Great resort for families. The apartment had narrow steep stairs to the main bedroom so not good for elderly people
The pool area doesn’t open u til 9am so you need to queue up from 8:30am to get lounge and umbrella.
The bus into town was handy and only 2euro each - overall a great location for beach and pool activities.

Quiet and relaxing close to Pula

We stayed here for 4 nights whilst exploring Pula and Istria. It was a perfect location and a short bus trip into city centre. Also plenty of parking for our car we hired for trips around Istria. The pool area is lovely with amazing views perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the sites. Plenty of bars and restaurants on the resort to choose from however we opted to venture into Puls which was only 15 minutes by bus away. Would definitely stay again for a holiday on the resort, it was so quiet and relaxing.

The property is set in a very large complex, close to hotels and apartments that were part of the same group. Public buses to Pula, every 20 mins and easy onward transport around the area and to airport.

Pros - pool area clean, cons - quite a few broken sunbeds

Pros - 2 bed, 1 bedroom accommodation had clean showers, water always hot. Cons - no extractor fan and a window, only openable for those 6ft . Stairs to bedroom steep - bathroom downstairs.

Site generally well maintained but some poorly lit stair wells. Enjoyed our stay and the area but chipped crockery and missing kitchen items all contributed to feeling of property being a little tired.

An amazing resort area 10 minutes from old town Pula. We booked an apartment style room which was clean, spacious and all have a balcony. Tons of restaurants, cafes, shops, a grocery store all in short walking distance. Two large pools overlooking the sea with plenty of seating and beautiful walkways and paths to take you to the many beaches.

We were self catering and our accommodation had a bedroom and the sofa in the kitchen/lounge area turned into a bed. There was a balcony too with a view. The kitchen was very well equipped and the bathroom too. The supermarket on the site is handy and very useful. The scenery is fabulous. There are several beach areas to choose from and several cafe restaurants. We did not visit the pools preferring the sea. This was a very clean, quiet (we stayed 1-3 Sept) and relaxed complex that I would recommend.

Lovely weeks stay!

We have just returned home from this hotel and I must say for the price I was really impressed.
The complex is clean and all the staff are friendly. A variety of restaurants but they do all serve similar food but that wasn’t an issue for us. They cater for all tastes even fussy eaters which we needed.
The shop is somewhat expensive but that is to be expected on a complex like this.
The rooms are comfortable and our self catering apartment was well equipped. Cleaning came in every morning.
The stairs are steep so might be difficult for anyone with mobility issues.
No air con in the smaller room but found if my son slept with the door open, and the air con on downstairs then it filtered up to his room adequately. Our balcony was small, others where bigger but again wasn’t an issue for our party.
The pool area is nice, the pool doesn’t feel busy even when all the beds are full.
I’d happily come back here again.

Overall we loved staying here. Really well kept property. Cons: every night bugs appeared coming inside through the window crack and large amount of mouse droppings on the balcony floor and table as a surprise every morning. The kitchen was well equipped. The king size bed was rock hard; wish it had a pad on. The kitchen chairs had metal legs and they were super loud when you moved them… they also stuck out in the back and we kept tripping over them multiple times; almost landed on the floor. There is a grocery store conveniently on the property but prepare to pay inflated prices. Having said all this, I would definitely go back; next time probably would stay in the hotel vs apartments.

The sea is beautiful with areas to sit and sunbathe and a lot of aqua activities for kids and adults a 5 star hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay at Park Plaza Verudela. The staff at reception were extremely accommodating. We asked a lot of questions and they were helpful with information regarding transport and locations. We were given a beautiful room with a pool view, the balcony directly overlooked a green hill with trees. Really calming and serene.

Room service everyday did a quick tidy up of the room. They provide a secure luggage storage facility and luggage drop-off to the rooms.

We went in April and the weather was still too cold for a dip in the outdoor pool though it was beautiful to walk by. There’s access to a rocky beach from within the resort with stunning views.

We stayed in a studio apartment. Size was good, very clean, and small kitchenette functional with the necessary utensils.

Sofa bed was very pointless, super comfy, much more than anticipated but you couldn’t fold it away…. And why would you? Just put a proper bed in! Good shower.

Rooms cleaned daily but no replenished amenities e.g shampoo, moisturiser etc.

No iron in room despite website clearly stating there was. Was told at reception this is for safety- that’s a joke, every hotel I’ve ever been to has an iron in the room! Must be for insurance… no communal ironing room. They wanted nearly €3 per shirt to iron. Rip off.

Lovely resort feel with 3 hotels, sculpted grounds to walk around and some great sunset view points but evening entertainment severely lacking. There was barely anything and the whole place went quite approx 10pm. Nothing to do. Only places to go were the hotels and these were very expensive to drink in! €12 a cocktail! Ouch.

Sunbeds we’re free to use but if you wanted one of the nice loungers by the sea, that was €20 per day for 2 people! Worth it a few days but cost soon adds up.

Even the kids slide you had to pay for! Just felt like every opportunity to take money from you they would!

Evening entertainment severely lacking, nothing advertised, if you were lucky you might catch a pianist or a band in one of the hotels but you’d just have to stumble across it.

Very few affordable eating and drinking spots across the resort.

Extremely polite and professional staff. Bus only a 5 minute walk from hotel complex into the centre of Pula and only around €1 each way. Definitely recommend for a stay in Pula!

Downsides, Everything on site costs additional to use, i.e Tennis Courts cost 90 Kuna / hour, water slide costs 45Kuna etc. Like most resorts you will always get the party animals keeping you up at night. Reception are good and have a low tolerance for noise at night, so they will assist.

Accommodation was practical, we paid 150gbp / night for a 2 Bed, 2Bath apartment end of season. I would not pay any more as it was rather basic, but served its purpose for us.

For your airport transfer book it through the hotel, they were really good and cheaper than most local providers.
Overall lovely accommodation and resort.

Hôtel is placed in heart of Verudela and surrounded by the beaches with good restaurants.
You can get to hotel by city bus 3A or 2A.

Breakfasts are great and cost 8€ per person. Great choice of hot dishes, vegetables, fruits, pastry. They even have a non lactose milk like rice, hazelnut or almond. Unfortunately if you would like to have a breakfasts on terrace you will be greeted by a huge number of wasps.

Had a lovely holiday in this very pretty spot. The apartment that we had booked was not where we would have wanted to spend a week. Rather small and although there was a sea view most of the view was of another block of apartments. However we paid a little extra and moved to a deluxe apartment which was much better. One thing to note is that there are trees, very attractive, but they do block the view of the sea. There is also a problem with the terrace design as each has a wall, rather than railings, so it is difficult to enjoy the view when you are seated. As the resort was relatively quiet there was no problem with sun beds on the grass areas and by the pools. However, note that beds on the sea side of the coast path are charged for. We had a number of lovely meals at the Yacht Club. The view is beautiful, food of very good quality and the staff simply charming. We loved eating there. Thank you staff so professional and friendly.

I can kind of understand being charged to sit on the beach beds as they are a good quality but still a rip off as you’ve paid for the hotel.

As others have said previously, it’s Centre Parcs by the sea. There are lots of beaches on the peninsula, but one that is far better than all the others and is a 10-12 minute walk from Reception. It has all the other facilities; water sports & inflatables, but is boosted by the fact it has a jumping platform into the water (ideal for teens) a lovely beach bar with chilled music and a really good fast-food shack, which is vegetarian friendly. Their classic cheese burger was the favourite in our group of 12.

We had a great time at the Park Plaza Verudela. Apartment (2 bed rooms) was very comfortable and spacious.
There are loads of activities to do within and around the hotel complex. We did scuba diving, paddle boarding, tennis, Segway.

One comment for the hotel: It's great that you can use card payments in bars/restaurant etc, but it would be even better if you could enable guests to leave a tip when paying by card.

almost everything is very good, the room, the atmosphere, the restaurants, the views, the pools and beach, the parking....the whole village is wonderful....more beautiful than the pictures.
the only thing that was negative is the lack of about 20% (!) of seats at the pool. you have to get to the pool at 9 sharp to save seats/beds. second - they charge for every seat at the pool (!) and you have to bring the towels from home or from the room. they also charge the guest for using the sports center facilities....

Beautiful pool and beach area. Our room was clean but spartan. We had a 1 bedroom but the bedroom was up an incredibly steep staircase and the bathroom was downstairs. The kitchen was so small we kept setting off the stove alarm because there was no other space to put food or plates. The balcony had a nice view but the AC compressor was out there so it was not pleasant to be outside if my husband was inside with AC on. It would be ok for a basic place to stay, but I wish I had booked the hotel next door.

We did not have the best experience, we have a 3 and 1 yr old and were put in a mezzaine apartment on the third floor (stairs only). I booked this place because of the layout of the one bed chalet on the website which i thought looked great for our family but what we had did not suit our needs. The sofa bed was downstairs and main bedroom upstairs. the stairs were very steep so the children could not sleep downstairs incase they woke up in the night and tried to get up them, so we had to make a bed up on the floor in our room. We could not let the children go out on the balcony from fear of the children climbing up up. The apartment did not work for us at all and made our stay hardwork.

The staff both at verudela reception, park placa reception bar staff resteraunt staff were amazing. They could not have done more for you !
The only issue we had was noise. We stayed in cedar and the corridors were so noisy with kids screaming. You could hear every noise outside the patio. We had a studio which was big enough. Bed was comfortable and clean.
Complimentary shampoo and shower gel provided on arrival but were not replaced.
Pools were clean and kept tidy.

We were offered immediately by the staff a change of room if we were unable to use stairs, but it wasn’t a problem, just a little awkward with suitcases. Beautiful place.

Stayed for 3 nights in early May, in a studio balcony room with a foldout sofa. We were located in the Cedar block. The sofa bed was super comfortable - it had a lovely memory foam mattress! Apartment was clean and had all of the necessities. Perfect for a weekend getaway! The only thing I would comment on is the noise factor. Both the apartment and corridor floors are tiled - so everything echos, and we could hear every bit of noise outside our apartment. It didn’t really bother us however if you were a light sleeper - this could be an Issue. The resort is fantastic, lots of places to dine at (reasonably priced too), and lots of things to see! We didn’t use the sports centre however there is lots to do there, and the beaches nearby are gorgeous!!!! The taxi from the airport is roughly 200-250 kuna. Do not rely on Uber - we saw some people recommending Uber’s however there were no cars available when we were there so had to catch a taxi - which I thought was slightly overpriced considering the small distance travelled. Perhaps arrange a transfer prior to arriving. There is also a bus which goes to and from the city which stops outside the resort. For 2 adults it was 22 kuna total, per direction. We also made use of the indoor pool which was located in the Histria Hotel, however you did have to pay for this (80kuna for 2 adults I think). Highly recommend this property!!!

There were very many sports clubs at the property. Many kids meant that it was often loud outside during the day. It also seems as if everything revolves around tennis. I didn’t like that I had to pay extra to use the gym and indoor pool. The hotel’s facilities as such were good. The bus connection to the airport was poor.

Fantastic complex,ideally situated

Park Plaza is a huge complex,we booked a two bedroom apartment and unfortunately you do not know till you arrive whereabouts on the complex you will be located,however although we were very central with neither sea nor park views we were very happy with our accomodation.
The apartments are very comfortable and clean and ideal to use as a base to explore the complex and the surrounding area,the staff are very helpful and friendly and the facilities are great,the grounds are so beautifully kept that you could easily stay within the complex without venturing out and have a great holiday just enjoying the scenery,the coast is stunning with crystal clear waters,we had a terrific time snorkelling and swimming among the shoals of fish,although I'm not a sunbather they are certainly catered for with beds everywhere although I believe there is an extra charge for some of them.
Alert!,the water slide is not free!,the charge was pretty minimal for three go's but can't remember exactly how much,also you will be charged tourist tax when booking in at reception,and the inflatable water park isn't free either.
There are some lovely shops on site and a small supermarket but only 2 washing machines,I would recommend getting there early!.The restaurants are good and reasonably priced (although being a vegetarian the choice was quite limited),there is free entertainment in the evenings and plenty for the kids to do.I recommend buying swim shoes for being on the beach your feet will thank you!

A nice hotel tucked away on a peninsula near Pula. A couple of local restaurants reasonably priced, otherwise a short bus ride into Pula for more choice. Buses to Pula were very frequent during the summer, every 20 minutes at 11 kuna each (small children free).
Supermarket on site was well stocked but we did find cheaper products in the Pula supermarkets. Fresh bread was available but you had to get there early otherwise choice was limited.
Pool slide was great for our young children. The kids club was also very good and staff were enthusiastic. We spent a lot of our time on the beach and enjoyed swimming in the sea.
We were located on the third floor which was fine for us but there were not any elevators.

Fun and loads of activities

Good resort with a lot of activities and dive centre in site.
Kids loved the beach and the swimming pool (sea water)
Small grocery on site with all the necessary.
Reception staff could be friendlier
The biggest annoyance is the sun bed reservation process which includes queueing up in the morning, paying.... On the beaches. The sun beds take all the space. Leaving a cramped space to the others.
So quite annoying!!

Great location and hotel amenities for kids, some staff such as front desk were helpful and kind, other staff seemed as if they could care less. Many businesses in the Verudela complex had extremely rude staff members. The rooms are awful, beds are uncomfortable and there are not even base amenities such as room service.

Great hotel , friendly staff only downfall , no entertainment?and the bar shuts at 11pm on the dot ?!But that was the only negative, the room was clean , comfortable and modern ..... at the poolside restaurant the staff were 1st class ... so helpful . Would definitely come back .... Pula was a beautiful place to visit . X

Spent 14 nights. Comfortable, clean. Lots to do. Great Location. Store, restaurant onsite. Staff was very helpful. The only thing I would say is that there are NO elevators. My friend couldn't do the 52 steps so we had to get our room changed to the first floor. There was no issue changing but if you aren't able to do lots of steps make sure you tell them when you make your reservation. They cater to families with activities for children. I would stay there again.

Amazing, but please get rid of the sofa beds!

Everything apart from the sofa bed was absolutely amazing. We were really happy to stay in a studio apartment. However, the uncomfortable sofa bed should be replaced with a normal one. There is no point in having a sofa in the studio apartment anyway...

Awesome place for families

Definitely a great place to go with kids, the kids-club staff were just fantastic, they made a great job with the kids and the kids loved them :-). We could leave our kids with the kids-club staff for a few hours some days and get relaxed my wife and myself. Totally recommended!

Nice balcony with beautiful views

We opted for a premium apartment as we wanted a balcony with a sea view and it was certainly worth the money. The apartment itself was spacious, clean and comfortable and met all our needs. I wouldn't recommend this room if you have any mobility issues as the staircase to the bedroom was very steep and the only toilet was on the lower floor - not a trip I would have liked to have made in the middle of the night. The resort had several restaurants and a supermarket, as well as a swimming pool and tennis courts. Staff were really helpful and friendly. The hotel forms part of a large complex of hotels and apartments so has a holiday village feel to it. There are a number of other restaurants within walking distance so there was plenty of choice for dinner.

Beautiful resort with stunning views

Amazing resort, great staff. Our apartment in Park Plaza Verudela was great and modern with a large balcony overlooking the beach and we couldn’t fault it. Pools were of a great size, and the beaches are beautiful! Would recommend to everyone!

Good complex close to the sea

Overall very good but to obtain this we had to change apartments, we had the refrigerator repair team visit four time in two days to the first apartment before the move. Other than that everything else was first class food, location and the staff in all areas reception, restaurants and even the repair team who always said hello as we saw them around doing their work.

We booked one of the cheapest apartments and had to upgrade on the spot for about 110 euros. The upgrade was well worth it as we got an extra bedroom (albeit very small) and a REAL bad. The first place had only a sofa bed and was not too comfortable.

There are too few sunbeds at the pools and people are queuing 45 minutes before the pool opens to get a seat. Add rude people who refuse to que and fights at the pool door are not far away. Hotel staff need to be on hand or things will eventually get out of hand.

Expensive room, lovely resort

Fantastic venue, really relaxed atmosphere with a beautiful location and loads of activities. Rooms are very over priced and lacked basics like not enough glasses, no bowls for breakfast etc. Also very annoying to be charged for use of sunbeds as a resident, have never experienced that before and just created a penny pinching feeling. Nice restaurants nearby that are reasonably priced.

Good, modern hotel with a great view of the sea

The actual hotel is lovely and clean. Although there is a sofa bed in the studios, it was a very comfortable sofa bed with a thick mattress and I had no problems with it. The complex is really great, a few eating places and the pool is very picturesque, although very cold water! The only downfall in the complex was the buffet dinner which I was let down by, but after the first night of eating there, we just ate elsewhere and the other places were great. It is a bus ride away from the city, which is a little annoying as for most activities you have to travel. Staff at reception speak great English and we're so helpful! Overall for a nice relaxing holiday it's a lovely hotel.

Beautiful property by the Adriatic

Amazing location by the sea and gorgeous view of the Adriatic Sea just steps from our door. Large pools and sun bathing areas though a bit cold in Oct to swim. Our one bedroom apartment was spacious and kitchen well equipped. About a 10min drive from the main town centre of Pula so a car is needed to stay at this property and get around.

Brilliant hotel, one of the best!

Cannot fault this hotel in any way. Location and views over the Adriatic are sublime. Our room was spotlessly clean, modern and functional. The staff were a delight, nothing was too much trouble, the fact that everybody spoke English was a huge bonus, unlike us lazy Brits.

Great place, but no bed for sleeping well

Great place for a family holiday with a lot of avtivitirs wihtin a short distance. Clean place, good service and friendly staff.only one thing which needs to be better; the bed. In the studio apartments they had put in vamping bet, very inconveniable. If the fix this and pit in ordinary beds, we will consuder to teturn.
