This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel, the rooms are very large with a separate sitting and dining area. In fact on our first night, friends who live local arrived unexpectedly and we had drinks and a meal using the dining area. We will without doubt be looking to use this hotel when we return later this year.
Definitely worth a try and the prices per night are unbeatable, this will undoubtedly change in the next few years once the ongoing sky train opens

Cockroaches in the rooms and common areas. Washrooms were terrible and did not have hand soap and additional toilet paper. Requested for an extra pillow and they were asking for a fee of 200baht/night for it. On our second day, went for breakfast at 8:00AM and the kitchen was not even open. Most staffs only spoke Thai and almost no English.

Staff are friendly, pleasant and obliging. The morning breakfast was a nice experience. Ambience is fantastic. The surroundings are very nicely done. The lobby is a great place to chill out with the sound of running water and occasional nearby traffic.

Furniture is not exactly kid-friendly, since there are sharp corners. But it's tastefully done, and the bamboo furniture on the balcony is a nice touch.

Could have done better with the toiletries. No toothbrushes provided. But it's not a big deal, since there's a 7-11 next door where we can get whatever we need.

All in all, it's a very nice getaway for two,

I was only there for one night but I was impressed enough to say I would come back. The Hotel is well looked after and the room was nice and clean plus it was a good size. I stupidly put an old padlock on my case and of course didn't have a key. Up came one of the Ladies with a hacksaw and between us we got the case opened. There is not much to do in the are and I used it purely because it isn't that far from the Airport. Breakfast was not a buffet but you order from a list and it was ok.

Shower was leaking from bathtub to floor and made entire bathroom wet.
Toilet bowl didn't flush properly.
Housekeeper did not replenish tissue box or bath towels.
After my room service meal, I was told there is no more housekeeping service after 10pm to clear the plates from the room. There was tray for us to place plates and leave outside either.
Buffet breakfast was pathetic.

We needed to stay 2 nights in Bangkok before we fly out. Had to check out after one night of stay out of 2 nights charged. Booked it because it was cheap and was advertised to be close to BKK airport which is not true. The hotel is really run down and not well maintained. The breakfast selection is the worst I have seen. Does not worth the cheap value at all. You are better off to look for a hostel accommodation if you are looking for a cheap hotel room. They refused to refund us the remaining one night but the hotel was really bad enough that we had to walk away from it and book another hotel somewhere else for a little more. Absolutely will not recommend it unless you have something to do in Minburi Bangkok area and looking for a night stay and don't mind a little filthy place

Small resort like setting property. Not too far from airport. Staff cordial. Stayed in the family suite with 2 interconnecting rooms with 2 bathrooms for easy convenience when traveling with kids. The hotel is showing some wear and tear and needs upgrading. Lacking professional housekeeping. The elevator door closes too fast and is a safety concern. Across from the road facing rooms is a private home with lots of birds that make a dusturbing din all day long. Breakfast needs improvement. Good short stay for the money. Will recommend to flight connectors only as the hotel is too far from any entertainment or shopping malls.

Great place to unwind near BKK & DMK airports

My 2nd stay at this hotel. I really like this place! 1st time I stayed 1 night prior to departing back to home. I liked it so much I booked here again for 3 nights after a week in China while in transition to Phuket. Nothing touristy here - that's the beauty of it. Nice quiet working class neighborhood with fantastic food market street and various food stalls all around, plus laundry service and convenience stores. Easy walk to floating market and temple complex. I am very glad I stayed here during this trip! The staff provided excellent service. Very professional and friendly. I will definitely stay here again.

Good for airport access

Good hotel for getting to and from the airport, but a bad location for anything other than an airport transfer. Located about a 1 hour drive from the city with regular traffic, getting away from the hotel is a hassle. Although there is a large food market 400 meters away offering very cheap street food with a large variety.

The hotel room was nice and large, it had a patio and air conditioning, but the bathroom was a little dirty which was accompanied by a strange smell.

Hotel staff are nice and accommodating, but again due to location they can't offer you anything to do other than the 1 hour taxi ride.

We have stayed here on previous occasions & when leaving Thailand this last trip we had some errands to complete in the Soi 164-166 region & this is easily the hotel of choice in this area.
The staff is super friendly & helpful, easily among the best anywhere in Bangkok. We really enjoy the layout of the end rooms with the double balcony. The suite style amenities, comfortable bed, table/chairs, couch etc all make for an extremely comfortable stay. We love it & will certainly return if the opportunity presents itself. We also got a nice ride to the airport for our trip to Canada.

Spacious hotel with airport shuttle

The hotel is not close to the centre of Bangkok but is very convenient for people travelling to and from Suvarnabhumi airport as there is an airport shuttle. The family room we had was huge, clean and super comfortable with a fridge, microwave and sink. You can even have a massage in your room! The pool looked clean, although we didn't use it during our stay. Wifi connectivity was good in the lobby but not so great in the rooms. Would recommend this hotel for those needing easy access to the airport.

I stayed 8 nights at when pulling in I was a little suspect to the area but it was a great place to stay. The breakfast was good everyday and would cook you scrambled eggs or such of your liking. The bed was very comfy and clean. The room itself was very spacious with a table, couch, bed, and desk area. If I come back to east side of Bangkok again I would definitely look to stay there again.

The room was huge and there is a really nice floating market with no westerners if you have some time to explore the surroundings. I recommend it

Large room with basic inventory and a bit aged already for a 4 Star standard (TV must be 20 years plus age). Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is in a side street of Ramkamhaeng but with quite some traffic in the morning so expect some noise. Breakfast is OK but not as good as in most other 4 Star hotels I stayed.

I stayed here for 10 days while I was studying at a nearby school. Staff were very kind and friendly and made accommodations to various random requests. It is a bit far from downtown if that is what you are looking for. However, it is a nice taste of a more local and traditional Thai neighborhood. There are a few markets and there is a local nightclub with live music about 15 minute walk away. Only thing that needs improvement was that the wifi was spotty at times. I just walked close to the front door of the room and then didn't have issues.

One Night.

Of note, the property sits next to some sort of zoo or aviary and there were very noisy birds squawking and screeching all evening and can be heard from some rooms. My room was on the top floor and was very quiet and had a great view of the sunset. I Stayed one night at this hotel hoping to take the property's airport transfer bus to my Air Asia flight out of DMK airport in the early morning. The hotel is awesome in comfort and appearance but was quite far from the Bangkok airports, both BKK and DMK, The staff informed me that their shuttle only went to BKK. But they arranged a taxi for my early departure and quoted me 200-300 baht to pay the driver. Make sure you get an exact price before you set out in the cab with the driver though. I wish there was this nice of hotel in a more convenient place for the same price, but overall a very nice property and good for a one night stay.

....unfortunately in the middle of nowhere. It is about 20-25 minutes to the airport in low traffic conditions & quite a long way out from the city (airport takes 2 hours + in traffic from the city). That said the apartment and service is good so works for an overnight stay; if you had your own transport it would be even better.

The reason I stayed here was due to the fact that it is near Siam City Park. I am no expert in Bangkok geography but I think it is located in the middle of nowhere. But if you want a hotel near Siam City Park, this is it. You need a car though.

The room is massive and the facilities ridiculously unbelievable. It is like a full fledged apartment. Awesome!

We stayed at this hotel the night before we headed out to Dubai, so we were only in the hotel itself for about 12 hours. However, we were very impressed. We arrived fairly lat at night with two very tired and cranky kids (ages 1 yr and 4 yrs). When we got to the desk to check in, we realized that my husband had accidentally booked for the following night, which meant there was not a reservation for that night. Thankfully, they had a room for us and were kind enough to cancel our reservation for the following night and even give us the same rate that we'd paid online! We were so impressed by their service, attentiveness, and overall kindness to us. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was super comfortable and our 4 year old was able to sleep on the couch. We woke up ready and refreshed for our flight the next morning! Breakfast was simple, but it was a good facility with a little bit of something for everyone.

The hotel is true to the photos -- gorgeous, large rooms and a fair sized pool. Everything was really clean and new, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as easy as possible. The restaurant food was quite tasty, too. The location is a quick taxi ride to the Big C and Tesco shopping areas nearby.

The hotel is nice realy spacious room with kitchet, dinning ang comfy coch for guests..kinda like a mini studio type apartment.... Its very far from shopping areas though...they should also have a driver that speaks good english. Other staff are able to converse english...so thats fine.

I wouldn't stay again even for a few hours

I decided to stay here because of the price and it said it had free shuttle from airport and 15 minutes from airport. Well I booked a room and called to make sure the shuttle would be there when I arrived and the lady at who answered the phone didn't speak any English and said there was no one around who did. So when I arrive the shuttle wasn't there. Ended up taking a taxi and once I get there the guy at the desk is looking at me saying did I have a reservation and I showed him my confirmation on my phone. He looks at it and then writes the confirmation # down and proceeds to give me a room and sets up the shuttle for the next morning. Room was ok and bed was super hard, they have free water in the room but it was in glass bottles and looked like they had just been rebottled so I didn't try that water. So this is suppose to be a non smoking hotel and at the front desk they even have a award to be being a Healthy and non smoking hotel, well not true. I was sitting in my room in the morning and all of sudden I begin to smell cigarette smoke and I think it will go away but it only gets stronger and figure out its coming though the air conditioning unit, so I turn off the unit. I then proceed downstairs to check out and get the shuttle and the lady at the front desk says that she doesn't have time so she is going to call me a taxi and pay for the taxi, better pay for taxi since I paid for a free shuttle but ended up not having one. I wouldn't stay here ever again.

Very nice hotel with great service and amenities

Free airport shuttle to hotel takes about 15-20 minutes, be sure to inform hotel prior to arrival of flight details so as not to have to wait too long. Hotel is quite new or newly renovated, the bedroom is spacious, clean and nicer than many if not most other hotels of the same star level. The location is in a typical local neighborhood but not far from center of Bangkok by taxi. Hotel staff is very nice and eager to assist guests. The pool and gym are small but nice and sufficient. Business center offers free internet/computer access. There is also a medium size boardroom for meetings. Highly recommended.

This little boutique hotel is very nice. My room was spacious and clean. It had a king size bed, a kitchen and dining area and a large bathroom. Most staff spoke English and were very helpful. The hotel lobby and dining room is open air. It only has walls on two sides. The security guard even rode a bike down the small street on which the hotel is located to fetch me a taxi. Unfortunately, the hotel is located in Min-buri, which is a residential area far from the business district and tourists sites. I would stay here again and recommend the hotel to others.

We stayed here so that we could house hunt in the local area, as we're moving to teach at an international school nearby. The School had put us up in a Kantary hotel for twice this price 3km away, for 2 nights while we house hunted. The house hunting took a little longer than we thought so we checked into this less expensive hotel nearer to the school & housing district. The room was great and just as high specc'd and well furnished as the Kantary hotel (apart from no hair-dryer). The manager was friendly, spoke good English and collected us from the other hotel for free. I'm recommending this to my parents and friends as a place to stay when they visit us as it's just a few roads from our new home. Great location for airport stop overs, or house hunting. Not much else entertaining nearby, although a few streets away is an ex-pat area, to walk to and as always plenty of 7/11's nearby too.

Nice Hotel - Poor Location

Very comfortable and only half an hour from airport (on a good traffic day). Staff very friendly and helpful, and food is fine.

The location is not brilliant, as it appears to be surrounded by almost slum type areas. However, if you walk through this you come across a magnificent street market where you will find virtually every type of food on sale - including fresh vegetables, meats, fish, and cooked local ethnic style as well (along with all sorts of clothing, dvd's,etc).

To be honest, this hotel is really great for just the one night airport stopover, as it included breakfast and FREE transfers to/from airport. Great value at less than £40 GBP.

Good First Impression

When i first arrived i was very inpressed. But there was no hot water maker our complimentary coffee/tea. No slippers or bathrobe and when i got up at 5:00 am the walkways were not lite. The staff had lots of problems with Engliah.

Excellent room and breakfast

As others said, this is at least 20 minutes from the airport but the room was marvelous - large (kitchen/dining, lounge, bed, desk areas). Breakfast was also very nice in lobby restaurant. So excellent for break between flights, but travel into Bangkok not simple. Our bathroom only got slightly warm water on our visit.

Comfortable an Happy Stay

My short stay here was very pleasurable. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The hotel was cleaned to very high standards - in fact I've never come across such a well kept and clean hotel before.

I choose this hotel for my two nights lay over in BKK. I didn't wish to be 'under' the airport, but found the hotel was conveniently only 15 mins away from the international airport.

Very much enjoyed my short stay here and will reccomend and stay here again on my return to BKK.

Very weird location !!!

Our need was 1 night, basic and clean accomodation in a hotel which is close to the Airport. We had a big dissapointment :
- The hotel was not so close to the airport (min 30-45 mins by taxi) and it was in a weird area. Even the taxi drivers struggled to find the place and also we needed to convince them there is a hotel in this area....
- It is in ghetto area !!! We didnot experience any security issue, but also we didn't prefer to open the curtains of windows......
- Rooms were big and clean, but the hotel building was very old and swimming pool was useless.
- Staff was very friendly, but since their english was limited their help was also limited.

Great for overnight stay

We have now stayed twice at Siam Piman when needing overnight accommodation not too far from the airport. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. We love the design and ambience of the place and the staff are friendly and very helpful. The nearby foodcourt (really two streets with lots of food outlets) is great: we didn't see other tourists there so there is a good sense of 'local'.

a one-night stay, waiting for a connecting flight.

As mentioned by previous reviewers, calling this an airport hotel is a bit of a misnomer. The drive is a good 20 minutes, however, this is mitigated by the fact that the driver from the hotel showed up on time and proved to be an excellent driver.
The hotel was clean and although they attempted to charge me $10.00 for using a cold bottle of water from the mini-fridge - rather than what they said was the free water on top of the fridge, and also charging for the airport transfer- in spite of the web site clearly saying it was free, the manager listened to my complaints and we were able to come to a mutually agreeable accomodation.
