CONS:
Need to go up to floor 14 then back down to one's room, get's annoying, especially if one is on a low floor.

The room I stayed in was beautiful and well kept. They offered a lot of essentials such as hair ties, toothbrush and paste, body wash clothes, so much more. I love that the toilet has a separate room from the wash room and sink. The bed was very comfortable. I will stay here again. The lobby is on the 14th floor with a great view of the city.

When we entered the hotel the lobby was a lot smaller than the pictures shown but it was very clean and staff were quick to help. It was a little confusing at first how the hotel had two separate sets of elevators just to enter the lobby and another for rooms but it worked out ok. Upon entering the room it didn’t live up to expectations from the pictures shown. The room itself wasn’t too different from the picture but it definitely wasn’t as clean as I thought it would be. The view from the window was also very disappointing as we just had a view of the building next door which was also close by so I felt like I couldn’t keep the blinds open without having someone see into the room. The room was decently spaced but the hallway felt a bit cramped. Overall, it was a decent hotel but I feel like for the price it could’ve been better especially since there’s so many other hotels in the area with similar value.

I LOVED THIS PLACE, hands down. It was my first time in Tokyo, Japan, and as a solo traveler, this is exactly where you need to stay. It’s close to so many train stations, making it super easy to get in and out of the city. The area itself is also really nice and quiet, which was perfect after spending the day in crowded parts of the city. Coming back here was such a nice way to wind down. I’ll definitely be staying here again next time I’m back… which will be soon!!! Thank you to all the staff for being so kind and welcoming throughout my stay!

Hotel Yae no Midori exceeded every expectation. From check-in to check-out, everything was seamless — the staff were professional, warm, and genuinely attentive, making you feel welcome from the moment you walk through the door.
The rooms are spotlessly clean and the overall environment feels incredibly safe and well-maintained, which matters a lot when you’re traveling in an unfamiliar city. Everything felt fresh, orderly, and thoughtfully arranged.
The location is honestly unbeatable. You’re steps away from Tokyo Station, with easy access to multiple train lines that put the rest of the city — and beyond — right at your fingertips. Getting around couldn’t be easier, whether you’re headed to Shibuya, Asakusa, or hopping on the Shinkansen.
What really sets this hotel apart are the little conveniences that make a big difference: a Lawson convenience store right across the street for snacks, drinks, or anything you forgot to pack, and a fantastic ramen shop next door for when you want a hot, satisfying meal without going far. After a long day of exploring, that kind of easy access to food is a big plus!
Whether you’re visiting Tokyo for the first time or returning for another adventure, Hotel Yae no Midori is a place I’d recommend without hesitation for their prime location, and the kind of hospitality that makes you want to come back.
Would absolutely stay there again.

Good breakfast options, but if you come between 8-9 am then you will have to wait an hour to be seated, as this place gets filled up fast and it has a very limited staff.

My favourite part about this place was their shower: easy controls and great water pressure.

My least favourite part was the toilet room, because every day it smelled like urine in there. I've mentioned this problem to the reception staff, and I requested that the floors around the toilet get washed, but unfortunately the offensive urine smell continued during my entire stay at this hotel (6 nights). This is quite an expensive hotel with very few amenities, so at least it should be clean, but it wasn't.

We had a generally pleasant stay at this hotel. One of the standout positives was the cleanliness: the rooms and common areas were very well-maintained, which made the stay comfortable and reassuring.
However, there were a couple of drawbacks. The hotel only has two washing machines available for all guests, which made it quite inconvenient, especially during busy times when they were often in use. Additionally, the breakfast selection was fairly limited. While the food quality was decent, there weren’t many options to choose from, which could get repetitive for longer stays.
Overall, it’s a clean and comfortable place to stay.

In a lovely quiet part of Tokyo if you want to be away from the noise. A short walk to Tokyo station means it’s ideally located. Room was lovely and more spacious than we expected. Great amenities and really comfortable beds.

On the downside, there is nowhere to hang towels after using them and the aircon was not great. Our room was sun facing during the day so the room was very stuffy and the aircon was either not working or not up to the job. Would be a problem in the summer heat. But overall we were happy with our stay.

The hotel’s location is very good, within walking distance of Ginza and Tokyo Station. The Japanese-style breakfast is excellent. However, we were not satisfied with the room cleanliness. There was dust and hair in the corners of the floor, mold spots on the bathroom wall, and dust on the air-conditioner vent. In addition, the room's wifi is not stable.

Hotel Yae no Midori Tokyo offers a generally pleasant stay, though the distance to the station is quite far, particularly when traveling with luggage. For that reason, I likely wouldn’t choose this hotel again when visiting Tokyo.

Cons:
Breakfast was just okay, and the elevator moved very slowly. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the station and Ginza Mall. While there are plenty of convenience stores around, there aren’t any true grocery markets.

Pros:
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, similar to U.S. style hotels. The beds are cozy, the shower pressure is excellent, and the hotel provides nice touches like amenities, robes, and slippers. The humidifier in the room helps with the dry winter air. There are also lots of dining options nearby.

Relaxing charming vibe of a hotel. Excellent location. Room is clean, compact yet functional, well thought out. However the only downside is that to get to guest rooms, you have to take a set of lifts up to 14th floor (main reception), then a different set down to guest rooms which adds a little inconvenience at the end of long day. Do hope this arrangement might be temporary though. Otherwise really enjoyed our stay.

Overall an average stay. When we first arrived to our room (12th floor) there was a strong body odour smell. We went to reception and they came down and offered us a new room. This was better until a few hours later the smell was very prominent in our new room.

We asked staff again and they offered us several rooms along the floor but they were all the same with a strong odour. We figured that the issue must be the a/c however even when it was turned off because there was still some airflow we couldn’t avoid the smell.

We eventually just learnt to live with it for our stay but every time we returned to the room it was strong.

The room was good, reasonable size and we had a nice view of the skyline. Staff were friendly and as helpful as they could be.

The area is quite business heavy, it was a 15 min walk from Tokyo station and easy to get back to Narita airport at the end of our stay.

Only other slight annoyance is the lifts. When you return to the hotel you need to use one set to go to reception then another to go to your room. Was quite slow at time.

Really great stay, the staff were very nice all the time. The rooms and beautiful and minimal. Love the big tub and door that separates the washroom area from the sleeping area.

Only thing is that the breakfast is not really a buffet. Only cereal, rice, miso soup, and drinks are self serve. The food can get repetitive as theres only 2-3 set menu options and the service is slow, sometimes taking half an hour to get my food. Definitely not great if you're in a rush but it is very tasty.

The Hotel is a short walk to the train stations. Great Ramen restaurant right next door. Lawson’s and 7/11 are a short distance away. Great for late night snacks.

There were three of us and the room is small, but cozy. Beds were comfortable. The toiletries are abundant. Toothbrush, face kit, shaving cream packets and razor.

Quiet neighborhood. I would stay here again!!

This was a convenient area to stay in Tokyo, in walking distance from Tokyo station. The check-in is up on the 14th floor, which was a little odd as you need to go up to the 14th floor every time you return to the hotel, and then go back down another elevator to get to your room. This is a safety and security precaution, and wasn't too inconvenient. The rooms were comfortable with nice bathrooms. We opted for breakfast included and were incredibly satisfied with the quality of the food and choice of Japanese vs Western options. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers.
