The only downside was how loud it could be in the evening. For those that go to bed earlier it could be difficult to do so at times. The food and other services offered were all great as well.

This property was such an amazing find. While it was centrally located, it was a haven in the hustle and bustle of every day life. The breakfast was extensive and set us up for the day. The staff we encountered were friendly and knowledgeable and alway willing to help. I would throughly recommend this hotel and hope to be back.

Breakfast was great. So much choice with food. If you dont drink black tea or berber tea there are no other options (tea drinkers).

The restaurant at the hotel serves great food. Pizzas salads etc. My only complaint is that milkshakes are on the menu but in five days we could only have them once. Everyday they would say \"no milkshakes\" yet they could make iced mochas?

The pool area is beautiful. The pool life guard just sits around. The pool had lots of dead flies around the edges and floating around ..saw him clean it once...could do it more often. Its also freezing cold! The sunbathing area doesnt have many loungers and due to the courtyard design only gets the sun a few hours a day. Its a shame there is not a roof terrace to sunbathe.

The room was pleasant, comfortable but basic. Could have done with a bin in the bedroom and a mini fridge to keep water cold. Bedside tables only big enough for the lamp and not enough sockets to have lamp on and charge phone by bed.

House keeping would knock at strange times 8.30am or 9pm at night. They would take the dirty towels but not give us clean ones til later. They only cleaned the room once in 6 days and never took rubbish or empty glasses/bowls from the restaurant.

Overall it was good value for money. More of a hotel feel than the riad experience I'd had at other establishments.

The omelet station was only let down by the fact they didn't wipe out the bowls/pans between clients which is a problem if you have an allergy to dairy! The rooms don't have hairdryers but was told were available from reception. We asked on 3 separate occasions without success. Surely a hotel of this size had more than one! No sink plug in the bathroom washbasin which made shaving a problem. Apart from these little niggles we enjoyed our stay there. Hotel situated right in the centre of all places of interest. Pool and snack bar was very good. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

It would have been nice to have bottles of water replaced in our room every day we stayed, rather than just day 1.
Our toilet was not flushing so reported it and it was fixed straight away, only thing was that the bath mat was soaking wet and they left it on top of the bed!
When we arrived we were not greeted with complimentary drinks as we saw other guests were greeted with drinks (Moroccan tea).
I needed help with a restaurant booking so approached the front desk, the First Gentleman I spoke to I felt was abit abrupt with me! so spoke to another one instead who was very helpful.
I would have loved a long floor mirror in our room rather than one hung on the wall as a decorative piece( but could not even look in it as it was high up).
This is not a complaint but just something I experienced!
I would definitely book this riad again as it was so convenient to a lot of the places we visited, very clean, breakfast was enjoyable and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were polite and helpful especially the guy who took our suitcases from us midway on the way to our taxi ( as he just took other guests to their taxi, and saw us) the poor man nearly got run over by a motorcycle but he was not hurt!

We contacted the hotel prior to our stay and booked a transfer from the airport which worked really well & they also arranged the return transfer which took any stress out of the process. Breakfast good selection. Spa was good we had massages & hamam & the outdoor area was good to sit, relax & swim. Would recommend this Riad for your stay.

Upon arriving at the airport at 10:44pm we were hoping to be greeted by our driver, who we booked 3 months prior to arrival, that was not the case. We had to wait an hour for him to arrive to pick us up. No apology just went on like nothing had happened. We arrive at entrance where they drop you off with your luggage and someone comes to meet you to bring you down the alley to your hotel. Check in was fine and smooth BUT once we got into the room is where we were both put off (not even the first two scenarios were as bad). There were moths and gnats as the window was left open and stains on the sheets. At this point it was late and we were both exhausted, but not tired enough to hop on the internet and book another hotel for the next night. We got minimal sleep and had a tour booked for early the next morning. After the tour we came back to the room, collected our luggage, and went down to check out a day early. They basically just took our keys, gave us a thumbs up, and told us to have a nice day (kick rocks) after telling them about the room situation. Once again no apologies, \"how can we make this right?\", nothing.

Amazing location and a nice hotel overall but the service is pretty lacking. There was no “do not disturb” sign in our room and we went down to reception and asked them not to clean the room one day, they went in and did it anyway. The reception wouldn’t provide change for notes and made us use our card but had another till they were using to give change from the bar. You have to walk from the restaurant downstairs to reception any time you want to pay for anything. We pre-booked a taxi for 7.40am to the airport on our last day the night before but this meant nothing, they call the taxi on the day at the time you requested so we came down expecting our taxi to be ready and had to wait another 15 mins. Breakfast is decent but otherwise the food is very poor (bordering on inedible) so would recommend eating out.

Palais Moulay said was absolutely excellant. We had a great stay. Honestly it was fantastic value for money. Really central to the main medina, literally within minutes you were right in the center. The riad was beautiful...breakfast was exactly what you would hope for, great choice. The staff were amazingly helpful. We couldnt fault it. Very Clean Rooms, newly renovated. Very difficult to find, especially if the driver doesn’t know the area. Not a big hotel sign located on top. We passed it three times, until we had to call the hotel for the location. The Staff is very friendly. The Medina where it’s located inside of is very congested with shops and tourists. The hotel room is very basic. The Breakfast is nice, but keep away from any milk products, as their milk is not pasteurized. It caused all of us a lot of stomach problems.

If you’re looking for a nice peaceful getaway,
I would definitely suggest getting away from the Marrakesh.

And be careful of bribery, NOT AT THE HOTEL, but outside. Even if you ask for directions, people that will some money, so make sure you keep loose change with you.

A beautiful hotel, just wish it was at a different location. I would not go again to Marrakesh. Try Tangire or Essaouira ( Amazing spots ).

If you do decide to go, make sure they drop you off at the Square that way it’s a straight walk to the hotel.

Otherwise there’s a lot of alleys which at night is not the cleanest and slightly scary with odd characters. Keep ur belonging safe !!!!

Just returned from a three night stay. Found all staff polite, helpful and very welcoming. We could book trips with them and received a map of area. We're also given a name and number to call if we needed assistance whilst out and about. Breakfast was fresh with a good variety. During peek times they did struggle a little to keep topped up. There rooms were good. We had one leak issue due to the weather too which staff were quick to sort out. The hotel is situated in a great location. Best advise, what's out for the mopeds!

Absolute horrible riad !!!! Please avoid at all cost. Had flooding in our room the first 3 nights couldn’t sleep since we couldn’t turn on the AC. Only tried to compensate us with a 30 min massage which was also terrible. Wifi in the riad was horrible so we needed to end up buying more data to use internet. Rooms were super outdated and dark. Found the staff to be quite racist , as we were one of the very few brown people at the riad + my wife is a hijabi . They kept asking us for our room number during breakfast while others infront of us would just walk right past. Absolute horrible experience at palais moulay said try to avoid at all cost . The waiters at the restaurants aren’t also trained well and are quiet rude

If you are thinking of staying here, you must! We stayed here for 2 nights on our arrival to Marrakesh and our first time in Morocco. The taxi from airport (organised by hotel) took us to the taxi stand at the end of the road and someone from the hotel took our luggage and through the streets to the hotel. It is a beautiful oasis in the middle of Marrakesh!! So well located and Palais Moulay is so beautiful and it was a really magical part of our stay in Marrakesh and Morocco!

From the moment we arrived, the staff couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. The room was comfortable and spacious. A few minor maintenance issues but nothing that affected our enjoyment. The breakfast was varied and fresh and plenty of it. The pool was unheated as expected, but a refreshing relief from the heat of the city. The Highlights

The Staff: Truly the heartbeat of this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the team went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They were incredibly attentive, professional, and genuinely warm.

The Food: Breakfast was absolutely stellar. Every morning was a treat with fresh ingredients and great variety—it was easily one of the highlights of our daily routine.

The Location: You couldn’t ask for a better spot. It is super close to both the Medina and Bahia Palace, making it incredibly easy to explore the city's historical gems on foot without needing constant taxis.

The Only Downside

The only reason I am rating this 4 stars instead of 5 was a persistent funky smell in certain areas of the property. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it was noticeable enough to affect the otherwise luxurious vibe of the stay.

Final Verdict: Despite the odor issue, the incredible service and prime location make this a top-tier choice. We would definitely stay here again!

Our stay was, overall, excellent. The riad is beautiful, with very tasteful décor and a მშვიდ, relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well equipped, and the common areas—especially the courtyard and the terrace—are perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the city.

The staff deserve a special mention: always kind, attentive, and willing to help at all times. They made us feel very welcome from the very first day, and their warm, personal approach truly made a difference in our experience.

As the only point worth noting, we had a minor external issue on the day of departure with the taxi pickup, which did not arrive as scheduled. Although we understand this was outside the accommodation’s control, it did cause some stress at the end of the trip.

Despite this small detail, our experience was very positive, and we would definitely recommend this riad to anyone looking for a charming place, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere in Marrakech.

Fabulous stay, was one night and much of the next day, wish it had been longer. The hamam experience was amazing, the jacuzzi that's included is like a small pool, and the massage was great- my sister and I went together and we're Turkish so we have a strong idea of what a hamam should be like and this was our best experience ever.
The staff in every section of the hotel (reception, snack bar, etc.) were all very accommodating and friendly. The location is also super convenient for the suk, Jemaa el-Fnaa, various gardens and palaces. The snack bar by the pool makes really good stone-fired pizzas, fresh juices, etc. and was quite reasonable.

A first visit to Marrakech + Morocco and this was a wonderful Rhiad and a wonderful place to stay. As we couldn't check in until 3pm and our morning flight landed around 1030am we were able to leave our luggage and start our
exploration of Marrakesh.Palais Moulay Said had previously arranged an airport transfer which was on time and communication was clear and efficient. were greeted by a member F staff, who took our bags and led Us into the Medina.Aftet flling out some paperwork We wete greeted qith Moroccon Tea biscuits lovely welcome. + We changed and left for our pre booked trip
A taxi was offered but we declined and decided to walk into the Souks. Upon our evening return we were welcomed,given our room key breakfast timings were confidently explained as were Spa opening times and a price list also given. Our whole experience was wonderful, nothing too much trouble, from a coffee to our room,a spa appointment which was Hlammam and a massage,truly wonderful, highly recommend, To booking a return airport transfer and being escorted out of ine Medina to the car. .The sewage/drainage smell takes a little getting used too due to the old infalastrucure of the pipes,the sink cranks up quite a whiff! Running the water helps and closing the bathroom

We didn’t know quite what to expect having never stayed in a Riad hotel before. However the room was functional and had all we needed. The staff were pleasant and helpful and very approachable. Never got to use the pool due to the weather but ate in the restaurant which was good food a at a good price.

The staff were very friendly. Absolutely beautiful hotel but slightly damp bathrooms (we had two separate rooms with a bathroom each - both damp).
Fabulous breakfast.
Very local position - we could walk everywhere in Marrakech.

We left to the airport early in morning at 6am and they give us the worst breakfast ever, I can’t believe it , it’s the worst stay I ever stay in Morocco, we left the 4 umbrellas and no one contacted us , bad management

I’m currently writing this taking care of my partner who is sick as can be because we were bitten up by bed bugs. We took photos and showed the staff and they took their own photos. Tried waiting for a manager but the two times they said they would be there the staff would go “oh no they’ll be here at this time” which would be in hour increments. We booked a flight to leave that day losing out on our last two nights. Severely disappointed and waiting on any refund status

Very attentive staff, from check-in, and at all times of the day that we were at the hotel! Delicious breakfast, especially the freshly made egg omelette! Lots of places to relax - it was very peaceful considering the Riads location to the square!

Nice friendly check in. Staff were amazing. Clean hotel, lots of staff about. The most amazing hotel breakfast I have had. Was perfect for a couple of night stay. I bet in summer it would be lovely to relax in and around the pool which looked like an amazing size. Highly recommend

I had a great stay at Palais Moulay. The staff was so nice and helpful. Everyone spoke English so I didn't have a problem communicating. The rooms were pretty clean . The bathroom needs to be updated my shower door was broken . The water pressure and temperature was great tho. It was right in the middle of the markets so be prepared to walk through the market to get to the hotel. I only removed one star because of the bathroom and although I got clean sheets daily I'm not sure they vacuumed because I saw something left on the rug for a few days. I liked that alot of foreign people were there and I felt very safe at the hotel. They have great spa services and a restaurant , I only ate one time there . Keep in mind in the Medina there is no alcohol so you have to stay in your room and drink if you do have alcohol and the restaurant at the hotel only serves virgin drinks. All in all my stay was lovely the hotel is beautiful, smelled amazing and clean. I felt safe as a solo traveler .

The staff is sooooooooo amazing. Unfortunately, we had a room that was close to a smoking stand and our room had a gap in the door that made our room fill with smoke.

The staff were kind and brought our bags through the Medina. Was easy check in and the Facilites were great. We had tea by the pool almost every night and it felt like an oasis from the hustle.

While the public areas of this hotel are aesthetically beautiful, the rooms are very worn out , the beds are extremely uncomfortable and the bathroom was very dingy and smelled bad .

My room was on the first floor near the kitchen area , so it was very noisy , I also contracted food poisoning from the food that was served to me ( avocado toast + salad ) and was extremely ill .

The luggage man was the only bright spot of this stay , he helped me haul my luggage up to the road and he also coordinated a taxi for me .
