Wonderful hotel in old San Juan. Historic building right in the historic district with easy walking access to main sites, forts, etc. The rooms are large with lots of character. Breakfast was excellent. Pool was small but very nice with a good view of the city and port. Beds were very comfortable and staff were helpful and kind. Really enjoyed our stay!

The location is amazing, lots of restaurants and bars steps from the place. The main plazas and castles are 15/20 minutes away. We got the apartment on the basement and it was perfect for us (me, husband and 6 month old baby). With the feeling that we were living “back in time” the room has a big bed, a crib and nice living room area (with a mini fridge) that we hangout when it got too hot out. The Terraza is 10/10 we wish we had stayed longer in town to spend more time there.

This is a well priced gem just a block from the waterfront promenade. The ceilings were high and while the room could use a little update (the toilet shrieks when you flush), we were comfortable and secure. The rooftop is absolutely lovely. Convenient to everything. We would go back.

Streets are super narrow & parking is terrible, all parking garages around were full so we parked at near by small airport & taxied back to the hotel. The hotel did let us put our stuff in a back room until check in. This hotel was beautiful & very unique. We enjoyed the rooftop & splash pool.

This hotel is located in old San Juan very accessible there are elevators so disregard the other reviews. I stood here since I was going on a cruise. It is very close to the cruise port. I would say about eight minutes in an Uber. It is a very narrow tight street. There is a few restaurants located around here. I don’t have any complaints since I only stood one night. You don’t necessarily have to eat here. I must say there are many restaurants located around the area that is walkable that you should try.

The place was dirty and several things occurred that were really disappointing- for ex- the air conditioner was controlled by the front desk(so if you wanted to turn it up or down,you call the front desk). They did not offer coffee in the room. You could BUY it at the front desk. For the price they are asking per night- did not live up to the description. There were other things too.

Pool was closed, we weren’t informed. 1 bath towel, hand towel and washcloth for 2 guests, the rooms weren’t even decorated as seen in the online pictures. . No tissues, paper towels in the room or bathrooms in the building. Overall not what we saw in pictures at all! Bathroom amenities were lacking. Several hair conditioners, no body lotion. Sadly didn’t take any pictures.

The hotel, room, staff, and breakfast on the terrace were all delightful. We really enjoyed our stay. It was a great location/home base to walk to everywhere in old San Juan. I was frustrated/disappointed to learn that the rooftop pool was under construction and unavailable when we arrived. We also had to go to the front desk every time we wanted to change the AC temperature in the room. The room was dark and we were unable to open the window shutters because they are a historic part of the building and not allowed to be moved/opened. An extremely charming room, but also dim. Overall a great experience. The breakfast view and food were amazing. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in old San Juan.

I was so looking forward to this stay. It was quite expensive and I even paid extra for a balcony room. The staff was helpful enough but, the balcony (3rd floor) was not worth it. the balcony was so narrow you could not put a chair out on it. The room was very noisy. Through 3am each night, there was "partying" outside with music, laughter, loud talking. It was endless; an extremely noisy location. Stay somewhere else. The pool was out of commission. We had no notice the pool was unavailable the 4 nights we were there.

There is no coffee maker in the room which was also a bummer for us, they could make an espresso at the front desk area. The hotel is very open and people come in and walk through a lot, we checked in early and they held out stuff which really meant just putting it in a room that no one watched and people could have come in and gone through it taken it, that was a little weird. Wonderful location, beautiful hotel & restaurant. However, if you are seeing the primary photo & think you can use the pool, you are wrong. There should have been a disclaimer stating the pool was out of service & will be for quite some time. Instead, we got there to a sign that read the pool was undergoing "cleaning" - yet there was a whole ass renovation being done! And yet the guy at the desk told us he thought the pool was potentially going to be done in time for one of the days we would be staying. Sorry but anyone with eyes could tell the pool was FAR from being done & was under a total renovation. I do not appreciate the BS this place spewed to us & the misrepresentation of the property. We paid a lot of money for a location that did NOT meet our expectations.

Unfortunately the pool was closed and we were not notified...they are making improvments, possible adding an awning, which resulted in a lot of banging all day. I think it will be a perfect stay once the pool is open again.

The amenities and services are pretty spartan (no in room coffee, no extra towels, limited lighting, no way to adjust A/C), but the price is commensurate, so overall we were very pleased with our stay.

We absolutely loved the room! It was so spacious and the view was wonderful. Also enjoyed the rooftop restaurant and terrace. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable bed. It was unfortunate that the pool was being refinished while we were there. It was right on top of our room and the noise woke us up both days we stayed. But we understand renovations need to be done. The elevator was a bit concerning, just due to how much it moved upon entering & exiting, along with the loud creaks and groans.

I loved staying in the old town . Great food right next door . I mean we couldn’t find a bad plate of food in the area . Lol . . Definitely, walkable and uber accessible. The little pool was down for maintenance and we were highly disappointed. Rooftop was really big. All in all , I loved it . And we found a pool eventually. I saw the hotel cat once . :/ . She was cute and chubby .
