We arrived around 7PM to a sign with a phone number which we could not connect to. We had to wait around for 20-30 minutes before someone else arrived who was able to help us connect. Then it took another 10-15 minutes before the clerk arrived to check us in. The hotel room was just okay. Nothing special.

This was the second Hôtel we booked through hotels.com on this trip was supposed to be a treat stay after the previous basic one and it was not good. The chat to resolve our issues went nowhere.
Pool and spa closed, no restaurant open at all, the sink in our room was broken. It was very disappointing, not made clear enough it was basically all shut still at the end of May.
Gruissan the town however is glorious.

Disappointing and poor service
The mattress was comfortable enough but not when it overhangs the divan base by a huge amount such that you could fall off. The staff refused to acknowledge our complaint, dismissing it as normal to put a large double mattress over smaller twin bases. They even implied we had created the problem by moving the bases together ourselves. Terrible customer service!

Really good hotel comfortable double bed shower/bathtub plus your own balcony, didn’t use the swimming pool or restaurant so can’t comment. Good price at £60 for early September still warm 22-28 degrees

Clean and comfortable hotel. Room was an adequate size with a pleasant balcony which had a pretty view over the water. The pool was a good size and clean although slightly on the chilly side. Had limited dealings with staff but everyone was friendly and helpful. The hotel was quiet and we weren't bothered by noise from the the casino. 5 minute walk to the marina and 15 minutes to the old town. Gruissan old town is lovely and the beach wad clean and not too busy.

Practical hotel, but not particularly pleasant.
Hotel is on the edge of town, at the back of a huge carpark for the casino. It looks rather like an american motel. All the bedroom doors are on the outside of the building. Tiny rooms. Our view was of the next building. Very noisy one night with music from a nearby venue. Pool was freezing (mid august!). Not particularly attractive area around it. On the Saturday morning there was a zumba class by the pool and the music was louder earbleeding loud, ruining the breakfast area peace (and you couldn't see the pool from there)
Staff were pleasant. Felt sorry for them working here! We only used the hotel as a base, so didn't have to spend any time there.

Was a little surprised on arrival, as it was more like a motel. No bar or restaurant, but plenty of bars, restaurants very close by at the marina. In fact it was the perfect location, with lots of free parking. Breakfast croissants were delicious. Would definitely stay there again. Plus had the best night's sleep, the bed was soooo comfortable.

Very pleasant location for a rest and some diverse sightseeing. Within minutes of beautiful beaches, interesting villages, historic sites, fine seafood eateries, and casino gaming. Facilities were very clean and the staff was very helpful.

Gruissan was great.The Phoebus is a bit tacky next to the Casino with no view from the room but it was clean and comfortable with parking and the location was handy for the town and it was an easy walk almost everywhere.The swimming pool was good for a dip at the end of the day

I visited Gruissan as a teenager in the 90s and was keen to check it out with my girlfreind. I booked the Casino Le Phoebus as it seemed the only decent option available.
The hotel is incredibly easy to find, being just off the main road into Gruissan from the motorway. We arrived at 1pm but our room wasn't ready, we were told we could use the pool or visit the village, we decided to look around the marina which is a 5 minute walk away. The weather was beautiful and despite being late July, everything was very quiet. We came back and while waiting for our room, an extremely polite young lady on reception brought us a complimentary coffee.
The room itself was clean and spacious with excellent air conditioning but was in need of an update. The pool was lovely though and the location was beautiful and serene, and staff were polite and attentive. Gruissan itself comes alive at night, with bars and restaurants reaching all round the harbour, live music and shops and stalls open late. Weather is often windy, but this is most refreshing when its so hot!
Wish I had stayed longer, there is plenty to do in the surrounding area and this is an excellent base to return to and unwind!

Is the best hotel in area, very clean and staf is nice..very beautifuul place...but is you go to dinner out side de hotel to the litle town of Grissan go before 9:00 pm because the restaurant close very early.

Une nuit à 110€ hors saison qui ne vaut pas son prix ! Le matelas est sale, la propreté du jaccuzi est à revoir, les affaires des précédents client n'était pas ramassés. Nous avons commandé des boissons et on nous à oublié on à dû appeler la réception pour leur rappeler. Heureusement que nous avons eu un geste commercial !

De prime abord l'arrivée ne fait pas rêver, l'entrée de l'hôtel sur un parking type comme un supermarché etc...la chambre petite, en fait au regard des photos et du prix on s'attendait à une toute autre prestation environnante mais ce qui a fait la différence c'est la grande amabilité du personnel et leur salle de restauration ainsi que la terrasse avec vue sur l'étang. Au soleil très agréable. ( comme sur la photo ) ...il y a du pour et du contre qui donne un bel équilibre. la promenade jusqu'à Gruissan village est top ! et le centre village très mignon. J'ai trouvé l'hôtel cher au regard de sa situation et la petitesse des chambres et le peu de confort ( Pas de machine à café ni thé par exemple etc....) Peu de rangement et tout petit balcon sans vue mais appréciable. N'allez pas au CASINO il est glauque ! sauf si vous aimez jouer cependant, bar et cocktails sympa et concerts aussi...mais il y a mieux ailleurs...enfin surtout le vent et les sport de voile ;-) et village centre très sympa avec ses petits restos et bars supers. Cet hôtel n'a rien de fantastique comme il est écrit sur Hotel.com Il est simplement MOYEN son appellation est exagérée et c'est dommage....nous on est venus en amoureux et on était déçu car il n'a rien de romantique mais on s'est adapté...

Chambre en mauvais état et très petite. Très très très humide. Climatisation inefficace et il est inutile d’essayer de réguler la température. Moustique écrasé sur le mur par un client précèdent et non nettoyé. Les chambres ont besoin d’une sérieuse rénovation. Service minimum. Pas de machine à café dans la chambre. Pas de réception après 21h. L’hôtel-Spa s’apparente plus un motel. Le câble de chargement de mon téléphone a brulé à la suite d’une explosion de la prise électrique. Des flammes sont sorties de la prise électrique. En guise d’excuse, on m’a demandé si le câble était celui d’origine ?!? Aucun dédommagement proposé pour le rachat d’un nouveau câble. Il y avait une forte odeur de brulé dans la chambre et aucun système de détection ne s’est mis en marche. Je me pose des questions quant au respect des normes de sécurité. Il a fallu que je change de chambre.

Impossible d'avoir le responsable , mais le lendemain de mon départ ,ils ont tenter de me prélever une somme (pas définie) sur mon emprunte de carte stipulant que j'étais parti avec les draps et les serviettes de la chambre .. se rendant compte étonnement après que c'était la femme de chambre qui ne leur avait rien dit!! incroyable .
