Exactly what we expected and exactly as advertised! The 7th Fl restaurant was outstanding! Mustafa the morning manager makes you feel like a friend! Ahmet at the front desk had everything prepared exactly as requested. Thank you all for making our visit to Istanbul so memorable! Also, the location was perfect. 10 minute walk to the port for cruise ships. 5 minute walk to catch the ferry to the Asian side of Istanbul and other places. HIGHLY recommend!!!

Good hotel in a great location. Make sure to take a room on a high floor as it is loud until midnight outside. We asked for several things at check-in but due to staff shift change nothing was delivered. However, otherwise, staff at the front desk was helpful and staff at breakfast was incredibly friendly.

Location was really good, right near the galataport and galata bridge, easy to walk around but less busy than the most touristic areas.

Very nice boutique hotel. We stayed two nights prior to embarking upon a Viking cruise. Room was terrific and decorated nicely. Staff helpful. The breakfast at the restaurant on the 7th floor was quite enjoyable and tasty. The view was outstanding! Access to the hotel via a one-lane, one-way road was a bit challenging for the taxi and caused the fare to be a bit higher than expected.

Fabulous location three minutes walk from ferry station and Karakoy Tram station. Lively pub downstairs ideal for nightcap before bed. We had a suite with hot tub and was enormous, well designed and very stylish. Breakfast was great fun with amazing views from roof top restaurant of Bosphorous, Süleymaniye Mosque, Galata Bridge and Galata Tower. We were greeted every morning with a huge hug from the amazing Mustapha whose energy and enthusiasm were second to none. Ideal base for a visit to an incredible city!!!

Orhan and hakan at the front desk were amazing and ready to help with everything. Bosporus view is astonishing and very refreshing. we stayed at sea view room. Hotel has a the best location with a walking distance to most Istanbul attractions and historic site. Great restaurants around with some of the best ones in Istanbul.

First, I must say it was an awesome location, not only to walk up to the bazaar and the city. But also it was about a 15 minute walk to the cruise ship MSC where we had to go.
It is small and personal. The room was just absolutely amazing decorated and very artsy trendy boutique style. It is right off of Main Street so you will hear a little bit of the hustle and bustle down below.

The rooftop restaurant was absolutely amazing and the chef Mustafa was just so wonderful and warm would stay here again and highly recommend to others.

We stayed at De Reve Galata once before, so this was our second time around.

The front desk is super helpful and supportive, arranging pick-up from the airport for us before we arrived to helping throughout the stay with any inquiries.

The rooms very nice, clean and spacious.

The highlight every day was the breakfast on the rooftop served by Mustafa, who is an absolute pearl for the hotel. With his warm and welcoming nature, he was always in a splendid mood making your day start on a huge positive.

The hotel is located perfectly to Istanbul Modern Museum, the Galataport shopping mall and a short 10 min walk to the Galata bridge taking you over to Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar.

Can highly recommend this hotel and will surely come back again, once in Istanbul.

The hotels location is great to the port. We walked with our rolling suitcases about 17 min. It is walking distance to shopping and tower.
The staff were all over the top with friendliness and hospitality.
Breakfast was very delicious with a variety of cheese, fruit, eggs, breads, Turkish treats, juice, tea, &coffee. They kept bringing us food. We ate past being full.
Wonderful place that I would love to stay again.

It was an absolute pleasure getting to know Mustafa, Ahmed, and the rest of the crew. I never felt so welcome anywhere at an anytime. Same goes for the front desk staff. Everyone was great. Perfect location for exploring Istanbul on foot. Travelling for work, but with a little time to explore, having such a central location enabled me to combine the two. Worth the stay

Everything was wonderful! The room was beautiful, large, comfortable beds. The dinner and breakfast were excellent. The breakfast was more than we could eat. Many Turkish dishes, plus whatever we wanted.

The only thing that was lacking was that the A/C was only in one area of the room and barely cooled the entire suite. We have already recommended this hotel to others and would definitely stay there again.

I never write reviews after a stay, but I am making an exception for this hotel. Even before I arrived at the property, the hotel reached out to see if there was anything they could do for me upon my arrival as well as reached out to see if I needed transportation or if I wanted them to book any excursions. There are too many people to name, but every single person I interacted with at the hotel was beyond kind, courteous, and helpful. The customer service was the best I have ever experienced at any place I have ever stayed, and trust me, I have stayed a lot of places. My room had to be the absolute cleanest room I have ever been in. And I don’t just mean upon my arrival, but every single day when housekeeping came, every detail was attended to. Sheets were cleaned, room was spotless, it was the most thorough housekeeping service I have ever experienced. I originally booked this hotel based on the reviews that continued to mention customer service as a theme , and they were not wrong. Please do yourself a favor and book this hotel if you decide to stay in Istanbul. You will be so happy that you did and if I ever return, I will be sure to come back.

This hotel was really nice. Very quaint and modern. It was really a surprise when we arrived from the welcome to the actual room being wonderfully decorated to the welcome drink at the rooftop restaurant. While there were a few issues during our stay, I would recommend others to stay here.

We only stayed at the De Reve for 1 night because we were catching a cruise ship the next day. Istanbul is such a great city and we would love to come back and stay longer. If/when we do, we would definitely stay at the De Reve again. The hotel was amazing but the staff was even better! The couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating, plus the breakfast was really, really good!

From the host checking us in to the assistance received with our bags and all the warm smiles and generosity, there is no reason for us to consider another place. Now add in the fact that the location is beyond perfect for any thing you’re wanting to do and now this is a solid choice. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and had a sea view of the a Bosporus. The Irish pub was great as we watched the euro cup and the atmosphere was textbook futbol in Türkiye. If you’re considering this place, there is nothing bad to speak of here. Also, almost forgot, the rooftop lounge and view was pretty darn awesome as well. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up?! Solid choice and the price great too.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at the De Reve Galata. Our check-in was a little slow as they were helping other guests but we enjoyed a cup of tea while we waited - outside in the cafe as their reception area is very very small. Once checked in we had nothing but a wonderful stay. Great room (we had sprung for the upgrade with balcony and small sitting area) and the bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The staff was very helpful getting us an appointment at a nearby Hamas for a Turkish bath when the standard tourist places were full since it was Sunday. It was a wonderful experience, thanks for helping us find this gem! The hotel is newly renovated with great linens in the bathroom. A wonderful breakfast each morning in the cafe - shout out to all the staff but specifically Mustafa and Ireme who made us feel like we were at home. The hotel is located in a great location, easily walkable. Close to a tram stop and lots of fun dining options. I would highly recommend if you are looking for something just a little different from a standard hotel. The entire staff went out of their way to make our staff enjoyable. Thank you!

If you are looking for a smart , comfortable hotel with excellent staff- look no further. The room was beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and perfectly quiet! The breakfast ( included) was delicious and caters for everyone. The hotel is two minutes from the Galataport district, next to the river with many shops bars and restaurants. The staff at the hotel are fantastic, so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Thanks for a great stay!

Do not stay at this hotel- they gave me food poisoning from their chicken wrap and I was in the hospital. My sister also got sick from their food and had diarrhea.

They had non stop construction noises and we couldn’t sleep.


Breakfast was bad-

Staff was not accommodating.
