Design are dated and apparent in the carpet. They off the centralised aircon and only blowing warm air when it is 25degrees outside. Fan are limited and u have to live with it.

A welcome sight from the hotel room - overlooking the Tianjin Eye. The room was well kept and well position to see the Tianjin City.

Western feel in a Chinese Hotel

We stayed two nights during the 2024 New Years
Arrived around noon and was checked in right away.
The price was reasonable for the holiday season.

Location is near the train station, the river and walking distance to attractions. Considering it is an older hotel it shows some wear but the price compensates for it.

Breakfast and Dinner Buffet was good and convenient.
We used the pool and almost had it to ourselves.It's plenty big to lap swim.

Plenty of free bottled water also they brought some fruit to the room with no charge.

We had a good veiw of the river and city from our room.
Only complaint was the room was a bit to warm, better than to cold.

Having visited China over the past ten years I have stayed in quite a few hotels and realize Chinese hotels are not the same as the ones in the US this one comes close to a western hotel.

Only disppointment was with Tianjin it self. It's more crowded, the population has increased by 3 million people since my first visit and seemed dirtier than I remember.

I would recommend a stay here, but some you can never please.

Hotel should be demolished or refitted

This Holiday Inn was recommended to me by a business partner because of its convenient location for a meeting. It is an old and tired hotel covered in a thin layer of grime. The bathroom lighting is so dim I had difficulty shaving. I arrived on a late flight and there was basically nothing to eat by 11pm. The breakfast (which cost an extra $20) was not worth paying for. This hotel should be closed and either demolished or completely refitted. Next time I will stay somewhere less convenient.

Friendly, polite and helpful staff. Large and varied choice at buffet breakfast. Amazing views of the city at night with a must do walk down the side of the river. Bar in lobby with live entertainment

Negatives would be ….its a trek to the nearest metro station (a line is under construction). Our room was dirty, and VERY tired. Cigarette burns in furniture and carpets ( in a non smoking room)

A perfect location with a view

The location couldnt be better. And room with the riverview can be highly recommended. But airconditioner was not working and it was too hot inside. Up to 30 roomtemperature affectef sleep. The Restaurant seafood buffet was not good. Food was cold and very limited variety. Fortunately there were plenty of options near by.

When booking our stay I was looking for a hotel that had a good reputation, hotel price was good and had free breakfast in the package. We found this at Holiday Inn Tianjin Riverside.
The room was large and very nice. We ate at Cafe Venice for supper the first night and liked the buffet. The breakfast buffet was good, too.
If you plan to walk and see the sights of the city there is a lot of walking. We did take the subway but there is no subway stop close to the hotel.
Overall a very good hotel! Thank you Holiday Inn!

Overall good

Difficult to be served in any other language than Chinese. Unfortunately not a lot of resource for the guests who would like to book tours in Tianjin or Beijing. The key personnel who was the most helpful was Joe; many thanks to him for his support.

We arrived for 2 nights during a business trip to China. The hotel had some problems with the a/c system which over heat the rooms. They found that my room was 29 degrees Celsius (while outside is less then 8)...

Just in front of the Eye Of Tianjin, Next to a Temple and a old style traditional Clothes market. Next to the river perfect to ttake a trip in the boat around Tianjin.

Great location and wonderful service.

I am really impressed with the size and comfort of the rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. A nice swimming pool and great buffet breakfast. Beautiful views of the river. Would definitely stay here again.

Love this hotel, I say here every time :)

Ideal location, all the sights are within walking distance. Those further away are a short can ride away (less than 15y to most places). The staff is super accommodating; concierge service is the best for organizing dinner reservations, taxis and such for our large group of teachers. I will go back here and only here, again and again!

Wonderful stay at Holiday Inn Riverside.

The staff at this hotel was absolutely wonderful.What we thought was an abandoned department store turned out to be a wonderful bazaar of clothing and linens, both off the rack and custom made. I wish I had brought extra suitcases to fill. Great little shops, wonder river walk right across from the hotel, near by park, an easy walk to Ancient culture street. If you are an American (as we are) expect to treated like a rock star! We had our pictures taken with so many wonderful people and their children. The food is typical of an Asian country. Almost everything is served at room temperature and even though it has a theme-American, German, Italian-it isn't. Its the Asian version which may bare very little resemblence to its foreign counter part. The exception was the Hamburgers we had delivered to the room and one of the best steaks I have ever had served off the menu. We loved the breakfast buffet, but we arrived at exactly 6 am when it opens because I didn't want to eat food that had been sitting at room temperature for a couple of hours. The staff was eager to help and please and they will happily bring you ice for your drink. I can't say enough nice things about this hotel.

On the river in Tianjin

We stayed one night at the Holiday Inn in Tianjin. The hotel staff member who helped us check-in was friendly and courteous, and the hotel itself was very nice. The location of the hotel is on the river and next to the Tianjin Eye ( big ferris wheel). The only disappointment was the pizza that we ordered through room service, since it was very small and not the best value. Breakfast, however, was very good. They had a large spread of food, which included European style breakfast, Chinese style breakfast, and American stlye breakfast.

Our stay at the Holiday Inn - Riverside was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the great room, buffet breakfasts and the lounge was relaxing. The location to the river and walkway was a nice perk. It was easy to walk along the river and enjoy the architecture and other sights along the way. The only regret was the weather was not the best. We will definitely be back.

Stayed for two nights on personal trip. Clean, efficient, modern hotel with English speaking staff. Quick and easy check in. Nicely set out room with reasonable comfortable king size bed. Restaurant was a pleasant surprise, decent choice of Western food and good service. Plenty of car parking including underground car park. I would definitely stay here again. Only down side is hotel very hard to find on set nav if you are driving. A good map on the web site would help a lot.

Does not meet up to Holiday Inn standard

No Metro station or shopping nearby, only near river,Tianjin Eye and wholesale centre. Breakfast was good, good spread. A few points of feedback:
1.When we reached the hotel, no one was at the door, when we asked for someone to help with our luggages, a young, small lady came! My husband felt bad to let her handle the luggage, so we took it ourselves and went to the room on our own.
2.We paid for 3 pax and would expect 3 sets of towels, toiletries and etc but No! We were in Park Plaza Beijing for 5 nites prior to Tianjin, everything came in 3 sets without us asking, even the daily mineral water.
3. The conceirge is not informative,she only knows places around the hotel, other than that she has no idea.
Most places of interest and shopping mall are not nearby, you have to take a taxi.

Tianjin Riverside hotel

This hotel is in a great location overlooking the river and very convenient for sightseeing, the staff were very helpful in helping with directions and ideas to what to see and how to get there, it was nice to walk along the river bank both day and night.

The hotel is very clean and modern, our room was large with a nice view over the river and city, we were there for 3 days and found the food in the Chinese restaurant very good and not expensive like most hotels.

The staff spoke good English and I would definitely stay here again.

When we mentioned we need Taxi,

When we mentioned we need Taxi, the hotel front door ladies can run to the main road to call for Taxi for you under the summer sun which impressed me very much, especially in China. And the Taxi called by them all charge according to the meter reading. All other staff we met are very polite & friendly. Excellent hotel with excellent people.

I have stayed at this location two times and will continue to come back. The staff is great and the facility is wonderful, location is convenient, and parking is plentiful. The restaurant food is plentiful and the restaurant staff work hard to keep you happy.

I was there with 2 friends from May 19 to 22. It is a new hotel and the pool is not fully done yet so we could not spend time there. Ther fitness room is open but did not want to go as the surrounding was still messy and full of grit and dirt. The room is spacious and comfortable. We had to change room becuase of the blocked toilet after the second day. As it is located on the other side of the river and we had to travel by taxi for sight seeing. Having said that, the Compassion Temple is just around the corner of the hotel, and a shopping mall adjacent to it which makes up the odds. Staffs are friendly, courteous and helpful. I would consider to stay there again.

주변에 아무것도 없어요

주변에 아무것도 정말 없어요. 변두리고 오로지 텐진아이 하나인데...이거 하나 보려고 여기에 묵지는 않을거같아요
편의시설 하나 없습니다. 시설도 오래되어서 깨끗하지 않아요. 그런데 가격은 비싼편~~ 3명이 한방에서 묵으려면 혹시 가성비가 있을 듯 하네요

체크인을 여유 있게 3시 넘어서 갔는데도 불구하고 방청소가 안되어있다며 20분을 넘게 로비에서 기다렸으며, 전망 좋은 방을 예약했으나, 예약한 방과 다른방을 주었다. 너무 피곤해서 컴플레인 없이 그냥 배정받은 방에서 2박을 지냈다. 직원들은 영어도 할줄 알고 친절했다.

가성비 대비 좋은 숙소지만 조식은 비추

스페셜 뷰로 신청해서 톈진아이를 볼 수 있을 줄 알았는데 그냥 씨티뷰만 봤습니다. 톈진아이를 보고 싶으시면 요청 칸에 꼭 쓰시길 바랍니다. 룸은 대체적으로 넓고 쾌적하지만 매트리스가 좀 오래됐는지 내려 앉았습니다. 방음은 잘 되는 편이고 대신 물소리가 좀 납니다. 그리고 조식은 꼭 드시고 싶은 경우가 아니면 먹지마세요. 사이트에서 147위안인거 보고 선택안했다가 체크인하면서 100위안 소리 듣고 덜컥 신청했다가 요거트만 두개 먹고 나왔습니다. 음식이 퀄리티가 진짜 별로에요. 차라리 100위안 들고 KFC가서 먹는게 훨 나아요. 조식은 리얼 비추천입니다.

텐진아이나 고문화거리 이탈리아 거리 등 주요관광지를 걸어서 이동할수 있는 위치라 매우 좋습니다.
대신 한국말을 할줄 아는 직원이 없어서 조금 아쉽습니다.. ㅠ 그래도 매우 만족하는 수준입니다.

酒店很好!职员和清洁員工很好也有礼!感谢!但很美中不足就是在酒店门口的计程車司机太坑客了，我在高德地图上，显示去天津机场的車费是42元，但我见门口有计程車便直接被司机拉上了車直往机场，到达机场后一看竟是84元，我便知上了黑車，足足是一倍的車费!!當天还是星期一早上的十点多，道路也不堵车，计程车司机也太坑人了;在天津还有多次上車時，司机表示不打錶，直接开高价，以我在内地所见，天津这些计程車司机应该是全国第一名了!

喜欢这家酒店的外部环境，每到夜晚酒店的灯光与天之眼交相辉映很美。内部大厅也较有气派。服务也很到位，能及时满足客户的需求！尤其是存放行李解决了我出市办事的麻烦。非常感谢！不过这家酒店的早餐太过昂贵，是否可以把价格在放低些。
