It's a very nice hotel: sleek, modern, clean and uncluttered design, comfortable and practical (though not luxurious) room. Staff limited but friendly and helpful. Located fairly distant and inconveniently from all the major tourist attractions, and at-hand taxi service is weak, but public bus service is accessible. Charming little alley of outdoor cafes located close nearby, pleasant eating/drinking/people-watching there in the evening.

Bad attitude towards customers

The hotel is not a 4 star more 3 at a push breakfast substandard and in a basic room not even tea and coffee facility’s for the money you pay this should be standard we were on our honeymoon and was disappointed with the accommodation the staff were extremely up themselves with no manners at all. We will not be staying here again!

The room was large and bed was a King and comfortable. The water temperature control for the shower was a safety concern going from ice cold to scalding with no warning or touching the faucet. No ice machine anywhere. Had to ask at the restaurant. No USB jacks anywhere in the room which, for a 4 star is a basic amenity. Would not stay again at the price.

Booked due to its location near our family. Was a decent hotel, nothing fancy but cleans and comfortable as a few night stop over. Fantastic breakfast, they even had vegan cake which was an absolute surprise! The man who checked us in was very polite and helpful too.

This hotel's \"Family rooms\" turned out to be in a semi-basement, conveniently omitted from the booking details. Not worth it. Also, expect fluctuating water temperatures, no iron, or coffee amenities in this supposed 4-star hotel. We booked last minute and regret it. Had positive experiences with the chain before, but strongly advise avoiding this location.

Great but a bit far from city center

It was great to find out there was a street full of cafes just behind the hotel. Staff were great all around and the room was ver spacious for a good price. Only downside is that is a bit far from the main sites you will want to visit but the bus stop is just across the street from the hotel.

The hotel was well located near metro stop and local eating spots. The hotel reads 4 stars I give it more a 2.5 it's very simple and nothing out of the ordinary. The shower is not the greatest and to get to the lobby has no walkway. No A/C available when I went. When you turn on the unit no matter if you put hot or cold only hot air would come out so prepare to open windows and hope for a pleasable temperature.

The reception team and the bar team are super friendly and helpful. Thanks for all the assistance. Breakfast is good, only when you can dine in. The take away bag was not great, only with packaged bread and green apple and can juice and cookies.

When I checked in the first day, I called because my air conditioner was not working I called the front desk and talked to Jane she sent someone when he came he said it’s broke and will be back. A hour went by and no one came back. I called the front desk and talk to Jane again she said she would send someone again. I waited another hour and no one came I went down to the front desk talked to Jane again stated she called my room looking for me which I was sitting in a hot room for two hours and the phone never rang. She told me their was nothing she could do about my air conditioning. I began to get out rate and demanded another room she initially told me no but another hostess talked to her in Italian and Jane said their was another room available.

The staff was fantastic. Especially Laura at the front desk as she helped my sisters and I to check in early due to an early arrival. Hotel amenities such as lobby and restaurant were clean. But our room was on the M level and was located in an area where we believe the metro train passed under or near us as there was constant train passing noises throughout the day and night. So coming from a light sleeper, this was difficult to deal with. Also, although the room appeared to be clean, my sisters and I all had an allergic reaction (constant sneezing and congestion) to something in the room. I know this review makes it seem as if I'm a complainer, but this is not the norm for us at all. I think this is the first time ever, I'm complaining about my stay since our allergies got to a point where we decided to leave for our next destination a day earlier. So of course we had to incur additional fees for change in transportation and extra night at tour next hotel.

I arrived at 19:30. Then after moving in I asked to either give me the iron to iron my shirt for the next day or just press it with the hotel staff. No solution proposed.

The only option was to do express ironing NEXT DAY after 10am (!!!) when I had to leave the hotel at 8:30am.

The hotel staff said it is the hotel policy not to give irons to the guests.
*sick*

Then I went for a dinner to the restaurant... there was NOBODY in spite of me shouting aloud! All was shining, empty tables but nobody who could serve me.

So, I ended up with the previous day sweaty shirt and hungry.

That was meant to be 4* experience.

The hotel is in a terrible area. You would not want to walk around this area at all. The lady when I got to the front desk was extremely rude. When we got to the room, it wasn't clean which was the last straw, so we asked to be let out of our reservation. Of course no one was there to make a decision, so we left. I wouldn't recommend it due to the extra charges we weren't aware of before booking. The next place we book had that on the reservation but not this hotel. and the area is sketchy at best.

Hire improved staff at reception?

Girl with glasses and long hair was very rude. I tried to say a few words in Italian and she was very condescending. This happened twice. Nightshift guy said that a taxi to Ciampino would cost 50 euros. I walked around the corner and got one for 30. Sink tap sprayed water everywhere. Shower not great. Alot of traffic noise. Breakfast not included. It's a 3 star hotel max.

Nice hotel to stay with family

Overall a good place to stay in Rome. About 15min walk from metro. The area nearby is not great but the price compensates. The heating system is uncontrollable and our room was so hot that forced us to open windows in mid Feb. Try the tiramisu at the bar. Delicious.

Really good value hotel. 10 euro/10 minute taxi to the centre of Rome. Good breakfast selection, nice little bar. The rooms are good standard, the only annoying thing is that there is no mirror on the dressing table but, apart from that the room is great. The area isn't particularly nice but, there are a couple of lovely bars and restaurants within walking distance.

Amazing hotel for the price, One of the best

Situated a two minutes walk from the tram station Via Casalina and the bus stop Lodi about a 7 minute walk, Both taking us directly to the centre of Rome especially the 61 bus which takes you straight to Venezia Palace and another bus straight to the Colosseum, Both modes of transport take you to the centre within 10/15 mins! a 3-day travel pass for only £14! The hotel itself was amazing, much better than I expected for what I paid. We came as a couple and the room was almost luxurious, very clean, very spacious and the toilet was very clean and modern with marble and a jetted bath. The room was perfectly romantic and we could not believe how cheap it was for what it was! the hotel staff where extremly helpful and Kind especially Emmanuel. A street next to the hotel is a very romantic street full of small bars and restaurants which is a nice touch with lots of shops. We had a 4-day stay and went exploring each day and couldn't have asked for a better hotel, both location and accessibility to transport and the hotel itself! We where extremely impressed.

Staying here for our anniversary turned out to be a great decision in the end, this could have easily been a negative review as we were initially given noisy rooms twice, but nice lady called Anna pretty much changed our view, great customer service she relocated us to a much quieter part of the hotel which meant we were able to get the quality sleep we craved for.

Breakfast was english usually bacon sausage, eggs etc - Simone is the live of the restaurant great guy always in a good mood, by the end of our stay he knew my wife always asks for a hot chocolate and he brought her one without her asking - attention to detail

Good transport connection to Termini the main train station (bus 50 & 105) and bus 81 will take you to all the touristy sites

Paid 60 euros for taxi from the airport to the hotel, used the slow train back to airport this cost 8 euros per person from termini.

Graffiti and rubbish everywhere

My partner and I visited Rome for our honeymoon and booked this hotel based on the 4 star rating, though I don't know how it got this rating!

Imagine the worst part of the town or city you live in and you're probably close to imagining the local area. Graffiti is everywhere. The entire side of the hotel is covered in graffiti, as is the railway line our room looked directly onto, with curtains too small for the window. Nearby bins are overflowing, local shops are extremely run down and the public transport is poor. The hotel is in an area where even a few of the local taxi drivers had to use google maps. I definitely wouldn't have felt safe at night on public transport or on foot.

The room itself was very dated to say the least. The room was in urgent need of repainting, with black scuff marks everywhere and more than a couple of small holes in the wall. The bathroom toilet constantly ran into the bowl making noise, there was mould around the bath and the desk was falling apart.

Staff were nice and welcoming enough. Though we asked for extra pillows on the first night as there were only 3 in the room. These never turned up and we had to ask again the next night.

Breakfast was ok but there wasn't a massive selection. If you're happy with a basic breakfast then it's ok and easy.

Overall there is zero chance I would stay here again. There are much better similarly priced hotels in Rome and for slightly more money you can get an awful lot more.

The bed was broken down and needed to be thrown out 10 years ago ridiculously broke down and I'm comfortable all pillows the same way very thin cheap pillows most all hotels these days give you three or four pillows of different thicknesses so you're always comfortable no matter if you like them thick or thin

It was rated as 4+ but honestly is 3 star. It is run down needs renovating urgently. Location is ok neither in the main city nor too far to get into the city. Staff has provided a very good service. The bed was so run down that you sink in when you sit on it. The floors are chipped. The toilet has no vents or exhaust fans. The air conditioning has no power.

The air conditioning and wifi were exceptional in this hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room looked just as good as it does in pictures... except for some scuffs on the wall, but who cares. The room and bathroom were really clean.

I found some of the front desk staff to be unhelpful and kinda mean. One of the women was super nice though... The lady with shoulder-length hair some curly, some blond, some light brown. She was great!

This area, Pigneto, is very cool. Right behind this hotel, there is a pedestrian street with a lot of little bars, cafes, and a daily produce / clothing market. I noticed vegan options at two of the bars... Pigneto 32 and Cargo; Pigneto 32's being a lot tastier, but Cargo took credit card and P32 didn't. There's also a vegan cafe called Vitamin 24 nearby. This street is always full of people at night, but not many tourists. Mostly younger locals. After the subway station, the vibe changes a bit and there are some nicer patio spots and a couple speakeasy style bars.

The metro line is less than ten minutes away on foot. The metro here is kinda crummy though. There's also a bus stop right across the street; the 50 Bus gets you to Termini (central) in less than 20 minutes. The buses here are never on schedule though, so it's pointless to look up the timetables... You just have to wait around and hope your timing is good. Longest I had to wait was about half an hour... But usually it was closer to ten minutes.

Hotel was excellenct. Breakfast was enormous but a bit pricey.
If you're planning to visit Italy, Rome in particular, better have 4* or 5* accomodation otherwise you won't get any customer service. Rome itself was magnificent. Foods were delicious, but people didn't seem to know what customer service is. From the airport to a lot of restaurants we have been to, they didn't care about their customers. I love the place, but didn't like the way locals treat visitors in their beautiful country. I'll probably won't visit Rome again.
That being said, this 4* hotel has customer service. We're happy with our stay.

We loved this hotel in the pictures, but when we got there it was terrible! Our room was right above several train tracks. The furniture was duct taped, scratches,and damaged. We found a toe nail clipping on the floor. We changed hotels immediately. The staff was really nice though. The location is not really close to the main sites in Rome.

It would have been really good if there was the means to make tea or coffee in the room. A spa and/or message inside the hotel would have been fabulous. My boys wanted to swim but there was no swimming pool and the gym was not well stocked. The service was however was superb.

Little touches such as chocolate left for Valentine's Day were sweet.
Breakfast was lovely, no tea or coffee making facilities in room so we ordered from the bar.
Don't let the graffiti put you off, that's standard across the board. The area feels safe and has nice bars and a supermarket close by.
All sights accessible from 81 bus that runs every 15 minutes. Tickets available in reception.
It's a busy bus and I advise to making sure you are aware of your valuables as my wife got her bag stolen but that also happens in most capitol cities.
The bus stops off outside the colesseum.
I would recommend this hotel, I've thrown a coin in the trevi fountain so when I return I'll definitely be staying here :)
