It’s always a great place to stay here. There is a shopping center downstairs, restaurant, grocery. Staff is always welcoming. The breakfast buffet is very good which includes traditional foods.

Staff is quite friendly.
But the aircon is not so cool during day time.
We lost our way when finding the lift for the first time. There is no sign or staff to guide us.

Not a Superior room.

Room did not look like a superior room that i had originally booked. Curtains were ripped and did not close fully. could here the children making noise next door plus they kept trying to open the connecting door to our room. Faucet in bathroom sink leaking all over the bench. Cockroach in the shower during showering. Wall paper coming off the walls.

The front desk staff was not professional in dealing thr guests. There were two frond desk staff and two of two guests including me. One staff entertaining the other guest, and I was standing in front of one of the staff, he was busy working on his pc, I hv to wait him finish his work, while waiting more guests coming behind me. Then when he looks up front, he just talked to the guest behind me and entertain him instead of me and ignored me. I felt unwelcome and dispointed.

As with most of the hotels in Indonesia I stayed it’s ok but the definition of stars is different than I am used in Europe. Overall good service.

The facilities are completely old which cannot match with its 5 stars ranking. The attitudes of the staffs are completely poor , slow motion and not motivated to work. We felt not welcomed.

The hotel is placed well in terms of access to this city. I am vegetarian and Bollywood Food Center is walking distance from this hotel. Bollywood Food Center is in a street adjacent to Sun Plaza mall

Well trained, & very professional staff

We stayed at the Cambridge Hotel on 2 separate occasions within a week apart. On my return stay, the staff who checked me in remembered me & upgraded my room to a higher floor for more comfort, which I appreciate.

Comfortable hotel with good location

Hotel has a great location but lack of security from the doors which link to the shopping mall. The front desk staff were not eloquent with English. The room we stayed was spacious and clean. Buffet breakfast spread was good. The in-room massage option is great when you are feeling so tired and lazy to go down to their spa centre and walk back to your room after you're done. It's one of the best value for money hotel.

Good overnight stay at comfortable hotel

Had a great stay and all great with hotel except food served at room service. The rubber oxtail soup was not chewable and could not even eat. Surprised any chef would let such a dish out of their kitchen. I complained to waiter staff when take it but they just apologize. Not offer replace or not charge even not eat it. Anyways the hotel itself is great. Maybe find food near hotel as many options

The hotel staff didn't seem to be aware of the services or specials it offered on the TV screen in the room. We asked reception where the High Tea was and they didn't know - maybe our kiwi accent was a problem. The barman in the view bar didn't know what the happy hour offer was and there were no signs up regarding it.
At the buffet dinner in the rendezvous restaurant the food was luke warm and although coffee machines and cups were on display this was only available for breakfast and no signs were up explaining this. The service fee was added to the bill without asking us about it.
Overall the staff were pleasant and the room and facilities were good but better communication and staff knowledge would have improved the experience.

Good 3.5 star hotel

good breakfast but the restaurant is packed with crowd during morning breakfast. I rate this hotel 3.5 star as it lack of security as it is very common for the outsiders to go into the hotel / rooms without any security checks.

Good hotel but there was downs and sad back which could improve.fridge was not working and rooms dark need additional lights.shower bidet was licking and was replace.could improve for better 5 start hotel.after so much of complains of ironing wire was short circuit and fridge was not working there was not even a complimentary fruits for thanks givin or some drinks was offered as 4 sad backs findings was faulty.

The hotel front desk staff was kind to upgrade me and my guests to the next room category. Hotel has extensive breakfast selection and was connected to Cambridge Mall which made grocery shopping at great convenience.

On a side note, the internet is very unstable and I have to login repeatedly to get access.

Pleasant surprise to be upgraded to the Junior Suite, the room is big and renovated.
I went for a 90 min massage which was pleasant and relaxing.
I called for room service and staff kindly made a special meal (grilled oxtail with soup and rice) as I do not want spicy food.

The only booboo was a suddent blackout around midnight, for 1 min, when I was about to sleep.
That freaked me out, and I had to sleep with all the lights and TV on..

This stay can be more restful if not the blackout

It was a stop over, 1-nite stay. There was a party going on and it was not quiet. However, once in the room, the noise was dampened. Had pizza at the cafe on the level that oversees the city. Food was quite tasty.

Good neighbourhood. Great breakfast. BUT- the room could do with some more regular checking of the management. The a/c setting is pointless- either it is on and freezing- or you cant breath as one cannot open any windows.
The carpets and curtains need urgent cleaning.
One curtain did not even open.
Wireless does not work in the room.
I had a room on the 21 st floor but at night I could still hear the music and base from the 25th floor bar!
The hotel is way overpriced for what it is.

Wonderful hotel

The staff were very nice and friendly. They answered evert question with ease and informed us very accurately on prices.
The cakes were delicious.
The breakfast was a buffet feast and varied daily.
The room was spacious, luxurious and very clean.
A pleasure to stay and good value for money.

Great hotel for business and leisure

Centrally located within Medan, next to shopping center and easy to get a taxi from across the road (from hotel entrance) is a plus. The Edge restaurant located on top floor offers great views over Medan. Only complaint is the air conditioning, it feels rather warm even i set the temperature to 15 deg.! Breakfast offered is ok (borderline so-so), hopefully the hotel management take notice on this.
