For us, a clean comfortable bed is most important with good sleeping pillows. Woodrose did great here. The AC/Heat was also very good and gave us the perfect room temperature without being noisy.
Suggestions: adding another chair to sit at the table would be best. We to enjoy like a cup of coffee in the morning, but this was hard with one chair!
The coffee (expresso) maker was crammed into a spot with very little space to operate it. I would prefer, just a regular Keurig machine with a space for it.
Thank you for your gracious help with the AC unit, Raj

The room was pretty clean except for the bathroom. The tub was filthy and I did not feel comfortable taking a shower. I called when I left since the office was closed and was told that my bill would be adjusted. But it never was. I took photos and tried to paste here, but it wouldn’t let me. Not sure if I will book next time I come through.

Amazing Stay – Still the place I'll choose. A True Hidden Gem

Another last-minute reservation at The Wild Rose, and once again, it did not disappoint. Even on short notice, Checkin is simple and the staff welcoming and caring. There to help at any moment. I walked into a beautifully arranged room that immediately gave off that expensive, boutique-hotel feel, without the expensive price tag.
The room was spotless, thoughtfully styled, and smelled fresh and clean the moment I opened the door. Everything felt intentional and welcoming. The bed deserves a special mention, super comfortable, perfect for sinking into after a long day of travel.

Willits days, so near to the coast, can be nice and mild, but the nights get cold. No worries here the heater was already to create a warm, cozy atmosphere! There’s nothing better than relaxing in bed, comfortably warm, controlling everything with the remote and fully unwinding.

This place continues to be my go-to hidden gem anytime I’m traveling to Mendocino. Fort Bragg, or Ukiah. Consistently clean, comfortable, stylish, and reasonably priced. If you’re looking for a stay that feels upscale but still cozy and affordable, this is it. I’ll absolutely keep coming back.
Highly recommend!

We were disappointed that even though the new looking wood floor LOOKED clean, it was filthy. I took off my shoes and after just a few steps, my feet were black and sooty.
Also, the AC was too strong and I tried many times to turn it off at the remote even lower it and nothing worked. I finally turned off the fan manually.
Pool was not heated. Why have a pool for guests and pay for the expense, if no one can swim in it?
I liked the remodel, but please pay attention to details.
Putting the right toilet tank cover on doesn’t seem like a big deal, but it’s all the little details that make it better!
The front AND bathroom doors stuck tightly, and opening and closing them was a chore. DETAILS!
The manager, Raj was very friendly.

Exceeded our high expectations

We had high hopes for this hotel stay due to the ratings and reviews online and this hotel exceeded those expectations. It's the little things and the amazing attention to detail that makes you feel special, including the stamp on the first sheet of toilet paper showed that someone gave this a lot of thought. The furniture and fixtures make so much sense. The bed was great, the room was quiet and very spacious. This was one of the last stays on our 7 day road trip from Portland to San Francisco staying in a different hotel every night and while this was the cheapest of all 7 hotels it was by far the best.

Pass on this one.

Very noisy at 3:00 am!!
Room is tiny, one can barely get into the toilet room and shower.
Although it's clean, the door to outside has a gap in it I'm guessing no weather stripping?
The room has chipped paint on the baseboards. It's a bit rundown.
Only one chair, no table, small vanity counter. I'm regretting staying here. There's something to be said for indoor corridors hotels. The pictures on their website makes it look like it's a quaint hotel. It's not.
I'm giving it a low rating because of the noise level and how it's run down a bit.
The bed is just ok I've had worse.
The woodrose is a cheap motel ok for a one night stay.
There is a Taco Bell next to it and Safeway across the street, McDonalds close by.
Honestly pick somewhere else.
