In its prime, this would have been a wonderful hotel. Close to the beach and amenities. It needs a bit of love and a good coat of paint. The room was not cleaned to a high standard, dust on the window sills. The blanket and sheets had yellow stains on it from body fluids. Staff was lovely enough but hotel needs some TLC

This was the most disappointing stay I’ve ever had. It’s a very tired hotel and much of the facilities were shutting down. Day time food was either non existent or poor. Hotel couldn’t organise a hire car. Taxis were impossible and although the hotel shuttle was available it cost every time . I spent over €130 on shuttles. Would not recommend to anyone

The hotel was lovely but too far from Bari city centre. Buses do not run on a Sunday to and from hotel to Bari and taxis are around €50 each way. Shuttle to and from airport convenient for €25. Breakfast very good for a buffet with twinning tea which is a bonus. Rooms are lovely but unfortunately if you like a cup of tea or coffee when you wake up there is no facilities in the room. I bought a small kettle as i had my own tea bags. They did have a hairdryer for us ladies though.

The property was nice, the beach area very quaint. The animatori were playing music and dancing. Hotel staff directed us to Giovinazzo for dinner which had a bunch of great options. The rooms were dated, mattress too firm but all around spacious.

The beach is not nice. Huge rocks, not easy to swim. Hard to get into pool. Only 1 small opening to get in. Inconvenient. Restaurant is mediocre. I had lobster pasta with tomato sauce and had to dig lobster out. The tail was non-existent, so pratically missing, and little meat. Got sauce all over my hands. Very messy. Room is small and my bathroom shower mat was wet before i even used it. For the price of $250 Canadian, this was a rip off.

David was helpful at the pool and reception bar. Breakfast is well managed —and tasty. Cleaning staff was helpful and kind. Antonio in animation was EXTREMELY helpful with kids!

The ocean access is great but the facilities are old and worn out. It’s a resort so they will try to squeeze out every cent out of you. Only one receptionist was polite (a bald man with tattoos) and professional. The rest were rude and dismissive, they wouldn’t even look up or make eye contact. I asked for some food at the bar and the barista got offended that she got it wrong and blamed me for it, then spoke to me like I was stupid as if I couldn’t properly communicate in English. Mistakes happen, but one has to know to be gracious to accept them.

The room was modernized and very clean. The daily breakfast was well organized with a good selection. The hotel felt overly subdued in that there were no live entertainment. We did not see any staff or people out by the pool or at the beach. While we understand that it’s off season, it would be nice to have coffee and bar service in the middle part of the day. The hotel needs new carpet and landscaping. A lot of dead vegetation and shrubs.

This is a Beach Club with accomodation. The property facilities are just below ok. A very fast renovation (carpets and some walls) would make this a fantastic property for all. But what's nice and breathtaking is the beach. Not a Caribbean beach but a clear and clean water with a perfect temperature.

Bare in mind that the day you are checking out they won't allow you to go to the beach. And you can only use it after checking in. So you will lose a day of beach club access.
And beach club staff clearly differentiate residents (there are some houses around) from hotel visitors. Although they send you at the end of the beach it is not necessarily a bad location (a bit far from the bar but 3 minutes walking slow). Breakfast is perfect. Great Italian and international dishes with lots of great Italian coffee.
In conclusion, we liked it. You will enjoy it as it is a great experience for the price.

We did think the beach would be more prominent even around Oct 1.

Weather would have worked however, seaweed was prominent along with little access to a sandy beach. We may not have realized that much of the Adriatic cost in this area is rocky with a few sandy spots.

This hotel was amazing but is quite isolated. I believe a note should be on their website to advise that own transport is recommended. Nearest shop of any kind is over 5km away. Aside from this beautiful grounds, rooms, amenities, great restaurant and bar , breakfast superb. Staff are very helpful and friendly. I will go back but will hire a car.

Superb escape in the Italian sunshine. Booked for the pool and proximity to Bari but barely used the pool (although lovely when we did) and our taxi to and from Bari was ridiculously expensive and wouldn’t recommend doing. The beach club area was BRILLIANT! Such a wonderful space to relax, eat, drink, play games and listen to music!
The room was simple but very clean and had a super comfy bed! Lovely and diverse breakfast spread and staff were delightful.

To go in the pool you have to wear a swimming cap, 2 euro charge. They also charge 3 euro for a towel.

The beach is not accessible as advertised and the restaurant at the “beach” is being renovated, which was very disappointing. The property is beautiful. The restaurant and bar are located right on the beach so you are a guaranteed an amazing view every time you visit them.

However, the restaurant does not seem to have set hours. We visited the restaurant 3-4 times during our stay and every night it seemed to open at a different time. In addition, we asked multiple staff members about the restaurant and no one seemed to know when the restaurant opened; it seemed as if the restaurant operated on its own schedule. Additionally, there were a few times when a private event was held in the restaurant. When we asked for a table the staff seemed like they didn't want to seat us and even recommended riding bicycles into town (Giovinazzo) for dinner. A simple sign or some sort of notification of a private event would avoid much confusion.

We booked a classic room and received a free upgrade. The room was amazing, recently renovated. The view was towards the nicely lit swimming pool. Bed and bedding were comfortable. As for the breakfast, it was one of the best I‘ve had in Puglia. The staff is extremely friendly, constantly trying to please you. Their parking is gated and under surveillance - a big plus!

If you want a relaxing holiday this is the perfect place, the room I stayed in could do with updating, I know some of them have been so it depends what you want to pay.
The staff are friendly and helpful, but maybe more information/more help would be useful if wanting to leave the hotel & eat elsewhere especially as I was travelling by myself.
You can’t use the swimming pool without a swimming cap, this could be highlighted more on Hotel information but the beach area is lovely.

Front desk personnel were very nice as was the shuttle driver. I would have like to have more assitance in boking a day trip, I really did not get any help. We did find a great guide on Tours by Locals, Roberto--highly recomend. As for the hotels resturants there was one for breakfast and one for dinner- the food was ok and service was as well. There is NOTHING near this hotel so the hotel resturant is realy your only option. Perhaps seating times or reservtauons would have helped? The second dinner there we did not get our drinks until we were more than half done with our meal, and even then we had to ask. Our appetizer and one main dish was served at teh smae time while I waited for my main dish. Servers were pleasant but clearly busy. Again, reservtaions or more ordganization may have helped. Rooms were nice- they were clean and the rooms had rolladens so easy to sleep in. Pools were nice dont forget to bring a swim cap as they are mandatory at 2euro each as are towels 2 euro to borrow with a 10 euro each deposit.

Just a quick overnight stay so I really can't say a lot. Beautiful hotel with professional staff. Taxi ride to the hotel costs thirty though because it's in a different town although it's very close. 10 minutes to the airport. Couldn't use the shuttle because we had an early flight. Costs were reasonable and the grounds were nice also.If I had it to do all over I may have stayed closer to airport in a section where the increase in cab fare wasn't too much. When I inquired while booking I was told it's fifteen. Since it was only an overnight I missed out on many of the amenities that may have made it worth it.

The beautiful location and faculty were only made better by the great woman at the front desk when we arrived quite late. she arranged to reopen the snack bar for a delicious late dinner and drinks right along the marvelous waterfront & beach area.
Air conditioning wasn't great, but that is Italy, and since we were driving, we had bought a small fan at the first stop - worked out very well!! would love to go back

You need swim hat for pool. Pool attendant forced wife to leave pool as she had a cotton hat that covered all hair even though we pointed out 2 people with baseball caps in pool along with 2 with none but they turned out to be friends of the pool attendant. He did nothing about the other people. Would not recommend Service was poor and staff arrogant probably because we were not Italian.

Nice hotel with private beach

When we arrived to Bari airport there were a bus waiting for us, the driver took us to the hotel so we didn't have to be bothered with the transport. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, our room was tidy. It's quite far from Bari central, but there are buses so it's not a problem to get there. I would recommend it to people who r looking for a peaceful holiday :)

Stay close to Bari Airport

The hotel is isolated north of Bari on the Adriatic. Off season everything is dead. The area is mixed resort and old derelict industry. Hotel transportation to airport is very limited. Taxi service is very expensive to anywhere including airport - cheaper to rent a car at the airport. Hotel staff were courteous and spoke English well. The facility was marginally clean but showed a lot of signs of aging. If you have transportation, this is an OK base to explore the region around Bari for a few days (we drove to Alberobello, Lecce, etc for short day trips). There is nothing to do at the hotel or in the area. Definitely not the place for a family vacation.

Rooms need an upgrade. The dining area by the beach was beautiful and the good was good. If the hotel rooms were upgraded to looke like the dining area it would be worth 3-4 stars. As Americans, we were unfamiliar with beach and pool protocol. Beach positions must be assigned despite being a guest at the hotel and pools require bathing caps that can be purchased. All in all once we adjusted, it was ok.

The shower curtain was broken, the room was very crowded (quadruple but not half as much space as the Premier Inn we stayed at the previous day for half the price). Given that all the advertising photos showed the swimming pool, we hadn't expected to have to pay an additional 20 euros to be able to use it.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Really convenient place to explore Puglia and the surrounding areas (we went to Trani and Alberobello, both great locations). The place is VERY Italian. If you don't speak Italian (we do), you may feel like a little of an outsider and not \"get\" some of the hotel activities (like Italian Karaoke and line dancing, but overall very nice.

Stay at the Riva del Sole

This is a budget hotel with good bus connections. It is a good place to tour from. There are 2 swimming pools and 3 restaurants, but only 1 of each open whilst we were there. The beach is concrete overlaid with chippings. They organised pick up and drop off from the airport which you pay for together with beach towel and use of pool. Some of the food was typical Italian, the majority of it was disappointing. The wine and coffee were excellent. The cleaners were very friendly, but the front office staff although they could speak good English were not particularly welcoming. The room had air con, mini bar, and a good sized bed, towels changed daily and the room was always cleaned well.

Wonderful stay

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at Riva del Sole. The staff were courteous, helpful, and efficient. The room was to our liking and the grounds were well manitained. In particular, the ristorante attached to the hotel was quite good and reasonable. Order the brie and speck pizza... spectacular!

Okay experience

We didn't have high expectations due to location in Italy. We did have some difficulty finding it late into the evening. It did have satelite TV which provided us with English speaking news...not so with several other stops. Our evening meal there was the most disappointing of the 10 day trip. Croissant & Expresso breakfast provided was good.

Three star rating is accurate

Hotel staff very courteous and helpful. Hotel geared for Italians, not tourists. Little English spoken. Advertized A.C. hardly works. Room often above 80deg.F. Room is small w/little space to sit. Beds are tough, thin matress on springs. Balcony not usable, very narrow. Beach is pleasant, but often has much floating seaweed. Food is great. Pop music is a disappointment. I would recommend this hotel keeping in mind that it has only a 3 star rating.

Struttura molto bella con molti spazi interni ed esterni fronte mare, personale sempre presente e super professionale, colazione dalle 06.30 di gran livello, efficenza impressionante, dal custode del parcheggio sorvegliato, alla signora delle pulizie

Très déçu par rapport aux photos présentées cet hôtel est probablement parfait car prévu pour l'été. Nous sommes allés fin septembre pas de page pas de repas dehors car il faisait très froid et le restaurant ressemblait à une cantine de petites entreprises et encore je suis gentil. Rien ne ressemblait à ce que j'attendais par rapport aux photos. Je venais fêter l'anniversaire de mon épouse et ne connaissant encore rien de ce qui m'attendait j'ai demandé à la réception pour le lendemain une table intime au restaurant pour fêter l'anniversaire lorsque j'ai vu la femme la veille j'ai compris que c'était pas l'endroit idéal. Une salle impersonnel éclairé ampoules économie d'énergie, table sans nappe, mur blanc comme un préau bref en 60 voyages dans le monde jamais nous avons eu une pareille salle de restaurant. Par contre nous avons trouvé dans le village voisin de Giovinazzo un restaurant extraordinaire. D'une cuisine gastronomique égale au meilleur restaurant je le conseille vivement aux résidents qui comme nous arriverait hors saison dans un hôtel sans âme.
Il s'agit du restaurant romanozz'is sur le petit port. Une soirée anniversaire inoubliable. Merci à son chef grâce auquel nous avons évité pour une pareille soirée la cantine de l'hôtel. Il faudrait que les photos soient réaliste car hors saison à éviter à tout prix

O hotel esta localizado perto do aeroporto, é limpo, café da manhã excelente, é a beira mar, tem transfer gratuito para o aeroporto. Possui um restaurante para o jantar, mediante pagamento e um bar à beira-mar com ótimos drinks, mediante pagamento também. Tudo perfeito.
