The entire staff was absolutely wonderful along with the view from the pool and room. The overall property needs to be updated and refreshed. Pool area, restaurants or lack of and room were tired. It does not look like the photos.The rug in the bedroom was so dirty with stains, we wore our shoes in the room. Also, it’s a far drive from everything and requires cabs back and forth. We stayed at Eden Rock last trip which was sold out and advised from friends for Christopher. If you are going to spend the money going to St Barths choose another resort for the total experience.

Staff needs training. It does not take 2-3 staff people to wait on one guest. This makes it difficult for other guests to get help. Certainly the staff was friendly, but organizing how this works would be an improvement.

In our “Junior Suite” the toilet switch kept getting stuck and the “refresh” should have replaced old halogen lights with soft LEDs because the halogens cause heat. Also, for high end hotels, there should be both 50 and 60Hz plugs with proper electricity voltage. Systems for this are small but make a lot of difference. Having to use adapters is not high end standards anymore.

When I booked the terrace room with a water view, the pictures in Expedia led me to believe the room would be nicer than it actually was. There were no pictures of the room we were in. It was dark with a sliding door to the bathroom that did not, but construction, close completely. The view was somewhat obstructed. The property is nice and we had a good time, but I expected a light room with a high ceiling and would encourage prospective travelers to Google the various room levels and their images before choosing this property.

The hotel is beautiful, but what makes it a gem is the staff. A family member lost his cel phone while in st. Barths, the staff at the hotel did everything they could until they found it. The service was excellent from pick up at the ferry terminal to drop off and at every point in between, breakfast, dinner, arranging a tour. Would absolutely recommend the Christopher.

This has to be one of the most beautiful properties I’ve stayed at in SBH. The local is excellent. Yes it’s pricey but you get what you pay for. The tall bald gentleman at the front hands down blew our minds with his efficiency of his service. The female pool attendant with the hat and long curl hair was excellent as well. Rooms are all with a beautiful view. The architect designed the place phenomenally. If I could’ve added a video I would’ve. The picture doesn’t do the justice.

Beautiful, relaxing, excellent service, the staff are very attentive and attractive, everything is clean, drinks are good but they could build a list of boutique cocktails that feature some exotic combinations. Read Codex for example. Otherwise, such a perfect vacation we’ll be back next year or maybe again in the fall. In the meantime, perhaps I’ll collect a dozen cocktail recipe suggestions and bring along the accoutrements. Can’t wait to get back!

Found a cockroach in our room, the staff told us this was normal. Rented a car from the hotel and a staff had taken my phone number and credit card information from my file and used it to message me on what’s app instead of contacting me in a professional way through phone or email. Beautiful views but would not return to this hotel.

The hotel's pool is the best on the island and offers amazing views of the ocean. It is a small island so the location is quite convenient to all the main attractions. One thing I would mention is how expensive the taxis are but the hotel itself is an amazing property!

Hotel Christopher is a small and very well appointed hotel. Very clean and new with excellent room design. Reception services were excellent. Concierge was good and housekeeping very efficient. Pools staff were a bit distracted and often required reminders for orders. Car/Valet are fantastic and transfers to the airport are included which makes renting a smaller car possible with a family (much appreciated)

Breakfast was quite good however selection was repeated with very little variety. (Eggs were quite poor and some things like waffles+pancakes should be served warm not cold) ... excellent service at breakfast however more than made up for the shortcomings. Overall a top notch small hotel.

Dinner menu’s changed a few times and we only dined once at the hotel. Overall it was a bit disappointing given the substantial premium on the prices for dining .... however it may have been due to a table of 25 people dominating the restaurant leaving our table orphan. Menu rather confusing and limited (appears to be a steak restaurant with limited alternatives.... odd for an island) ... not especially tailored for families with limited child friendly selections on the menu.

Gorgeous, well-kept property with lovely infinity pool and lounge area.

Overall, we really did enjoy our stay. For the price we paid, we were expecting a 5-star experience and service; however, there were definitely some shortcomings:
1. no beach
2. as others have pointed out there are, in fact, ants crawling around the room
3. instead of inviting, white, clean bed sheets upon arrival .. our sheets had a yellow stain on them.
4. The service in the pool area is lacking and very inconsistent. I had to wait 30 minutes to get a drink/food menu delivered to me before giving up on the idea and going to another venue.
5. every single time we had breakfast there was an issue. It consistently took at least 10 minutes to be served coffee after being seated. My egg order was wrong on 3 of the 4 days (including TWO times on the same day).

Nobody ever asked how our stay was until checkout.

I normally would let all of the above slide, but when I'm paying >$1000 per night, I expect 5-star perfection.

Having said all of the above, it was a very nice stay overall and we probably would consider returning in the future.

We were particularly impressed by the outstanding valet (I think his name was Thibeau) who drove us to the airport upon our departure. He was so nice and lovely to chat with. He walked us to the airport check-in counter and ensured that they accepted us on the flight despite arriving so late (due to our own tardiness). He was awesome and deserves special recognition.

Gorgeous Property + Fantastic Service

The service here is absolutely top notch from the initial check-in welcome and cocktail to the check out and baggage service. The pool area and hotel views are gorgeous. What a great property. But with great accommodations come great price$ (which are inline with the rest of St. Barth!). Fantastic visit. Exceptional breakfast buffet. Would highly recommend.

Be aware!

There's drilling going on from 7am-6pm Monday through Friday. The noise is unbearable and you will have to go off the property during those times

Why did I wait 20 years to get here?!!!

Amazing, is an understatement . This hotel was one of the places I have ever stayed in. My husband and I were just celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. Everything was outstanding. I may even dare to say, better than my honeymoon.. ha ha.. Can't wait to go back...

Great Hotel

The only things that this hotel lacks is a private beach ... but with all the great beaches at St Barts, who cares ... and a fine dinning restaurant ... but again, there are so many dinning choices this is not an issue. Who wants to just stay at the hotel to eat anyway. The staff is wonderful, the grounds and facilities are great, there is a wonderful spa. We will be back to St Barts and will stay at the Christopher again.

Fantastic hotel

First time in this hotel. Beautiful setting along the sea shore, breakfast included and wonderful service. The staff is very profesional and they look pleased to help and happy that you are there authentically. The restaurant offers high quality service and the included breakfast is well prepared and delicious. They have a Sisley spa with a wide menu of services. Overall we have only positive remarks towards our stay and this hotel and their service. My husband forgot his wallet under a pool bed and it was returned to him untouched the following day. We will definitely be going back soon!
