was the breakfast menu fresh? the honey buns were freshly frozen. the breakfast was terrible. Do not stay here! the staff can barely speak English, there were people fighting in the corridor at 5am and the staff did nothing, 3 nights no housekeeping, and the final slap was when I reserved a room for 4 nights and paid at the hotel. I was in town for work and the job ended a day early. I told the front desk I would be leaving a day early and was told I would get refunded for my final day. I was told it would be deposited in my account 4 to 5 days later. I gave them 7 and no refund. I call the fleabag hotel and was told I had to call hotels.com and once hotels com contacted the econolodge they would refund my final night. I called hotels.com and the person I spoke with called the hotel to release my refund and they told him that their policy is something where they won't refund my money. Avoid this place unless you need to buy some meth.

Econolodge is just that. Economic. Don’t expect a 5/6 star. However, it’s conveniently located to highway, the staff is friendly, the suite was clean (happy to see the “wood look” laminate flooring. Not carpet) and the beds were comfy. Their amenities were perfect for us. Good place for a stop over.

It's what you would expect from a cheap hotel. 1 access card for my family. I had a Boston Terrier with me so they changed my room to a smoking room at the back of the hotel. The guy at the counter was on a cell phone throughout the transaction but was holding it to his chest and then talking into it when I was signing things. It was a cheap hotel experience on par with other cheap hotels I have stayed at.

Very basic room. Staff was courteous. It is difficult to evaluate this hotel. Most times of the year it is a $75 room and would have met expectations at that price. Because it was a football weekend they doubled their normal rates. As a $150 room it did not come close to expectations.

The room and entire hotel was disgusting. The sheets had stains and what looked like dried blood on them. The pillows had an awful smell. The floor was gross and sticky. The bathroom had opened shower products and had hair in the shower and sink. I can’t believe I paid to stay here. It was awful and I will never be staying again.

This was the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever seen. First off you walk in and the lobby is closed so you use a window to talk thru like a bank covered in plexiglass while waiting to check in we are standing with our bags on an absolutely filthy carpet saturated with black and brown filth. The smell was horrid. Walked upstairs to our room and it was dirty with hairs on the bed sheets and blanket, make up on the flat sheet covering the bed barely and invaded pillows! The bathroom floor never looked like it was ever cleaned and all the trim and molding were separated from the wall and complete filth! I am going to pursue a refund. The hotel in a parking lot surrounded by McDonald’s and other fast food restaurants- absolutely disgusting!

Overall, this Econolodge is a good bargain, you get what you pay for, and if you are looking for an ok place at a great budget, this location meets those accommodations and also accepts pets.
It is in a convenient location.
This was my second stay there and have had no issues with noise (its really been quite both times), or other patrons.

The rooms are ok and comfortable.
A few things that were unsavory;
Splashing stains of something on the walls (food, drink, etc)
There was black grim under the sink lip.
There was also black grim behind the pedestal of the toilet.
The continental breakfast is lackluster, but the waffles are good.

Toilet was super wobbly, requested more towels after starting two days and they only have a room of 4 two towels and they told me that they didn’t have anymore towels and couldn’t do laundry to get me more. The beds were super hard and uncomfortable, there was a random puddle in the corner of the room, the floors needed to be swept badly, when you plugged things into the socket above nightstand the light sparked weirdly and one of the lights in the bathroom didnt turn on everytime you flicked the switch.

Room was filthy. Hair all over the bathroom floor AND in the bed!! Looked like they hadn't even washed the sheets. The only reason we didn't leave and go elsewhere is because we both worked all day and then drove 7 hours from NY. We were exhausted and needed to stop for the night.

This EconoLodge was extremely disappointing. Upon walking into the room, the floor was sticky. The air conditioning was off so the room was very hot in the heat of July. The bathroom ceiling was covered in mildew. The beds and pillows were horribly uncomfortable. We had booked two nights, but we could not stay there a second night. We left early and booked elsewhere

Considering the price, we didn’t expect luxury, but traveling with 2 kids, we’d at least hoped for cleanliness but we didn’t get that. The toilet was stained, there was hair on the bathroom floor and an old, used soap in the shower. The overhead bathroom light sounded like a bug zapper when you turned it on. Everything was just dirty and looked well used (fixtures, furniture, etc.). We only needed somewhere to sleep, and this was barely good enough for that.

The room was almost 90 degrees when I checked in, it took better than 2 hours to get the room temperature down to 80 and it took most of the night to get the room down to 75. The bed closest to the looked and felt like a box spring instead of a mattress. The bathroom was disgusting. I went out to get cleaning supplies and cleaned my own room. I knew I couldn't complain because there were no availabilities in town due to orientation for WVU. I will never recommend this location to anyone.

It was extremely dirty and the keys were not working properly. I let them know the first night that I arrived that my room was extremely dirty, I was told they will take care of it, but they did not. I cleaned anything that I was supposed to touch and you can see the result on the pictures. They are putting people’s life at risk.

Check in was quick and easy. The room did not give me that clean feling. Bathroom was not up to clean standards. Shampoo 1 bottle was half empty -used. the 3 nights we were there I don't believe anyone checked our room.
bed sheets almost seemed that it had been slept in previously.
Breakfastv-first day 8:00am only waffles, orange juice, milk and cereal nothing else. Next day again same things. only. Another patron came in and asked for honey bun that he had gotten the day before. Lady went and brought back only 2 eventhough there were many people in the dining area. That was the extent of the pastries. Third morning we left early and did not check breakfast as it wa 4am.

Pretty much exactly what you’d expect for a cheap motel in West Virginia. Rooms that were for sure not cleaned, and not updated since the 80s. Charged us $50 to check in early even though the room was ready but I got it refunded considering the shower water was ice cold and wouldn’t get hot. The AC was set at 65 for hours and still came back to a warm room. Paper thin sheets, parchment paper toilet paper. Rude customer service.

I have stayed at this location before. It is older and run down, but has been clean and comfortable. I was very disappointed this time. Upon arrival, I asked the front desk to clean the bathroom because the toilet had clearly not been cleaned in a while, including the base around the floor which had urine. Shower had significant soap scum build up. When I returned later, the bathroom still had not been cleaned. I returned the next day to the front desk and reported that it was not clean. The desk manager said that he had spoken to the cleaning personnel and he would tell them again. When I returned again and it still was not clean, I assumed that perhaps the toilet was just discolored. This morning (after three days there) I took a washcloth and wiped at the black marks in the bowl. They came off readily, so not stained. Just dirty even after 2 requests to clean. Additionally, I had made reservations with Hotels.com. I originally reserved in August for graduation weekend, and then added Thursday night in January. I have a receipt confirmation as such. When I checked in, I had no issue. Saturday afternoon I was locked out. Informed me that I only had a reservation for 2 nights. Showed my receipt. Checked his computer and said he had no evidence of that. Said (nicely) that I had to check out or pay for the night and contact Hotels.com for issue. I had no choice but to pay. Charged me $143 plus tax for the night (3x the nightly rate I reserved at) Disgusted.

I slept on top of the blankets with my clothes and shoes on. There were hairs between the sheets - blood in the bathtub. There was a strong musty smell in the room. I didn't take anything into the room because I was afraid of what I would carry out. They jacked the prices up to almost double what they advertised on their website because there was a WVU football game.

I liked nothing about the property. The hotel is old, it smells, the room and the carpet smells badly and the bathroom was so dirty to where we went to the store to buy cleaning products to try to make it livable for one night. What we did to make it clean and smell good wasn't enough, so we left to a cleaner and nicer hotel although we didn't get a refund from the econo hotel. My family and myself will never stay there again, and we will not recommend anyone else to stay there as well.

The carpets in the hallways are disgustingly stained, and i tried not to think what they were stained with. When i got to the room, the water in the toilet was discolored so i figured it was bad water and made sure not to drink it. After i used the restroom and flushed, the water was more discolored and not all of the tp went down. I flushed a second time and the water went clear. So when I got there there was still urine from someone else. People were in the hallways and in the parking lot yelling until 4am. Some of those people looked to be employees. If you can afford to go elsewhere, DO IT!

Bed was firm. Shower was excellent. Room temperature was easily adjusted. Location is in a shopping area off the beaten path, so no traffic around the building. Breakfast was decent for the price. Bake your own waffles, cereal bar.

I wanted something close to Morgantown that didnt break the bank. That's what I got. The establishment is run down in hallways. Stianed carpets. Room had hard floors, which was an improvement. There were splash stains on some walls. A used washcloth remained from previous occupant, along with hair in the drain. Beds appeared clean and were relatively comfortable. No one came to clean, empty trash, or make the bed. Front desk staff was friendly.

Well, where do you want me to start. The building was a mess. The rooms so dirty and stayed for 2 nights and didn't have housekeeping come in to at least give us new linens. We had to use the same towels both days. Too be honest this place needs to shut down and have a total remodel. Can't believe the owners can't see what they have.
