The customer service and the receptionists where extremely patient with us and assisted us with what to explore in Istanbul and they had also let us use their personal phone to allow us to order food to the hotel the receptionists where Imam, Tariq and Amro. Would definitely recommend this hotel to tourists.

The only problem was the sound proofing. I could hear the room across the corridor playing music and we both had our doors closed. Its a nice little hotel. Good breakfast. My room was very small. No chair in the room to sit. You could only watch tv in bed and 1/4 of the tv was hidden behind to wardrobe. There was no view from the window. All you could see was rubbish on the ground outside. What a shame. Lots of cheap shops snd eats around the hotel. Nearest metro Yenikapi. About a 10 min walk.

Clean room and bathroom. 5 minute walk from Metro station and close to Taksim Square. You have to get a code to enter hotel- make sure to write it down or put it into cellphone notes. Code received day before trip started. Not a very touristy street and it was quiet.

I recently stayed at Mahya Hotel in Istanbul for 8 days and had an exceptional experience. The staff Ali, Tariq & Okan were incredibly welcoming and attentive, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. Ali was very understanding and offered me and my husband an upgrade to a family room as our A/C was not working. The breakfast buffet was delicious and offered a variety and the hotel's amenities such as reliable Wi-Fi, were excellent. I highly recommend Mahya Hotel for anyone visiting Istanbul! It was a walking distance to the main attractions and bazaars and you get a great feel of the local culture and day to day living life style. Highly recommend staying at Mahya Hotel!

The hotel is away from the centre and its associated attractions but in many ways this was a strength. The area was busy and noisy but I never felt unsafe even late at night. The staff were excellent and went out of their way to ensure I enjoyed my first visit to Istanbul. The hotel was also excellent value. Great complimentary breakfast and tea/coffee making facilities in the room. I would stay again and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to other travellers.

Very kind and helpful employees and receptionists! The breakfast is great and has a wide variety. They sometimes switch up breakfast items as well. The rooms were upgraded and modern, with really cool lock and cleaning request technology. Unfortunately there was a power outage on our street on our last day but thankfully there was still some emergency lights and water running. There are also ants that are common around the room on the floor even though we swapped to another room. They were very nice about our issue and switched us with no hesitation once there was an empty room. It wasn’t a huge issue and we managed to sleep comfortably.

Excellent, central location close to old town and places to visit. Staff very helpful and flexible when changing street facing room to quieter, side room. Help given in planning boat tour, including drop off, and on departure, booking Havist bus to airport. Would use hotel again as an excellent location with friendly, helpful staff.

The hotel stay was very pleasant. The staff were lovely especially Ali and the lady who provided breakfast (our away from home Mama). We had 2 rooms with no issues. Staff couldn't do enough to accommodate any requests we had. All in all a lovely stay and would recommend.

Great Service

Great service by the managers and staff of the hotel. They were particularly helpful when I had payment challenges, and I really appreciated that. Breakfast was on time and consistent. Clean hotel, with all facilities functional. They also effectively organized my arrival and departure trips to and from the airport.

Will surely look forward to staying there again.

The reviews on this property is what attracted me to stay here. The staff went far and above in aiding our stay. There was a mix up that was immediately corrected. English as a second language can interfere in getting the correct information. The manager was quick to straighten out our misunderstanding. The highlights for me were the cleanliness, 24 hour desk help, great breakfast and attentive staff. I would highly recommend this property to my friends.

SERVICE & ROOM: staff was very helping, they remained at beck and call during my stay.
Rooms were bit smaller but very clean even then sufficient for two persons). Hot water and heating were working well.

BREAKFAST: Fresh breakfast was available between 7am-10am. Menu includes Bread, Pancakes, Sausages, Boiled eggs, omelette, variety of cheese, butter, salads, olives, jam, honey, chocolate spread, Cereals, Coffee & Tea.

AREA/LOCALITY: If someone is planning to explore Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Taksim it is a very good option at a good price. Tram, Metro and Airport Bus (Havaist Askaray Station) are at 15 minutes walk , So there is no need to book expensive cabs/taxis.

Excellent hotel close to popular landmarks

A wonderful place to stay close to many points of interest in Istanbul. You are about 15 minutes from the Blue Mosque and 12 minutes from Gran Bazaar by walking.

Wonderful breakfast, friendly and welcoming staff, plenty of stores and restaurants near the hotel.

If you are looking for a nice, quiet place to rest and be close some of the most popular things to do in Istanbul, you should book your stay at Mahya Hotel.

Overall its a good hotel stay in. Near mist of the attractions. Only problem i had was our bedding wasnt changed at all during the stay for the whole week. Another thing was the breakfast it was the same food everyday, would have been nicer if it was changed everydag or a varied breakfast including fruits and fruit juices.

So impressed with this tiny but mighty hotel! Highly recommend it for anyone staying in Istanbul for the first time. It’s a budget friendly 3-star option with clean rooms and bathrooms. For a bargain price you’ll have your hot shower, AC, clean bedding and towels. We loved their breakfast too - they have fresh veggies, olives, cheeses, bread, coffee, some coffee cake and other things, you won’t go hungry. The hotel staff goes above and beyond to take care of you. I left a comment about a personal situation in my expedia booking and they gave me a call right away to arrange the room for us the way we needed it. Prime location for sightseeing- a few minutes away from the tramway station, walking distance to the most prominent cultural objects in the Old City and right next to the transit to go elsewhere. The street it is located on might look just a little sketchy in the evening but it is a safe place to stay, we felt very comfortable here. So happy I chose to book a room here, it’s exactly what we needed.

Der check in war völlig ok, Zimmer sind zwar ganz neu eingerichtet, leider sind die Wände soooo...dünn ,dass wir Gespräche der Nachbarn sehr gut hören konnten. Zudem war die Sauberkeit nicht so wirklich gut, da ist noch viel Luft nach oben..zum beispiel die Fensterbank ziemlich staubig ,in der Nachtisch Schublade leider noch \" Reste \" von dem vorherigen Gast...in der Dusche leider schwarze Haare, ich habe graue und mein enkelsohn blonde Haare.das Frühstück war ok,aber leider nicht wirklich große Auswahl und so gut wie jeden Tag dasselbe...aber die Küchenfee war super freundlich und zuvorkommend...auch der Manager,ein sehr netter junger Mann...alles in allem Fotos sind leider nie wirklich aussagekräftig und ich muss auch nicht nochmal nach Istanbul, wollte einfach nochmal dorthin, da ich meine Kindheit dort so gut wie in den Ferien verbracht habe...also, für einen städtetrip,ohne Ansprüche völlig ok aber mehr definitiv nicht...
