Great location and Amazing river views

We booked the room with river view and loved it. It had the view where the 3 rivers merged and we could see \"The Ningbo Bund\" - where the pubs were located. From 7pm to 10 pm every night, the buildings are lit with coordinated coloured lights. Amazing view.

Hotel room has all the amenities and very comfortable super single beds.

Location was great. We walked along the riverside to Tianyi Square and to The Bund.

Our stay at the Citic Hotel was ok. As both my wife and I were somewhat sick, we were particularly sensitive to room conditions. We felt that the room felt somewhat dusty and needed a thorough cleaning. We didn't have much interaction with hotel staff except during check-in, but the bellboys were very friendly. The location is quite central and most places are easily accessible.

Hotel is right by the river with nice view

Our hotel room has a nice view of the river. I was impressed with view. However, the hotel itself is pretty old and needs update. Furnitures are old and the carpet is quite worn out. Hotel breakfast consisted of good western and Chinese food. Staffs are courteous with prompt service.

Centrally located,the Citic Ningbo is a bit tired but shows fortitude in its grandeur, and can rightfully claim its place among the better hotels in Ningbo.

Great value, a bit dated but nice size room

Location isn't great but 20 minute walk to the bund over the bridges.
No convenience store nearby. Busy roads nearby so easy to get a taxi.
Great service from the staff. Lawrence the concierge deserves a mention- very friendly, helpful young guy who speaks some English. He tried very hard to be attentive and helpful.
The breakfast was fairly decent.

Overall great value for money. The only thing I didn't like is the bed was too hard.

Nice hotel and we had a discount of the price.

We had a nice room with twin beds and a nice view from the window. We like the location in the center of the City for getting to and from the train station. We had no free breakfast.

Wonderful stay

I was a little hesitant to book this hotel only because the pictures made the hotel look dated and so did the reviews. I was also scared that they won't get my reservations on time since I booked it 3 hours before I got there. When I got there, the checkin was a breeze, I was asked if I wanted to upgrade to the newer rooms and higher floors with a small cost. I took it and the room was great. It was a little small from what I'm use to but perfect for one person.

Unimpressive for the expectations based on 4-5 star rating. Local hotel staff do not apply the \"customer\" focused satisfaction that we come to expect in the USA. English speaking of staff was minimal, so when had issues only my wife speaking mandarin could communicate. However, even with mandarin communications, the hotel staff at front desk were not willing or satisfy our needs re: 1. we do not feel that we got the room we expected based on the website. We expected a larger room w/king bed, the room was a basic room with 2 chairs squeezed in and the \"king\" size bed was really 2 twins pulled together with a zipper to make the 2 twin mattress appear as one. The hotel staff insisted in was a king bed and that we got what we reserved, no attempt to remedy the situation, so we had to just accept it. 2. We had to provide an upfront $1,000 in Chinese money for any incidentals that we might incur. Upon checkout, we had not used any incidentals, but they had a $143 charge on our account for laundry with the wrong name associated with our room, yet we had to fight for quite some time to get the full deposit back, so the checkout process took long and we left very frustrated.

The only positive was the room was recently updated with a nice shower.

We will NOT be staying here again!

Great Stay at Citic

I like this hotel located in downtown Ningbo. The staff are professional and responsive to me as a customer. They would call the taxi and provide the address in Chinese. They always have a person who speak excellent English. I strongly recommend Citic hotel.

Nice place to stay in a scenic city.

As I returned to this city I was pleasantly surprised by the change everywhere and how westernized the hotel is. The room can accommodate two persons with plenty of space for work, study, or watching television. Breakfast is at a large dining room on a top floor for you to enjoy looking out the windows. We only stayed three days and would go back again.

We stayed here as it seemed close to city centre and by the pictures, it looked nice, well it indeed was a nice Hotel and a great choice for breakfast. The room was spacious and although there was renovations happening while we were there, that didn't affect us at all.

Ok for Business Trips

The Hotel is on the old side, the room was small and the bathroom was a bit moldy. The bed, which I am finding out is normal, was hard as a rock but it didn't hurt my normally sore lower back. Maybe I learned something about my back and beds? The food in the Japanese restaurant was good and the wait staff worked though our language barrier. The location was good in the sense that there was plenty of shopping and sight seeing to do by foot but the weather in July made it so after 15 minutes of walking around 80% of my shirt was soaked in sweat. I returned to the hotel to have a beer and wait in the air conditioned lobby before my next flight. Bottom line is that hotel was in a good spot, was not too much money but the room was small and sorta old. One other thing was that the AC cranked at it's max strained to keep the room cool enough for me. Asian's would be Ok in this temp but large white American's will think it is a bit warm. I would stay here again.

Gr8 location + Clean room + Comfy bed + Good Food

I stayed here for 6 nights; overall it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay. Hotel staff (except few at reception and restaurant) were mostly non english speaking, so communication was a 'lil of prblm but not a big issue and could be managed. B/Fast was gr8 spread each morning but those who are pure veggies would have food/survival issues if staying longer, so better bring some veg snacks/munchies while coming here. Its centrally located and one would have easy access to taxis, local buses and nearby attractions like wanda plaza, tianyi square.

Great Value!

Great place for an overnight stay if you're in HK for a quick business trip. Service is great, staff go out of their way to assist you, and while it may be a little bit far from the action, it's really nothing that a taxi ride can't easily fix. Besides, they have a great complimentary shuttle that will see you at the IFC mall in less than 5 mins even less for the closest MTR. I've stayed in some of the 5-star hotels in HK but this place is great value-wise.

Great Value and Location

Very nice hotel. The location is convenient and only about 20 minutes to the airport at a charge of about 40rmb. For the most part the rooms were nice, Not that the room was dirty, but the beds were very hard, the carpet in the room was a litle stained and the shower walls could use a deep cleaning.

The morning breakfast is a great deal which I highly recommend if your rom package doesn't include it, for a few dollars more, add it to your reservation.

Bottom line; for the price, location and quality, I woul stay there again.

The hotel is very out dated, once rated 5-stars, but more like 3.5 stars. The bed hard, room need upgrades, breakfast is so-so at RBM 50. Room has a nice view of the river. I would stay at different hotel near by.

Top notch hotel in Ningbo City

the citic hotel is one of the first 5-star hotels to open its doors in Ningbo. The staff was well trained and dressed very neatly. The hotel was of course clean and comfortable. This hotel had the softtest bed out of all the Chinese brand hotels I stayed. The room was comfortable and I slept like a baby. Guests are not given complementary water bottles but are instead offered to use the filteration system. I was a little hesistant to use it. Overall very good for the price I paid and I would book again.

generally a fine hotel except one disappointment on my last day. I put out a 'do not disturb' tag on my door and went out shopping. Upon my return about 1 hr later, I was horrified by a strong tobacco smell in my room! my room was on a non-smoking floor! There is obviously room for improvement in discipline and training of the housekeeping staff. But generally it was a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Older hotel with a great location to central downtown. Very reasonal rates. Decent breakfast buffet, several hotel restaurants were closed during our stay. The beds are hard - beyond firm. Location, price and cleanliness are their strengths.

DIRTY CARPET!!

CARPET in the Rooms are VERY DIRTY. We had 3 rooms for 5 Days and the carpet in the other rooms was just as dirtty as the others. Not the place to take your shoes off and relax in the room.

Hotel personnel were friendly and spoke some english. Don't waste your time on lobby lounge. It was very expensive even a cup of coffee cost $6 US plus. 15% tip charge added on as well. Only had the breakfast buffet, which had a good selection. Overall was a good hotel.

仕事で利用しました。部屋は広く清潔で使いやすく手入れが行き届いていました。
従業員の対応は一般的な無表情な対応で可もなく不可もなくでしたが日本人には不愛想に感じる方もいるかもしれません。
気になるところは、ホテルチェックイン時のデポジットが1000元ととても高いく予約した段階ではわかりませんでしたので、戸惑いました。　朝食が中国人向けなのか美味しくなかった。

Nice hotel in a perfect location

Really nice hotel. Installations a bit old but really nice. Breakfast with many choices, maybe too chinese, but it's ok, I'll give a mark of 7 out of 10 to the breakfast. Location is really good and nice views to the river. Personnel is professional and managed our check in very quickly. I'll definitely come back to Citic Ningbo.

４星以上の安ホテルとゆう事で今回予約入れました。
場所は、最高の市内。しかし、エアコンの効き具合は、悪い。ジムの機械は、out of order。
朝食は、品数おおいが美味しくない。wifiは、入っているしるしあるが入力は、できない。
市内の３星の方がましと思います。

Choc culturel à son meilleur!
Les affichages visuels éliminés autour de l'hôtel sur les autres buildings sont vraiment superbes!
Hotel bien situé à 15 minutes de l'aéroport. Malheureusement les chauffeurs de taxi ne parlaient pas anglais.
