We are a younger couple and absolutely loved it. Great selection of thermal baths and areas to relax. Beach is 5 min walk, lots of quality sea food restaurants walking distance.

We were one of the rooms which was away from the main hotel. The room was clean a bit dated by ok. Very good value.

The staff were nice a friendly. The hotel is a nice place to relax. The bus stops outside the hotel and the islands bus service is amazing €14 for a weeks ticket and buses run every 15 minutes even at night.

Excellent stay. This hotel consists of multiple buildings, in the area, so if you want to stay right next to the pool/breakfast area, you might want to call and ask which rooms offer that.
Breakfast was fresh and tasty, the pools were lovely, and the beach shuttle was helpful. You can walk to the beach, but it's steep since Sorriso is at the top of a cliff (giving it excellent views). There are lots of shops nearby if you want to pick up some groceries, sunscreen, or souvenirs. Staff spoke good English and were helpful arranging taxis, providing recommendations, etc. Would definitely go back!

We had the most wonderful stay at Sorriso! So much to do at the hotel you honestly don’t ever need to leave for a relaxing stay. We walked 3 minutes up the street and rented scooters for a day to go around the island. The hotel has shuttle service to the beach below. The restaurants were delicious, fresh, local and even a nightlife scene right at the hotel. The staff is so friendly and wonderful we just really had a relaxing stay. 10/10 experience!

Stayed in the annex which was less than a 2 minute walk from the main property. When we arrived, the staff were very friendly and helpful in helping us order taxis and gave great suggestions. The thermal pool was very relaxing and had a full bar outside to enjoy a drink while relaxing

Basic hotel with nice thermal pools.

We came to the hotel mainly because of the thermal pools (Which was the only one in Ischia in this season- November). The pools were great. However, the room was outdated, the bed and pillows were terrible, the shower is looking like 30 years old. Breakfast and dinner were basic. The coffee is from automatic machines and not tasty.

Enjoyed our stay at Sorriso, staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool area is lovely. We stayed in the annex building and found the room to be a little outdated, however, this seems to be relatively common for Ischia. Would recommend to others looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in Forio.

The resort is located on a hill overlooking Forio (on Iskea island). The view is amazing and the 3 thermal pools are great. Staff was friendly and resort was very clean.

However, some of the front office staff were somewhat disorganized. Our bill wasn't ready when we were checking out and the hairdryer in the unit wasn't working and they were not able to replace it. Internet also was poor - which was an issue for me to be on several video calls.

Overall, very nice place - but some operational issues (not sure if corona related) that needs to be ironed out.

Our family of four had such a nice, relaxing time at this resort. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, with two twin beds and one king size bed. The resort facilities were neatly kept and designed to maximize the stunning views of the sea and sunset. There were a few quaint little shops and restaurants to explore within walking distance. The weather was cool, so it was the perfect time of year to enjoy the heated outdoor pools. This was our kids' favorite stop on our Amalfi Coast tour, and we would definitely go back.

3 star hotel with 2 star service & 4 star prices

We paid for a double comfort room. We were shown a room in a separate annex which had black mold on the ceiling. We were then shown another 4 rooms which were as equally as bad (most of the rooms were tired and smelt). We spent the first night in 1 of these rooms with an appalling smell and a rock hard bed.

On the second day we were moved to another room which looked like if had been updated in the last few years (still with hard beds) but it resembled a room from a 3 star hotel rather than a 4 star hotel.

The manager and reception staff were rude to us and were not accommodating.

There are also extras for robes and towels which I wouldn’t expect from a 4 star spa hotel.

On the last day when it came to checking out, the reception staff ignored us and served the Italians until they had to serve us. I find their behavior unacceptable. We felt very unwelcome at the hotel.

Great quality spa. Super physio specialist.

If you are after Quality beauty and health treatments- Sorriso is THE place. Wonderful facials, outstanding massages, and absolutely top professional no-mercy physio. I needed post-shoulder-operation recovery, and Sorriso spa intensive treatments worked miracles. Combined with mineral water swimming pools at the hotel and nearby Poseidon Park (fantastic..!) even a 9 day stay produced outstanding results. I didn’t care about little inconveniences like room size etc; the hotel is clean, lots of flowers, beautiful views- good value for money. Therefore I give Sorriso top score - with gratitude! Would definitely come again.

Nice resort hotel with beautiful sea views.

It is a bit of a journey car, plane, car, ferry and car again but once arrived it is certainly worth the while. The hotel resort is set into the hills at various levels. Breakfast is taken alfresco with breathtaking views of the sea and landscape. It has a private walkway to Citara beach but this is a mixture of steps so not accessible if you need assistance walking/in a wheelchair but the hotel does offer a shuttle to/from the beach. The pool facilities were very clean, the service was very good and the staff were very accommodating/helpful. Our room was spacious and had a balcony with beautiful sea views and watching the sunset was amazing. We tried a seafood restaurant on Citara beach, the setting was perfect and got a taxi into Fario port two nights (15 euros each way) to try out local restaurants there as well as walking around the town shopping late evening, it has a lovely atmosphere. Negombo and Poseidon Thermal Parks are also certainly worth a visit ... Poseidon can be reached via the walkway from Sorriso Resort Hotel. We arranged a private guided tour of the island in a Tuk Tuk which meant we got to tour around the whole of the island which was well worth doing. Ischia is a beautiful island and certainly well worth a visit ... we shall certainly be returning.

Great location, BUT beware

The hotel location was great. The pools were fantastic. HOWEVER if you are staying over the weekend DO NOT stay in the sea view rooms that are located under the Oasis resturuant. On Friday night a private wedding rented out the place and blasted music till 4am and then the resturuant itself has a regular band on Saturday until 2am. The Oasis is apparently owned by someone else but blends into the property and the rooms sit directly underneath. This baffled me as there was actually a sign that said \"Quite Zone\" but the music, regardless of private events, happens every weekend till the wee hours of the morning... oh, and the beds... bring some added padding as you can literally feel the springs in your back. Otherwise, great place.

Spectacular view, great location

The location is ideal: walking distance to the beach and Poseidon, and on the main bus line.
The sea view from our rooms was spectacular, especially at sunset.
Breakfast had a wide variety of choices.
Take advantage of the pools and spa!
The staff was excellent, especially Pasquale at the front desk.
The two problems we encountered were:
1) parking is a challenge.
2) The air conditioning in our friends' room wasn't working. Every day, they were told it would be fixed. Finally, on the 4th day of our 5 days there, it was fixed. The hotel should have offered them a different room or fixed it the first day.

Service was great. Every staff member went out of their way to help accommodate us. But, the hotel facility did not meet 4 star standards. The air conditioning and wifi were not working well, they charged for a towel at the pool everyday. They gave us a hard time when we asked for ice cubes. No room service.

I was disapointed for the location of the room, i had asled 2 beds they gave 1 which they fixed, the telephone was not working, there was moldnon wall, I asked for a wake up call for 6:30am, they called at 7.not enough communication and information.
But the staff was very nice as well as the chauffers who took us to Poséidon and to the port (very courtous) the manager also

An excellent hotel with wonderful facilities, great health resort. good specialists. close to a wonderful spa park,. Staff at the Sorriso Thermae are excellent, very helpful, always willing to assist. Reception staff are great and will do anything they can to help.. Frequent minibus to the beach and back.. great time.
nearby , be prepared to pay about £30 for a day visit to the spa park.. but it has wonderful spa and sauna. great scenery and plenty of places to chill out.

Hotel was ok, but as some other reviews stated, we think the hotel caters more to germans. Language was a problem (but we don't speak any Italian). Some employees were helpful, however. We were put in room 130, and they said it was quiet and away from dance club area. Well, the hotel right above ours played LOUD banging music until 1:00 AM. Air conditioning barely worked, so the noise couldnt be drowned out. A man came at 11 PM after we came to the room after dinnerwhen we called about AC not working, but couldnt do anything about it. We were disappointed, but at least the thermal pools were nice and relaxing. Signs everywhere that you couldnt reserve lounge chairs, but by the time we got to the pools, all were taken...yep, with beach towels and nobody around. Good location with beautiful views, and free shuttle to/from ports.

20 years ago it would have been acceptable

mediocre service; especially receptionists had a hard time to crack a smile. food was an absolute disaster. they couldn't even get the pasta right - let alone more complex food. absolute no atmosphere. hotel bar is allowed to play music on only two nights per week (!). bar mixer has no clue how to prepare cocktails. they have their four star because they are apparently a Spa Resorts, but one sauna for two hundred hotel guests - one small pool cramped with people makes it a very uninspiring experience. the hotel rooms were furnished with outdated closets, beds, year old and uneven matrices and a tiny TV set attached to the wall close to the ceiling. it felt like a prison cell.

Nice staff, but facilities were lacking

The staff was very kind. The inside of the MAIN hotel was nice. The food was good. Our servers were very kind. However, we went during off-season. A lot of shops/restaurants were closed. The parts of the hotel we stayed in were not maintained. There was mold on the ceiling, drywall dust on furniture, ants in our room, and the shower door was broken. They moved us to a new location. In the new location we couldn't get any wifi. The mattresses are very flat and uncomfortable and so are the pillows. If it was just a few things, I wouldn't haven't cared, but it was a LOT of problems. They just need to upgrade the rooms, make sure everything is working properly and make sure they are actually CLEAN.

Loved the spa services!

The hotel was a bus ride from the ferrt port, and was very nice. Restaurants good (the best octopus I ever ate!) and the pools were nice. The hotel seems to cater to German visitors, and some signs were only in Italian and German; tricky for English speakers. Fortunately the menus were in English. the spa services were so nice that I went back for more, and could have done even more with more time. AC did not seem to work in room, but windows opened. I thought it was a good value and would go back.

This hotel was lovely, good facilities and really clean. At first some of the staff are a bit grumpy, but then they warmed up. There are 2 downsides to the hotel - it is on a noisy road and it the beach is a 10 minute walk down steep cliff type steps - fine going downhill, but incredibly difficult uphill! Lovely, quaint and rustic area with lots of little restaurants to choose from.

Not the Standard We Expected

We booked an upgraded “Classic Double Room” to avoid cheaper rooms in the Separate Building Outside the Hotel. Upon arrival, our luggage was taken, which at first seemed like good service, but only because we had to walk 350 meters up and down steep terrain, past private houses unrelated to the hotel. Finding the way was so difficult that a staff member had to guide us – something they appeared to do for all guests.

At reception we asked if there was a mistake, but were told that other rooms were even further away, while those closer to the main building were of much lower standard. This meant a 700-meter round trip not only for breakfast every morning, but also for every visit to the hotel facilities – something I would never recommend for elderly or less mobile guests.

The rooms are outdated but functional, though we found mold around the air conditioning outlet. Fortunately, we only stayed a week. The view of the sea was beautiful, but that was the highlight.

Pictures online match somewhat, but are clearly more flattering than reality. Mandatory swimming caps in the pool were never mentioned beforehand, and even hotel photos show guests swimming without them. Breakfast was disappointing: staff ate directly from the buffet while guests were still dining, and the coffee machine barely worked. The restaurant view was lovely, but impossible to enjoy due to the number of wasps outside.

Overall, the surroundings are beautiful, but definitely not 4-star standards.

Le personnel du restaurant Oasis était au top. En revanche l’accès à la chambre dans les dépendance est un véritable parcours du combattant, volet roulant cassé, bruit de la climatisation, infiltration d’eau, chasse d’eau cassée… alors que les chambres sont sensée avoir été rénovées. On nous a changé de chambre mais volet roulant également cassé et chasse d’eau également dysfonctionnelle. Petit déjeuner très moyen. 4 étoiles s’est surévalué…

Il sorriso Resort non ha nulla da invidiare ai lussuosi 5 Stelle presenti sull'isola. È un hotel che mi ha soddisfatto completamente.
Eccellente in tutto, dalla pulizia delle camere e delle aree comuni alla cortesia del personale, dalla qualità del cibo del ristorante alla meravigliosa colazione. Perfetti gli addetti alla reception, impeccabili i camerieri e lo staff del ristorante, ottima la cucina, molto invitante tutta l'area spa, che purtroppo rimpiango di non aver avuto il tempo di provare ma mi riservo di farlo appena mi sarà possibile. Mi auguro con tutto il cuore che questo hotel non cambi mai perché sarà sempre il mio punto di riferimento sull'isola di Ischia e il mio consiglio per un soggiorno rilassante a tutte le persone che conosco.

Da rivedere alcune cose.

Hotel con visuale dei tramonti sulla spiaggia d Citara Hotel pulito tranne la parte della piscina termale interna sporca su tutto il perimetro interno e odore di muffa.
Non funzionanti idromassaggi piscina esterna e interna.

Personale non sorridente all' interno della struttura m e a volte non rispondono neanche al saluto.

Okay for the location and price

It was the only hotel close to the beach that I could find to an okay price. Different staffs had different personalities but overall it was good and helpful service. You can get free shuttle to / from the forio port and to the beach. Location is great, there are some food markets + pharmacy nearby and bus stations that go everywhere on the island. The room was okay. I travelled alone and the single room was an of reasonable size. The balcony was nice but the view not so much, but I’m not too picky. Good breakfast with many varieties and a good pool area. The hotel and area is mostly visited by Italian families on holidays but they all seemed kind and greet you whenever you see each other.

Personalet var for det meste uhøfligt og uhjælpsomt og satte en halvskidt stemning for hotellet generelt. Det fremgik på ingen måde tydeligt af bookingen at vi ville blive huset i et annex på den anden side af hovedvejen. Misvisende at der ifm. bookingen under “I nærheden” står “I hjertet af Forio”, hvilket åbenbart skal forstås som, at hotellet ikke ligger i Forio by, men snarere et godt stykke udenfor.
Værelset mindede mest om et 2-stjernet B&B, lugtede af mug og queensizesengen var sat sammen af to stenhårde enkeltmadrasser, hvor man tydeligt kunne mærke fjedrene igennem.
I øvrigt et hotel hvor man skulle betale ekstra for håndklæder til brug ved poolen/stranden og hvor man skulle betale for at der kom vand ud af en bruser i poolen, hvilket virker håbløst for et 4-stjerners hotel. Morgenmaden er der desværre heller ikke meget godt at sige om. Eneste positive er et flot poolområde, fornuftigt fungerende gratis shuttlebus mellem hotellet og stranden og enkelte meget søde og hjælpsomme personalemedlemmer.

Dejlig omgivelser, fantastisk poolområde og sødt og venligt personale i poolbaren.
Vi ankom med vores venner (5 dage). Vi havde skrevet til hotellet at vi ønskede et værelse ved siden af hinanden flere måneder før og hotellet skrev tilbage, at det ikke blev noget problem og at de nok skulle sørge for at vi fik nogle skønne værelser.
Min mand og jeg fik desværre ikke et værelse ved siden af vores venner, tværtimod fik vi et værelse i hver sin ende af bygningen.
Vi ankom til et gammelt dobbelt værelse, som lå lige ud til et sving på bjerget, hvor biler dyttede og ræsede afsted. Aircondition hang halvt ned af væggen og toilettet løb hele tiden.
Altanen lå lige ind i en mur, så Vi bad om at få et nyt værelse. Det fik vi efter lang tids overbevisning. Vi blev efterfølgende logeret ind i en helt anden bygning end vores venner. Vi sagde ja tak, for der. Var ro for både toilet og biker.
Receptionisten var meget uprofessionel og han hilste ikke på os efterfølgende.

Il check-in è stato disastroso: avevo prenotato e pagato per una camera doppia comfort vista mare e ci hanno assegnato una pessima camera (n. 523) SENZA ARIA CONDIZIONATA arredata con mobiletti d'accatto. Solo dopo le mie proteste e la minaccia di andarmene ci hanno assegnato una camera decente, lontana dalla struttura centrale. Per il resto la vacanza è decorsa discretamente. Il posto è splendido, il complesso buono. Ma certi tentativi di imbrogliare i clienti non sono ammissibili.

Séjour décevant à l’hotel Pour un voyage de noce

Nous avions réservé pour 6 chembres vue mer double confort pou notre voyage de noce avec nos témoins
3 des 6 chambres n’étaient Pas avec lit double confort la réception après nous avoir fait attendre à l’arrivee à donner 3 chambres avec lits séparés pour des couples et 2 des chambres etaient dans un autre hôtel juste à côté mais pas avec le meme Confort
Nous avons retrouve un cafard dans la salke de bains et impossible de profiter de la terrasse et de la vue à cause d’une odeur d’égout sans compter le restaurant oasis juste au dessus des chambres qui fait piano bar musique et danse
Grosse déception y compris avec l’accueil de la réception pas sympathique du tout on a l’impression Que les français ne sont pas les bien venus aucun effort

nous y avons passé une nuit et avons regretté de ne pas avoir choisi un hébergement plus sympathique à Ischia Porto ou Ponte

Март 2019. Номера - грязноваты, в номере Комфорт с террасой с видом на море - оторванная крыша громыхала все ночи и дни от ветра. В ванной комнате - тараканы.
Обращаться на ресепшн - бесполезно, равнодушие.
Открытый бассейн хорошо, закрытый- душно, запахи. Халаты - Доп денежка.
Спа процедуры - приятные. Дама на ресепшн в Спа- первый тёплый человек в отеле.
ресторан- очень душно, выход на террасу закрыт. Завтрак - без удовольствия. Были рады, что не брали обеды/ужины. Еда - тоже на 3 для Италии.
Ресторан Оазис работал 1 день из наших 3 дней пребывания, открывается только в 8 вечера.
Вид из отеля - потрясающий, очень приятная дорога на пляж, территория отеля - также прекрасна, если не ходить в номер и не завтракать в ресторане:)

I una settimana cominciata con pioggia e grandine il primo giorno poi tempo splendido fino alla fine.
Albergo molto bello in buona posizione. Personale reception eccezionale per cordialità disponibilità efefficienza. Buona la pulizia camere e cambi biancheria. Può migliorare la ristorazione.

スタッフ親切だった。部屋が施設と離れていて少し面倒だった。
送迎サービスもあって良かったが、ピックアップの場所がわからず困ったので、事前に確認した方が良い。施設は温水プールやサウナジムなどすべて無料で使えたので良かった。
Wi-Fiが繋がりにくかったので、ちゃんと繋がるようにしてもらいたい。

朝食でサラダがなかったので、お願いしたら作って持ってきてくれた。
また機会があれば宿泊したい。

Ideal para descansar y divertirse.

Estadía excelente ! Las piletas termales son fabulosas, la habitación, en mi caso la clásica, muy cómoda y muy bien la limpieza. Lo único para criticar es que las almohadas eran un poco duras. El desayuno muy bueno y abundante. Las playas de la zona son fabulosas. Sin dudarlo, volvería a alojarme allí.

All’arrivo sono rimasto sorpreso dalla magnifica location, immediatamente mortificata però dall’inadeguatezza dell’accoglienza ricevuta alla reception: oltre ad avermi assegnato una stanza diversa da quella prenotata e già saldata, non mi è stato illustrato nulla riguardo la pur ampia offerta di servizi, relativi prezzi ed orari offerti dalla struttura.

Colazione più o meno ricca, affollatissima, con personale spesso distratto ed inefficiente, deliziose invece le note suonate al pianoforte e splendido il panorama sulla baia di Citara.

Menzione particolare per il ristorante OASIS superlativo per location e cucina, prezzi nella norma.

Comodo il servizio navetta da e per, spiaggia e Forio, del mitico Antonino.

Da rivedere le datate stanze delle dependances.

Parcheggio: “libero ma selvaggio”.

Resta l’indelebile ricordo della magnifica isola d’Ischia.

Una macchina da guerra.

L'hotel complessivamente è quasi buono perchè vicino a molti altri luoghi da visitare nell'isola ma delle varie strutture che lo compongono SOLO 2 sono completamente rinnovate e rispettano anche la cifra spesa per una camera. Non si può dar colpa a nessuno se non alla proprietà che gode di una notevole fortuna per il posizionamento dello stesso e per le terme presenti in struttura, ma non credo sia giusto campare di rendita così. E' pur vero che quasi tutti (come ho visto) sono clienti di vecchia data che oramai si accontentano \"di quello che fu\" e come sempre ci sono pro e contro ma per esempio perchè non cambiare le tende giallastre alle camere e le tovaglie sporche della sala colazione e rinnovarlo con determinate accortezze visto che comunque i prezzi non coincidono con il servizio che si pensa di offrire? Tralascio l'intonaco cadente e le muffe presenti nella camera 129 e nelle altre camere che mi hanno fatto visitare quando mi sono lamentata per la camera malandata. Ovviamente ho scelto la meno peggio per Euro 173,08! E' una macchina da guerra, un po' vecchia, un po' troppo cigolante.

Accueil et confort moyen pour un 4* sauf au spa

Chambre 829 dans une maison de l’autre côté de la route avec terrasse agréable mais confort minimal. Air conditionné bruyant qui empêche de dormir, pas d’aeration Dans la sdb, baignoire qui ne se vide pas, pas de room service, personnel avec amabilité au minimum et informations peu précises (« le bus s’arrête devant l’hotel » : problème , il s’arretait 80 m au-dessus dans un virage et on a faillit le rater pour retourner sur Naples!)
25€ la salade buffet à midi c’est abuser, mais le,petit deueest net était copieux et de qualité . Les soins au spa sont top, à des prix raisonnables. Accès direct à la plage dessous, vue imprenable.

Soggiorno nella dependance: stanza molto grande, che tuttavia necessita di forti migliorie e ammodernamenti. Lo staff è molto gentile, la struttura immensa e con varie attività. Il mare è a circa 3 minuti di cammino tramite una stradina, alternativamente c'è un servizio navetta gratuito dell'hotel a orari cadenzati. Apprezzato anche il servizio gratuito per il porto di Forio. Ottimo cibo

Dal sito nn era chiaro che il \"relais\" era lontano dalla struttura. Il relais è una palazzina fatiscente... devo dire che una volta preteso lo spostamento presso la struttura principale, l-albergo offre dei buoni servizi.
