I really enjoyed my stay here but unfortunately the food was not always fresh. A lot of the snack foods were from frozen.
Filter coffee was only available in the breakfast buffet and then taken away.
At the bar the nice coffees were no longer being served due to shortage of capsules.
I know they are winding down for the season but a decent coffee was nowhere to be had.
Apart from that the rooms were impeccable. The gardens and grounds beautiful and the staff were extremely polite and helpful.

The hotels rooms have an air condition issue. Some rooms the air condition doesn’t work. Some you can change and some are cold which is very strange.
The was some electrical issues where electricity turned off a couple of times and the TV didn’t work.
The WiFi was good and they have an all inclusive buffet and a midnight snack.
This is NOT a 5 star hotel.

We just stayed one night. The facilities were fine, but I didn't like the room because it was extremely hot and we didn't want to open the patio doors for air as we were on the ground floor with no enclosed private area. The pillow was very uncomfortable as it was too thick and made of hot synthetic fibre. I hardly slept at all.

A standard 5-star hotel in a very good beach

We stayed at Samara in October, hoping it would be less crowded during the off-season. However, it was still busier than we expected. As the most affordable 5-star hotel in the region, many holidaymakers ended up staying here.

The hotel itself feels stuck in the 1990s in terms of décor and aesthetics, but we really enjoyed the garden space and the openness of the premises. The staff were polite and reasonably friendly (though their English could be improved). The pools were great, and the facilities were sufficient to keep you and your family entertained.

Overall, the hotel ticks all the boxes required for a 5-star rating, but the quality of the facilities leaves much to be desired.

It is a great place. I highly recommended. It’s beautiful. People were very professional. Very kind I was upgraded. Our room was absolutely fantastic. We really love it. We had a good look at the pools the beach. Everything appears to be really impeccable. Everybody there was very good service. There was a lot of delicious food And people were very courteous. Unfortunately, I have planned only one night but I will come back and it will request to come to the same hotel because it was absolutely beautiful. I would like to spend a little bit more time there.

The hotel has olive trees, banana trees, palm trees, you can swim while looking at the forest & mountain because of all those things it was very relaxing. Staff were so helpful, cheerful. The sea was amazing. Going to downtown Bodrum by taxi 10-15 min. Next year definitely will come here again☺️

Bathrooms were extremely dirty — at 9 a.m. in the spa area, every stall was messy, the garbage bin was overflowing with toilet paper, and there was even a bloody feminine product. When we asked for a cab, we were told it would take 10 to 30 minutes, but no one seemed sure. The resort is very family-focused, with most entertainment geared toward young children. We also noticed leftover food being reused for lunch, dinner, and even late-night snacks — very disappointing.

When i first checked in the room i was assigned to was probably not cleaned. There was a pair of shorts on the balcony that did not belong to us. There was bedding on the couch as if someone had been sleeping there and it was not removed. The air in the room was not cold enough and i asked to have it looked at. They said the air was fine but the room was still hot. After two days we were moved to another room and immediately noticed that the bed had bugs in it and there was hair on the linen as if it hadn't been changed. I was moved to another room. Finally things were ok.

Samara is an older resort hotel that offers a constant service to guests at an affordable price with an average quality at Turkey resort’s standards. Its a family friendly place that can be fun during the day with constant food/pastry service by the beach but it didn’t have any night time plan and more cosy spot to hang out with friends and family. Overall its designed for larger groups to hang out with each other who want to have average quality food at abundance and enjoy a large beautiful resort with a good clear beach.

Wonderful stay in Bodrum! About 10 min from the city cente and 25 min from the airport. Enjoyed the accommodations, very comfortable beds and a wide selection of foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner; they even had snacks & ice cream poolside. Plenty of seating and activity for all ages. They thought of everything!

General manager mr. Zafer excelled with everything. He made sure everything was on par and was on hand to assist his staff and the guests. İt is a family oriented resort but serviced adults as well. Excellent resort for what you pay . Smoking in meal areas, around children and around food was not to our liking, as my wife has an allergy. I recommend smoking areas to be seperate. it could or could not be good for bussiness. I could never understand the mentality of parents who smoke around children, especıally turkish families. We dont smoke and ı definitly would not have been a guest if ı had small children. Another downfall was the presence of chıldren piled up at the pool bar bench where the alcohol was being served. guests could not get close to the pool bar area due to the chıldren . I also disagree with allowing alcohol being consumed inside the pool, as on many occasıons ı had witnessed guests spilling alot of the alcohol into the pool water. This could be detremental to the health of guests and their chıldren.Alcohol should be consumed innthe pool bar area. these ı beleive are of serıous concern. if booking fees were to be lifted to a more reasonable level, then ı dont think better paying healt concıous guests would be booking here. overall apart from the points ı mentıoned above, ı gıve this resort 9/10. İt would cost more to feed a family of 4 on the outside. İts cheap as chips.excellent and helpfull general manager.

Good: good size property- not too big and not too small

Bad: Smaller size means that the activities and kids club are next to none. Kids club is organised in a small house of a size of a garden shed

Ugly: We had a full see view room- 476. The view was nice but the noise from the neighbouring hotels was awful. On Friday and Saturday the music was as loud as 96db at the entrance of my room and 55db inside. The music was ingoing until 1am on Friday and 1.30am on Saturday. I personally, don’t find it acceptable especially as we were travelling with a toddler. The hotel tried to point to Victory day celebrations but speaking to other hotel staff and clients this is the case whenever the other hotel does have an event/party on.

Thus, if you want to go to sleep earlier than 1am- don’t stay in a sea view corner room. For me this means that I will not return as I want my family to have a good sleep and I want to see the sea when I wake up.

I personally found that how expedia and hotel dealt with this matter was not appropriate given the fact that a child is in the room which is exposed to such noise and vibration as we were basically given no tangable alternatives and asked to accomodate the situation

Bodrum Samara Hitel is an amazing place! Other than one slight hiccup, the check in process was quite smooth, thanks to the great front desk staff that was friendly, professional, and very helpful! Our room was immediately ready, but after a short 30 minute wait, we were lead to our spacious newly renovated two bedroom suite… and just one word to describe it: wow! Everything you need for a luxury vacation was thought of! You could practically live here for months, not that we didn’t think about it!!! Spacious bedrooms, great bathrooms, an amazing living area, and enough closet space for a small army!!! And to top it off, a spectacular view of the sea!!! Dining options was plentiful, and the quality of the food was ex! The layout of the overall resort was was planned, big enough where you’re not on top of other guests, but not so big where you get lost when returning to your room! The resort is also quite beautiful from a landscaped perspective. However, the wonderful staff truly make the resort feel like home, you just don’t want to leave! Don’t gloss over Samara hotel Bodrum while looking for a place to stay during your vacation searches!

Great hotel, brilliant room, friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel, but especially in the restaurant. Ersin was an oustanding manager. However, the main problem was the excessive noise from unsupervised children, whose parents often made no attempt to quieten them, particularly in the restaurant. A Code of Conduct should be considered for all families with small children, as many parents made no attempt to consider the other guests, who had to contend with excessive noise at mealtimes...

Nightmarish Stay at Hotel Samara

Our stay at Hotel Samara was an absolute nightmare. The service was horrendous, and the staff seemed disinterested in providing even the most basic hospitality.

The check-in experience was nothing short of disrespectful, with the management displaying a complete lack of professionalism and courtesy.

Throughout my stay, I felt neglected and ignored, with my requests for simple things like room extra bed and housekeeping falling on deaf ears. It was evident that guest satisfaction was not a priority for the hotel.

The overall condition of the hotel was dismal. The rooms were outdated, unclean, and in dire need of maintenance. The lack of attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the worn-out furniture to the dirty carpets.

To make matters worse, the hotel's location left much to be desired, with noisy surroundings and no access to nearby attractions or amenities.

We had expected better from a hotel listed on Hotel.com, but Hotel Samara was a complete letdown. I strongly advise against booking a stay here unless you want to endure a truly terrible experience.

Save yourself the trouble and find a more welcoming and accommodating option elsewhere.

On arrival, there was no one to great us. At the check-in there was expressionless guy named Mustafa who was rude, indifferent, pretty much a smart-ass. When asked why despite our specific prior request to put our groups' room close to each other he has scattered us all over the property...he replied angrily that they are busy. There was one bellboy hauling our suitcases. The staff was not trained in greeting patrons, they would just stare us down. No hellos or even a simple smile. This was a universal trend even with their management. Amazing since they advertise on American portals and pull-in US tourists to their facility. Yet no one spoke a word of English. Our room was flimsy, bare-bone, dull (nothing on the walls), and small. Funny, they have a closet in the room that its width is less then the clothes hangers. When closing the sliding door all the clothes fall off the cheap hangers. Out of six USB slots in the room only two worked intermittently. Notified the reception. But, nothing was done. Consequently, we were constantly running out of phone and watch batteries. The wifi was weak would drop constantly. Two pools. The infants/kids were in the 16 swimming pool. Complained to management 3 times to no avail . Only one restaurant with limited hours. Terrible food variety. Cheap alcoholic drinks. Everybody incl management smoked everywhere. Small smelly gym with no ventilation. The massage guy was constantly on you to sell massage. 1 manager named Dogukan was pleasent

What an awful experience !
The plan was to reserve the bungalow deluxe room which we did, thought we were paying for that but instead what we got was a very old standard room. We complained to the manager, he answered us that there is no other available rooms for the moment. I asked for a refund, they refused, but they promised to move us to another room the next day.

The next room smelled like a intolerable strong cigarette smoke everywhere: blankets, curtains, towels… tv didn’t work and what's better than spending the night with an extra guest COCKROACHE !!!!!!

So we complained again and the third day they moved us to another room but it seemed old visitors didn’t want to leave our company COCKROACHE again !!!!!

Struggling for 3 days where we finally left at the fifth.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences i have ever had I would not recommend It to anyone .

Very disappointing, definitely not a five star hotel .

Samara Hotel is one of the best hotels I visited. A very stylish, safe hotel for families with great entertainment services. Also, the hotel had a great staff and when we got to the hall, Aysu at the front desk was very welcoming and gave us the best room with the most useful information. I definitely recommend a trip to this hotel for a good time.

It was an amazing stay with our 13 month old daughter. Everything was taken care of perfectly. As the Hotel was opening we had some issue with the heating but it got taken care of immediately. I have some persistant neck pain, I raised this question with client relations and again I was offered a menu of pillows that would accomodate my requirements. The food was fresh and delicious. Although we checked in at 01:00 we were still offered warm food on buffet. The views are better than the pictures and overall it was an amazing pleasant stay for us. We would definatley be coming back. Caterina from client relations is very good at her job. She did an amazing job.

My room was located on the first floor. Till 2 a.m i heard a disco and after 2 a.m hotel started polish the floors (or something else but using very loud machine). I had never slept in such extremly loud hotel. Even with the close windows I heard loud people under my window.I highly NOT recomended for people who want to rest.

i experienced a huge scam in samara hotel

i encountered the biggest scam i ever had in a hotel.we found a big cockroach in the room when we checked in.the manager told us to cancel our resvn with hotels.com &stay 1night & they will refund the 2nd night.&when we did & cancelled they asked us to pay for that night & claimed they didn’t recieve their money from hotel.com.of course we refused to pay bcuz we already paid for 2night for 2rooms a looooot of money.the manager refused to fix the problem or even talk about it. &he locked our rooms & kicked us out of the hotel even though we had a baby & children with us.he claimed they didn’t receive any payments from hotels.com which is impossible. i emailed hotel.com many times & called the costumer number many times but no answer. huge scam & im hoping someone here can help us & be fair to us🙏i lost a lot of money in this hotel scam🙏🙏🙏

The hotel is not 5* for sure. More of a 4*.
Alcohol is dreadful, so are the cocktails. Food options in the main restaurant are limited. Fake advertising of a luxury hotel. Bare in mind the photographs of the hotel is 10 times better than it actually looks like.
Territory is tiny.
We only stayed for a couple of days before travelling to a different hotel.
Overall it’s ok, you get what you pay for I suppose but don’t expect a luxurious experience

The hotel is very nice and the beach is comfortable. A lot of people as this is a bog hotel. The staff are like robots so not the most friendly and welcoming. The food is good, but could be better. The rooms are pretty spacious and the property is beautiful. I felt like we didn't get to truly enjoy the hotel as you really didn't know what was happening. I felt more like cattle than a guest. Be careful of the taxi service the hotel calls for you when you go places, they tried to over charge us. You'd think the hotel would be aware of who they do business with and not allow their guests to be taken advantage of. Good wifi!

Overall the experience was unpleasant, the only nice part was the staff that was always friendly and helpful.

The beach itself is small and with a lot of tiny and sharp rocks making it easy to get small cuts. It was also next to impossible to get reasonable sun beds, unless you went at 7am to leave a towel on them. The pools where however decent.

The drinks served where the worst one could possible get. They were borderline drinkible. Buying anything else was highly expensive, especially when compared with the prices from the surrounding area.

The food, well... There where some good options, but must of the food offered was quite modest. The breakfast was particularly bad with few options that where also bad. The other food options where generally fatty and oily.

They also had a so-called a-la-carte restaurant. A real joke. No food choices, and what was served was awful and in small quantities.

The gym was decent but had very few options with a weird program from 9:00-21:00.

The room was OK, but defenitly not what one may expect from a 5star hotel, it was more like a 3-4stars place.

Furthermore the area is quite remote and if you want to visit anything tangible one needs to travel quite a bit to do so.

The best ever

It was 100% perfect. The foods were really delicious for all tastes. The behaviour af the personnel and the managers were great and they completely respected the customers' needs and expectations. The beach and pool was really excellent. The entertainment programs were amazing ( acrobat, traditional dancing, brazillian, belly dancing, and all other programs). The cleanness we really good and the rooms were quite tidy. Any problems that happened the staffs and managers were quite helpful to solve it as fast as possible. The prestige and the level of behaviour were quite high and beyond the standards, really really great. My family and i have travelled over 25 countries but this stay was the most enjoyable with full of funs for us.

Great value resort

Great off season all inclusive rate. The resort was a bit dated but kept very clean. Food was very decent. No complain for the price they offered.

1- The notion of 'All Inclusive' is a myth over there unless you want to have soft drinks or cheap vodka and ok food.
2- If you don't speak Turkish, you'll probably have a hard time over there communication with staff.

Great hotel

We loved this hotel. Beautiful grounds, great facilities and private beach, and friendly staff. The room was comfortable, spacious and quiet as it was set apart from the main hotel lobby. Food was very good overall and the late breakfast option was a big plus for us as we hate getting up early for breakfast on holiday. I wish more hotels offered this. Its bit out of the way if you dont have a car. We did, so it was a great base from which to explore the whole peninsular.

Wir waren als Familie mit einem Baby im Hotel und hatten uns eigentlich auf einen entspannten Urlaub gefreut. Positiv hervorheben möchten wir, dass wir bei der Ankunft ein Zimmerupgrade bekommen haben – das war eine nette Geste und das Zimmer selbst war sauber und geräumig.

Leider konnten die restlichen Aspekte des Aufenthalts nicht überzeugen. Das Hotel war extrem überfüllt, sodass es fast unmöglich war, beim Essen oder am Pool einen Sitzplatz zu finden. Gerade mit einem kleinen Kind war das sehr stressig.

Auch die Qualität der Speisen entsprach leider nicht unseren Erwartungen. Das Buffet war zwar umfangreich, aber geschmacklich eher durchschnittlich und die Auswahl wiederholte sich häufig.

Ein weiterer negativer Punkt war die Situation mit dem Sonnenschirm: Da wir mit einem Baby unterwegs waren, baten wir um einen schattigen Platz. Uns wurde jedoch mitgeteilt, dass man uns nicht helfen könne und wir uns selbst etwas suchen sollen – obwohl wirklich alles voll war. Das fanden wir sehr schade und nicht dem Service-Niveau entsprechend, das wir erwartet hatten.

Insgesamt war unser Aufenthalt durch die Überfüllung, das Essen und den mangelnden Service leider nicht so erholsam, wie wir es uns gewünscht hätten – auch wenn das Zimmerupgrade ein kleiner Lichtblick war.
