They say breakfast is included at the hotel, but breakfast is only available on weekends, and on other days, you can only order one plate of breakfast.
If you want anything extra, it's quite expensive.
They also say there is a meeting room, but when we used the room to meet with our company lawyer, we witnessed a loud argument between the employer and employee in the next room. When we warned them, the owner of the workplace said there was nothing they could do.
There are coffee machines in the rooms, but they don't provide coffee capsules; you have to buy them separately from the hotel.
The hotel has a small 9 m² pool. When we got in, all our swimsuits and belongings got covered in silicone because they had opened the pool without letting the silicone dry properly.
They cleaned our belongings and returned them three days later, and we couldn't use the pool service for three days.
They take a deposit upon check-in, and we went to the reception the day before and asked if we could check out a little late because we had a flight.
After receiving a positive response, we checked out 20 minutes late.
However, the arrogant and conceited fake office manager at the reception desk informed us that this was not possible and that he would have to deduct 1250 Mexican pesos from our deposit because we checked out late. No matter how much we tried to explain, he insisted on doing this and deducted the amount from our deposit.

Beautiful hotel, however very dark with bad lighting. No coffee in your room, towels are old and need replaced. Manager was quite rude and abrupt for no reason. Couldn’t check in 5 minutes early. Had to sit in the lobby until called at exactly 3. Only friendly staff was the valet and a gentleman at the door with espresso.

The hotel is very nice for the price! The reason I took one star, was because we ran out of toilet and tissue paper, one night, I asked them and never was delivered to my room, until the next day that I had to call them again. Good thing we always have wipes lol!

I got a suite so I could have a hot bath after my medical procedure. The next morning I went to take a shower before the clinic and there was no hot water. No shower for me, so I went dirty and unshaven. Came back later that day and still no hot water. 4 different people came to my room. Finally at 8pm they changed my room. The next room had a hot shower but no hot water in the sink or tub. Also the tub was filthy. Could write my name in the bottom. Will not stay there again

Please do yourself a favor do not stay at this location. When checking in front desk will ask for cash only as a deposit. When checking out front desk personal is extremely rude, if missing toilet paper or coffee supplies will charge you for it. Also, if you leave your key card behind the room they will charge you for it.

This place is a money grab stay away from it

Staff was courteous and helpful. Room was clean except for the shower. There was slippery yellow area around door stop on shower's floor. I reoorted it once but was never clean during my stay. I've encounter same cleaning issue in my previous visits. Over all, room is always spacious and clean.

The room was very hot and it had holes on the floor. The shower was dirty.
The staff was good. The bells men that was there the day we arrive was Amazing, he helped us with everything and brought our luggage to the room and explained more to us about the room than the front desk.
The pool was a disappointment and dirty. It smelled bad. I would not be staying here again. I guess they put me in the room they did because I did not pay the $400 plus dollars.

The hotel staff were very hostile and rude and treated me in an ungrateful way. They had the option to create a repeat customer, but they chose to treat me in a way that would cause me not to want to return. They did not seem to be concerned about guest experience.

A hotel with so much more potential

First impressions are a very nice hotel, both inside and out, but then comes the disappointment.
The vast majority of the staff are very friendly and accomodating, but there was a lady at the front desk that was very unfriendly and not helpful. I arrived a couple of hours early and was told an early check-in wasn't possible, maybe 15 mins before the 15:00 check-in time, but that wasn't guarenteed!
It turns out the was only 30% full, so why wasn't an early check-in possible?!
For a 4 star hotel I would have at least expected the hotel restaurant to have an english menu, especially as with AI it really wouldn't complicated or hard to do. The service, for a nearly empty restaurant was incredibly poor (or maybe my standards/expectations were to high).

It's very unfortunate but I wouldn't stay there again or recommend it, as there are cheaper options in the area.

It's ok, service could be better.

It's a great hotel, however they ask for a deposit and I had happened to not have any card at the time or cash (my check in was around 11pm) the lady at front desk was very mad and almost denied my access, however another gentleman in reception took my id as the deposit. Overall good hotel, I personally didn't like the deposit policy they have.

Good, except this last time

I have stayed at this hotel several times, the staff are helpful and provide good service. However this last time there were several things out of order. The pool was out of order, the carpet in the hall had large stains and was dirty and the window in my room was covered by a plastic graphic design. Seemed as if the window was broken, or the view was not suitable so it was essentially boarded over and covered by a plastic graphic.

In other occasions I had stayed and everything was great.

I would rate this hotel a 5 star if it wasn’t for their eco A/C. I had to call maintenance 3 times for a 5 day stay. We had a good night the first day and then that evening/next day our A/C broke down and it got extremely hot and it was 85 degrees in our room and would not change anything called maintenance and it was fixed. But then it would consist every night after that where the A/C would shut off and not come back on. So we would suffer every night in 85 degrees inside out room and nothing was done about it. They should should consider having an off and on switch on this. We would wake up sweating and would walk around hoping it would turn on the A/C but it would not function. If they would fix this they stay would be good.

We were in town to see an uncle that was in the hospital. Ricardo the manager of the hotel make you feel soooo welcomed. Super friendly and the entire staff always greets you with kindness. I will be staying at Baruk every time I get the chance to be in GDL!

En general el hotel es muy lindo, las habitaciones excelentes, pero los detalles al final tienen nota de cero. No habia plancha, me llevaron una sucia y descompuesta, al final no pude planchar mi ropa, para los ejecutivos ir a una reunión con la ropa arrugada no es bueno. Por otro lado el personal en general, mal humorado, en recepción pesimo el servicio, en el restaurante el personal insuficiente y si uno no deja suficiente propina hacen caras.

Great clean hotel near Chapalita and many other great places in Guadalajara. We walked every day we stayed there and found delicious food just minutes away. The staff were super friendly!

Review for Hotel BARUK in Guadalajara: A Comedy of Errors in Disguise

Hotel BARUK is like a bad joke you keep hoping will get better—but it doesn’t. The rooms weren’t properly cleaned, soap dispensers stayed empty for our entire stay, and the air conditioning beeped constantly like it was testing my patience. Sleep? Forget it.

To test the level of service, we asked for a toothbrush—three nights in a row. Each time, they promised to deliver, and once even offered to sell us one (we agreed). Guess what? It never came. They also expected two adults and a child to share one robe, as if we were auditioning for a sitcom. And the cherry on top? We were overcharged for food that never even arrived—only caught after we pointed it out.

All this while staring at the well-run, gorgeous hotel across the way, reminding us of what good service could have been. The valet team worked hard, but they’re not magicians—they couldn’t save the disaster that is BARUK.

If you’re into frustration and a bit of unintentional comedy, this is your place. Otherwise, book anywhere else.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful hotel, and I must say it exceeded my expectations. The rooms are not only spacious but also incredibly comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring the city. The staff truly stands out with their friendly and welcoming demeanor, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive.

The overall atmosphere is wonderfully relaxing, making it an ideal choice for a city getaway. I appreciated the hotel’s excellent amenities, which added to the overall experience.

However, I did encounter a couple of minor issues during my stay. One of the three phones in our room was non-functional, which left me feeling a bit disconnected from the front desk should we need assistance. Additionally, on the weekend, the sound of children running in the hallways was somewhat distracting.

Despite these minor inconveniences, I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the city. Overall, it’s a fantastic place that I would gladly return to! The Manager Ricardo is extremely welcoming and professional. It was a pleasure meeting him.

they took an additional 100$ deposit after I paid for my stay in full for an obligatory factional fee...they claim there going to reimburse me but they also claim that was in there terms and conditions on EXPEDIA but this is lie. The stay was nice but I don't enjoy being deceived.
