Overall the standard of the rooms was not good!
The water pressure in the showers was terrible,the TV remote was not working during our entire stay despite numerous complaints and the changes to the swimming pool area was not mentioned when we booked the hotel.

Over an hour wait for a room , first room was dirty and amenities broken , second room better but still in need of significant at upgrading - carpets dirty , wardrobe door broken. Hotel pool is under renovation , and when weddings are on the outdoor space is taken over completely so you have no outdoor space. The hotel needs an overhaul - it’s tired and shappy

It was not a great experience. I paid for the rating and amenities listed not fake promises. Swimming pool broken, was provided with an extra bed which broke as soon as i sat on it which caused an injury, hotel staff just smiled and changed it. Flies in the breakfast food and it was stale except the dosa being made

Reception staff was not very helpful. I booked a Grande Room for 3 (2 Adult & 1 Child 6 years old) but they only provided me 1 bed. I asked for bed for my child and they said It will cost extra.

They said free welcome drinks but no body asked ir offered any drinks.

AC was not working properly. Had to call reception. Also had a power cut off twice.

Not enough toiletries provided in bathroom. Room was booked for 3 of us but only set of 2 towels, 2 brush etc was left. Only 1 toilet tissue roll that was also half used.

Carper was a bit dirty.

It is an average hotel with less then average service. Wouldn't go again.

I booked three rooms at this hotel from December 25th to 27th, 2024. Although the check-in time was 2 PM, we didn’t receive our rooms until after 3 PM, despite having made the reservation nearly a month in advance. One of the rooms had a persistent, foul smell of stale urine. After speaking with several people at the reception, we were told they couldn’t address the issue immediately and that they could only offer another room the next day. We waited until 1 PM the following day with no updates from the hotel. Eventually, after spending more time at the reception and making repeated requests, we were given another room, but it smelled even worse. When we reported the issue again, the reception staff hung up on us without any response. We were also informed that the General Manager would be available at 3 PM to address our concerns, but when that time came, we were told the GM was too busy and wouldn’t take calls. We were only able to meet the GM the next day, during check-out, after making multiple requests.

In addition to these issues, the refrigerators in the other rooms didn’t work, and there were various other problems. The food at the hotel restaurant was also inedible, and the reception staff showed little to no responsiveness. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great and iconic property . Nice staff. Great view of Juhu beach . Clean rooms. Only one problem - the small back gate to Juhu beach closes at 7 despite there a Gaurd being posted always. They should allow the gate open late too so occupants can take a stroll . This property is medium sized but it’s history associated with Bollywood makes it iconic

Stayed one night while attending an event at the lavish Iskcon (Hare Rama Hare Krishna) temple and doing some shopping before heading back to the States. We chose Sun n Sand because of price (this area is ridiculously overpriced and SNS was reasonable) and its proximity to the temple and the shops and cafes we frequent in Juhu. So glad we did! At this price point it was an excellent choice and we’ll probably book again.

The property is a bit dated but very well maintained and has charm. It’s a beach resort from the Bollywood heyday, and the slightly retro vibe gives it character. The location is amazing— right on Juhu beach with gorgeous views. A short walk, auto, or Uber from everything in the area.

Breakfast was good, though next time I probably won’t include it in our booking only because there are so many other good options in the area.

Only down side was that the shower in one of the rooms (we booked two) seemed to leak some water, soaking the bathmat and making bathroom floor. Didn’t have that problem in the other room we booked, so maybe it was just a fluke.

Overall, a great booking. Highly recommend.

Cracks everywhere on walls and ceilings in room and lack of maintenance even i n the pool wires for lights just floating. We booked a suite for our stay, however the suite next door had parties which ran into the early hours hence no sleep for 3 days!! Hotel did not compensate us on departure as there was no manager on duty yet they had said they would. Also we requested a airport pick up - the driver was there at arrivals took us outside and told us to wait & he went to get his taxi, however he took his taxi to the other side of the airport & left us waiting for over 30 minutes, then he got lost going to the hotel & this journey took over an hour as he was asking for directions, on arrival to the hotel we complained only to be told it was a 3rd party.. Yet the hotel sent this driver to pick us up. We booked a private taxi back to the airport which took a total of 15 minutes!!! I am dissapointed having spent so much money I this hotel we were greeted with this service.

The picture of the room while booking showed 2 twin beds, however, there was only one queen bed and they provided an extra bed. We had to remind the hotel staff numerous times to add that extra bed which they finally arranged at 12:30 am. Hotel walls are so thin and we were constantly disturbed by the loud noises from next room. We asked for an extra blanket as we were 4 of us in a room and they literally provided us with a indian railway blanked. Even the pillow covers were stained. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

I spent a month in India and by far the best place i stayed. Amazing location on Juhu Beach on Arabian Sea. Most hypnotic sunsets you will see. Staff top notch. All of them so kind. Including my server who reserved a table for me each night at sunset by the pool

I have to admit we came a week after flooding in Mumbai, probably not the time for a trip to the beach. The ocean was full of trash washed ashore, nothing the hotel staff could do about. The WLAN was struggling in the beginning but then worked fine eventually. My room was big but next to a huge fan, which made it hard to find sleep. I did not book ocean view which was probably a mistake and I got the view to the parking lot. The restaurants were fine for me and the breakfast had a lot of choices, but I did not have the chance to get a cocktail next to the pool. For me it would have been a better idea to take a airport hotel and do my meetings there.

Mediocre yet has good value if you secure a room atleast $50 cheaper than the hotels in Juhu that would be the Marriot. Much better than the Novotel next door.
The lawn area is sublet to extremely loud functions at night till 10 pm. You really cannot enjoy a quiet sea side evening.
The swimming pool and garden chairs were stained and need to be changed
I did not find the laundered towels to ge crispy.
The breakfast buffet servers were unattentive
Overall mediocre to say the least.
But a good choice considering the choices on Juhu beach, yes book a room, they are large and clean and hygenic with good views.
The property is old so accept that, better than the neighborhood choices. The room realer if cigarette smoke but then in their defense I had not requested a non smoking room.

Though we were told that our room was upgraded from superior to executive but yhe view from the room 310 was the worst anyone can hav ie backside of novotel with all dirty stuff to view.
Room was great though, spacious, bathroom a bit small. Buffet breakfast had many options. Cafe by the poolside with sea breeze was the best.

Nice beach hotel in Juhu area with with great sea views. Nice sized pool. Good breakfast selection but otherwise expensive restaurants for dining or other meals. Restaurant staff could do with some training on how to be attentive to customer needs. Lot of them congregate and chat when they could be discreetly circling to check for empty cups that need refills or plates clearing away. Non smoking room had smoke filtering in. Raised this with front desk and their solution was to offer air freshener. Really? Comfortable beds, lots of electrical outlets, good sized bedroom and bathroom. Water was not draining properly in bathroom and again this was not addressed while i was staying. There seems a preference in India for dark decor which makes rooms quite unfriendly for people with vision issues. this is exacerbated with use of LED lighting. Sun N Sand no different. Would be good if his trend is reversed.
