A gem of a hotel in Uno Port
Uno Hotel had amazing service, rooms, views, and sense of calm in our very busy and hectic summer trip to see the Art Islands and Okayama. We were able take 3 separate ferry trips and visit 2 places within Okayama on our 6 night stay. We never went to the onsen, but absolutely loved the area and the little coffee shop in the town that was also a hostel. We will be back!

What a magical little town Uno. Uno hotel has friendly and helpful personnel, onsen with a view and outdoor baths on the waterfront and incredible restaurant inside the spa. I had fermented cedar bath and plenty of massages for on a rainy day. It was quiet perfect and cozy.

This is an exceptional hotel. I stayed in a room with a lovely balcony which was very relaxing in the evenings. The breakfast was delicious and filling. We had a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars stay. The staff was so helpful, Angela on the front desk answered to all of our questions regarding to our next visit to Naoshima Island. She was so thoughtful and helpful trying to make it a great visit. Everything was perfect until our departure. We came to collect our luggage and our train was departing in about hour and half. The hotel had small room where you can make yourself a cup of tea and sit at a table. So I ask for us to go there. The receptionist reply that it is not possible because we checked out. I gave her a very surprised look so she called the manager, I got the same resolute reply.
We booked the most expensive corner suite and dinned in the restaurant for two days. And at our departure, they could not offer us cup of tea.
I work in the hospitality bussines for my life time and this is against any common sense how you treat your guests. So here, the rules took over the common sense.

Modern and stylish hotel with great views from the bar/ dining area. Friendly helpful staff. We ate in the restaurant which was overpriced and disappointing (staff were charming however). This was originally a two night stay but due to unforeseen circumstances, ended up as an overnight stop so we weren’t able to make the trip to Naoshima or Teshima. However, it was clear that the ferry was close by and the area around the hotel made for a pleasant walk.

The breakfast was very tasty. The facility and view from the balcony looking across to islands in the Inland Sea was lovely. The beds were comfortable. On the down-side I found the wash basin set up within the bedroom and outside of a bathroom area cluttered and messy.

Wonderful hotel to stay at while visiting the Art Island -- Naoshima only 20 minute ferry ride, and just 45 minutes to Toshiba. Hotel has nice room with a balcony and view of the Inland Sea. There is a tasty breakfast included and, included as well, is a free pass to the nearby onsen with its multiple cool to hot pools and sauna.

What a beautiful 2 days spent in this gorgeous seaside town. UNO wasn’t on our radar initially but so glad we came. UNO Hotel what find. Only built in 2021, it’s clean, close to the station and ferry’s and the staff are amazing. The food is 5 star quality and was a pleasant surprise and experience for us. Highly recommend. 🙌👏🙌

Front desk: super kind and helpful, they helped us track our suitcase that was delayed from Sapporo using Yamato shipping services. There was always one staff member onsite who could communicate fluently in English if needed.

Highly recommended. Good location to the Art Island. Unlimited entry to onsen. Only thing is limited eateries. Do take note there is grocery and mall up north of the hotel on the same street.

Nice upscale hotel w a view of the sea, came with a complementary visit to nearby onsen/ spa also with a sea view. Perfect for a treat stay before going to Naoshima. Station and port right there for easy access. They also had a snack bar.
