I am an owner of a company in the service industry. There were two staff in particular that made my visit exceptional - Ajay (pool area) and Palwinder (sardarji at front desk). When I first entered the lobby, Palwinder was professional and provided excellent customer service. When I walked through the lobby various times, he always acknowledged and greeted myself and other guests. I highly recommend staying here. There is a view of the taj mahal from the skydeck. In the pool area, you can order drinks, food, etc.

Something very unusual: Most rooms don't have a window to the outside. Instead, the window goes to the hallway. To secure your privacy you have to close the curtains all day. No daylight at all. Other than that it's a good hotel with some patina.

We have had a wonderful stay at the Tajview Hotel. Our room is lovely, with an amazing view of the Taj Mahal. The swimming pool is perfect for a refreshing swim after a day of sightseeing. Best of all was dinner at the rooftop restaurant, Sky Deck, where we enjoyed a delicious vegetarian platter (special thanks to Head Chef Krishna). Such a special memory to enjoy a lovely dinner with a view of the Taj Mahal at sunset
All the staff have been so warm and welcoming, especially Sebastian at reception and Amit at the Sky Deck restaurant. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for a visit to the Taj Mahal. Unfortunately the room booked was very dirty and cleanliness was an issue. Dirty pillow covers and bathroom. We reported immediately and cleaners were sent, however this wasn't a great first impression. Eventually our room was changed to a bigger cleaner room with a view of the Taj Mahal, which was a nice gesture.
If visiting the Taj Mahal it's a convenient location and only 5mins ride in a rickshaw.

Good hotel but the food and drinks were way overpriced for what you got.

It had a great pool and lovely, attentive staff and wasn’t far from the Taj Mahal.

Having said that I would not recommend venturing out of the hotel, there are aggressive people on you as soon as you leave the hotel. Use uber or the hotels transportation (but that again is very over priced).

All in all I’d recommend staying here as it’s a bit of an oasis in the madness of Agra, but be aware of the over priced food and drink

We had a lovely stay at Tajview Agra. From the moment we entered the hotel, we were greeted so warmly and made to feel welcome. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade to a king room with a view of the Taj Mahal — which was truly appreciated and made our stay even more special.

The room was spacious, very comfortable, and well-appointed. The hotel overall is clean, classy, and beautifully maintained. After a long day visiting the Taj Mahal and touring Agra city, the relaxing poolside area was the perfect place to unwind.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Agra — it truly enhanced our experience.

The room was nice, but we had a couple of issues that were the reason we did not give the hotel 4 stars.

First, the AC in the room really did not work. The room always felt hot even at night. We were upgraded to a junior suite on the top floor, but the temperature in the room was not pleasant. The other issue was that on the Saturday there was an Indian wedding in the pool/garden area below our room and for many hours in the afternoon and into the late evening we heard very loud music and booming bass. We did call the front desk at about 20:30 and they said they would ask them to turn down the bass, which they did… a little. It was after 10pm before it was quiet.

The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. The breakfast buffet was mostly Indian food, but they had pastries and fruit. There was a refrigerator in the room, but it was not cold at all. The rainfall shower was amazing though! It is just 5 minutes or so from the Taj Mahal, which was convenient.

Nice hotel with Taj Mahal view from rooftop bar. Good location for visiting the Taj Mahal with good restaurants a short drive away. You do still hear some road noise as the hotel is on a main road but it is minimal. Rooms clean and staff are friendly. Breakfast was nice and the hotel can make you a packed breakfast if you need to leave the hotel before breakfast starts. There are also some resident dogs who are very friendly.

Everything at this property was wonderful! Unfortunately I had gotten sick before coming and they would frequently offer to bring soothing hot drinks to the room. They could easily accommodate the fact that I have difficulty with spicy food. They helped us to arrange days out and transpiration. Overall a fantastic experience! The property is let down by some delayed maintenance and upkeep—for example: the gym had minimal equipment and no towels or sanitizing wipes. There were several dead flies and the steam room was not functional. Minibar in the room was empty and TV was not functional. Shelves in the room were dusty, which dirtied one of my shirts. Decent experience overall, but not consistent with a 5 star hotel.

On arrival to the hotel the staff were very welcoming and professional. All the staff were smartly dressed. We were offered a paid upgrade to a suite with a beautiful view of the Taj Mahal. We were then shown to our suite by the gentalment at reception. The suite was fitted with a large oval bath, shower and toilet and a separate vanity toilet. Every thing was clean and tidy. Fully air conditioned and we were presented with a welcome gift of chocolates. All the staff were very helpful and provided us with extra bottles of water with no fuss. We ate on the Sky Deck which was located on the rooftop with a fabulous view of the Taj Mahal. The waiters and chef that were on that evening were very helpful but regrettably we can not remenmber their names. As we were the remaining guests on the rooftop we requested them to turn off the music so we could soak up the ambience of our surroundings. They brought over bug repelent incense around us but unfortunatley the bugs love me for breakfast, lunch and evening meal. So if you are like me please use extra spray. The Food was excellent in both the rooftop and at breakfast. This Hotel has a 5 start rating and very much deserves it. The surrounding area doesnt do it any favours but the hotel in our opinion was exceptional.

An experience we will cherish.

We stayed at Tajview, Agra IHCL SeleQtions from 30th to 31st July 2025 and had a truly memorable experience. The ambience was wonderful, and the warmth of the staff made our short stay very special.

The team was incredibly friendly and attentive. The buffet manager took great care of us and ensured everything was perfect. I was especially impressed to meet staff members who have been with the hotel for decades. We met Raju (37 years with the group), and a lovely lady who has been there for 17 years. Their dedication and long service speak volumes about how well the management treats its people. All the staff we interacted with were amazing, helpful, and always smiling.

A highlight of our stay was the time my younger son spent with the hotel’s friendly pets, Max and Maya. He adored them and still misses them dearly. This thoughtful touch added a homely charm to our stay, and we only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy more.

The breakfast spread was very good, and once again the staff made the experience delightful with their care and hospitality. Amit (Catering) was caring and friendly and the service was first class

Overall, Tajview felt warm, welcoming, and full of genuine hospitality. This is an experience we will cherish.

The property lacks charm and its restaurants options are clearly overpriced for the quality you get. We had dinner on the rooftop which offers a view of Taj Mahal; while expensive, menu was limited and food was disappointing. Breakfast buffet quality was also largely below average.
The room was clean and functional. We had however to request the staff to open our door systematically as our magnetic card would not work, which was annoying.
Location is fine as main sites are relatively close by car.

The hotel is beautiful, our room was spacious, and the bathroom was modern and roomy. The bed and pillows were quite comfortable. Our minibar, which was complimentary, was lacking. It had very few drinks and snacks, with many open cubbies that had not been replenished. The rooftop restaurant food was ok, but not the gourmet kitchen the hotel boasts of. It is by far one of the nicest properties in the area, and the staff are all warm and helpful. The breakfast buffet was quite good, as were the cocktails. The hotel also had two resident yellow labs, Max and Maya, who are cute as can be. Our guide for the TakMahal easily found us and brought us to the Taj gates by tuktuk, and this hotel is perfectly close if, like us, you are in Agra to visit the Taj Mahal.

Staff were able to hold luggage until check in time and also hold luggage after check out until our train time. I booked a room for our family of 4, with meals, and it was one of the best decisions. It was a great dinner and breakfast buffet that we all loved. Perfect to visit Taj very early in am and get back to hotel for buffet breakfast and then head back to Agra Fort, Baby Taj etc and then head back for dinner buffet. Would highly recommend it for anyone’s once in a lifetime visit to Taj Mahal.

The Taj View very quickly became the most incredible hotel I have ever stayed at in my entire life. Quite simply they are a luxury hotel that doesn’t treat you like VIP, they treat you like FAMILY! By the end of our first day every single service member knew who we were BY NAME, which room we were staying in, why we were visiting Agra, and even took time to remember small little facts about us. For example, they noticed after I handed them my passport that it was my birthday a day prior, by the time we got to the room it was decorated, sweet treats were brought up, a reservation was made for us at the Sky Deck, and a birthday cake was brought out to celebrate at the end of our dinner. Every service member stopped what they were doing throughout the day to wish me a happy birthday!

The best part of the stay though was easily Max and Maya, the hotel dogs! They were so friendly and sweet. As someone who has a major soft spot for animals, being in India was difficult with seeing all the street dogs. We were greeted at the door of the Taj View by sweet Maya and the moment I was told I could pet her my heart melted like ice in Delhi heat! The staff noticed my love for the dogs and made sure anytime we made our way into the lobby that they were both released so I could pet them. They followed us around and we enjoyed their company immensely.

We booked our Taj Mahal experience through the Taj View as well. I am EXTREMELY satisfied with this experience. It’s worth booking!

This is not a 5 star property, barely a 3 star. It’s worn down and needs modernizing. I had dirty towels on arrival and the seal was broken on the shower so would flood the floor when used. Housekeeping decided to randomly cover the bed with a message in leaves, but although the intention was there, after a long hot day in the sun you just want to get in bed and not have to clean it all before you do. Food was ok but ridiculously expensive so wasn’t of any value. I ate on the rooftop and was told to book in as it’d get busy, I was the only person and there was no lights so you couldn’t even see the food, and there’s no point as the Taj is not illuminated, little touch lamps would work, which I received in other cities - but Gagan was a great waiter and made the meal pleasant. Sebastian and of course Max and Maya (4 legged welcome party) were the standout, but on the whole was very disappointed in the hotel.

I had a lovely time at this hotel. At first, I was skeptical in booking because as an Amercian, I the name of the hotel wasn't familiar. But this hotel was exceptional. I had book Hyatt in a different location which I regretted. If I had knew about this Taj chain, I would have booked in all the cities I visited. Excellent room. Thye upgraded my room, and they breakfast menu was above a beyond. Even, they room service food was excellent. I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat.

This is a really comfortable hotel near to the Taj Mahal. The breakfast buffet was great and the pool outside was beautiful and relaxing. The view of the Taj Mahal is ok but spoit by the railway line you are better off going with the cheaper pool side rooms which are also quieter and away from traffic noise.

We were at this hotel for two nights as part of our honeymoon in January. The room was very large with two bathrooms! There was a standalone tub and a separate shower. We were staying for our honeymoon and when we walked in the room, there was a welcome cake, some snacks, and the bed was beautifully decorated. That really made our day. The breakfast was good and there were European/American and Indian options. The only drawback was that we could not see the Taj Mahal due to fog, but that is certainly not the hotel’s fault. We would return.

Staff is very helpful - front desk , around the hotel and dinning . Dinner and breakfast was good with multiple fresh choices. It’s a pet friendly property and my children were in love with the two labs at the hotel.
My son was ill overnight the staff was very helpful in extending our checkout hours and were concerned about his wellbeing. Felt very safe as I was travelling on my own with my boys and aged mum.
Swimming pool facilities was ok and the lobby is very relaxing with live classics music in evening and mornign hours. Excellent view from the roof top of Taj. It’s 5 mins away from the attractions.
Welcome mithai platter was excellent.

Only issue is that the aircon made me feel was dusty. I’m very sensitive to dust so can sense it easily. Staff helped vacuum etc but it’s not the room floor as it was sparkling clean. It was the aircon.

The property was very convenient located in front of the main road in Agra, but this perhaps could be a bad thing if you happens to choose a room not facing to the pool (as we did), Indian loving for the horn will stay up until late night. The pool was very good, and the view from the roof terrace to the Taj Mahal was great.
