The room and bathroom are old and are in dire need of renovations and updating. Very cramped room considering it was a suite. The shower stall in the bathroom was barely enough for me, not sure how my husband managed there..it also allowed eater to leak/ seap onto the floor of the bathroom. Breakfast was the saving grace..was very good! I only booked here because Comwell in Roskilde was fully booked due to Christmas holidays..will not return here unless the facility is renovated in entirety. Staff is friendly.

Quiet and convenient

on a trip to Denmark with family, including two younger children. This hotel made a great places stay in Roskilde.
Close to all major attractions, quiet, and clean, easy parking.
Decent breakfast in the morning too!
The mattresses in the beds were a bit uncomfortable but not a deal breaker.
Cute play area for the kids in the lobby.
Would stay again.

Stayed three days. As would not refund last day. They never cleaned our room after the first day and we were gone all day. Restaurant food was good. I loved how they kept the boiled egg yolks runny. But would have rather stayed the last night in Copenhagen where we are now.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with the location next to a city park being an unexpected delight. We loved the awesome breakfast, as well and the delightful outdoor lounge with incredible colorful flowers adjacent to the park. The location quite close to the Viking Museum, Cathedral and shoppind district made it very convenient. We'd definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately we both contracted Covid when we arrived and had to quarantine for four days in our room. The hotel doesn't do room service meals but they made an exception for us and let us order from the main menu and then delivered. All of the staff were very good and helped us through this difficult time. The hotel was lacking in a few minor areas but I can't emphasize enough how good and helpful the staff were.

Tidy room and cozy breakfast

Just enough space in the room to not feel cramped like in many European hotels. A very neatly organized and corona-friendly breakfast buffet with most items served in charming little glass jars. Friendly and helpful staff, also willing to bring me one of the breakfast dishes without some ingredients I'm allergic to.

Newly refurbished hotel. My initial room smelled of paint as still very new, but they were happy and kindly moved me. Staff were all excellent, the main issue was that although very expensive you get literally no amenities beyond an extra pillow and two small plastic cups to drink from. Some toiletries and a kettle with tea/coffee would better reflect the highly priced rooms even for Denmark. It is very much budget level in terms of included amenities, but the beds and hotel itself are very comfortable. Location isn’t central but still easily walkable to local amenities.

A great hotel in Roskilde!

Scandic Roskilde Park is a very nice hotel and the staff was very helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast which was included in the room price was fantastic, everything you could think of. The hotel was being renovated while we stayed (rooms painted, etc.) which can only improve its appeal. If you are into walking it's about a half hour walk to the Viking Ship Museum and the Roskilde Cathedral, or a short drive. We can highly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel with a few loose ends.

Convenient location, friendly staff, very good breakfast with many options. As with many hotels in Europe they do not provide washcloths in the bathroom. And in this case there was no floor mat either. Room was clean but a bit bare-bones. Internet was on the slow side and appeared to go down at certain times a day. During our three days several tour groups came and went. Parking was adequate with easy in and out. While we were there, their laundry service was on vacation so we have to go elsewhere to clean our clothes.

Perfect hotel in Roskilde

We are a family of 4, with two kids under 10. They love hotels in Europe just for the bunk beds. The room was great, with easy access to all Roskilde has to offer.

Breakfast was included, and very impressive. The staff was very nice, the room and hotel were clean and good for our family.

Scandinavian chain hotel about 15 minutes walk from the train station and about 10 minutes walk from the old town and cathedral. Friendly staff and efficient check in. Basic room, which might qualify as 'Ikea chic'. But bed comfy. Internet worked fine. Buffet breakfast with good choice of items.

This is a mediocre hotel that is remote

We were disappointed by our stay. The hotel was located far from the historic center, the main parking lot was full and the overflow parking lot was hard to find, the hotel lacked air conditioning and the room was too hot to sleep in comfortably. There were only 2 pillows for our large bed, we requested more and the desk said they had no extra pillows! We ended up concluding Scandic must be shorthand for scarcity.

Spartan rooms, great food

We stayed in Roskilde since our week of meetings were in a town nearby. The hotel is not that near many businesses, restaurants, etc., unless you walk the mile or so to the town center. The rooms are pretty spartan.

The breakfast buffet was substantial, with many options. The dinners were a surprise. I thought they were delicious, excellently prepared and well presented. It was quite the nice dining experience right there.

Modern style hotel near a nice walking path and park that brings you to central train/bus stations. Easy walk to tourist sights from the station area. Room was comfortable with 2 twin beds, TV, good wifi, nice bathroom and closet space. Breakfast is included and had a good selection of hot, cold, yogurt station, desserts.

We stayed for only one night, the room is a bit small in size, but the service is very very good. The male staff at the front desk was very helpful and efficient. I had noticed that he is the only staff to take care of everything when we were checking in, but when he saw us, he run to the front desk to help, so everything turns good impression when you met such good service. No complaints at all!

Modern hotel in Roskilde

It is a nice hotel in 10-12 min walk from station and the centre with all restaurants. The rooms are clean, quite, but not of a very large size as typical in Europe. Hotel has a nice buffet breakfast, gym and sauna. Free WiFi.The staff is very nice. I would stay in this hotel again.

Great for a North American family

The room was small by North American standards (as are all rooms in Europe). The beds for the kids were Murphy-bunk beds. A bit crowded when opened but folded back up into the wall in the day time. Kids (5 and 7) thought they were great. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had enough variety that we could find something for our 2 very picky eaters. Staff was very friendly. It was our first night in Europe and when my son could not sleep with the time change, I brought him down to the lobby where an older man working the night shift helped calm him by giving him water and learning basic Danish phrases. Free parking.

My family of 4 (2 adults + 2 children) stayed in a \"Family Room\" (1 double bed, 2 single beds) in 6/2015.
The location was good for us since we have a car - close to the freeway and with free parking.
However, the \"Family Room\" was small even by European standards. It was the same size as a regular room with 1 double bed, but they simply attached 2 folding beds to a wall (bunk bed configuration). The room was very cramped. In addition the room had poor ventilation and had a large number of dust bunnies on the floor. Overall, it was an uncomfortable stay.
The 3 positives: 1) free wifi, 2) free parking, 3) included breakfast was similar to an English breakfast (hot food, Danish pancakes made to order).

Conflicting messages and service

For a one night visit in Roskilde we booked a superior room for two people and expected a substantially better service. The room was ready, but only had one pillow, one set of towels and one bathrobe. We asked to get a second set and were told that we'd have to collect it at the reception (which we did). When we checked in we were told that breakfast on Sunday morning would be available until 11 am. We checked this later in the evening as all other written information was stating 10 am and the front desk confirmed that it was 11 am. When we came to breakfast at 10.10 all had been cleared and we were told that breakfast had finished. Only when a second resident came asking about the 11 am breakfast did the staff reluctantly bring out some cheese and meat, but no longer any hot food. Staff kept apologising but made very little effort to provide an adequate breakfast. For the relatively high price this was the culmination of an unsuccessful visit, especially as we had received much better service at a much more reasonably priced hotel in the days before.

Det var otroligt varmt på rummet. Det var visserligen under sommaren, men inte en särskilt varm dag. När vi påtalade detta sa personalen att det var så i alla rum, och att detta var ett problem med hotellet. ingen kompensation erbjöds.
Väldigt tråkigt område, men säkert praktiskt om man åker bil.
Mycket bra frukost dock.

Det fanns inga plastpåsar i sopbehållarna vilket blir äckligt och luktar illa och är även inte bra för integriteten.
Bodde två nätter och det var ingen städning eller förfrågan om städning eller information vilket var dåligt.

Ikke air condition, ikke kjøleskap, alt for myke senger, barnefingermerker på vinduene, TV i «oppholdsavdelingen» fungerte ikke, skitten avtrekksvifte på bad og heller ingen gulvvarme på badet. Frokost OK, men ingen stor opplevelse. Lite trafikkstøy i rom mot parken.

Very nice, cosy and comfortable. Delicious fresh home made breakfast and the personal is kind and always willing to help. I was at Roskilde on business, rented bikes to move around town. Train station is about 20mins walk, might be easier to rent a car to facilitate mobility in town if you are on a schedule.
