VG hotel in Lorca.

Lovely hotel, great room, good staff, super dinner at a very good price and a good breakfast but a little over priced.
Free parking and only a 15 minute walk into town. Situated in a very smart area.
I would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at the Hotel Spa Jardines de Lorca was great. The room was super with good beds. The breakfast was off high quality. The swimmingpool and spa was closed ; we would have loved to use it.

Very nice city centre hotel. Clean, comfortable and convenient for exploring the area without using a car. Nice rooms with good views to the castle. Good heating/air-conditioning. Large bathroom. Comfy bed. Also has secure underground parking as well as ground-level spaces. Nice breakfast too.

First Class Hotel

This is an excellent hotel in a "well to do" part of Lorca. It is a short walk to both the old and new centres of the town. It is a very well presented modern hotel in top class condition with very pleasant staff. Our room (possibly an upgrade) had a balcony with superb views of the town and castle and was a great location for our evening meal from the, very reasonable, room service menu. The buffet breakfast was extensive and superb value.
There were however a few niggles. we booked this because of the Spa only to find it was closed for two weeks at the height of summer. There was only one usable electric point in our room and this was in the bathroom. The excellent pool and surroundings are open to the public who on both our days were very noisy.
All in all this is a superb hotel and we would not hesitate to recommend it.

We were driving through Spain and wanted three days before Barcelona. This hotel in Lorca was much cheaper than the same groups one on the coast by a great deal. The hotel offers a swimming pool and a good restaurant so we didn't need to go anywhere else and just rested. There is a castle on a hill that defended the area but you can see that quite well if you are driving out of town. I can't say that there is anything in the town to attract but if you are looking for a quality hotel on a drive through you won,'t go wrong....and the parking is free!

Perfect for railway station

This really is a lovely hotel, well located and we were delighted to be able to book in early. We had booked a superior room with large double bed but when we went to the room it had two singles pushed together.
It later occurred to us to check if our room was a standard or superior one. It turned out it was only a standard yet we had been billed for the more expensive room. When I explained to the receptionist that we would stay in the room allocated but wanted the bill adjusted I was told we should have told them at check in and it couldn't be adjusted. We were leaving early the next morning but were advised not to speak to the manager but head receptionist at 7 the next morning.
The bill was adjusted the next morning and the head receptionist apologetic. Sadly the episode took the edge off the two nights we spent in the hotel and it would have been nice to have been offered some compensation for not being able to have our special room.

Very Enjoyable Stay

Liked this hotel. Service was excellent. Staff very eager to please. We were upgraded to a superior room with a balcony which was great for enjoying the sunny weather. Parking was available and free. We received a free Spa circuit which was lovely. Hotel an easy walk from Lorca and a close walk to other restaurants and bars. Breakfast was not included but was very reasonable and was an excellent buffet. Nice sunny terrace where we had lunch on 2 days. Wine salad and coffee were all very good. All in all a great stay, where nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the staff. A very nice place to spend a few days.

nice hotel at great rate

Nice hotel with spa. Easy/pretty walk to town. We got a room with a roof top patio which was awesome. Room had two twin beds pushed together, rather than a queen which was a bummer.
My only negative was that the bartender/server was not friendly at all and was boarderline rude.

Almost everything perfect: large room and bathroom, good free wifi, good spa connected , comfortable bed. The only issue: was not possible to set the temperature in the room. Fan system a bit noisy and not effective. Anyway the value for money is excellent

Excellent hotel, could not fault it!

Booked the hotel for a one night stay on route to Malaga. The male on reception was very pleasant, helpful and upgraded our room! Hotel was very clean, with a lovely pool and areas to have drinks outside. Easy walk into town, and free parking. The room itself was very, very nice, with a wonderful bathroom with a view! Air conditioning was just right, most hotels ac are noisy, but this was perfect. Food was good, and we wished we had booked another night!

The hotel is a modern style with crisp decor. Receptionist spoke English and was very helpful. We were given a free 2hour session in the Spa, which was wonderful, because we'd booked a 2 night stay. The breakfast was good. The staff pleasant. The only problem we had was the noise in the bedroom which really disturbed our sleep. We could hear the TV in the adjoining room one side and people talking in the room the other side. We could clearly hear doors closing and people walking and talking in the corridor. On the first night we were woken by people leaving the restaurant in the early hours of the morning. Such a shame as it's a lovely hotel with lovely staff.

Was unaware of the fact when I booked that was the case with the pool opening on Tuesday at 11! Height of summer season and felt like we were in a ghost town. Restaurant felt very clinical so chose to eat in the town.

overall very pleasant day around the pool and use of hotel cafetería and then alacart dinner on the terrace restuarant. very good service all day except once the large spanish party got up and left the terrace all the lights were turned of even though they had just been served more drinks. we covered this with reception and took our drinks upstairs. will return thanks.

Excellent pool. The spa looked wonderful as well.

We stayed for two nights to see sights and relax by the pool. We found the hotel well located - walking distance to town and not too far from the sights we wanted to see. One of the reasons that we picked the hotel was that they provided a room for three - with an extra bed not just a sofa bed or cot.

A Jewell in Lorca

We only stayed in this hotel for one night on our way from Barcelona to Granada. It is rather hard to get there, and we arrived exhausted, late at night and it was such an amazing surprise to get to this wonderful hotel. The rooms are spacious and ours had a great view of the Lorca Castle. We ate there that night and I wasn't very impressed with the food, but the breakfast the next day was absolutely fabulous, very complete and delicious.

A modern and comfortable hotel

Arriving early, by 12mid-day, the Hotel Receptionist, who had good English and was very professional, facilitated us with our room very quickly. However, the Hotel swimming pool did not open until the later part of June. This was a disappointment. Availing of the Spa facility, which we found very good, though the staff had little English. The Room was excellent and very comfortable. We had dinner in the Hotel on the evening of stay and availed of it in the patio area to the front which was very well furnished and atmospheric. The food was excellent, with fabulous flavours, and good value. The breakfast was very good with plenty of variety, though the range of hot food was a little limited. Overall, a very enjoyable hotel experience to compliment the beautiful historic and very Spanish City which is working hard to overcome he impact of the Earthquake of 2011.

spacious, comfortable and very friendly, this hotel is an easy walk to Lorca's atmospheric old streets. Lorca is recovering strongly after May 11's earthquake, which left the hotel area unscathed.

Great Value for money

The hotel is very modern with all the comforts of a 4 star establishment. Although is is situated on the edge of town it is only a short walk to the centre.
The staff are very accommodating and there is a good size bar & restaurant. We only spent one night as we were travelling so didn't need to use the spa and therefore can't comment. The rate we paid was extremely good value.

El hotel está muy bien, aunque no es barato. Pero no entiendo que por la mañana no pueda tomar un café y un croissant. O pago 12 Euros por el desayuno, o nada.
Eso sí, al menos me han invitado a un café (sin croissant) en la zona de cortesía.

Het personeel aan de balie en de poetsdienst waren supervriendelijk maar de barman was echt een tegenvaller. Hij was onvriendelijk, gaf duidelijk aan niet graag een inspanning te doen. Wij hebben de mensen aan de receptie op dekhoogte gebracht en ze beweerden dat ze inderdaad het probleem van de barman kenden maar er niets aan konden verhelpen.
