There were two nonfunctioning lights. One where the clothes were hanging & the other in the bathtub & commode area. The refrigerator did keep my pop very cold do that was a bonus & it had a little freezer. The conditions were worn, but the location met my needs. I stayed for a few nights & the room was actually serviced. ( some times on multiple night stays a motel will not come in, so this was a pleasant surprise.)

The room was filthy with a the tub needing cleaning, the floor being swept, the sheets changed. How do I know the sheets werent changed? There was a pubic hair in mine and the other bed had spots on the sheets and smelt. It was supposed to be smoke-free, but you could smell stale cigarette smoke. It was AWFUL. i complained, but was pretty much told it was a old hotel and things couldnt be helped.

Spend a few extra bucks and avoid this one.

Bed was clean, that was about it. The rest of the room was in dire need of a thorough cleaning, particularly the bathroom. Property was fairly quiet, no complaints about noise or activity levels. Staff was professional and courteous. I don't know what I expected from Red Roof Inn, but I definitely didn't think it would be so gross.

The bathroom was dirty and it appeared that the bed sheets had not been changed. They might have but it didn't seem like they had been.
The buttons on the phone were missing. The TV remote didn't have an input selection button and the tv was special to hotels and didn't have all the regular buttons. The hotel attendant showed us a button at the ir receiver that was able to switch inputs.
Hot water was hot and had good pressure for shower if one dared to get into the shower.......

The room was nasty as hell. I literally wiped the bottom of the toilet with my foot and it was covered in dirt and mildew. I knew it wouldn’t be the best but I didn’t not expect it to be dirty. The sheets were stained when I pulled them back. Customer service was great explained that I wasn’t satisfied and got a refund

The place is run down, neglected and filthy. Trash and dog feces everywhere on the grounds. Rooms run down and dirty, stains on the bedding, cigarette burns on the tub and counters in a “non smoking room. There was a dead roach floating in the toilet, I can only assume it committed suicide to escape… absolutely no toiletries, 2 small towels, half a roll of toilet paper, no microwave, no coffee maker, a fridge from someone’s garage in 1984. Smoke detectors had been removed, the base was still on the ceiling though. Two guys with a truck loaded with scrap metal working on it in the parking lot at midnight, another so drunk he tried a dozen times to park before giving up and leaving the car all crazy crooked and on the curb, against the fence. Pretty sure another was dealing outside his room, he was standing outside watching cartoons on his phone for several hours… he seemed to have lots of visitors…
Two more men with a pop up gazebo behind their van, with lawn chairs and a grill going. All in all a pretty rough place with a lot of nefarious characters hanging around.
If you want anything higher than a 1 star rating, keep looking.

The first non-smoking room they tried to give me smelled like someone had been smoking all day in the room. I was worried my clothes would smell like smoke. The smoke detector was ripped off the ceiling.
They showed me another room that was not near as bad. After accepting it, the light fixture in the bathroom was missing. No lights in the shower/toilet area.
It appeared a remodel was going on as there were un-painted patches on the walls.
I had dinner plans with a relative and left and checked in at another hotel. I returned next morning to return keys and let them know I did not stay in the room. They explained because they were booked out, they may not reverse the charge. They did not reverse the charge.
Horrible exterior, looked like people were living there and there were signs of addicts and smells of drug use.

The condition of the room was awful. There were random stains on the linens. There we red wig looking hair all over the chair and lamp shades. There was a needle in the floor in addition to the floors looking like they hadn’t been cleaned in months! The ice box had a sticky substance in it. Holes in the walls. And to top it all off the front desk decided to call and wake us up at 2 in the morning to ask if we drove a certain vehicle. Overall would not recommend.

Don't agree with all negative reviews until you see other motels in area ..yes people everywhere there ..it's a crowded city!! Some odd things may be missing in rooms..they stay busy..have some reasoning here people..overall I say I'd stay there over some of the top class hotels I seem while there!! Promise that!! My room was disgusting. I had a long trip and simply wanted to shower and get into bed. The shower had pubic hair on the wall, the shower head had a lot of visible residue and clearly had not been cleaned in a while, there was dirt and grim in the corners, and stains all over the shower curtain. The towel I was provided with had a black mark on it.

The room was described as non-smoking, but it reeked of smoke. The curtain was falling down from the wall from not because installed correctly or broken. I could go on and on about the bad experience I had.

It was definitely not worth the money.

The Room was Supposed to be a non-smoking room, well it was clearly smoked in and stank of stale cigarette smoke, The walls were yellow and dirty. The room had clearly not been cleaned properly in quite some time as there was a thick layer of dust on the lamp shades, and they had begun to rust. the room door was difficult to close. We did not feel safe there and cancelled our stay there. The ONLY saving grace there were the staff, Friendly and very accommodating.

The room was OK on the first night, but I was very tired. The second night, there were some small bugs in the sink, and I saw a larger one there that was able to hide. I found a bug sitting on my chest that night. The corners of the tilework in the bathroom were dirty. Wiping a finger across, my finger showed dirt and left a streak in the corner.
The TV was fine, but would not swivel to see when sitting in the most comfortable chair. The office style chair was OK, but not as comfortable. Bring your own coffee maker. I did, so I had one.
I don't know the normal prices for hotels in Savannah, but this one was more than I pay most places and, somehow, I expected it to be better.

This place sucks!! The whole place was filthy. The bed sheets were all stained. The towels were disgusting with stains and embedded hair. The bathroom had a dirty towel in the tub and moldy. The microwave didn’t work. The floor was completely dirty. And not to mention the smell of weed from neighboring rooms and the homeless guy that was sleeping on the floor by the vending machine. I’d give this place negative stars if I could. The whole experience was terrible!

Check out - 1100 my wife and I were at adjacent hospital we were unable to get back to room until approximately 1110. We went hospital at 0555 left many personal item room when left in early am. Dental equipment, couple shirts, couple half full wine bottle and food in fridge. Obvious we had not departed! The cleaning staff had removed all our stuff to trash containers. In going through garbage found couple of items but most was lost!! Seems with personal items such as tooth brushes and clothes still in room the guests had not left!! Believe most guests at this facility would be patients at St Joseph hospital. If you must clear room at 1100, why bag and hold all items for couple of hours for return of patients from hospital!!

Not to even mention the infestation of spiders all over the desk where my things were. I had to keep killing them every time i saw one. there's rot and rust all over the fridge. Okay, so you should not expect much out of a hotel like this one. At a minimum you should expect a clean room. Ours was not.

There was a decent size area of visible mold on the walls, and the tub had hair (not ours), as well as some kind of yellow residue.

I have been staying at Hotels in Midtown Savannah GA for the past four weeks - I will not pay to stay at this specific hotel again. Besides the fact that they did not offer any type of breakfast - the towels were like sandpaper. The bed is possibly the only upgrade in the past 15 to 20 years.

Upon checking in, the desk clerk was sitting and did not greet me. I hollered “hello” before he even spoke. He was friendly but had no teeth. The property was sketchy to say the least. The room was disgusting didn’t look like it had been cleaned (ever), the furniture was stained and broken, lamps were rusted and dusted, the bed sheets and pillows had hair on them as well as the towels. The bathroom was dirty, more broken fixtures and counter, sinks were missing parts. Before we finished the very brief walk thru a roach decided to say “hey”. DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT!

This place is disgusting! I have no idea how it has somewhat decent reviews & rating unless it’s from YEARS ago! I’m including pics of what we dealt with before finally giving up & leaving this cockroach inn. 1st room had stagnant water puddle outside bathroom door with flies & gnats so we argued with them for another room (they just wanted to mop it up & leave us there) when we got 2nd room, pics are what we dealt with. Knew better than to ask for another room change so it was TIME TO GO! This is 3rd Red Roof Inn we’ve had issues with this year so not sure what’s going on with these properties but we won’t take chance of booking one ever again. They have gone downhill quick

I found the cleanliness in the bathroom undesirable. The inside of tub appeared clean, but the outside wall of tub was dirty. There were brown caked on smudges on the bathroom and bedroom walls. I cleaned it. Couldn't stand looking at it all night. The wall socket near the sink had hardened paint in it, so I could not use my blow dryer. The bathroom just was not clean looking. Color of paint awful.

Upon checking in the front desk guy was very friendly got me checked in fast. Got around to the room and there were people everywhere. Music playing a little loud ppl standing on the top floor drinking and talking loud. It was more like a run down project home complex instead of a hotel. The room smelled awful there was no Main light the comforters were nasty the chair was nasty bugs were crawling in the bed. There was a checkers paper bag covering the smoke detector. I left immediately dont go here for any reason.

The hotel wasn’t fit for occupancy. The lobby wasn’t hotel friendly and the front desk personnel looked like he was dress to go hang out on the porch or a bar. The advertisement on the website was false about the continental breakfast. The so-called clerk said he received a call two weeks ago to discontinue the free breakfast. It was horrible to drive up to the and be granular cigarette smell and a stray dog hanging out in the front of the hotel. It should be condemned. Red Roof Inn has bad a name according to people I talk to.

It was convenient, defiantly close by a good selection of restaurants. The room was a bit small for me and my girls, but we managed. It was clean, saw no bugs. The service at checkin was nice and friendly. He was polite and gave me extra towels and a couple garbage bags when i asked. The hotel was about 40 minutes from Tybee Island beach, which wasnt bad at all.

We stayed here because the AC went out in our apartment and let me tell you I would have rather stayed at home in the heat. The room smelled like cigarettes, the bed sheets where stained, bathroom had mold, the face towel was dirty, the bedside outlets didn’t work , and my husband killed 3 cockroaches! I also think they have bed bugs cuz I now have little bites all over my legs and arms. The AC unit was also messed up in the room we where in and it was sooooo loud and would randomly would turn off and get so hot.

This was very disappointing. The bedding and towels had a lot of stains on them. I had to buy air freshener to use in the room after we arrived. No slip guard in bottom of tub and it popped like a trunk hood when u stepped. The bed was very uncomfortable and the mattress slid if we barely leaned against it. The fridge was rusty and stunk. Spotty picture on every television channel. I will never stay at this hotel again.

We stayed 2 nights. To be honest, it is a good location because it has many restaurants and market around here. However, the room had ugly smell and I feel very uncomfortable, the bathtub had a fixed and covered with a big piece but it makes me feel not good when I took shower. Also, the water has bad smell, so I cannot brush my teeth and I had to do it with pure (drinking) water. In addition, there was missed (or broken) the filter part of the sink, so unconformable smell will flow once I washed face, hand, etc... In general, I am feel unhappy.
