The room was very clean a bit small but perfect for one night. It was on the main strip so very convenient as far as places to eat and things to do. The website for the hotel does say there is a restaurant on site and there is not! That was a big turn off for me. The other thing that really put a damper on my stay was I asked the front desk to please call me a taxi to get to the cruise ship and he would not do it. He said I should have had a reservation and told me to walk to the train station. Thank goodness we were able to walk to the train station and get a bus. I would probably never stay here again just because he would not help me when I really needed it.

Hotel has late check in so this was Idea when landing 22.30 on the Civitavechia ferry from Barcelona. Staff efficient. Room was traditional Italian style. Bed was very comfortable. Would stay again if coming into Civitavechia late.

We stayed at the Mediterraneo Suisse for one night prior to our cruise. We got there at 1:05 PM and were able to check in. We were told our rate did not qualify us for their breakfast, but we could purchase it for 10 Euro each. We opted not to purchase it since we were getting on the cruise ship the next morning anyway. We were given a large room key with a tassel. We booked a double room with a sea view. The room was long and narrow with a large picture window overlooking the ocean and adjacent park. The room was clean with outdated furnishings and minimal amenities. It did have a mini-fridge. The bathroom was spotless but lacked a toilet paper holder and tissues. It had wall-mounted soap/shampoo dispensers. The towels were adequate. The shower door was off track, but I managed to get it back in place. The great things about this hotel were the price and the location. We walked minutes from the train station, and the cruise port shuttle was visible from my window. There were plenty of dining options close by on the boulevard. The boulevard was across from an oceanfront park. I would gladly stay there again for a short visit. Note: my son stayed down the hall from me and had a renovated bathroom.

Front desk service is terrible beyond compare! Service attitude is terrible except the elder lady. Rooms not available at 3 as stated in the document. When asked when it will.be ready, 'i don't know'. After pressing for time rooms be available, the older man said 4 pm. Also blaming the cleaning staff being late and they are very busy. So it did not deliver what was promised and their attitude was 'you are bothering'. Very very disappointed. If I check out late at 1 pm, they will bill us for 50% of the room fare. They can be late with the rooms with the attitude 'too bad'.

The hotel is close to many local restaurants and shopping. You are close to the beach walk - a modern very well maintained spacious walk along the ocean. Great sunsets from many of the eateries along the way.
Getting to the ship on embarkation day was an easy 5 minute walk to the train station where many busses were ready to take you directly to your cruise line - 6 euros per person.

The check in process was somewhat pleasant. I didn’t like the fact that my credit card was charged a pre-authorization when I paid extra for reserve now and pay later at hotel. Upon arrival, the clerk advised that the credit card used to reserved the rooms were charged a pre-authorization charge when that should not have happened. The clerk named Ana was unpleasant, unfriendly and lack customer service and interpersonal skills. When asked her name to address her by name, she responded with “why do you want to know my name?” To which I responded, I would like to address you by name as courtesy while having a conversation about getting an item from the kitchen. The hotel rooms were clean, modern rooms, but there were no complimentary hygiene products provided or kitchenette items.
Unfortunately, only spent one night, so I cannot elaborate on certain facilities factors, but the hotel is located in a wonderful area close to the port. Ideal spot close to a few mini shops and boutique shops.

She did not feeling comfortable notifying the front desk to report the leak because the night time attendant was asking her was she alone. She said he was acting strange which made her feel unsafe, so she put a chair against her door for protection.
We never made it to the hotel because of a flight delay.
My daughter said the hotel was noisey late at night.
When we arrived the next morning, I spoke to manager or daytime front desk attendant and he was rude and asked why we did not report the leak the night before. He said there was nothing they could do for us.
Expedia said they could not reimburse the hotel because they could not get a response from the hotel.
I will never book with Expedia again.

The only positive aspect for this hotel is that it's about a 10 minute walk from the train station and bus stop. We were forced to this hotel after the San Georgio Hotel (next door) did not honor our pre-booked, pre-payed reservation. They canceled our reservation 2 days before we arrived.

We only used this place for 1 night as we were on a cruise the following day. Firstly 1 major plus about this place is the location. It was excellent. Just a short walk from the train station. The beds were good but a slight issue with the bathroom as it was very dated and could do with a few repairs like the toilet and shower door.
The air-conditioning was great and a god send when comong out of the heat outside.
The views from the hotel were also top notch.

To start, the room we were assigned was nothing close to the photos shown on their website or on Expedia. We had no chairs, no lamps, no bedspread, room for only one suitcase, no phone. . pretty pathetic for a \"Deluxe Double Seaview\". 160 sf compared to their advertised 217 sf. They advertise laundry facilities but it is a send out service that takes 2 days and not available on weekends.
The room was never cooler than 82F, best it could do according to their engineer, and no wifi available in the room. Despite multiple complaints, they would not relocate us even though most rooms on the floor were vacant.
I have tried to to get management to respond to emails regarding the taxi they arranged for our transport to the cruise terminal; I find 50 Euros excessive for a 5 minute ride plus the taxi was unmarked, the driver refused to meter the trip, refused to accept anything but cash and refused to provide a receipt . . some operation they are running.
I will be taking this up further with Expedia when we return to the US.
