It was not cleat at all. Their check in time is super late and they were not flexible to make change in my booking amd charged one extra night with no fleixibility to fix the problem.
Ann
The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. The bathroom tub caulking was coming apart, ind could be fixed, and the blow drier didn’t work. (Room133)
Shannon
Very very outdated. The musty smell hits you hard. Went to go have a hot tub after a long 7 hr drive, the steps to get in were so slimy, that we passed on having g a hot tub.
Staff not friendly at all, we arrived an hour before check in(again after a very long drive) asked the front attendant if by chance we could check in early, we were met with.. check in is at 3 and then continued her conversation with a fellow coworker. $244 is a ridiculous amount to ask anyone to pay for the condition this place was.

Fairly clean room. Awesome breakfast! Coffee and tea always available. Strong air freshener smell in room.
I was double charged for the room twice eventually fixed by staff.

The room was on the 2nd floor although I advised at time of booking, of my mobility issues with stairs. No elevator!
The room was a dark and dingy room with dingy carpet noting the room didn’t have an outside window for fresh air; only a door opening above an indoor pool and as you can see, NO steps to get out anywhere should the need arise!
This was a fire trap and I’m thinking its not even within the scope of legal!
The room was permeated with the strongest smelling chlorine that I felt it on my tongue and it was affecting both my breathing and my eyes! I ended up having an asthma attack which prompted me to decide I couldn’t stay there any longer; all this within 20 minutes of entering the room!
I called the front desk requesting a room change and was told there were no other rooms.
I couldn’t stay there with it affecting my health so I went back to reception with my stuff and advised I was leaving and the reasons why.
I asked for a refund since I was not staying in that ‘illegal’ room and that these are not the rooms as advertised!
She refused to to refund me.
I ended up leaving and am out all that money but will be perusing this further; someone could die in that room!
DO NOT STAY IN THIS PLACE!!!!

Staff were very friendly and informative. Room could use a refresh. Floors in bathroom and carpet should be replaced. Carpets have a musty smell. Room was fine for one night.
Evelyn
The rooms were clean. The air conditioner could use a clean there was mould in it. The staff were very helpful for resetting our cards when I put it on my phone. They called us when my son had forgotten a very important bag. We really appreciated that. Breakfast was good. We will recommend your place and we would stay there again. We did a a mix up with our room. A staff member had tried to get into our room. It was hard to get back to sleep after that. It was a misunderstanding.
Andrew
The breakfast in the morning was worth it. Our kids enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. The room was a little dated and the chair was torn. I would recommend this hotel to others
Natalie
Staff was great, cleanliness was good. Although the building is dated, it is well maintained. Breakfast was okay and had a good variety of choices.
john
Place was ok. Bit run down. Light in bathroom didn’t work. Bed was ok. Breakfast was decent. Cheaper than other places around. So I was ok with it. I’m on the road and male travelling solo. I’m sure my wife wouldn’t have liked it
Sharon
Amazing stay, everything was clean. Bed was comfortable. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Super quiet and serene. Delicious hot breakfast with make your own waffles, sausages and lots of choices. Highly recommend stopping here
Evan
older hotel but the room was clean, parking convenient and the complimentary breakfast was excellent
Lorne
OK. Property is dated but appreciate entry to ground floor rooms from inside hallway and also being able to park outside and enter from exterior. Breakfast selection adequate. Kitchen attendant very lovely and accommodating. Budget stay.
Bruce
We would gladly stay here again, no question. Beautifully designed, well thought out, balcony for those on the 2nd floor, spacious room, quiet. What's not to love?
Rod
Breakfast was excellent!
John
Breakfast could use signs and better organization.
Christopher
Very clean and comfortable with an excellent breakfast. Staff were very helpful and courteous. The hotel is showing it's age a bit but we'll return.
Note that there is an occasional train, but it did not disturb us.

Wonderful staff. Beautiful grounds, could see a wedding done there. Breakfast was included and very delicious
Justin
Price was decent, check in was easy
Keith
All good.

One soap bar only none in the shower, no garbage basket in living room, breakfast is closes at 9am
Lisa
Breakfast was very good!
Room cleanliness was not great, and the sink did not drain well. There was food under the bed (kids snacks) and the bathroom was not super clean.

The hotel is in a terrible condition. The toilet have hard time to flush, it smell humidity… probly because of the carpet
Cynthia
Room was very clean. Pool and hot tub was nice.
Erin
The rooms were very nice and the staff were super friendly. It was a slow time so the breakfast menu was missing a lot of items but this was told to us at check-in. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were super clean. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub!
Julia
Very clean and comfortable for the price.
Ken
Room was clean and staff was polite. The sink for customer use was in the room and not the bathroom. This would have been ok but there was no mirror or light above the sink.
Pati
Shower didn’t drain, toilet barely flushed, couldn’t control temperature. Bed was comfy, good variety at breakfast
Gerard
Very friendly and clean. Enjoyed our weekend.
Michael
Tv did not work. Internet constantly cut out and could not use it.
Bridgette
The vibe was overall not great. Improving lighting and cleanliness would go a long way. My sleep was very disrupted by noise past quiet hours.
gordon
Started at the reception. Very easy and the receptionist was very knowledgeable regarding the hotel and area.
The room was clean and warm. The accessories worked well. Breakfast was great!

Clean room. Comfortable bed. Great shower!
Joanna
Clean and fine for a short overnight stay
Daniel
Good breakfast one of the best yet of the included breakfast motels I've been to. Super nice staff, clean rooms and corporate rates. All good!
Kate
Always friendly staff which is always appreciated after a long drive.
Karen
Quiet and convenient to the highway for travel, Rooms are a bit tired but clean
Richard
The stay was pleasant. The room was clean. The beds were clean and comfy. The bathroom could use an upgrade. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was great. Pool area was clean. Hot tub should have been a little hotter and pressure on the jets could have been a little higher. But overall, we enjoyed our stay. It was our second stay. We were there in June. Would definitely return there. Well worth the cost.
Brian
This was an absolutely full breakfast menu with fresh hot scrambled eggs, sausages, hash browns. Fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt. Everything thing you would want for a hot or cold breakfast. Breakfast lady was friendly and helpful.
Don
Sean was very friendly and welcoming at the desk!
Ronald
Breakfast was a buffet, lots of choices.
Air conditioner did not work well at all.
Room was small.
Toilet seems to be for a child, very low.

Everything was as it should be. I like staying at this location as it is in a beautiful area. The rooms are clean and everything worked as it should.
Sara
We just needed a place to sleep on our trip back from climbing Mount Carleton. Bed was not that comfy, shower pressure was poor, room was outdated. For the price I paid, I expected better. But we had a place to rest, so it served its purpose.
Leonard
Overall it was nice, but did need some upgrading
david
We were upgraded from a cabin to a room in main building at no extra charge so we could have easier access to the pool and breakfast area without asking for it. Was very thoughtful of them and much appreciated.
Erick
Cabin was cozy, eventhought it was not new
GRAHAM
Lots of good restaurants within a few minutes drive.
Michael Jul
Okay for a quick nights sleep, but the train that drives 20 meters behind the motel will wake you up !

Great for a night or two.
Our king bed room was decent in size and.clean. Breakfast was veru good and inclided both hot and cold items. If you can't het a decent start to your day then you are very p9cky.
Main drawback is that there are no restsiramts within walking distance.

Breakfast was wonderful both times. The cabins have been redone beautifully inside, but outside needs some work. Some of the lights in cabins (418 and 402) didn't seem to work. The air on 402 is not a good unit. Overall, a good place to lay ones head for a nights sleep

Our first room the toilet didn't flush, the person at the front desk was super helpful but the only room available was a cottage, which was fine but the place smelt like it hasn't been used in months. It was clean however it was super hot, the air conditioner had sooooo much dust on it that it was barely blowing any cold air. The cottage is not even close to being level. This could be a super cute place if they spent some money fixing it up. The pool was really nice but there is next to no lighting and super slippery. Breakfast was delish
FRED

The Inn was a great stopover on our to Nova Scotia. It was very clean and staff was friendly and the breakfast was great. Although a little dated we would come again.

Great stay
Older motel but the rooms are clean. The breakfast is great. They have make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries, baked beans a variety of cereals plus many other options. The staff is friendly and lots of parking spaces.

The room was clean, noise is the main issue from train at 10:30 pm. There was vibration in room not sure what that is from. We liked the breakfast and very nice staff and reception. We have stayed before. The rates are cheaper.

Great spot

Upon arriving after 3pm (check in time) i was informed my room was not ready. I then said “is check in time not 3pm?” The staff said “yes” so I asked how long it would be until my room was ready as it was already after 3pm. The staff told me “I can’t say a time incase it’s not done then”
At approximately 4:30pm I finally got my room. Was very disappointed when I entered my room and it was still dirty. There was left over chips on the floor, one of bed sheets had orange spots on them like food had been spilled. The room should’ve been cleaned especially after making us wait an extra 1.5 hours for our room.

Surprisingly nice!
Nicer than expected for a hotel along highway. We stayed in one of the cabins around the pond out front. Excellent breakfast. The only thing we didn’t like was the strong smell of cleaner when we got in the room. We had to leave the door open for some time to air it out.
sonya
Evening attendant not warm or friendly. And didn’t provide wifi info. Disappointing.
Frank
Great stay!
Very good price for the the amenities this hotel offers.

Mixed review
Breakfast was hearty. Bed was comfortable. Cabin smelled a bit like second hand smoke. Pool was nice though hot tub could have used a cleaning.
Terry
Great stop over
The room was very clean, great shower pressure. The breakfast was great. They offered everything from waffles to eggs, bacon and sausage. Plus cereals and other breakfast items.
viviane
Clean and fresh

Building was nice, however the lack of elevators made the second floor a challenge to get to. Needs some updating.
Jim
It was convenient but a bit run down

There is a lot going for this hotel… very large dining room for breakfast and big lobby with wooden beams. Room was also very spacious.
Catherine
Price was a little high for the room we booked.
Mark
The cabin smelled, there were spiders all through the room.
Anthony
For what you pay it’s worth it the owners staff are really nice and welcoming
Judy
We were disappointed re amenities stated on the web site were not operational e.g. Sauna and Gym, the pool was good but the area around was not clean. The hangers in the closet were so high we could not reach them and we were not advised that maid service was not daily.

Dated abd tired hotel booked last minute
Great family place i usually stay at Hilltop Motel was booked
Ok for one night but nothing to encourage another stop over

Staff allowed someone else to check into my reserved room and charge my credit card without my consent or me being present. They did not have my credit card or their name on my reservation. Staff didn’t seem to care that they messed up and offered no solution other than to wait for my money back from my credit card. The room was not cleaned when we arrived- there was still gross take out left in our fridge from who knows when and housekeeping failed to service our room between days leaving an overflowing garbage. Highly dissatisfied with this stay.
Claude
In serious need of rénovation , there was coffee stain on furniture and some garbage between the bed and the bedside table. Got woke up by train in middle of night and noise from next room.
Mary
It was a dated Hotel, but clean

Steve
Due to a medical emergency, we could not continue our vacation and had to cancel our reservation. Because we called to canel at 5:50 pm, it was too late to avoid paying for the night.
Ron
It was smelly old and tired had mold in the bathroom would not return
Dave
Nice staff, comfortable bed
George
Convenient to highway yet quiet
Linda
Booked a cabin which looks sits on the border of a small lake. The ducks were lovely and the deck is set up with chairs for lounging. Room was very clean, beds were comfortable, and amenities adequate. While small, it was a great overnight stay. If you need a freezer refrigerator does not have one; adapters for phone/electronics.
Tina
Beds and pillows very comfortable
Craig
The staff are nice but this place has completely fallen off. TV didnt work, ice machine didnt work, the bathroom tub was dirty, and you get a high pitch whistle when you shower. Its too bad, but i just dont feel healthy at this place, it is so rundown and dirty
Jayed
The bed was terrible. I was not able to sleep the whole night and the body is in pain now. The washroom and the shower are too small and not well chalked.
Loved the pool and jacuzzi but the room was not good.

We stayed here during our family trip along the East Coast and were pleasantly surprised by every aspect of this place. We’ll definitely be returning on our next visit.

To be totally honest, our room was really worn out and it had large spider webs in all the corners of the sealing. Brown stains on the sealings from leakages, stains in the bathtub etc. It really needed an upgrade and a better cleaning.

My room was on the second floor, and no elevator .Had to drag all suitcases up the stairs.I was traveling with children by myself. When booking expedia should have mentioned this issue. There are other rooms on main floor or ground cabins .
Igor
Pretty good hotel, honestly can’t complain. Saw the reviews about the nasty pool and I must say that Im not really sure about what they’re talking about, everything was very clean and nice. I would recommend this place if you’re thinking about it. It really is quite cozy, bedrooms and furniture is excellent and so is the pool (very spacious, large) and hot tub.

Overall the property is good
