We had a wonderful time at Suitree. We arrived early on a very hot day. They allowed us to utilize the pool and swim up bar while waiting for our room. Staff was wonderful and friendly. Overall pleasant stay but don't expect lush green trees in March. I still highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a unique experience near Liberia.

100000% recommend! We had the most remarkable honeymoon at Suitree. Fly in to Liberia and they will pick you up and it’s about a half hour drive to the remote location. The treehouse suites are incredible with 360 views of the dry forest with a wrap around balcony. It is the perfect place for relaxation, quiet, and nature and the rooms are spotless clean and everything feels so new. What made the experience even more wonderful was the staff and the incredible food. The staff made our stay so lovely and found every opportunity to create special moments for us each step of the way. We felt so cared for. They even put together a honeymoon surprise dinner for us which was the greatest gift.

The food was very delicious from breakfast, lunch, dinner. The menu is very dietary friendly with options for vegans, gluten free and more. The selection of cocktails, wines, and juices were outstanding. It is very kid friendly while at the same time is very romantic, calming, and intimate. We took part in several cooking classes with the chef, and went on several excursions including a fantastic jungle boat tour and tasty apiary tour. We also got couples massages in our suite. Food and excursions were good values and seemed affordable for what you received.

Thank you to Giovanni, Brandon, Carlos, Johnny, Josue, Greys, Paulo, Alonso, Thomas, and Marilyn. We will always remember how special this trip was and recommend it for couples, families, groups, and friends looking for a perfect getaw

The property and room were spectacular. The restaurant was incredible and the quality of the cuisine was top notch. The cocktails were delicious. But the stand out was the staff. Giovanni, Paolo Bonilla, Greys, Brandon, and Johnny made us feel like this was our home away from home. Highly recommend. Incredible views from the rooms. The rooms were modern and well designed too. Super comfortable beds.

This is a truly unique hotel! The rooms are amazing and the sunset deck was the perfect spot to watch the sunset with a delicious cocktail. The pool was lovely and the restaurant had one of the best steaks I have ever had. Music on Saturday evenings was a bonus.

The garden suite was wonderful as was the entire property. So unique, peaceful and an excellent viewing of the stars from the lookout site. But what stood out though was the fantastic service from Paulo, Johnny and Luis and everyone else, who treated us as if we were the most important people in the world. This is truly an unforgettable space and team!

I wish I could give 10 stars. The incredibly friendly and helpful staff has made this a trip we will never forget. The views are breathtaking, the rooms are beautiful, and the food was delicious. The howler monkeys in the trees were icing in the cake!

Unique “treehouse” experience. Amazing forest/mountains view. It was quite of a delight to stay in such of eco-friendly environment. Great food at the Hotel Taru restaurant. Truly a hidden gem and quite the experience. Nestled away in the trees, very unassuming area when driving through to get there, then once arriving—spectacular!
Jovani took care of the check-in, very smooth and seamless. Gave us a golf cart ride to our room and delivered our bags.
Carlos, restaurant manager, made us a welcome drink. Very personable and felt like old friends.
Johnny was also personable and an excellent waiter. He had great conversations with us and really great person!
Angel, Greys, Brandon in the restaurant are attentive, kind, and enjoyed knowing them. Brandon made very flavorful drinks and Greys makes the best cafe mochas with intricate designs!! They each made this truly an incredible experience!
Pablo, Suitree Manager, is very personable and checked in when we saw him around the grounds to see if anything was needed. The staff are doing an excellent job and Pablo’s leadership is exemplary.
The grounds are beautiful and pools are inviting. A tranquil environment sitting on the balcony of the room, laying on the couch swing below the room, the sitting area off the pathway, or by the pool bar; definitely soothes the soul!
Our last night there was a tropical storm which was very intense and had not happened to this extreme previously and information was sent via the WhatsApp to keep us informed and safe. They did a great job in managing the situation. Was wild and quite an experience!
Only regret not staying longer. Definitely will be back!

Was a cool place but staff seemed to ignore us just after we arrived. For the price per room we expected much better service throughout the stay. A shame, especially on our honeymoon which they knew about. Probably wouldn’t recommend.

So many great things about this property! We ended up in the treehouse at the top of the property. Amazing views and the most spectacular sunset on the second of our two nights. Saw some different birds and horses grazing on the hillsides (courtesy of the binoculars in the room). Lots of storage. Room darkening shades all the way around which were necessary to close all the way during the first day when it was really sunny and warm. The unit only has one AC next to the master bed so we asked for a fan which was promptly delivered to help keep the bunk beds cool at night. The next day was cloudier and so we were able to keep the curtains open to enjoy the views. Beds were really comfy too.

The restaurant on site has really delicious food and the chef, Johnny, was very friendly and took great care of us at lunch and dinner. He made some specialty drinks table-side for us and we were very happy with our meals (breakfast was included but still off a menu). The staff were all really friendly and continued to refill our canteens from the bar and provide us with rides in the golf cart to the top of the hill because it was so hot. The stone pool felt really secluded and there was never anyone else there though the resort was full. The only caution I would share, and this applies to anyone driving in the Liberia/Guanacaste area, is to definitely get a 4x4 vehicle Many areas, including those leading to the resort, are unpaved and very rocky and windy. Very sad to go!!!

The hotel’s serene and picturesque surroundings created the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing and memorable getaway with our kids.
The tree top suite concept is so unique. They were beautifully designed, spacious, and clean. Waking up to the sounds of nature and breathtaking 360 degree views of the lush Costa Rican landscape was a highlight of each day. It was extremely quiet and private, (there are only 7 rooms?) which we loved. The only sounds we would hear were from the surrounding birds and monkeys.
The hotel is located in the middle of the mountains, for those looking to immerse themselves in Costa Rica’s natural beauty. For us, we had planned a few excursions that allowed us to see more of Costa Rica’s beauty. I would recommend either booking excursions or renting a vehicle, as it is about a 15 minute drive to the closest town of Sardinal.
One of the standout features of Suitree Hotel is its incredible customer service. The staff were incredibly attentive, ensuring that every need was met with a smile. They were knowledgeable about the local area and were always happy to share recommendations and information that would make our experience better. We would like to thank Johnny, Grace, Brandon and Paolo for their superb service that really made the trip amazing!
The hotel’s restaurant served delicious and fresh meals that are locally sourced. All the drinks were fantastic as well.

This was an absolutely marvelous hotel in a challenging spot to get to. Don't let that stop you. The rooms, the food, the drinks, the views - everything was outstanding. Just one small thing.. you better be fit to very fit. The entire place is in a hill and it's unique and special, but I did 60 days of HIIT and weights to prep for this trip so I would not be the \"old woman\" who couldn't get around. So glad I did! They do have golf carts, but we just found ourselves walking. Truly charming and unforgettable little gem.

Above and Beyond Expectations!!

My wife and I decided to stay the night before we connected with the rest of our family at another resort, and the decision was well worth it! We wished we could’ve stayed longer!

The property and rooms are beautiful and well thought out! We were immediately greeted by the friendly staff when we arrived. The check in was very smooth and they took our bags to our room while we enjoyed a complimentary drink at the bar.

The suite was amazing! Wrap around balcony giving 360 degree views of the valley. Each suite is very private. We had a private pool which was awesome to use.

Since the resort is only 8 rooms, the staff makes sure each person has a personalized and memorable experience. Johnny was the best! He’s their sommelier and we had a great conversation.
Dinner was the best meal we had in Costa Rica. Our favorite part was the steaks that were sourced from a local rancher and the fresh caught ceviche. There wasn’t a bad part of the meal.

It was a memorable stay and definitely recommend staying here!

Magical place. Definitely out of the way, and with the recent bad weather it was tough to have Ubers come get us.
Restaurant is awesome. Staff are great. Only thing that really stuck out is pricing. If you don’t do the full board package, you’re paying for meals, which meant $16usd smoothies, $40usd chicken breast specials, and $22usd cocktails.
Their food and drink options were better than good, but, very inconsistent if you were to order the same thing again.
The property itself is amazing. Rooms are so cool. 360’ glass viewing.
Loved everything except it was visibility expensive for what you get. You wouldn’t get that food for that price in the states/Canada and that’s their major market of guests.

My reservation was not honored as made. I was bumped to a tree top unit, that was more expensive, double the price, because at had 3 guess and mot two.
The initial reservation did not allow to request for 3 guess.
Addionally, the food in the restaurant was terrible and poorly served. Restaurant did not meet the standards the property claims to have.

This place is truly remarkable. 5 stars and a must for those craving an exclusive experience. First and foremost know that the drive to the hotel is very rural with roads that are not developed, many potholes, and one path requires driving through a river, we chalked all this up to part of the experience. Make sure to follow the signs on the road as Google maps takes you the wrong way. There are only 8 suites so this place feels very exclusive. The suitrees are gorgeous and luxurious with nice products, linens, towels, and layout. Just be prepared to get a workout in while getting to your room, again it’s part of the experience. My husband and I got massages on our wrap around deck and they were the best massages ever. Not only were the therapists outstanding but the tranquility of the jungle setting and sounds of rain (rainy season) made for a truly unique experience. I’d highly recommend a massage during your stay. Taru restaurant was another amazing experience with delicious drinks and food at every meal. Thank you Kenneth for your passion, Brandon, and Johnny! All of them go above and beyond to ensure your dining experience is exceptional. They really connect with you and make you feel like family. I enjoyed everything I ate. My favorite was the typical breakfast and the fish burger for dinner. And the desserts, yum yum! Overall I would highly recommend the suitree experience

Despite request for road condition info - no response. Road signage dangerous. Flooded access. Fault in bathroom pipes = continuous LOUD noise. Leak thro roof and wall. No chairs in room. Outside chairs wet.

This hotel is stunning, the views are as magnificent as you would assume from the photos. Underrated part was the fantastic binoculars provided in the room for exploring the canopy. The breakfast was really tasty and they make a pretty good iced latte. Staff was all very friendly. Only pain point was that the staff was a little bit persistent in trying to upswell food and drink, but they always did so in a fun and friendly manner.

The road to get there was a bit tricky. You might not need 4WD, but if you’ll want something with a decent amount of ground clearance to get over some big potholes.

Not what we expected

I was very disappointed with Riu Palace Costa Rica, I will not be returning. The road to the hotel small very bumpy 15-20 min drive, made me nauseous. This is the only road being the hotel is atva dead end. So any excursions or when you leave hotel you have to use this road and at night its very dark. The Hotel was not up to Par with the RIU BRAND or other resorts Ive stayed in. The room smelled(luckily I brought essential oils to mask smell but smell came back everyday), room was cheap, tv poor quality. The all inclusive was not worth it, food or drinks. We ate out the entire trip, even stayed at another hotel for a night. The customer service just wasnt there, no one was rude or any issues Just overall wasnt very friendly like other resorts IYKYK. I was there for my Birthday with 3 other friends we had two rooms. Overall we made the best of Costa Rica and stayed out the stinky rooms majority of trip doing excursions and sight seeing.

Also the beach is not \"giving\", the locals hang there, stray dogs and smell of urine from guys just urinating by trees.
