Staff was very friendly and helpful. We booked two tours through them and it was very nice!! The rooms are very cozy and very clean!!! The staff does an amazing job in cleaning the rooms. They have a restaurant as well you get 15% discount for being a guest at the hotel. I think it’s in a great area. Walking distance to majority of the things and i love that it had parking included!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Colibri Beach. The location is right in the center of Playa Del Carmen. Located one block off Calle 5 (the main pedestrian shopping street). There are a few nice swimming beaches within blocks of the hotel. The free breakfast on the beach every day was fabulous, and a really nice start to our day. We also liked the hotel bar, and their daily drink specials, which are very reasonably priced. I had one of my favorite drinks of the trip here (Their Caipirinha) On the weekend they had live music in the afternoon and it was a really nice spot to hang out. L The only negative is that there are 3 very large clubs down the block which play very loud music. On the weekends it went late, until about 3am. Our room was located in the middle of the property, and we tend to stay out later, so this didn't affect

Absolutely beautiful property. Conveniently located to Fifth ave and right on the beach. Our reservation included daily breakfast which was delicious and service was exceptional throughout the hotel. Only downsides are the bathrooms could use a renovation and the nearby nightclubs can be quite loud at night but neither were huge deals.

Beautiful boutique property.

It’s a very cute boutique ish hotel in the heart of the playa del Carmen tourist area. Very green. Value for money completely. Thought the rooms are small and with no views, they are comfortable and have all amenities as one would need.
The cherry on the cake is the front desk lady Alma. She can do anything and everything and is your go to person.
One tip: they are tied to the lido beach club where food is excellent. But little on the pricey side and service is kinda mediocre.

Very nice small hotel, right on the beach. Room was clean and comfortable, staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included, made to order and delicious. Also, the restaurant is right on the beach, so great view while enjoying the food. Walking distance from the ADO bus stop, convenient to get to and from Cancun Airport. The hotel is an amazing hidden gem. It’s comfort and a very convenient,fun area. I wonder if I would miss a pool and I did only because the seaweed made it impossible to swim in the ocean or lay beachside. But this was at no fault of the hotel. I felt very safe at the hotel and the area. The restaurant and the free breakfast were out of this world. The bar staff could be a bit more attentive. The hotel and room were very clean. I especially the the balcony with the chairs in the hammock. Having a street view was amazing for people watching.

We stayed four nights at this hotel. The room was very clean and the beds very comfy. The only little issue was the shower's water were not always hot, but it was not a big deal. breakfast was our favorite time of the day because it is served at the beach and it is simply delicious. The receptionists were amazing, specially Claudio who was very helpful and friendly. All the people there are really nice and attentive. I highly recommend this hotel.

Bad - Not hotel's fault but very close to three noisy clubs that play reggeaton until 2 AM. Three different music sources bounce off the wall. The beach is almost gone. Staff said is due to full moon, but seems that they need to rearrange the lido beach club to get more beach back. Very close to area near old pier (the one not in use) where sargassum seems to accumulate - much more than southern part of beach and north of the old pier.

The property oversold the hotel so they moved us to a hotel 3 blocks away. We specifically chose this hotel because it was beachfront and out whole family was staying there, so any time we needed to be with them we had to answer questions to the staff as to why we were there to be allowed in, aside the the inconvenience of having to transport our kids back and forth so they could be with the rest of the family.

The real hotel is different from the pictures. There is no beach as shown on the site. My room was right next to the restaurant on the ground floor. It was very noisy.
It is close to 5th Avenue.
Count you money before paying for the meal. One of the waitresses likes to help herself with tips.

No working AC in room 25 and the balcony faces a wall. Get a different room than 25. Beds were literally a padded box. No seriously, a box. Nice bar and restaurant right on the beach. Breakfast was nice and the desk clerks were very friendly. 1 block from 3 all night thumping night clubs. 1 block from 5th Avenue. Would we stay again,? Yes.

Fourth time staying here, and will return again. Understand, this is Not a resort. This is a single unit, privately owed hotel (read NO FRILLS, people). That being said, it is a clean and beautifully kept property. The staff is exceptionally friendly and outgoing. Perfectly situated a super convenient for shopping, bars and dinning, sight-seeing expeditions, and just a 5 minute walk to the ferry for Cozumel. We always enjoy ourselves here

The property is fews steps way from the beach, it has a nice restaurant called Lido Beach Club ( make sure you try Lido drink). Also, the propriety is very close to 5 th Avenue and few block from the ADO buses stations ( you pay about $10.00 each way person... very comfortable, safe and clean). Nice to be the beach

Pros:
- On the beach, with a beach club where you can reserve chairs and spend the whole day laying around and enjoying the view, enjoying great food and drinks (molcajete!)
- The service from both hotel staff and beach club staff is excellent!!!! (This was a major “pro”)
- Reasonably priced rooms that are clean with a small balcony
- On-site parking
- Free breakfast at the beach club: eggs, pancakes, or chilequiles...plus coffee/tea...plus juice or fruit (the green juice is delicious!!!)
- walking distance to many restaurants, shops, etc. on 5th ave
- lush landscaping

Cons (sort of...for me):
- near the dance clubs with loud music, which can be heard from the hotel rooms (closing the balcony door actually helped a lot though...plus I know the proximity to clubs is a “pro” for some people)
- they played American music 100% of the time. Even the live cover bands at the hotel (Wed thru Sunday, I think) played American music 98% of the time. Again, this may be great for some people, but I would have loved to hear a salsa band, Spanish pop band, Latin jazz band, or even a band that did a combo of the above. I did appreciate the effort to have live music, though!!

Great stay. Perfect location. Lido beach club a bonus! Make sure and see Alex on the beach ahead of time if you want to reserve chairs on the beach for the next day. (Took us forever to understand that they were independent from the hotel) music from the clubs on la Quinta can be heard, especially on the weekends, but didn’t bug us too much and nothing some ear plugs couldn’t fix. (Next time)
The only thing we missed was some Latina music on the beach. But we got a chance to play some on our deck after hours.
Great food from the lido (breakfast included with hotel stay)
Shout out to Ulysses, Laura and Elkin for our lido beach club experience!!
Booking excursions and hotel/ airport transfers a breeze. (Quick response from hotel) shout out to Pepe and Julio for transportation!)

Hotel Colibri was everything i expected, simple and clean, a place to kick back between adventures (although not always the quietest). The staff of Colibri and Lido's are very friendly and relaxed. Everything felt authentic, even the friendly smiles and daily greetings.

We stayed through Christmas and new years in a garden facing room that what was probably the only pocket of peace on the beach that close to 5th Ave. Being that close to party town does bring a level of volume... we heard the base thumping until 4 or 5 am everyday. But with the A/C running it became backround noise pretty quickly. The beds are pretty firm but more comfortable than several major US chains i have stayed in recently... a memory foam topper would be a nice upgrade.

The free breakfast options are good but do not include the full Lido's menu. I tried them all... no complaints at all.

I docked my review 1 star for amenties simply because they do not have a pool, but the ocean is on your doorstep and wonderful. If you dont need a pool i think Hotel Colibri is the best value you will find in the area.

Checkin i n was easy. Sandra on the front desk was very efficient and informative. The room was as we expected. Very clean and spacious. We enjoyed our patio, with coffee in the morni g.We felt much at home here. Esperanza recognized us from previous visits and greeted us personally. Lau, Ricardo, Rodrigo. Alejandro, were very attentive when they served our breakfast and other meals. We really enjoyed the catch of the day and the flank steak dinner. The steak could be cut with a fork and the bass was fresh caught. I had inflamation in my arm and Marla..one of the masssures was able to help me with a few massages. She is awesome! IEveryone was wonderful! Sorry if i missed anyone.. Thanks for everything!

I just couldn't sleep .
The 3 nightclubs at the end of the block go til around 3/4 am and try to out do each other fir the loudest sound system .
The thumping music is impossible to ignore and made it hard to sleep , tried ear plugs , pillow over my head , nothing worked .
Kinda ruined my trip
No fun when sleep deprived !!

The room was not fancy but they thought of everything!. The Lido beach club was the spot to be in Playa...we loved the swings at the bar, the breakfast and the deck chairs. The service from the staff was outstanding, Miriam at the front desk was so helpful, Jorge, Rodrigco, Daniela and Lau was excellent. The proximity to everything made our trip so easy! My recommendation is to add a pool based on the seaweed (March) on the beach and a coffee station in the room.

Liked this hotel very much. Room was nothing fancy but the balcony overlooked a beautiful garden and had a comfy hammock. Right on the beach with lots to explore nearby. In the morning the included breakfast on the beach was scenic, relaxed, and very tasty. Plenty of hot water in the shower, and great friendly staff made parking and checkout smooth and efficient! Enjoyed our 1 night stay very much!

The hotel by itself is pretty good—friendly staffers, adequate room amenities, close proximity to the beach and downtown business areas. Our family had stayed in the hotel for 8 days in late December and we were satisfied with what the hotel has offered. However, there is one major issue that has put our stay at this place very stressful—it is located too close to several night clubs! The nearby night clubs (at least 3) played super loud music, night after night, all the way to early morning! There was just no stop! The bass of the music is house rattling powerful, no exaggeration. I think I have suffered irreversible hearing loss during my stay at this place.

Bed is hard, pillows hard, but most of all, the hotel is close to a neighboring bar that plays blaring music all hours of the night and into the morning. The music is so loud that the rooms vibrate and make sleeping impossible. We were in 3 different rooms & it was still too loud. Lido Beach Club is great. The location of the hotel on the beach is fantastic. The only problem we had during our stay was the noise and the inability to sleep at night.

The beach club Lido attached to the hotel was great. The staff there was nice, and the prices were very reasonable. The food there was great! The hotel was decent, for the price that I paid it was great. One thing that I did not enjoy was the old irons they had. I had to ask for an iron at the front desk and it was so old that there was black pieces of I don’t know what as I was ironing. Not only from one iron but two.

Location was amazing - right on the beach and in the center of town. Only downside was the club was as others have said was incredibly loud (and actually seemed to become louder later in the night). While the room was not new, it was very clean and perfectly comfortable for the little amount of time I was spending in it. Everyone I dealt with from reception to the waiters at the beach club were all very friendly and helpful. Considering that it was right on the beach and very affordable, I was incredibly happy with my stay.
