What a place to stay! Away from the carnage of bangkok this hotel is so peacful, lovely garden, swimming pool with sun all day. Also you have to explore the national park that is directly behind the hotel. When i come back i will be staying here again.

Amazing spot! I was growing leery on the taxi ride to the hotel but upon arrival I was very pleased! Beautifully maintained urban oasis! There’s a vibrant and busy city park right next door and it’s in the middle of a blue-collar Bangkok neighborhood. No glitz or glamour within walking distance but it truly is a peaceful spot to recharge or get acclimated to the new time zone! I’m a frequent visitor to Bkk and I have just found my new, regular landing spot!

Wonderful stay. Super comfy. Great staff. Rooster crowed during the day, didn't bother me. Nice natural surroundings, and great price. Close to airport. 20 min Grab ride not expensive and quick shot to airport. But check traffic for time of day.

This is a very good low cost hotel. Staff is helpful and on duty 24/7. I like the park location as it provides a view and place to exercise in the city. There are few amenities like breakfast and a gym. There is coffee and a pool. The main street has plenty of street food and there is a big open air market a block away.

Love this little hotel!! Super small and cute and perfect for a few nights stay. I didn’t run into any issues at all. It does sit in a sort of run down part of the city but I kinda liked it and was fine to venture out for food. I went to zano cafe not but about a mile away and that was the best! Good options to eat around the hotel!

Over all, the place is good for what you pay for. Our flight landed at 2am we just needed a place to stay for few hours till we go to our next hotel. Front desk lady was very nice and friendly and helpful, place is very basic, but I only paid $28 a night so can't complaint, there's really close by local super market that sells really cheap authentic Thai food.

Super hotel. Ultra clean. The only noise is the rooster and frogs. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Nice park next to the hotel. Best price.

Minor cons: Because of the shower design, the bathroom floor was always all wet after a shower. They should keep an extra roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. The beds are not as soft as I like. Although the location was perfect for me and its close to the airport, its far from the main tourism and business areas.

Really great stay here in the country-side. I was on the 3rd floor balcony overlooking the park and lake. This place had all I was looking for, fridge, laundry service, fast WiFi, great and helpful staff. The cleaning staff were courteous to see I was working a lot in the room so they let me do so and would clean my room only in my convenience, so not to disturb me, which I thought was nice and professional. 7-11 is close by and a lot of Thai food in the area. An all you can ear is a ten minute walk, train in lat Krabang is about 70 baht away, so was convenient to go downtown if needed. Overall I had a great time here with my wife, and would definitely recommend.

Used as a stopover as close to the airport. Met by a friendly receptionist and given a choice of rooms. No restaurant, but close to local shops. Room basic, but clean. No shuttle, but arranged a taxi, which arrived bang on time. 135 baht to airport, no congestion issues for me.

Modern but Nature-Friendly Place

We really enjoyed our stay. The place is very relaxing and eco-friendly. There's a good view of Suphan lake by the balcony. You can even see it up close through the back gate. There is also a night market and some restaurants you can check out at night after a long day's tour trip in the city proper.

The facilities are very modern and clean. The staff are friendly. It's a bonus that one of the front desk employee is a Filipino as well so it's easier to communicate.

Transportation options are plenty - train, songthaew - a jeep/pickup PUV, and taxi - there's Grab/Uber and you can use the same app. Just ask the staff to write down places you need to visit in Thai language so it's easier for drivers to find it (in case you'll board a taxi). It's also close to the BKK airport.

Cheap Transit Hotel Close Enough to Airport

Of no fault to the hotel, our cabbie (should have taken Uber) would not follow his GPS and went his way into pretty bad traffic. It took almost an hour to go 20 minutes under normal directions. Still stupid cheap because taxis are so cheap, but we will take Uber next time. The hotel is like many of the airport hotel close as the crow flies but farther than you would think to drive.

Once we got to the hotel, the staff was waiting and very fast getting us checked in. They were also accommodating to our needs to leave early the next morning.

There is no onsite bar or restaurant so we needed to walk to the local \"market\" area. The choices were fairly limited and closed pretty early for Thailand standards.

The best part about the hotel was that is was right next to a beautiful park. I was able to go jogging each morning. I also had my laundry cleaned at the hotel and it was 10 baht per piece and they deliver it back to your room when it is done.

The room was clean and the service was good, but everything was kind of old and worn.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay and the people there were very nice.

Neat little place close to airport.

Wow, this is a great little hotel even if you paid 1000 Baht (or more), but you only have to pay half that. Very clean and great little outdoor water garden in courtyard. Fancy, newer bathroom fixtures and comfortable beds. Super nice and helpful staff. Keep your front door open only for as long as it takes to go in and out since there are a lot of mosquitoes in the area (due to proximity to lake I suppose) and they will invite themselves in immediately. I would suggest giving the cab driver the phone number to the hotel and have him call them first since it is a little bit tucked away off the main roads. I stayed here to be close to the airport and it was perfect. I will come here the next time I fly into Bangkok and need to stay close to airport.

Excellent value, reasonably close to the airport, but don't expect 5*. Room big, fairly new. All OK but no room phone, so long walk to get attention. No restaurant, but good street food nearby. Don't bother with breakfast, but do take the transfer service they offer. Makes life easier when you arrive after a flight.

Friendly airport close to airport

This hotel is conveniently placed just 20 minutes by Taxi (under 100 baht) to the airport. The rooms are big. The bed was a little hard for our taste.

What makes this hotel is the friendly staff. They were welcoming and helpful at all times.

The hotel is on a 'normal' residential street which makes it hard for Taxi drivers to find. Just use Google Maps to guide them, or get them to call the hotel.

Nearby you can find a small market where plenty of street food is available. There are also several 7-elevens within walking distance.

The hotel backs onto a nice park with playgrounds and outdoor gym. This does mean there are a lot of mosquito's in the evening.

All in all a good hotel if you want to stay for a night or 2 near the airport.

We did book this Hotel to be close to Airport avoiding possible morning traffic. Nice and uncomplicated check In, friendly staff and parking available. Internet access been ok. Great stay with clean room but WIF is very weak!

Great stay with clean rooms, friendly, and helpful staff. WIFI is very weak here. We can barely use the internet on the 2nd floor. Location is good and quiet. There is 2 SevTen Eleven close by and a good local market to buy food & fruits. We bought cheap & good fruits at the local market. Loved this cute local market. This location is great as it is only 15-20 minutes drive to the Suvarnabhumi Airport. The taxi called by our hotel only costed around $115 BAHT total. Beds were a bit hard and can be more modern. We are more used to newer and more modern hotels with softer, more comfy beds. Hotel gave us free water which is great.

I'm actually OK with everything except the taxi

I needed one night stay near BKK airport and actually just needed a bed to sleep well. So I checked in late and didn't care about the yard, pool or decoration. I will just list the main point
The reception was helpful
AC, shower etc worked really well

Overall clean
The only thing I don't like is the taxi driver they found for me. Trying to fraud, bad attitude, asking for more money than the meter. I don't know if every taxi driver is like that but for me I don't like it.

It was a quaint hotel that was situated behind a very large clean lake where people could run, bike, exercise, and kids could play on the playground. It does close at night. The hotel was nicely located in the suburbs and it was hard for our taxi driver to find at first though. It was tuckrd behind houses in the way back. He had to stop and call the hotel many times for directions, but he did get us there. It was a $26 taxi fare from our hotel downtown bc we had a 6AM flight outbound back home to the States the next morning; therefore we needed an airport hotel. For the price we paid, it was an outstanding clean and spacious room. The front desk was very courteous, helpful, and polite. The grounds of the hotel well maintained. The air conditioning worked stellar. The bathroom was modern and super clean with no mold. The TV had a good assortment of American movie channels like HBO and Cinemax. A big plus, there were many restaurants and 7/11's in the neighborhood where the hotel was located. There was even a KFC and Pizza Hut within walking distance at a supermarket called Super C, if I can recall. Btw, the Pizza Hut delivers if you don't feel like walking there. It was Valentines Day and we ate at the KFC and it was better than any KFC I've ever eaten at in the States. All the locals are helpful in that neighborhood and will point you to anywhere you need to go to. Only drawback, the bed was a bit hard. But for the price, it can be over looked.

Everywhere was super clean and the location next to the lake and park was lovely. The staff had very little English which made communication difficult. There was no kettle or cups in room and no breakfast for vegetarians which was disappointing. Cereal/ fruit/muffin are cheap. Coffee is provided in lounge but is only in the morning and is in sachets that are all pre muxed white with sugar!! We bought our own black at the local 7/11. There is a market every night nearby which is super. A really nice place that just needs a few cheap improvements to be excellent.

Picked this hotel as it was supposed to be 'near the airport'....I guess all is relative in BKK traffic. The Taxi driver tried to steer us away from the place, saying it would take an hour to get to the airport the next morning (it took 10 minutes at 6am, but you could see the one main road would be busy at rush hour). Hotel is very simple, but pleasant. There is a park right behind it that would be nice for a walk or jog. The neighborhood around it is not flashy, but a taste of 'authentic Thailand'. An okay place for an overnight, but not exactly an airport hotel...we enjoyed, but simple was fine for us.

I stayed here 6 years ago and the hotel is beginning to show it's age, although it is far from disappointing.
Situated in a Thai neighborhood with ample food stalls, market, shops and bars and enjoying the presence of a large formal gardens with lake to the back of the property, this 'Hometel' offers a change to the usual. If you're arriving before after a long journey try to avoid Rush Hour traffic at 4-5pm as this will make the normally 20 minute drive from airport up to 40 minutes.
Breakfast is available here but doesn't inspire and I would recommend buying at a cafe, in town or the airport.
Staff were helpful during my stay but definitely not as motivated as first time I booked in.

Just what I was looking for near the airport

I was looking for a clean, inexpensive room close to the airport. Many of the hotels within immediate proximity were either above what I wanted to pay or had very mixed reviews regarding noise and cleanliness. We were arriving in Bangkok at 2:30am and had a flight out to Perth at midnight so we were looking for a room where we could shower and sleep until our flight later that day. What we found was exactly what we were looking for with lots of local charm nearby. We ended up paying for two nights but it was well worth the money. We woke up to a scene of locals running and exercising out by the lake that is right next door to the hometel. We walked and grabbed local lunch fare and there is even a 7-11 nearby. My cousin picked us up from the airport and using his gps was able to get to the hotel about 25 min from getting into our truck. There is limited parking on the property as well. I would definitely stay there again for convenience to the airport as it was clean, quiet with friendly staff.

The Suphan Lake is an incredible place - clean, unique, and with a wonderful staff. The location is not ideal, though. It is close to nothing for tourists, except the airport. There is a very pretty park attached to the property, for early morning walks and such. The staff will go out of there way to accommodate you and I will miss there smiles.

Great place for the price. It is older but clean and service is great. It is located next to a park with a lake which makes it very nice. You will need directions for the cab driver. It is 15 to 20 minute ride from the airport. Plenty of local places to eat but no chains or indoor eating places.

Wish I had stayed in town

This hotel is 20 minutes from the airport. It is hidden away in a Bangkok neighborhood; our taxi driver had to call to get directions when he got near the hotel. The hotel had a dinner menu in the room but nothing to offer in terms of food -- it had no restaurant and there were no restaurants nearby. We are not adventurous enough to eat on the street, and the street food we saw did not represent the best of what we had seen elsewhere. We found fried chicken in a night market and a convenience store that sold packaged nuts and beer. That was our dinner. I wish we had gone into Bangkok for the last evening of our trip -- it would have taken an additional 20 - 25 minutes to get to the airport the next morning, but our stay would have been so much more pleasant.

Great deal and great park next door which makes the place really nice. You must have the phone number or directions as taxi drivers do not know the place. It is down an alley. There are plenty of nearby eating and shopping locations but it is all local, no food chains. I really like this place and use it often. Great price, clean even if it is a bit old. They treat me well and getting laundry done is easy and very reasonable.

This is a great place to stay only about 15 minutes from the airport. It is difficult for the taxi drivers to find as it is down an alley way so have good directions and the hotel number for the driver. The lovely part next door makes you feel like you are in the country. The hotel staff is great. It has some age but is maintained well by the hard working staff. The neighborhood is typical for places near the airport. It is walking distance to places meeting your basic needs with no frills. I will definitely stay hear again.

Great choice for airport stay

Conveniently located from the airport 150/200b cab ride. The hotel is well kept, clean, modern but sparse, has a nice tranquil courtyard and is right next to a big park with a lake - we had a very nice balcony overlooking both. The bathroom is good, but thai style (no shower enclosure). The area is not touristic, but has a lot of shops (7/11 right at the end of soi) and a market in close walking distance that has all kinds of street food vendors, delicious! Staff was extremely helpful and nice. Free instant coffee in the morning! Overall great choice for an early/late flight, but way too far out if you wanted to explore Bangkok.

Loved this hotel. Big Room, Fast Internet, and amazing service. It's located on a small lake, there's a 7/11 and street food market and small shops only a block away. It is about 30 minutes to downtown. if you take a taxi make sure they use a meter. Should be 200-300baht max. Definitely worth the trip.

wifi worked, free breakfast, no gym, next to very nice park for exercise or walking. Not tourist area, owners helpful. taxi driver got very lost finding it. make sure taxi driver calls hotel for directions before leave in taxi.

Lovely and peaceful location.

This is a great value for the money. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good. It is extremely clean. It is a little difficult for taxi drivers to find so you need instructions or the number for them to call the hotel. The hotel garden is peaceful and sit next to a large park which is beautiful. This has become my preferred location when needing to stay near BKK.

Incredible location for the price

This is a hidden gem for the price. You will need to take a taxi to this place and be sure to have directions for the driver as it is a bit hard for them to find. However, it is the best location I've found that is not too far from the airport and with such a value price. It has a lovely garden and is located by a large and beautiful park with a lake. You can only get breakfast but it is within easy walking distance of local shopping and restaurant. It is a 20 minute, $4.50 taxi ride to the Fashion Island Mall and the airport. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a very reasonable laundry service. This will be my choice location for a place to stay near the airport.

Internet not for business

The Hotel is very very nice but the internet not good for business people. Only stayed there 1 day for that reason, would have stayed longer if I could work from there.

The hotel is quite far from any main attractions if you are looking for one, it's about 15-30 minutes from the airport and is located in a very quiet housing area. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay for a layover till your next destination, this place is okay.

Suphan Lake Hometel is a glorious retreat abutting a new park, a few short minutes from Suvarnibumi Airport. When you book, be sure to PRINT OUT THE ADDRESS in Thai language. Our taxi driver got hopelessly lost without written directions.

I cannot fault this Hotel !

Having stayed at a number of low price hotels in Asia,I have seen some good and some bad.I would have to say that Suphan Lake Hotel is indeed excellent! I had a big clean room with a large balcony overlooking a beautiful park with a lake in it.All the staff are very friendly and helpful and it's more like staying in a 4 star hotel at a 2 star price.Some might find the location unsuitable,if you want shopping malls etc. then this iisn't the place.However if you like a local place with market and local food then you'll be happy here.You can get a bus into the city for next to nothing,taxi's are cheap as well.I would definitely stay here again!

Good for airport - bad for city

Stayed here for one night before a very early morning flight. 20 minute drive to airport. Hotel staff is good about arranging taxis for you. Minibar stocked with drinks in room. Free water, internet. About 40 minute taxi ride to city for about 500 baht. Longer if any traffic (which there frequently is). Make sure you bring address written out in Thai or map directions for taxi driver to locate hotel - hard to find. Once you are at the hotel, the staff can assist you with that. Quiet, comfortable. Good air conditioning. Toilet/Shower combo room - but just fine. Overall, I'd recommend if you don't need to go into city much.

Great Value, Poor Location

We stayed at this hotel because we had one night transiting Bangkok. Wanted to be close to the airport, but still be able to go into town for the evening. The hotel was not near the airport (1+ hour drive in traffic, 30 min drive at 4am w/o traffic), and it took around an hour to get to the city. But location aside, the value cannot be beat. It was a clean bed, nice room, very friendly and helpful staff, and an incredible value for a low cost. If I had it to do over, I would have paid more to stay closer.... but if I didn't have the money, I would definitely return.

Suphan Lake Hometel is a mini-bus ride from the airport link train, but otherwise is a really great place to stay. My room had 2 beds and a fridge. TV worked fine, wifi was a bit spotty, but useful. The bathroom might be a little confusing at first because of the water heater thing, but it's easy to figure out. The staff were especially helpful, if you have tours booked or anything they will call and confirm for you and make sure everything is in order. They are also really great for directions and what time to head out, they will write it down for you and draw a map.

It's not too far from airport, fantastic staff and very helpful with all my needs.They helped arrange less expensive transfer to airport etc. It's a little hard to find so make sure you have direction from there website printed out for your driver.

I stayed for 2 nights and it's a nice place to stay. the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is near many Thai restaurants and the food is cheap and very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. I have stayed at several hotels near the airport in the past but, I will definitely return here.

Great hotel

After travelling for 3 months we headed back to Bangkok to fly home, unfortunately we headed straight into the protests and our flight was postponed for over a week. We decided to get out of the city and stay somewhere with an outdoor area away from the smog. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly, the rooms are lovely , the wifi has a very strong connection and there is a good selection of tv channels for English speakers. The park and the lake at the back is beautiful and even has a population of turtles! Thoroughly enjoyed our time here, the only negative is there isn't much to do for tourists in the area.
