We had a nice week at this hotel a lovely relaxing pool nice spa and massage too!
Breakfast is fine but the restaurant evening meal options are poor also the service was extremely slow we waited 45mins for dinner to come after ordering so did others!! Very small portions and little vegan or veggie options for my wife!
The restaurant on the beach is good for lunch!

Excellent resort place in Italy.
It’s small hotel, old building, very well maintained.
Located in small town has everything you need for relax and quiet environment around.
A lot of potential activities around: great swimming pool outside, private beach at the sea with restaurants and bar.
Great spa with caves style seawater pools with different temperatures, jets massage options and special massages and skin treatments.
Excellent service all around.
Huge park area nearby for morning walks or biking.
Great breakfast, good restaurants around.
Very friendly staff, English speaking.
I would be happy to recommend this place to all my friends and family.

The beach area is nice with plenty of loungers and gazebos. They have a bar and restaurant there which serves good seafood. The hotel rooms are a little tired, I would say 4 star not 5 as they have paper cups in the rooms not glasses or cups. The bed was comfortable and the fridge was stocked with juices and water. The bathroom needed a bit of an update missing grout between tiles etc. The staff were very helpful albeit reception not quite so much. There was lots we had to find out for ourselves. They could do with leaving some information about where everything is and rules etc in the rooms as I had to go on the website and ask the staff where possible. Didn’t have a clue how to get to the pools, there are some signs but not so clear. I would recommend the hotel though but don’t expect 5 star conditions everywhere. Plenty of bars and restaurants close by. We stayed 3 days, wouldn’t want to stay much longer.

Beautiful beachfront hotel great for families! Two playgrounds on the beach and the rooms are a decent size. Only stayed for one night so weren’t able to enjoy all the amenities but would love to go back if we find ourselves in the area again!

Charming and comfortable hotel

A traditional hotel with excellent service throughout. It's not cheap but you do get a lot of extras in the room price such as juices and water replaced every day, free use of the spa pools etc (not treatments), a private beach with towels, loungers, chairs etc. We had a classic room which was on the small side but it still had everything that we needed including good WiFi, slippers and soft fluffy bathrobes, safe etc. The bathroom was also well appointed with a bath and a separate shower, lots of shelves, good lighting, toiletries etc. A really good breakfast was included in the room price which had an extensive choice to suit all tastes. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance also. Drinks and snacks at the hotel are on the pricey side but they served a large plate of hors d'oeuvres with a drink at the bar! All in all, a very pleasant stay.

First Class

Visiting local Super Tuscan wineries made this the perfect hotel for our family. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating. We fell in love with the Great wines and with this oasis on the coast. We enjoyed the lovely community just out the door. This is a first class property with a first class staff in a first class spa.

Decent hotel for a couple of nights

A little overpriced but overall a decent hotel. For us it was perfect for a night but not enough to do for a longer period - unless you really enjoy spending your holiday lying on sun-beds (which we don't). Outdoor swimming pool was lovely but could do with some music to create some atmosphere. Hotel was very clean in a beautiful pine tree setting. Breakfast was good. Only real complaint was that we both found the mattress very comfortable and woke up with stiff necks/backs!

A very relaxing few days spent here - awesome spa

Awesome spa facilities - unique. It was near the end of their season so it was very quiet and therefore lacked a bit of atmosphere for us. However, it lived up to expectations. We chose the hotel for a few days relaxation before sight seeing in Florence.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel.

Nice clean hotel with an excellent spa and access to a nice private beach. The room was extremely small with no sitting area. The thermostat in the room was non-functional and control of the temperature had to me made by request to the front desk staff. Despite many attempts to get them to make it cooler room (which was uncomfortably warm for sleeping), the room temperature never changed. A nice place to stay at the beach but definitely not 5 star.

Bad: reception staff unable to advise on local day trips, did not know much about local towns, you have to research yourself.

Nice hotel for the area

This is a nice hotel right across a small road from the beach with private seating for guests at no extra cost. Nothing about the hotel itself blew me away, but it was clean and we felt safe at all times. We went in the fall so there weren't many guests which was nice. They upgraded us to a sea view room and delivered us a bottle of sparkling wine the first night. It was our honeymoon so it was a nice touch. The staff was generally polite and helpful. The only issues we had were the tiny shower in our bath room and the lack of knowledge on the buses to the train station. The shower was in a corner of the bathroom behind the door. Good water pressure and heat, but very cramped. When we left the hotel we asked where we could get on the local bus. The front desk didn't know, but the hotel porter knew where to get the bus and instructed us where to go. We bought tickets and waited for over an hour. No bus. We finally walked back to the hotel and were told that maybe it was Sunday so there would be no buses. Yes.. it was Sunday. Wasted money and time. The front desk should know what day it is. Other than that it was a pleasant experience.

A real find. Very relaxing service was very good. Beach clearly blue flag. Minor thing was that lunch lacked the ambition of dinner. Bathroom really should have just a great shower safer too as getting in out of bath/shower risky on to tiled floor. Spa very good views stunning

Loved the hotel Its a beautiful hotel with a private beach. The hotel staff was first rate. The restaurant did not fit the hotel. Good was ordinary. The waiters did not know anything about wine even though hotel owned by Antinori. Probably the biggest wine family in Italy.

Hotel hat eine sehr gute Lage. Zimmer schön gross und sauber. Personal sehr freundlich. Wir waren mit einem kleinen Hund dort. Wir bekamen ein Hundebett, Handtuch und Näpfe aufs Zimmer. Leider durfte der Hund nicht mit ins Restaurant, so mussten wir das Abendessen seperat an der Bar einnehmen. Zum Frühstück mustten wir nacheinander ins Restaurant gehen. Für den Hund mussten wir 35 Fr pro Tag zahlen.

Sehr freundliches und zahlreiches Personal, Handtücher werden 3x täglich gewechselt, Bettwäsche alle 2 Tage! Frühstücksbuffet mit Bedienung, zeitweise Engpässe (z.B. Teekannen, Gläser, ungesalzene Butter) im Zeitraum 9:30 - 10:15. Auf Nachfrage wird alles nachgefüllt.
Zugang zum Strand durch Überqueren einer Straße, Strandanlage großzügig und sauber.
Meeresqualität in den 10 Tagen, die wir vor Ort waren, wechselhaft, z.T. trüb mit Quallen.
Ein Problem sind die elektronischen Schlösser der Zimmer: Alle 2 Tage sperrte die Schlüsselkarte nicht mehr und musste erneut programmiert werden. Nach dem 3. Mal bekamen wir einen herkömmlichen Schlüssel.
Unangenehm war auch der Lärm eines (Druckluft?)Kompressors, der sich auch nächtens einschaltete und mit pfft wieder verstummte. Im Erdgeschoß, in dem unser Zimmer lag, war dieses Geräusch trotz sehr gut dämmender Fenster zu hören, wenn die Klimaanlage des Zimmers ausgeschaltet war.
Zwei Mal wurde unser Tesla bzw. die hoteleigene Ladestation von hochkarätigen Verbrennern (Maserati, Porsche) verparkt, was zur Suche nach den Fahrern/Autoschlüsseln führte - das sollte nicht vorkommen, wenn man 2 Ladestationen vor dem Eingang hat. Das Personal war immer sehr bemüht, das Problem rasch zu lösen.

Das Zimmer war gross aber ungemütlich eingerichtet. Das Badezimmer sehr klein. Die Möbel habe benutungs Schäden. Save funktionierte nicht.

Beim Silvestermenu von E 160.00 pro Person war nur der Apero gut. Die Teller bei den 4 Gängen waren lieblos angerichtet und das Essen kalt. Wir haben uns bei der Serviceleitung beschwert.
Keine Entschuldigung oder Gutschrift erhalten.

Wir werden uns für unsere nächste Reise ein anderes Hotel suchen.

Das Hotel ist super gelegen und auch der Service ist Top. Wellness am Meer mit vielen Annehmlichkeiten findet man nicht oft.
Das Essen im eigenen Restaurant ist nicht überwältigend. Auch das Sylvester-Menü war überteuert und nicht alles genießbar. Das Apéro-Buffet war Spitzenklasse, aber der Dreigänger nicht auf dem Level des Hotels. Personal sehr zuvorkommend und nett.

Wunderbares Resort mit kleinen Einbussen

Ein altes herrschaftliches Hotel, das merkt man bei der Architektur und den Zimmergrundrissen. Das Bad ist für ein 5-Sterne-Hotel viel zu klein. Schade auch, dass das Zimmer so dunkel war und der Boden so kalt... Im Ganzen aber ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt in einem sehr schönen Haus, toller Service, schöner Spa-Bereich. Die Preise für Food und Getränke in House und an der Hotel-Strandbar sind sehr hoch für Italien.

il tombolo è un resort perfetto per rilassarsi in armonia con la natura con il mare e con un servizio eccellente e impeccabile che ho apprezzato specialmente al momento della colazione dove hanno trovato tante offerte anche per me che sono allergica al lattosio.
lo consiglio anche per la vicinanza ad altri posti da visitare come suvereto, castagneto carducci, san vincenzo.
