Unique, historic stay. Perfect for families. Rooms could use updated furniture (couch, tv, beds), but had charm. Bathtub wasn’t appealing because of dirty surround, but shower water pressure was perfect.

Lots of charm throughout the property. Dinner was wonderful. Great spot for evening patio drinks. Was perfect for our one-night stopover on our road trip.

Excellent hotel, great staff. Lovely surroundings, enjoyed a couple of nights sitting on the terrace listening to the cicadas.
Restaurant menu is a bit limited, pork or fish with one lamb dish but all the food was very tasty, waiters attentive but not hovering. Fab views if eating outside.
Loads of parking and a lovely drive up the hill to get there.

A gem tucked in nature!

Beautiful location -- tucked up and away in the mountains. Peaceful and calm surroundings -- like living in the lap of nature with all modern amenities. The weather was uncooperative but we still had a good stay -- staff is helpful and kind. Rooms are clean and well fitted. A true escape to nature and calm. The restaurant food could benefit from some vegetarian options (mostly pork, fish, etc). Highly recommend a visit to the Chapel as well.

Our family of 4 stayed for 2 nights in January. We had a huge 2 bedroom room which was very spacious. Friendly staff, gorgeous views of the countryside and lots of peace and quiet. The hotel restaurant was of average quality for the cost, we drove into Totana the second night for dinner and there were lots of great restaurants to choose from. Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing amd peaceful break. The walk up to the Jesus statue is well worth it too for the fantastic views.

Was told check in was from 12 noon arrived at 12.10 told by receptionist \"you are too early, come back later\" checked in at 13.20. Room was not what I had paid for, paid for upgrade to Superior Room with two queensize beds & terrace, only one bed, queried with receptionist, told \"the hotel doesn't have any rooms with two queensize beds\" Asked to use the pool, it was only open at weekends!!! Tried to book a table in the restaurant for an evening meal, the reply from the receptionist, \"not sure if it will be open, we only have one waiter on duty\" A beautiful looking hotel but the service & facilities let it down greatly!!!

Magical

We are no strangers to hotel Santa. We had our fourth stay in the last few days. It was previously a monastery, and the sense of peace and tranquility that pervades the place is magical. It is this aura that has drawn us back time and again.
The hotel is clean and efficient, but not overly ornate. Perhaps it is in keeping with its former existence.
The staff is friendly and helpful.
Dinner was delicious.
I was surprised that shower caps were not provided. I requested one at reception, but was told there were none. This should be rectified. Also, extra pillows had to be sought. It would be a good idea to keep two in the closet.
These are very minor issues, and the fact that we are drawn to Hotel Santa again and again speaks for itself.

Easter 2018 visit

Great to see that this hotel has now finally re-opened following a takeover by a small local hotel chain (Los Jardines). The renamed hotel is as good as it ever was and is certainly well worth a visit in a great area for walking/hiking and for good maintain views. You do need to be aware, however, that it is now only open weekends during the spring and autumn, it is closed throughout January and February and it currently only opens full time in the summer months. The excellent restaurant that used to exist has also changed (it is now operated by the hotel) and it is consequently much more expensive than it used to be, (although the food can be good quality). Like the hotel, it only opens variable days (mainly only weekends). There is also a nice bar where you can also buy snacks. Overall, highly recommended for a relaxing stay, but do check all of the opening hours (both hotel and restaurant, as they are not consistent) before you visit.

Very nice hotel in mountain

This hotel is located in a sanctuary at an elevation of approximately 600m and is kept in good condition. Breakfast is inexpensive, however, not much variety. The swimming pool is really very very nice and very relaxing!

Hotellet ligger väldigt fint bra rum, men tyvärr försvann charmen i rummet vi hade betalt för utsikt över bergen bild på deras hemsida men vårt rum 210 hade ingen utsikt ett stort träd precis utanför förstörde hela mysfaktorn tyvärr.
