Clean, comfortable, and enjoyable stay. The hotel was well maintained, the breakfast was good, and the staff was friendly. We would definitely stay here again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We loved staying here! The staff was so courteous, the room was large, clean, and comfortable, and the breakfast was amazing. :)
Dean
This was a very nice facility. It was clean and everything looked new. The breakfast was yummy, lots of choices.
Linda
Clean room, breakfast was average, didn’t mean the pool was broke until check-in when they offered for us to use the pool down the road at the Fairfield Inn.
Dion

Brandy
The breakfast was great. Room was clean but the bed was not comfortable. Both my partner and i woke up in pain from the bed. The front staff could havr been more informative as to times things close and when checkout is. She didnt give any information.
Linda
The hotel and room were clean and felt new. Peeked into the pool area and looked great. Morning breakfast was good as was the coffee. Staff was very pleasant.
Peter
nice pool, hot tub was not very warm
Christopher
Convenient location, short drive to town where there are great restaurants, clean room, friendly staff, quiet, fast jump on to the highway to drive home.

Staff was awesome. Got there hours before check n, but the were able to accommodate my wife and I. Coffee was always fresh and stocked. Room was awesome. Very comfortable. We actually did use the pool and hot tub. Overall, we visit Ottawa this time every year and will never go to another place. This is the spot!
Brittini
Clean comfortable room. Very friendly staff.
Daniel
Great room great staff. Would definitely stay again.
Diane
The lady at the reception area didn't seem to have any idea that I had made a reservation a week or two before arriving. We had three adults and she asked me if we needed two beds. Of course, with three adults. She kept looking and looking for a room on Sunday evening. I had my reservation confirmation and she didn't want to see it, which irritated me. She just kept looking. Finally, she round a room, problem being that she didn't really know who to run the charge machine. I had to put my card through twice and then she wasn't certain. Then I started wondering if I was going to be charged twice or maybe three times for the room. I just didn't have confidence in her and she did the same thing to the lady behind me. Still have ???? about her. Room was fine after we were assigned one.

Clean, bright and friendly employees.
We have stayed at this hotel for the last couple of years and even through it's remodeling. It's been great every time we've been there. The employees are always so friendly and want to help us in every way.
Lindsey
The staff here was simply amazing! They went above and beyond to be helpful & friendly. The hotel itself was clean, in great condition. Our room was spotless. I can't say enough good things about our stay here - especially after we had to check out of another hotel, it was a relief to stay here.
Angela
Can’t say enough about how outstanding the staff was! Everyone was kind and personable.
Jeffrey
It was comfortable and quiet!

I was disappointed that the hot tub and pool were out of service

I am deeply disappointed in this experience. Booked this hotel because of the pool and hot tub after a long day of driving. Upon checking in, find out that both have been down for a month with no ETA for a fix. There was never an attempt to contact me before my checkin day to inform me that a significant amenity that I was paying for would not be available. While I would have been allowed to cancel without penalty upon checking in, that would have left me driving around town looking for another option on labor day weekend - not acceptable.
The recently remodeled bathrooms also had a sink that the drain popup got stuck on, so I spend the morning with a sink full of water that wouldn't drain. Staff was great, hotel and rooms were very clean. But I feel like the hotel did a bait and switch on me with the amenities and I should have been given a significant discount on the room for not receiving what I paid for.

The hotel was a good location, I booked a room that said sleeps 5 but it didn’t, it only had 2 beds and not a pull out couch. I was only there one night so I didn’t complain we made do.
Craig
Great staff
Dawn
I love staying here bc everything is convenient and the place is always clean and the staff are always so polite and act like they love their jobs. You dont find that everywhere. Thank you!
Zac
The lady that worked the front desk was super nice and helpful with everything that we needed!
sarah
The rooms were nice. Lobby was nice. Understaffed and waited a long time at front desk. Pool was broken, hot tub broken and Luke warm.

Kindness
The desk manager was so nice. She changed our rooms around so my mother-in-law could use an accessible shower. She even went out of her way to run a shower chair down to her room. We really felt the staff not only offered great service, but genuine kindness to us.

This is a great affordable find in North Ottawa!

Nice stay at Starved Rock
Very friendly staff with helpful recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area.
Dawn
Since the last time I stayed, which has been a while, I noticed the hotel had some upgrades done. I love the new look. The process with everything was great. They are very attentive to your needs. I even got a text message during my stay from management to make sure my stay was going well and to see if I had any concerns. They kept up with the cleaning of the rooms right on point, what I mean is, we had to go get a few things but planned on coming back, and in that hour or two we were gone they had the room cleaned. I was impressed. While the price is a bit high to me, I always tend to choose Hampton Inn Ottawa Starved Rock bc they are always giving great service. Kim is great by the way! And I believe the cleaning person’s name was Marna, according to the card, she was great too! Thank you guys for being on point!
Kaitlyn
Very nice property and breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

This is a very nice hotel. Comfortable rooms, good service, nice breakfast.
VICKIE
Nice people!! Great for dogs!! Breakfast was good!! Walls are a little thin so you can hear neighbors but I’d still recommend staying here!!
Barbara
Service, sink stopper wouldn't come up after pushing it
Lisa
Our stay was awesome. Clean room, friendly staff, great amenities.
Paige
Great stay!
Very clean, all freshly remodeled! Great little gym and clean pool. Breakfast was decent and staff was friendly. No complaints!
Frank
The facility and staff were outstanding. We’ve been traveling a lot recently, and this experience was far superior to any we’ve had in the last six months. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
Greg
Everything seemed fresh and new, and the staff was wonderful! Our door was difficult to open and loud, and when we mentioned it to the staff, they said it was new and thanked us for letting them know. There were lots of options for breakfast and a spacious area to eat. A great experience!
Gary
nice place, would stay again if in area
Monica
Very clean, new or renovated building. Very quiet. Staff was nice. Well appointed room woth you need for a night. Only reccomendation I have is breakfast needs more options and better otions... for example make the eggs real eggs NOT from a carton pls, orange juice is all BUT orange juice. Also our room door is not closing well - you can see through the gaps in the hallwau, light gets in at night. Did not bother us enough to make a deal out of it but was noticable. Overall I recommend for a short stay.
Lise
Clean and quiet
Kim at the Front desk was courteous with a smooth check-in. Offered bottled water which was nice. Hotel room and public areas very clean. Room was quiet for a restful night. Breakfast had the regular stuff, eggs, bacon, home fries. Waffles excellent. Will stay here again.
William
Nice
Larry
Resent remodel, everything fresh and new. Very friendly staff.
Noreen
The toilets are extremely low. I had to use the bathroom door handle and counter for leverage
Katherine
Room was huge. Partial flooring. Peloton bike in room, a first time that’s ever happened. Dog friendly (doggy bag provided at check in) but doggy area had a dog bag dispenser and it was empty. Not a very walkable area.
Melinda
Their was a dirty toilet in the restroom in the pool area but staff was getting on it to clean it
Jen
Outstanding customer service from Liz, very clean, and the room was bigger than I expected. Love that there were 2 refrigerators in the room!!
Jennie
Super friendly staff!
Leah

Emma
The hotel was amazing. Breakfast was delicious and had so many options. The pool was nice and the hot tub was nice sized with good jets. The only issue was getting my Roku stick in the tv. The tv was attached to the entertainment center so you can barely access the HDMI input. Highly recommend:)
Maria
Very nice hotel. Newly remodeled and you can tell. Rooms, lobby, pool area, everything is all renovated and beautiful. It is kept clean and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Extremely happy with my stay and highly recommend!
Julie
Searched and found a lost item. Thoughtful staff.
Very satisfied. Called back after returning home and asked if I had left a sweater. They found the sweater and I am picking it up. Very good staff personnel.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Property was very clean. Breakfast was very nice assortment and the 2 people working the breakfast were very helpful and kept everything clean and appealing.
Sue
Your computer system was not working. Construction outside made it difficult to get to front door
David
He had to move to a different room because the people next to us had a dog that was barking. And the second room we went to had a terrible order and the carpet was wet.
Tracy
The property needs updated. No movie channels. Air conditioning didnt work had to buy fan at walmart. So noisy couldnt sleep kids running in halls. Must of been jumping on beds sounds like they were gonna come thru the ceiling
Tom

I am so accustomed to there being issues with hotels. I walked in looking and ready to have to speak to the manager! This was not the case this time. The hotel was clean, friendly staff, and the bed was super comfy. Throw in a microwave and fridge and tv with all the cable channels——-WINNER!! I’ll definitely stay again.
Jason
The staff was helpful and personable. Our room wasn’t ready on time, but we were handed keys immediately when we returned. The location was a little odd - our window faced the back of a Cracker Barrel, and some sketchy looking businesses near by, but the hotel itself was fine. The TV was small and outdated. Overall good for the price.
john
Easy in and easy out
James
The TV stopped working. They took care of it immediately.
Heidi
Super quiet hotel and friendly staff
DANIELLE

Great hotel but the breakfast ruined it for me for what we pay we should have a breakfast like Holiday Inn

Paid a shocking amount for what this place was. Was rated 9/10. Needs updates badly. Bathroom could have been much cleaner.
Russell
Staff is GREAT!!!
patrick
The hotel was very well maintained and very clean. The breakfast offered very good choices and the lady in the kitchen couldn’t have been nicer. Front desk staff very friendly. One of the best places we have stayed since start of the pandemic
Janice
One of the best Hampton Inns we have stayed in. The staff are friendly and helpful. You feel welcomed when you enter. Housekeeping impeccable. Our room had our towels arranged in bow motifs with a handwritten note from our cleaner telling us to enjoy our stay. Good location. Highly recommend. Wish all hotels could be like this one!
Kent
Great hotel
Overnight stay on 10 day vacation.
Georgia
Staff was friendly but our non smoking room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. They moved us to another room that smelled heavily of perfume - bathroom looked like it had mold and wasn’t super clean.
