Facility is big but nicely laid out, clean room and great staff. Swimming pool water temperature got very high, they really should invest in water cooling system because the beach is not that great with rocky bottom.

I really enjoyed my time at Stella Maria. Good vibe with decent food options and buffet. Slight downside was the bathroom was a little dirty. Hair dryer had dust and hair on it, and some other spots around the bathroom. But honestly, that's a small complaint. The resort felt very safe and the staff all had sparkling personalities and were very helpful and kind to an english only speaker.

One small thing I will bring up is that the place is sort of loud. Not a complaint so much as just a warning for people who want to relax and read by the pool. They always have loud music playing over the PA by the pool, so if you like naps and quiet that might be something to consider. Orhwrwise very good.

They had kids activities with monitors all day everyday and it was amazing. The pool and all the kids things were amazing. The little side barracas with food were a hit and the kids loved it.

It is my first time to give a unpleasant comment to any of the hotels I stayed before… the hotel room is super old… and the pillow cover is not so clean, even yellow… and the beds, table are full of small ants…and one thing really don't understand, when I arrived in the hotel, they asked you to do a online precheck-in, normally the precheck supposed to help you save time, but here and it is the only hotel after the precheck you still need to be in line for another normal check in, and they asked you again fpr everything… so what is the point?

This is one of those properties that looks like it “used to be great.” It was ok, but quite old. The tile in our room was either moldy or old and chipping out- not really sure, but it did not appear clean. Paint job was sloppy in the room. No USB ports in the room for charging phones. It was adequate, but not what we had hoped for.

This property is located in a secluded area of the Stella Maris beach where walking is not really ideal especially if you are alone. The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. Although I chose the “luxury” room, the bedroom was very modest but offered a very comfortable bed. The bathroom could use some renovation as there was noticeable mold and the sink seemed clogged. The A/C worked great but leaked so much - I had to place a towel on the floor.
The amenities were great, offered daily activities to kids and adults . “Tia Nutella” was super at entertainment and the pool was beautiful! I would stay again but wouldn’t pay the “extra” for the luxury room.

Nope nope nope. Just book somewhere else. It was like arriving to a government department where you need to take a numbered ticket and wait an hour to be able to approach the front desk. Trust me, this is not a “resort experience”. You can get a much nicer experience for a cheaper price elsewhere. The rooms are so old they are falling apart. The only nice thing was the view.

there are no preventative maintenance on the room.
the toilet didn’t flush properly. the maintenance person tried to fix the problem for several times during my stay. the sink was clogged. it was not releasing water properly

The location worked well for us. The property is tired, and needs maintenance and upgrading. People generally quite helpful, but had constant problems with poor WiFi as we were also trying to do some work there. Does not deliver on the pictures presented, so when expectations are higher can be a problem

We were asked to be registered at hotel “system” twice: one time by someone at tours guide and de second at front desk. Not sure what they were doing but it feels like they were trying to get us on a sort of spam database list then at hotel property, such waste of time and not professional approach on gathering our personal info twice!

The quality of food was poor, no towel service you have to rent the towels which are extremely small. Attitude of staff was they don´t care about anything. not helpful. The room was clean. The air conditionig was uncontrollable. Maitenance after one or two calls per day never ever showed to fix it. Never ever stay here.

This place looks nice in pictures. When you get there, the rooms are small, dirty, full of dust, unkept, they had mosquitoes and roaches and mice. The fitness room was a joke. It looked like a museum of dusty really old workout equipment from the 70s. The spa was decent. The restaurant had slow and poor service. The beach is full of rocks and it’s overall a trashy place. We checked out after day 1. We were staying 3 days. It was awful

Ive been here probably 20 + times.. the best part is location. Beach front. You can sleep with the door to the beach open and listen to the waves all night long. Close to the airport. The hotel is a little run down and the TV in the room in super small and old. Food is good , not great. But i still love this place .

The pool area was fantastic, the music by the pool was a little boring and they could have played more up to date/festive music. The entertainment was okay, luckily it didn't last too long. The drink service by the pool was pretty good, was a little slow if you're really trying to party, but otherwise it was definitely not as slow as other reviewers have complained. Jucilene (by the pool) was wonderful. The beach was gorgeous, had everything you could possibly need (food, drinks, chairs, umbrellas). Water was beautiful, but too rough to swim in right in front of the hotel. The beach area felt very safe and there were very few people walking around bothering you to buy things as with many other South American beaches. The room was nice, clean, view of the ocean was fantastic. The elevator is like a SAUNA. It is so freaking hot. If we weren't on the 5th floor I would have walked. Breakfast had A LOT of options. Is it the best quality food? No, but was it decent? Absolutely. The one night we ate at the dinner buffet, the food was pretty good, nothing to write home about but I would have eaten there again for the sake of convenience after a long day in the sun. There is a supermarket very close by and a pharmacy which are convenient. The ONLY downfall with this hotel is that it is VERY far from Pelourinho/Rio Vermelho which are the main areas to hang out and things we wanted to see. Otherwise, loved the hotel and WILL return!

O hotel beira a excelência. Todos os consumos dentro do hotel devem ser pagos no mesmo dia. O único ponto fraco é que o hotel está numa praia com bastantes pedras dificultando um mergulho mais suave. Tive receio de cortar os meus pés tentando avançar um pouquinho mais além da areia. Água do mar com um pouco de poluição. Mesmo assim recomendo pois a estrutura do hotel compensa. Café da manhã excelente, praticamente, se ele quiser, o hóspede quase que almoça apenas com café da manhã. Piscinas excelentes. Há um mercado que dista 500 metros do hotel.

O ambiente de um modo geral, é incrível. Paisagem, praia, a localizacão é perfeita. O que peca o hotel:
- acomodações, elevadores, área comum, precisam de uma modernização;
- áreas comuns sujas, falta um capricho nos pisos e escadas;
- equipe de funcionários não atende as expectativas, qualquer pedido extra, desde uma água quente para a térmica, não gostam;
- baby copa muito suja e aparência de “abandonada”;
- estávamos com nossa bebê de 8 meses, e no checkin nos ofereceram legumes e frutas, a qualquer hora do dia, era somente requisitar ao restaurante. Achamos ótimo, porém, na prática não é assim. Cada pedido era um sacrifício para a equipe do restaurante, que, ou negava, ou dizia que tinha que ser pedido com antecedência. E, pedindo com antecedência, “esqueciam” de fazer, novamente passando por muitos constrangimentos ao pedir. Isso realmente foi muito chato.
A sugestão é que não seja ofertado aos pais, evitando-se esses problemas e falsa expectativa.

Hotel bom, mas o consumo do bar está com preços exorbitantes. Um coco a 12 reais, impraticável. Em frente ao hotel o coco custa a metade, 06 reais. Tanto que poucos hóspedes consumiam.Os animadores ficavam no máximo 01 hora por turno.

Foi uma grande decepção levando em conta a expectativa e valor pago. Reservei de última hora (no dia pela manhã) para comemorar o aniversário da minha filha pequena. No entanto, mesmo chegando cedo para o check-in, o processo demorou bastante devido a grande fila. Perdemos parte da diária aguardando o check-in. Para completar, a equipe nem tinha o registro da minha reserva, pois disseram que o setor de reservas não estava funcionando, então, eu tive que enviar todos os comprovantes de reserva e pagamento da plataforma. Havia uma gerente na recepção e ela reiterou o pedido, ainda sugeriram que eu teria que pagar novamente por não haver comprovação. Por fim, poucas horas após o check-in já deixaram uma mensagem embaixo da porta do quarto (por volta das 20h) alertando que eu deveria sair no outro dia impreterivelmente até às 12h do dia seguinte porque eles tinham que receber novos hóspedes. No dia da saída, enquanto tiravamos as malas do quarto, já havia uma camareira na porta aguardando. Fiquei triste de que o aniversário da minha filha tenha sido \"comemorado\" assim.
