We love this hotel for the friendly staff and service. They have gym, offer WIFI and breakfast every morning with local food and variety of cereals, cookies, fruit, yogurt, etc. The area is very accesible and it has free parking, but is located in a very busy and noisy blvd. Suyapa.
It worth the price.

This hotel is located very close to malls, hospitals and restaurants which is great but it had limited parking which was a huge problem. I had to spin around the block 3 times to try to find where to leave the car today and I never did so I ended up checking out early . Poor bathroom conditions. Toilet would need to always be flushed twice (even with pee) water leaked from the shower ,bed was very hard , and the room did not have great lighting . Shower area was very dark.

The 6 floor restaurant was a enjoyable view.
Elevator not working properly.checking was a hustle i was schedule for 2 nights in a suite room that was not worth the price.(small room for a suite) I check out early and book somewhere else. Not a good place for a getaway.

This is definitely a no frills hotel. It really needs to be updated. It sits on a busy street and you can hear the cars (horns, loud exhaust, etc) all night long.

The staff was very helpful and attentive. The facilities are in good condition but have not been updated recently. It appeared to be nearly identical to the last time I stayed over ten years ago. In my experience the other hotels in country at this price point are more updated and generally nicer. The breakfast (included) dining area here and the staff that operate it are nicer than most. It is a fine hotel for business travelers - which is what it advertises itself as.

The staff was very friendly. The breakfast, fresh fruit and food was very good. The rooms are clean and have a desk area for working. The hotel is in a good location, convenient to the mall, the University, restaurants and grocery stores. The gym equipment is a bit outdated. A good place to stay and a good value. I would not hesitate to book again.

Stayed here for a few hours after a bus from Comayagua due to the proximity to the Tica Bus Terminal the following morning. Ideal place to refresh for the next leg of the journey. The room was comfortable, piping hot shower and wifi. Staff were excellent. Recommended.

Disappointing

The Minister Hotel was a disappointed in comparison with my other stays in Tegucigalpa.

Strengths: Staff was friendly and overall the room was appeared to be clean. The free Breakfast was OK.

Weaknesses; While the hotel attempted to be environmentally friendly with permanent soap dispensers and solar heated shower water, it was difficult to control water temp. (Lighting and Air conditioning required the key be left in a control).

Parking, even for drop off and pickup by my driver was generally a challenge. The room was secured only by a residential style lock that could be easily left unlocked. The secondary security hasp lock was broken. The advertised room safe was missing batteries and was locked open. (An inquiry resulted in a report that the room safes were unreliable so while in place, should not be used.). The coffeemaker did not have coffee provided although I was there several days.

The price for the room appeared to be reasonable and The hotel overall had good potential, but the lack of simple maintenance left me unwilling to return.

There are many better choices.

The room was basic but comfortable but the noise from the road spoilt that overnight stay for me, and after 24 hours of travelling, I was too tired to go and complain. Staff were very helpful. I have another overnight stay in two weeks so will have a better opinion then.

The service is polite, cheerful and efficient and the property is clean, comfortable and easily accesible. The staff will go out of their way to accommodate and help you. Amenities are excellent as well, but not pool. The restaurant is small but excellent with a good selection of well prepared dishes and an extraordinary breakfast, which is included. The bar in the top floor is nice and comfy and has an extraordinary 360º view of the whole city, a nice place for a relaxing evening with friends or for a nightcap before turning in. It also has a gym but I didn't have the time to visit if. Definitely will stay there again, probably sooner than later since I am planning another visit before the end of the year.

Very nice and confortable hotel. the staff is very helpful.
The restaurant is very convenient and has very good food. Sometimes the music was too loud.
I had to change room because the safe deposit was not working and got a noisy room at the front of the hotel, and the staff was very nice and accommodating and changed for a third time my room. Thank you.
I had an issue with the taxi, which does not work for the hotel and hope it gets resolved.

The decor is fine. but the rooms are very small and enclosed. One night is OK, but a long term stay would seem very claustrophobic.The room we chose was advertised as including a furnished terrace, but the "terrace" was the size of a small closet ( a little over a square meter) and was not furnished. The terrace door was the only natural light in the room. Breakfast was quite good and served cheerfully.

Clean hotel, nice staff

I booked two "suites" for a business trip in Tegucigalpa and we were given rooms 602 and 604 on the last floor of the hotel.

Hotel is clean, staff was very helpful. In room 603 there was a constant, quite audible and annoying low vibration. The cleaning lady told me it was because the room was right next to the kitchen. I asked to move once a room was available I was move 4 rooms down the same floor, which was much quieter.

Rooms otherwise were relatively comfy for the price: hot water was hot with reasonable pressure (but keep cycling suddenly on its own from hot / cold every couple of minutes). New clean towels everyday as well as new large size (750 ml) water bottles. The safes in the rooms are tiny (won't fit a 13" computer!) but it didn't matter because none of them worked in all three rooms we got to use during that stay.

Wifi worked reasonably well, didn't try the TV.

Breakfast is the usual latin america fare: fresh fruits (cantaloupe, pineapple, watermelon and the occasional banana), yogurts, wonderbread and someone making to order eggs, omelettes, pancakes and waffles.

There is a rooftop bar that affords a pretty good view (altho the view isn't pretty!), with live music o the week-end.

The area around the hotel is pretty bare, but there is a mall (with a lone TGI Friday) 1 mile down the street and an ok pupusa place across from the mall.

OK experience, but will probably try another hotel on my next trip to Tegucigalpa.

I love it was excellent cant wait to come back, also the hotel is located in one of the best area of Tegucigalpa beautiful hotel between of a residential private area, the size of the rooms r great alot space outdoor patio, nice bathroom with kitchen office desk. Seating area for guests nice wood floors nice colors ' built in safe box. A lots of lighting everywhere se of the rooms they have terrasa with table for a beautiful afternoon. The hotel has offers transportation service a gim,many rooms to present conference outdoor lkithchen offering a good seating area for breakfast and lunch.

My Experience at Minister Business Hotel

*Hotel must update menu, especially if a Business person is just looking forward to stay indoors after a hard working day!.
*Breakfast menu should be much more attractive as well as more in quantity.
*During stay, I also notice that cloth napkins are simply fold back after each guest instead of being disposal and/or new ones are put in replace. It sure gives a poor image on quality!.
*Bathrooms should have some hands cream available, not upon request.
*TV should have private and/or Movie channels available not just local TV or basic cable. Service is very basic and not attractive, always the same channels.
*Every one is very kind and go above and beyond to serve you, but food quality indoors must be update. I even came across with a lady who seems to be the manager, and I thought could be a great opportunity to mention all this, but did not want anyone in particular to get in trouble.
*If menus are not to be update, then get on a partnership with good local nearby restaurants so we can order and/or get quality food delivered.
*Lobby area should have a fully Air Conditioning operating at all times, especially if you have business guests and/or partners visiting or waiting.
*Lights went out three times in one night while I was working which cause a lost of documents in process. Perhaps it could be avoid internally.
*Congratulations on your Internet service as well as the excellent quality of Beds!!!
*Understand power/electricity is expensive, but if key is left on, leave it on.

forgetful nightmare!!

the hotel needs to be fumigated, it has roaches, ants and found a tick on my sheets.
the staff was wonderful and friendly and very attentive ,the food was freshly made and very tasty. although the bar was closed upstairs due to holiday the staff was nice enough to serve us drinks and appetizers.
