The homestay is a real hidden gem. Tucked away in a quiet street round the corner from the main road and just a 5 minute walk to the Taj Mahal parking area (where you can jump on a shuttle to the gate). The homestay stands out as quite spectacular in its environment and once inside it’s like entering another realm. Absolutely stunning - from the warmth of the reception to the rooftop lounge (yes with views of the Taj!) it’s all 5 stars. Every member of the team was pleasant, helpful and did everything possible to make our stay delightful. The food was quite amazing and if you are staying in Agra to visit for a day or 2 then don’t look anywhere else! Top class and amazing value at the price we paid. Thank you Amman and team!

5 star service from this hotel from the moment we arrived in Agra station. Organised a taxi from the train station, driver Babloo, was a godsend given the chaos outside the station
Met by Aman at reception and Ashish who took our bags to our rooms
Friendly, efficient and receptive to all our needs
Aman organised our guide, Muhammad, who was knowledgeable and a great asset whilst visiting Taj Mahal & Agra Fort
Aman’s mother, Rajanna is a fantastic cook and we had the most wonderful vegetarian food with hot chapatis
Breakfast with parathas is a must, served by the smiling Saif
Rooftop bar with views of Taj Mahal at sunset was the icing on the cake

Room was a bit small for 3 people but well maintained and clean. We LOVED the rooftop oasis. It had a view of the Taj Mahal as a bonus. The food was delicious and the staff was so welcoming. Very convenient location. Highly recommend.

At first, I chose this place because it was named after me ^^ but I was honestly VERY impressed. The place is extremely clean, and the staff are so helpful — they even help you arrange tours directly from the homestay. The shower is amazing, and the food is too good! It honestly reminded me of my mum’s cooking. I would definitely recommend Aman Homestay to anyone visiting Agra!

The people were so kind and the service was great. Rooms were comfy and it was a great location for visiting the Taj. We had both dinner and breakfast there and the food was really good, tasty and speedy. Rooms were good with nice bathrooms, comfy beds and good amenities and there is a nice rooftop where you can sit and have a drink. I would highly recommend.

Everything about this hotel was amazing! The family, the staff, the property amenities with the rooftop patio. We had an amazing home cooked communal dinner with fellow guests from around the world. The set dinner is so good! Highly recommend, do ask for 'less spice' if you like mild, it's not very spicy but for western tourist, try milder.

Try the aloo paratha for breakfast 😋

Got my laundry done here as well. Hands down the best indian food ive had on my entire trip. Healthy food, fresh and amazing quality. It is cooked with the most love. The family is so sweet. Loved the mother, son and sister. The room is super nice. Loved all the Toto fixtures. Loved their quick and superior service. Loved their chais. Loved the rooftop swings and cozy vibes. Hi All. The Johnson family here from Texas , USA. We are quite a picky family when it comes to expecting great service, clean hotels, nice beds, and well decorated rooms that are not worn out or smelly, etc. Aman Homestay exceeded our expectations for India and left us extremely pleased in every way. This place was very clean, very unique, and very close to the Taj entrance. The surrounding area is not beautiful- in fact when we arrived outside we were quite worried we might regret our choice. But when we walked into the lobby, things got better. The staff was extremely friendly from the moment we walked in. When we entered the elevators was the next point we were impressed by the beautiful, unique, high quality glass elevators. As we arrived to the third floor, we were further surprised by the continued unique architecture of the building and pleased with its cleanliness everywhere. The place was covered with marble from floor to ceiling except where there were walls of glass to see outside from the dining area or even ceilings of glass above the dining area. As we entered our room a few steps away, again we were very impressed with very high level of cleanliness, electic unique decor and lighting all made it even more comfortable and Interesting again with granite and marble all around. As a family of four it was great to see three nice beds - one for mom and dad, and then one for each of two children. The a/c worked well. The bathroom was very nice especially for India.

Cons:
-The hotel was designed in a way that you could hear echoes in your room anytime someone on any floor opened the door to their room or went into the hallway. It was also near a wedding venue, so we were woken up each night by the sound of wedding fireworks (of course, this is less in the hotel's control than the design of the hallways).
-Multiple times we came back to the hotel and the main door was open without anyone monitoring the door or front desk. This was both a safety concern and meant that mosquitoes got in the front door and made it into our rooms.
- The bathrooms smelled like sewage and had limescale on the shower head and faucet.
-I tried reaching out to the hotel ahead of my stay with a simple question by WhatsApp and online, and never heard back.

Pros:
-Walking distance to the Taj Mahal
-The beds were pretty comfortable.

Aman homestay was a lovely place in the middle of Agra. It was conveniently located. The family that runs the place is really lovely. Just full of energy and delight. The rooms are really nice and very comfortable. We also liked our tuk tuk driver Viban who picked us up every day at the hotel I took us to all kinds of interesting places. I would recommend staying there and if I was ever to return to Agra, I would stay there again. I truly felt comfortable and a warm reception.

Pros: My room was clean and equipped with all the things I needed. There were 4 of us and the bed arrangement was perfect. There were 1 king and 2 twins and they were comfortable.
Check-in was fast, staff was friendly and Wifi was working well through out the property. You can also see Taj Mahal from the roof top. We had breakfast there and it was great.

Cons: adjusting the shower temperature was difficult as it goes from cold to super hot with slight turn. There was no breakfast buffet. We had to order from the menu with limited choice.

We stayed in Aman Homestay for 2 nights and it was very pleasant and comfortable. Room was very clean as expected, comfortable bed (mattress on the firm side which we prefer), pillows could be less firm though. Clean bathroom with all you'd need for your stay. We booked dinner there on both nights which was super tasty and plentiful. It's set menu with 3 types of curry, some nan or chapattis and sweet and water (drinks are addiional) and we also had breakfast on both mornings with a choice of traditional indian or choice of some eggs, yogurts etc. Less than 10 min walk from Taj Mahal parking where you get into golf cart to take you to the main entrance. They can arrange for a driver as well if needed for further trips. Overral very good experience which I'd very much recommend.

Inexpensive comfortable hotel close to Taj Mahal

We stayed here due to it's proximity to the Taj Mahal - it's location is pretty good, it's clean and the service is excellent.

Even though it says 24/7 reception, this isn't really true as the family live in the hotel itself so are asleep - something we found out when we turned up at 1am due to travelling from Jaipur, which left us banging on the door outside for ages to get someone to wake up.

So, if you plan to arrive late, don't book this place as you'll be left on the street. The hotel staff member said I should have given them notice we were arrive late, however in our defence the hundreds of hotels I've used over the years will always have someone on reception all night if they advertise 24/7 reception.

Apart from that, the room was loverly and spacious, clean, large shower, comfy beds etc.
A TukTuk to the East Gate is about 200INR max.

Wonderful place to stay

This was the best hotel I stayed at in my 19 days in India. The rooms are updated, clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom and showers were a relief to a tired body. But it was the service and friendliness that really stood out. Mamas cooking and family stove dinners were a joy and something I look forward to. Iman helped us out with booking train tickets back to Delhi at the last minute when our group plans changed. Help arrange a tour of the Taj Mahal, which was wonderful, And was available for any thing we needed. Great location for Taj Mahal visit, which is within walking distance.

This was an amazing stay within a 5-minute walking distance to the eastern gate of the Taj MaHal. The hotel is family run and we received a warm family type welcome! The meals here are home cooked and delicious! You can get your laundry done for an extremely reasonable price. The room we stayed in was spacious and there’s a nice roof top lounge. Tuk tuks and cars are available for tours. Aman was extremely helpful and informative in checking us in and even helped us purchase our tickets to the top sites! Wow! This hotel was a gem!

Beautiful renovated home was a basically a boutique hotel . I liked the smoking areas . You can buy wine and beer too .Tour of Taj Mahal was arranged with Mohammed an excellent knowledgeable guide and Driver Bablu . Offered tour of carpet store and marble factory( which was educational ) in hopes to get a sale . The front desk and owner ,Aman , was awesome and he is very responsive , he arranges the tours and transport .His mom Ranjanna is an excellent cook . There is privacy and strong hot showers and secure wifi. Aman will send a driver to the airport run by military and secure to pick you up which is outside the base gate . Just give him a call on WhatsApp or other and send your itinerary.
(Have 50 rupees for the shuttle because no cars allowed inside the base to the airport so you take the shuttle to go out and meet your ride on the road )
This little hotel is a gem . I would stay again for sure.
The place is family run and owned . They obviously take pride in their service .

I felt just at home here! Aman, Leena, their mom and staff are the sweetest, helpful and professional we need when arriving after a long travel.

There’s a cozy rooftop with a piano where you can relax after a long day of touristing around.

Their homemade food is the best ! Leena is a great cooker and so sweet.

I wish I could’ve stayed longer.

I truly recommend this place in Agra.

Highly recommend this place, we are so pleased we came across it. Welcomed from the moment we arrived by the whole family, very helpful. Room was large, clean and comfortable. Air Con was good and great facilities provided - tea, coffee, water, dental kit, shampoo, shower gel and slippers. We arrived late but they were very accommodating and cooked a beautiful homemade meal. We also enjoyed a lovely homemade breakfast, all very reasonably priced. Rooftop Terrace is a great addition. We would definitely stay again and recommend to those looking at coming to Agra. Thank you!

Lovely cosy hotel, close to the Taj Mahal

We loved our stay at Aman Homestay! We were welcomed by the family, and made to feel right at home. We enjoyed a homecooked meal on the roof terrace at a super reasonable price (for such a huge amount of food!), and we loved that the hotel was just a couple of minutes walk from the transfers to the Taj Mahal. Thoroughly recommend!

STAY HERE!

I reserved this home stay based on the reviews and was not disappointed. The rooms were clean and comfortable, there was lovely green space, the food was great, and the property was quiet, well maintained and safe. The staff could not be more accommodating and gracious. When I return to Delhi, I will stay here.

When visiting Agra, you must stay at Aman Homestay- it is a unique combination of Western luxury with the local Indian flare. The food is amazing as is the staff, who treat you like family. As an American, it’s nice to have such a welcoming atmosphere so far away from home.

This is my third time staying at Aman Homestay and each visit surpasses the last. As an American female who travels solo, I highly recommend Aman Homestay. Staff are professional, friendly, and always helpful. The recent property upgrades only add to your stay as you can sit on a garden terrace that overlooks the Taj Mahal. Plus, the food is ALWAYS excellent!

I enjoyed my stay here at this property. I was able to message the staff and they sent someone to pick me up from the airport and he drove me all around the first day. The place was great, in a pretty central neighborhood, and there were a couple restaurants nearby.

We LOVED our stay at this home stay! It’s in a great location, walking distance to the entrance of the Taj Mahal. The family that runs it are incredibly kind and helpful, and the food they prepare was excellent. I would highly recommend this as the place to stay if you are ever in Agra.

Aman Homestay is just exceptional! It was home away from home, and we were comfortably hosted for the 2 nights. The hosts are accessible, super friendly and helpful.

The meals were delicious, even our kids ate up! We did not know vegetarian could taste so good! Meals are freshly prepared and you can tell alot of love is added into every recipe!

Our family suite was spacious, clean and well stocked. We enjoyed returning to our room after sight seeing in the Agra heat.

Overal we loved our stay and highly recommend Aman homestay.

Highly recommended excellent facilities.

Great hotel and all new with great views over the Taj Mahal on the roof terrace which has swinging chairs sofa and very comfortable. Room are excellent and I would highly recommend. Staff give you space but if you ask for help they can’t do enough to assist you. Great trip.

It’s a decent home stay near Taj Mahal Easy gate. Note it’s a home stay and sounding is basic but room is renovated and has 2 twin beds and king bed which helps for family with kids.

We loved our stay! The staff were exceedingly helpful, we ate supper and breakfast There and it was delicious. The actual building is gorgeous and the rooftop is spectacular with swings and a view of the Taj Mahal. The walk to the Taj Mahal parking lot (where you get the shuttle to the entrance) is a 3 minute walk down the road so it’s very convenient. Very lovely experience. The staff even held our luggage and allowed us to wait for 2 hours in the afternoon for our car back to Delhi after we had checked out l. Would definitively recommend!

Clean, comfortable, but harsh light and overpriced

Decent little hotel in a quiet area. The room was clean and comfortable. Our interior room had no windows to the outside, and the interior windows looked out into the elevator shaft, which was lit up brightly with white light all night long, interfering with my sleep. The neon lights in the room were over the top and you could not use the bedside outlet without also having the neon headboard lamp illuminated. The room rate was high compared to other boutique hotels in Agra, and food prices in the restaurant were outrageous by Indian standards.

The Best Homestay I have ever stayed in

If you ever get the chance to stay at the Aman Homestay don't think about it do it. Aman on the desk and the delightful Ranjana who created the best vegetarian food I have ever tasted made my stay exceptional. Everything is 5 star including cleanliness, décor and service in this family run residence. Normally as an extensive traveller I report on a place where I laid my head. In this case I felt privileged that I was able to experience a truly unbelievable ambience within the hustle and bustle of Agra and praise to everyone involved in creating such a wonderful environment. You should stay and if you do say hello from the man with the laughing eyes to Ranjana.

We had the best stay here! The staff were courteous and accommodating at all times. They allowed us to store our luggage before check in and were always available to help and answer questions. Our room was clean and comfortable. The location is excellent - close to lots of good restaurants as well as the Taj Mahal for an early morning visit. I would recommend this place, 10/10!

Best hotel in town!

This hotel was amazing! It is family run, and everyone was super nice and helpful. Front desk helped me book a train from Agra to Jaipur, and gave me awesome nearby restaurant recommendations (I HIGHLY suggest Bon BBQ and Pinch of Spice). The hotel itself is incredible, super cool and swanky and the details like different colored lighting and outside patios on every floor makes the ambiance of this place super fun. Plus this hotel was priced more reasonably than anything comparable in the area. Location is great as well. There's a view of the taj mahal from the rooftop deck and its a quick tuk tuk ride to all the major sites in the area. Its a no brainer to stay here during your time in Agra. Best hotel in town.
