The NH Ravenna hotel is set in the charming old town and just a short walk away from Ravenna's top sites, shops, and restaurants. Guests can walk to the 8 different UNESCO World Heritage monuments and the train station is two minutes away on foot, providing access to all of the nearby attractions.

NH Ravenna has 84 elegant rooms, some of which come with lovely city views. There is a TV, minibar, and free Wi-Fi in each room, while many have extra-wide tables, perfect for our business guests.

There are also connecting rooms available for families and groups, or guests can stay in the 4th-floor Suite which has two bathrooms and a separate sitting room. Every morning, guests can enjoy a large breakfast buffet that includes a number of sweet and savory options served alongside your favorite morning beverages.

In the afternoons and evenings, our traditional Italian restaurant serves local and regional fare, with a special focus on cuisine from the Emilia Romagna region. For a casual drink, we have an elegant cocktail bar which is the perfect space in which to unwind.

We picked this hotel as was a short 5 minute walk from the train station. It did not really look like the pictures in the listingband seemed a bit dated, but it was clean and comfortable for a night. It is located a short walk to restaurants and sights. Overall, it was fine for a night since we were getting on a cruise ship the next day. They do have a shuttle to the cruise ship terminal for 15 euros per person. The shuttle allowed our friends, who were staying elsewhere, to use it, so we were all able to go to the terminal together.

My “Superior” room was large (there was an unwanted extra single bed) but dull - all grey with not even one picture. Large wardrobe with few hangers. Large bathroom with shower over bath. Small details undermine the overall experience - curtains that don’t close properly, a shower that leaks, lights on bizarrely configured switches. Breakfast buffet with reasonable choice and coffee from machine.

NH Ravenna is a beautiful hotel located in the heart of this wonderful city. The hotel itself is spotless and modern and the rooms are terrific.
You are in within easy walking distance of all the major historical and artistic sites of Ravenna and there are numerous places to eat very close to the hotel especially if you are mobile on foot. There is parking available directly across the street if you’re driving. The staff is impeccable and the morning breakfast was fabulous. This hotel gets my top rating.

The hotel looks a little tired but is very convenient for the station and the ‘centro storico’. Staff were pleasant and friendly but not always knowledgeable.
The air conditioning could not be lowered below 22*C so it was actually heating the room when we arrived in mid May! The only way to get a cool room at night was to open the window, which proved quite noisy.
There were no coffee/tea facilities in the room.
Coffee from the machine at breakfast was pretty decent made with beans from a well-known Italian producer/roasting company.

I booked this property due to proximity to transport links which was very good. I was dissapliinted that i wasnt able to check in on arrival and told that it would tale some time. I accept that we were early but told that our room wouldnt be available until later than stated on the site. It was suggested we leave luggage and go out for the day (all well and good but you habe to then take all valuables with you). After a nice day and evening wandering Ravenna and enjoying donner, we returned to check in and head to our room. It was late at night by this point and the air con had been switched off and when i went to complain i was told that maintenance had gone home and i should open the window. I went back to my room which was in the late 20s by this point and let in the outsode warm air. A very uncomfortable night sleep made worse by the fact that the black out blind wouldnt close. The morning the temprature in the room was 27 degrees c.

Very uncomfortable night stay. Unfortunatly, expedia were not able to help me as the hotel would not return their calls.

Great customer service - thank you Cristina !!

The hotel is in a very convenient location, but what makes it stand out is customer service. We had to leave Bologna at 7am instead of 9am to get ahead of the train strike. Being a little stressed and tired, we did expect to have to wait in the lobby for several hours for our room to be ready, since 9:30am is usually in advance of normal checkin. How many times have I sat in the lobby waiting for the official check in time ?

Well, not this day ! Cristina noted that our room should be ready for immediate occupancy and personally checked that it was so. She was able to get us checked in right away and we were able to get settled and unwind a little before setting out to explore the city. I thank Cristina for this kindness, as well as a few other things she took care of for us during our stay.

As for the hotel - it is very conveniently located to the train station as well as to the city sites. The hotel was pretty comparable in price to the other hotels in the area, but the NH was modern and spacious and I think it probably has a better price / performance as a result. The bed was very comfortable with enough pillows. We didn't include breakfast in our stay. Overall, in this price range, pretty comparable to the other hotels / apartments we have booked and so far, this has been the best value in terms of quality.

To be honest - I am a very tough grader - if I get a decent room for a decent price, that's meeting expectations. A hotel that has good quality compared to the other

It was less than 5 min fr the station.
The hotel is clean , beds are nice and big , the room is spacious ( comparing to other cities in Italy ), buffet is not included but if you are in a rush next morning is a great option for about 15 EUR.

We gave 3 starts to the staff just for the lady in the morning at the buffet her attitude was not the best and seems that she was in a bad mood . The rest of the staff friendly and nice.

We definitely come back!

Enter with caution.

The lobby was nice, but the room was disappointing. The bed springs were easily felt through the mattress and the curtains were literally falling apart. It's impossibile to take a shower without getting the toilet and floors soaking wet. Water was lukewarm at best. Met another guest in the elevator who had a flood in her room. Watch out for the elevator (Only 1 was working,) It will shut on you.

The lobby area is updated & nice, and the breakfast area is well kept and clean. However, our room had a few issues which needed attention: the toilet ran a very long time, the vanity was cracked in a number of places, there was a bit of mold on the bathroom ceiling and the floor by the door was warped so that the door did not swing freely to close. We did have the maintenance team visit to check things out, but they just said “it’s not dangerous “.

Nice centralized location woth a very nice breakfast. The check in was helpful and polite, but slow, 15 min per guest it was like they didn't have it already on a computer reservation. Room was slightly dated , but for the remote local it was very nice. Would recommend.

A clean and largely functional room (one of the bedside lights wasn't working, which would likely have been fixed had we reported it, but then again perhaps it should haveen checked and fixed before we checked in). The hotel is close to both the city centre and the train station, so by and large we were happy with our stay.

Convenient location the main benefit.

Stayed here after cruise arriving in Ravenna. Only 150 yds from station and city centre. Hotel a bit tired and some staff a bit severe. Convenience is the big plus here but perfectly adequate for short stay. Many people go straight to other destinations but Ravenna is well worth spending some time in. Much nicer than Bologna

Brilliant position!

NH Ravenna is a short walk from both the station and the town centre, so it’s position is perfect. The hotel is large and modern with every facility you would expect. Check-in was speedy and efficient, our room was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the modern, well equipped bathroom was a delight!
Breakfast featured everything you would want and the staff were charming and helpful.
I would definitely stay here again.

Great surprise!

NH Ravenna was a wonderful surprise. It is conveniently located close to the train and easy walking distance to any of the major sites in the town. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The room was clean, quiet, comfortable. Definitely a place we will return to.

We chose this hotel over others as, having stayed in many NH hotels in other European countries, we trusted the quality of the brand.
Sadly, we wished we had trusted the reviews instead as it was an expensive disappointment.
Based on the advertised photos, we booked a superior room for the extra space and ended up in a fairly small, hot (aircon was not working) room where the only small window faced the fire scape and the window of the room next door (to which we also had an unsettling connecting door).
We were told by reception they had no other superior rooms and only a junior suite was available if we were willing to pay a nightly surcharge. The suite at least had a large window facing the front so was much brighter, had room for our luggage and the aircon worked so we paid it as it was the easiest option by that point.
But both rooms were very dated, had peeling wallpaper and cheap wood panelling all over and musty furniture. Absolutely shocking in both a supposedly four star hotel and one part of the NH group.
Breakfast was the only good thing but not enough to make up for the many other shortcomings so not a place we would stay at again.

The hotel was all about a good clean place to stay, but the location was excellent. You are walking distance to the local attractions, shopping and restaurants. It was a pick-up location for transportation to the Port for a cruise. While we did not use the train or busses, the station was nearby. Location, location, location!
