The hotel is well located in Susakino, close to subway station. Room was spacious enough and very comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and exceptionally so at the breakfast venue. The breakfast was diverse and catered to Japanese and Western cuisine. Very convenient for shopping and getting around. No complaints

Hotel room has room to open flat luggage beside bed and furniture. While the hotel room is not new, the bed is comfortable to get a good night sleep. Overall, a better than expected stay.

We booked the hotel for it's close proximity to Odori Park for the snow festival based on the recommendation of a friend from Sapporo. The Susukino subway station is a quick walk around the corner and made travel to and from the airport very easy. Breakfast buffet and dinner were included with our stay for adults and the prices for food for our children were reasonable. Our room had two twin beds, and we were able to get a futon for an additional 2000 yen. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially in the restaurant. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Overall the stay was ok. Location is good. A lot of good restaurants and shopping area nearby.
The rooms are big enough.
Though lesson learned, the nature of our booking does not allow us to choose non-smoking due to hotel being fully booked. Carefully check the booking conditions. Though the staff were kind enough to make our room smell less of smoke.

Not the best option

The room was quite spacious as compared to other hotels that I stayed in Hokkaido. Room is slightly old but clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet spread was rather good!

Hotel is just 3 min walk from Susukino station, hence very convenient. However, parking was limited! We came back to hotel around 8.30pm but there was no more parking lot available, had to wait for 70 mins to get a lot at the associated Times car park nearby. Not the most pleasant experience as the staff was not being helpful at all... will probably not coming back to this hotel as there are other better options in Sapporo city. We booked this the very last minute due to a change in travel plan.

I must say I am pleased with the few days stay. Bed and room very comfortable n cozy. Breakfast full spread and it’s delicious. Coffee was good as u can hv cappuccino, macchiato etc...wonderful. Will stay there again. It’s very convenient to get food around hotel, especially at night. You will see more people at night than day time. It’s a pity that there is no view from the window in my room when outside was snowing!

Clean and comfortable. Didn’t take breakfast option so can’t comment on that. Has a bar attached on ground floor which charged us 500 yen each to sit in. Think if you are a guest in the hotel you shouldn’t be charged a cover charge.

We requested a nonsmoking room but was given a smoking room upon arrival. It was really disapointing. We would have boooked other hotels if we could be told in advance. The front desk is not professional dealing with the check in procedure; The staff was not helpful. Room is just ok. However, for a non smoking family, it’s uncomfortable to rest well in the smoking environment. Feel like I pay to suffer. Won’t come back anymore.

This was a very convient place to stay. It was near the rail stations, shopping, Odori Park, and of course many eating places. The room and bathroom was a lot smaller than we are used to in the U.S. but we got a King bed which was great. The breakfast's that came with the room was also very tasty and of great variety. Definitely would stay here again.

Rough checkin but we love this hotel n area.

We arrived 1pm. Frint staff said check in was at 2pm. So we walked around in freezing weather. Came back 2:20pm. But another staff said our room not ready. My wife got upset then they gave us the room. By then our body was tried from long flight and cold from the weather and we just wanted to laydown.. after rough check in everything was fine..

Our second stay at Holiday Inn. We stayed at the same hotel in 2015. Accessibility is great as subways is 5 minutes away. Not lack of eateries around too. Only comment is room is a tad too small and the airport bus does not stop in front of hotel. About 8-10 minutes walk and not thrilled with the winter climate

Stayed there for 7 nights, would have to say the staff was not friendly or hospitable, which was surprising because this is Holiday Inn. There were no greetings or smiles. Communication was hard too as there was a language barrier when I tried to get a bigger room. That being said, the room is incredibly small. Location wise was alright, walking distance to 2 different subway lines. Bear in mind it gets noisy at night when you're trying to sleep due to the active nightlife in susukino and just mainly lots of drunkards lol.

Generally, my stay was pleasant. The staffs were friendly, helpful and polite. However, I was very disappointed with the breakfast served. It was buffet-style kind of breakfast. Limited selection and they did not replenished. Food was cold. I would grade 1 out of 5 for Breakfast. It was really disappointing. Other than that, the location of the hotel is great, near many shopping malls, eateries, restaurants. There is a train station nearby (about 3 mins walk) and there is a bus stop nearby too, to take the airport limo bus to the New Chitose Airport.

Overall: a decent hotel to stay but won't recommend to go for the breakfast option.

Hotel location was excellent with lots of restaurant around. Ramen alley is just beside the hotel on the left. Room was clean and spacious enough. WIFI in the room was fast. The nearest subway staition Susukino on the Nambouku line is less than 5 mins walk from the hotel and 2 stations from Sapporo main train station. The famousTanuki-koji (covered street-level shopping) covering 7 blocks is about 10 mins walk.

Located in a happening area of Sapporo with many shops and restaurants nearby. Highly recommend trying soup curry in Sapporo! The hotel is about one mile from the Sapporo JR/train station. It is easily accessibly by walking south about 20 minutes or taking the local train/subway, with two stations very close to the hotel.

It located in the heart of Susukino, the entertainment area of Sapporo. The halal ramen shop and restaurant are available in 10-20 minutes walk from the hotel. The staff arw very friendly and helpful. They lend me an umbrella in the rainy day and gave me a lot of information. The room is quiet small, but OK.

Warmth in a cold climate.

We spent 3 nights in the Holiday Inn in Sapporo.The building was hard to find but when we arrived,we were treated well by the staff which took great care in helping us. Although there was a distinct communication problem language wise. other than that, the room was extremely comfortable and them location turned out to be perfect in relationship to the Sapporo Ice Festival.We ate twice at the restaurant and found the service and food first class.Special was the fact that we were given a discount when we arrived only a few minutes before the buffet closed.
We would recommend this comfortable hotel for all guests.

Hotel is approximately 3-5 minutes walk from the station but can be quite difficult to find at first. Overall, location is good and bustling with activities at night. 2 stations away from the Sapporo station and around 7 minutes walk to Odori Park station. The room for a single occupant is very very small though. Also, there is a small gym with some equipment and massage chairs.

We had to change hotels on the last day of our trip due to unavailability of rooms at our other hotel, and were very fortunate to have gotten an upgrade from our two reserved single rooms (we have two kids, so four persons altogether) to a one-bedroom suite. The room was incredible! Assistant front desk manager Ishihara was wonderful, helpful and accommodating. As mid-priced Sapporo hotels go, this one was very nice (we've stay in the past at the Royal Century Hotel and the ANA Holiday Inn Susukino). The hotel is in a very convenient location: block and a half to Sapporo Station; close to eateries (we enjoy izakayas); convenience store right downstairs and attached to hotel. Area lacks to excitement and vibe of Susukino, but it's okay unless you're looking for very late night action. But if you're looking for that, subway entrance is right outside of the hotel and Susukino is six minutes away. Would our hotel experience have been the same had we not gotten the upgrade? Of course not. Regardless, we would go back to this hotel again.

The famous Tanukikoji shopping district is a matter of minutes away as are countless dining options. The service was incredible. The staff were friendly and hospitable. Great location, hotel is just right next to the famous Ramen street! 4 mins walk to Susukino station, underground shopping and if you are looking to stay in a buzzy nightlife area, this is for you. Polite hotel staff, very helpful, can speak English. Breakfast is so-so and 24hours access to gym & massage chairs. Rooms are small, not for big size people. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay there.

The hotel is very near to both Namboku and Toho line! The staffs are friendly and the rooms are clean. The only problem I had was the A/C, it came out warm wind instead... So it's very humid till I had to open the windows, which we can smell the Yakiniku everywhere (cause it's next door).
Overall, it's a memorable stay for me.

We liked the comfort of the beds because they were big enough for westerners and sleep was important as we travelled all day and wanted a comfortable stay at night. The rooms are small to medium size we were able to fit 2 large 2 small and other bags into the room no problem, but we expected that as we have stayed in Japan before. Small bathroom but at least we had a hot shower. The toilet had wires hanging out though. In both the rooms we stayed at. At first we got a frosty welcome from the people serving us but the others were very friendly and service was outstanding. Limited English but managable. The

As for the neighbourhood, I found it hard to get service at the bars at night. Huge option for food and there is shopping and transport close by. Surprising was the amount of people that spoke English for directions and answering any queries.

Was told by the check-in staff that the hotel was overbooked(1st time I encounter such overbooked hotel in Japan) & she try to persuade us to change hotel, try to convince us that it isn't so far away but I insisted to stay at Holiday Inn which I originally booked & paid for months in advance. so she told us to go back at 3pm and I had to wait abt 15mins when we went back at 3pm. If they are so punctual about the check-in time strictly at 3pm then I think its only fair that we have our room ready sharp at 3pm when we go back to check-in. We were given a room without window at all, not sure if its bcoz of the cheap price I paid, anyway was too tired to go change the room again.

Smoky rooms, but great breakfast buffet

Staying in the Ana Sapporo for the Snow Festival, I had booked in advance and asked for a non-smoking room. The room I received was non-smoking, but had definitely been used before by smokers. My friends, also staying in the same hotel but different room, complained of the same problem. It wasn't a major issue for me, as I spent most of my time outside of the room, but I would also expect better for the money spent.

That said, the breakfast buffet was great and well worth the extra payment on arrival.

Snowmobile was quite an adventure, fun! Arrive 3 days before the snow festival, not able to see the whole setting, but get a feeling of how beautiful it would become once the festival start. Crab dinner all-you-can-eat is the best meal during this trip!

Great location near subway (1 1/2 block to Susukino subway station) to Sapporo JR station). Restaurants abound walking distance to hotel. Mr Yamamoto at reception was extremely helpful to help us book a day tour. Small rooms and bathrooms but nice and clean. Recovery tax was expensive for three night stay though $100 for $50/night. Other hotels were just 18% of the total.

Great Value in Convenient Location

We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn in Suskino (twice in fact), in transit to Niseko. This hotel is located incredibly close (a block and a half) to the Susukino subway station, two stops down from Sapporo Station and the JR Tower. This makes this place incredibly convenient and great value as we booked this hotel for between $68-$85 AUD in their standard room which included breakfast. The rooms aren't huge, and the bathroom is a bit tiny - but everything is quite modern and is very comfortable. Great restaurants near by, convenient store (7 eleven) downstairs and Starbucks a block down (not that I drink Starbucks at home, but when your traveling it seems to be bearable! No offense to those who actually enjoy Starbucks of course.)

Nice hotel

The location is very good and easy to get to the subway or shopping. Staff is very helpful. The room was very clean and big for 2 people. I would stay in this hotel again next time.

Great location and fabulous buffet

The location is right in the middle of the entertainment district and close to subway and bus stops. Rooms are a bit small but that is not a problem if used primarily for sleeping. Their breakfast buffet has everything you could want and the ingrediants appear to be very fresh. Also have lunch and dinner buffet but did not try these. Hotel is very clean and the staff was friendly.
