night they only charged us token gesture of 50 franks per person which was really cheap.
Absolutely amazing staff and policy of the hotel. Amazing spacious room with spa facilities at the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff are definitely an asset to this hotel.

This property is a little gem! The rooms are way nicer than they appear in the photos, the breakfast is outstanding - perfect for the health and wellness we needed before an active day, and the front desk staff is Outstanding! We had two little situations - 1 where the bed wasn’t made up for the 3rd person in a room, and the front desk lady was working by herself, and all we asked for were the sheets and blankets, but she took it on herself to come up and get this bed ready and the 3rd set of robes and towels. She was awesome through the visit. The other front desk guys were also amazing! They helped when our rental equipment didn’t arrive - by calling them promptly when the store opened. One last thing - this place has an awesome pool and sauna area that is not substantially outlined in the booking. There is an outdoor/indoor warm tub, a cold plunge pool, a foot walking stone spa, a sauna, a steam room, awesome chairs and huge blankets to sit in, 3 different types of showers. The spa is awesome!

Echoing other reviews, the staff is incredibly rude. Not once during our one week stay did someone say good morning or how is your stay. The hotel is located close to the train station in the more “industrial” part of town. The beds are hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom was new. The breakfast was as basic as it gets. There is no bellman. Facilities are very limited. For the price you pay there are far more appealing options.

The hotel was clean, staff was courteous and very responsive to our needs / questions, ski storage was good and included breakfast ample. Access to slopes was walkable, but a bit of a hike each morning with equipment and actually getting onto slopes to ski took a while (almost an hour) to closest slopes. Views of Matterhorn only from upper floors of property - we were on 1st floor and had no views from our family room reservation - which was effectively two rooms across the end of the hall from each other.

BEWARE!!!! Only stay here if you wish to encounter the rudest hotel staff in all the world!! The rudest staff of any property that we have ever stayed including in France!! We were welcomed by asking our guide if he had a parking permit! My wife was told to “be careful” with the wine in the room and told she could not have a glass for her wine. The man at the check in desk is very pretentious and condescending to every guest that we saw him interact t with. (We got to sit in the lobby for an hour waiting until exactly 1530 for our room to be ready)

They refuse to be responsible for storing your luggage and won’t let you check in even one minute before 1530! Our refrigerator in the room wasn’t working and they tried to tell us it’s a “cooler” not a refrigerator but it’s winter in Switzerland and just took temperature.
We had to put our beverages outside on our balcony to cool our drinks.

Breakfast is powdered eggs floating in oil, oily bacon and sausage, make your on hard boiled eggs, pancakes and random meats and cheeses with more rude staff instructing you to put your cell phone away!

Upon check out we were told “II need the keys and to pay the city tax” No thank you for staying with us, no we hope you enjoyed your stay…nothing!!

Worst staff ever and we NEVER felt welcomed for our entire stay. Plenty of other places to stay in Zermatt….DO NOT STSY HERE!!!!!!!

The rooms were comfy (though without individually controlled heating they can get a tad stuffy…. You can open the window by an interesting mechanism that I had to confirm with the staff), and the bathrooms were very nice and spacious for a European ski lodge. Free breakfast was great. One decisive feature that made me choose this hotel was its partially outdoor heated pool. Hot tub après ski is one of my big likes, and their pool, although not heated to jacuzzi temperatures, is still plenty warm for enjoying an outdoor soak in snowy weather. Big sauna and steam room also in the spa. The whole spa closes early, so you can’t really use it for after dinner relaxation, but can treat yourself to a nice après ski indulgence after a day on the slopes.

After an exhausting multi-day journey and a night interrupted by a false fire alarm, my wife and I overslept and requested room service. Our room was admittedly untidy due to open luggage and clothes on the floor - a result of travel fatigue and sleep deprivation.
The following day, a staff member approached us about the room's condition, stating it was \"impossible for room service to clean.\" Their tone and words felt belittling and inappropriate, especially considering the hotel's premium pricing (over $1000 for a 3-night stay). He made my wife feel horrible (to which I later corrected him for doing so)

While we acknowledge our room was messy, it took my wife only five minutes to tidy up, suggesting the situation was not as dire as portrayed. More importantly, we believe that regardless of room condition, staff should maintain professionalism and courtesy when addressing guests.

This interaction significantly impacted our stay. While the hotel has many positive attributes, this experience makes us hesitant to recommend it. Zermatt offers numerous hotel options other than this hotel

This hotel didn’t live up to expectations. Some of the staff were very friendly, others acted put out and annoyed with guests. Another hotel guest confronted my wife in the spa area over wearing a bathing suit, which really made us uncomfortable. She even flashed us, and we decided to notify the front desk. They clearly didn’t want to deal with it and said they’d wait for a manager who ‘spoke better German’ to come. We never heard anything again, even though the other guest was snickering at my wife for the rest of our visit. Would not recommend, too many other options that would be safer.

First time visit to Zermatt and loved staying at Alpenhotel Fleurs de Zermatt. It was a beautiful hotel in a perfect location for our trip. Was approximately a 5 minute walk to the Täsch train station and central shopping in Zermatt. Close to Denner grocery store and bus station. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Good breakfast each more to start the day. Did not get the opportunity to use the sauna area, but pool was relaxing and closed at 8pm during our visit. Room was spacious and had everything we needed. Would definitely return back here.

Very nice hotel, enjoyed a brief stay

We planned to visit Zermatt for the day and failed to check the train schedule for the last train out. We found this hotel on hotels.com; it was one of the only hotels with a room available at a reasonable price.

The location was very close to the train station, and near the heart of it all, but tucked aside in the working area of the town. Walking out to the station, we found we were in the area where all the warehousing seemed to be located for the businesses. Not unpleasant, and rather interesting to see the tiny trucks zooming out to do their business.

We were on the ground floor, so the view was not great... I'm not sure that the views would be any better on upper floors. However, it was a lovely hotel. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. The pool area looked amazing, although it was snowing while we were there. There looked to be a sauna or hot spa of some sort that we didn't have time to check out. I would definitely consider coming back to stay here over some of the more expensive hotels I've stayed in Zermatt in the past.

We came here about 3 weeks ago and due to excessive flooding and rain we couldn’t see the Matterhorn so we decided to come back. The first time Dennis helped us, gave us a great room and was very friendly. The hotel should be proud to have him at the front desk and because of him, we rebooked. The second time, the person at the front desk gave us a room that had a bad odor and the couch was broken and was hard to sit on.

Hotel is beautiful and rooms are very nice. Staff was pleasant and I would recommend staying here.

That said two things that are easy to improve and should be fixed are: (1) the spa closes at 8pm but they kicked us out early at 7:50pm...we timed our return to the hotel so we could enjoy at least the final 30 minutes in the spa but were kicked out early... and (2) they do not list a closing time for the gym. I went down at 9pm to work out and I was told that it closes at 8pm and that they don't list a closing time because it's rarely used. Most hotels with a gym do not close it at 8pm...it should be open 24H or at least later in the night. Zermatt is a wonderful town to explore...which means people will want to use the spa and gym when they return for the day. Both should be open until later in the night given the prices we're paying to stay there.

We were only there one night and we were well taken care of by the staff. Breakfast was included and very good. Locate was perfect. Not to far from Main Street and gondolas. 10/10

We had a view of the Matterhorn from our balcony that was quite impressive. The service was excellent and the room was bright, clean, well organized and pleasant - I was very pleased with the bathroom facilities, the pool and the buffet breakfast!

Good hotel but not so friendly receptionist

The hotel is not acceptable by car, which can be a good experience. The hotel was nice and very clean, but the receptionist was not helpful at all. Not all receptionist were that bad and the first impression was really not good. Also, at the time of checkout we asked them to keep our suitcases (only 2) in a secure place but they said they don’t have one, made us change our whole plan for the day.

We spent 2 weeks traveling around Switzerland and this was our favorite hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was fantastic. Not bad waking up to a view of the sunrise on the Matterhorn!

This place had great potential, but unfortunately we didn’t enjoy our stay as the staff was rude and generally unwelcoming.
We arrived early at 10AM hoping to drop bags while we skied for the day. The check in guy (Nikolai) seemed annoyed before we even opened our mouths and told us to leave bags outside the hotel as they couldn’t be inside (okay?).
We returned at 3:05PM and were told to wait in the lobby until our 3:30PM check-in. There were about 10 other tired looking travelers sitting in the lobby (some sleeping on couches). Seemed very odd that they’d rather have people and bags strewn all over the lobby rather than allow them to check in ~20 minutes early once rooms were ready. At exactly 3:30 they started the check in process which took forever because of the backlog of people.
The spa was only open 3PM-8PM which we found out at 8:05PM when the doors were locked.
There is also a sign on the front door telling guests to turn their brains on before entering. Just very weird and unwelcoming vibes compared to every other place we stayed. Seems like these people don’t actually like people, so perhaps hospitality is not the best industry for them?
