A special mention for Tobias who offered very good customer service as the Duty Manager. He was warm and friendly and tried his best to resolve issues. He organised a dinner booking at an external restaurant including the taxi booking.The curtains in the room were tatty and dirty. The water in the room was not replaced on our second day.Thank you.

Been here many time, as it’s one of 2 hotels in town and the other doesn’t have a bar.
The temperature in the rooms cannot be adjusted. And the thermostat is set to very high. Its always been like this and complaining didn’t fix the issue. Bar service is very slow, they can disappear for 10 mins at any time. But they friendly and helpful however.

Sound hotel with afew issues!

Stayed here twice within a month. Breakfast was nice with plenty of options, staff pleasant and helpful and rooms more than adequate. Carpets and decor possibly dated and in need of a ‘freshen up’ and there seems to be a major issue with heating. Both times I stayed my room was like a sweat box. I genuinely don’t think the in room thermostat does anything and both stays I had to sleep with the windows open. On site parking is a plus and the showers are probably the most powerful I’ve ever washed in but the heating was a serious let down for me. Sort that out and you have a very decent hotel

Your best hotel option in Dessau

Dessau is not among the top tourist or business locations in Germany, so there are few hotel options in the city. The Radisson Blu Fürst Leopold Hotel is clearly your best, and perhaps your only option. The hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the Bahnhof, where one can also get buses and trams to different tourist destination. The hotel itself is quite dated, and while everything is clean, the rooms in particular are showing their age, and lack a nice level of comfort.

Not bad if you are there for a nap

The hotel is very dated. Also, everything closes before 10PM, room service included. Apart from free water, there was nothing in the rooms, but reception had everything you needed. Service was rather mediocre, maybe due to the current pandemic restrictions. Breakfast was surprisingly tasty and had plenty of options.

This was a real oasis in an city where there are few places to stay. Staff were so helpful, and the room was wonderful. Really good location just 5 minutes walk to Bauhaus Museum, and around 15-20 minutes walk to Bauhaus Building, and about 4 minutes walk from the station. Heartily recommend it.

As we were individual guests and not part of the conferences that occurred whilst we were there we felt a bit overwhelmed, especially at breakfast , a noisy bun fight! Staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay.
Enjoyed dinner in restaurant food very good!
Reported blackout curtain needed fixing but nothing was done!

I had booked a king suite for my husband and I but was put in a double room. It’s hard to not think that the front desk assumed my husband and I were friends and decided it was best to put us in a double room because we are both males. When I requested the king suite they told us we could put the two twin beds together or stay in a room with a queen bed because that’s the largest they had. Why advertise a king suite when the largest you have is a queen? I opted for the queen bed because I didn’t want to fall in between the two beds while my husband and I slept. I’ve always had an amazing experience booking through Expedia and would hate to have to use a different booking site because of this incident.

Quiet and near the station

In easy reach from the train station, which is why we chose it. In easy walking distance of the Bauhaus as a result. Also in reach of the main square. The room was quiet. There was complimentary water in the room and in the lobby which was nice as it was late summer. The room was hot at night. It looked a bit tired and dated. We needed to ask specially for the WiFi password. An ok hotel but we should have aimed to stay at the Bauhaus itself.

Our stay was made difficult because of a lack of airconditioning. When questioned about this the staff explained that as the weather hsd warmed up there would be no neef for airconditipning so it had been turned off.
In addition the beds were hard and inforgiving.

I was accused of not paying my bill when I left. I had paid it the night before, but the info had not been transferred to the morning desk clerk. I was forced to search thru my luggage for the receipt while spectators looked on. Very unpleasant.

The hotel is in a good location for Bruxelles-midi train station but don't be tempted to do the self service check in (took far longer than doing via the front desk as normal) and the cafe which says one its founding principles is value for money definitely isn't! Better to eat elsewhere probably though the soup of the day was very nice (cost 7.50€). Pleasant overall - we would probably stay again en route to elsewhere.

The Junker's legend.

Great Location. The historical art work on several walls were fantastic!

I really enjoyed all the historical events and dates shown. I only wished they had more photos of the Hugo Junkers's aircraft manufacturing plants. I can't think of any person which epitomizes the city of Dessau more than Hugo Junkers.

Hotel and town in need of some further development

The reception was very impersonal since the receptionist was clearly not keen on communicating with guests who didn't speak German. The room was OK, but dated and WiFi poor. The air conditioning was totally ineffective. Dessau has yet to fully recover from WWII and DDR days and the hotel was not much better. On th eplus side, the hotel is close the train station which has good services to Worlitz and Wittenberg - both are top class tourist attractions.

Good hotel, providing the weather is not hot

When we arrived the outside temperature was 33 degrees. Unfortunately the bedroom (excellent quality) was not much cooler. The response to complaints to management were that the technical manager would be asked to look into the problem. But it was weekend and it appeared that he was not around. Others were also complaining, and complaints to the staff on duty were not answered. We were told to open the window - which let in the mosquitos for their night meal! Eventually a member of staff admitted that the air conditioning plant was not working - it was over 20 years old and needed replacing, and simply could not cope with the temperatures. Apart from the lack of air conditioning, and the lack of customer service from some staff the hotel was actually quite good - so the advice is to avoid it on a hot day!

The room was clean and had everything that was needed. The check in was quick and the staff were friendly. The hotel was easy to find, and is a very short stroll from the train station. My only issue was the internet - I needed to be able to work from my room, which saw me pay the 12 euros charge (which in my view is a little steep) and then the connection was so poor that I ended up needing to sit in the doorway in the hall way in order to be able to complete my work - which was a very annoying!

Basically it is a nice hotel, probanly one of the best in town, although there's not much competition. Food was always consistently very good. No complaints really apart from the serious lack of English speaking tv channels There were only two and one of them was devoted to Moscow-driven anti-American, communist propaganda.

Upscale hotel in midst of GDR country

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel close enough to be accessible to Berlin and Lutherstadt Wittenberg (by train, if possible). The main train station was only a block or two away. The hotel is somewhat upscale, although the town still shows signs of having been in the heart of the former GDR. Our room was spacious, clean, and nicely appointed. So also was the bathroom. We ate supper in the restaurant and the food and service was good. There is also another restaurant [\"Teehäuschen\"] (not related to the hotel and less formal) in the middle of a nearby town park. There is parking available in a secure underground garage, but it is not free as I had been given to understand (about Euro 12,50/night). The staff were quite friendly and many spoke excellent English.

Good hotel. Not a lively town.

The hotel was very good and for a reasonable price. Rooms are large, clean and overall service was excellent. Free wifi internet is great. I stayed for two nights which is a long time in this not-very-lively town. There is not much to do besides a must-see visit to the Bauhaus.

Der Fitness-Bereich war etwas enttäuschend--nur Laufband und Stationary Bike, aber keine Gewichte. Die Decke auf dem Bett war auch ein bisschen zu warm, also schwitzt man beim Schlafen. Das Frühstück ist aber wunderbar, die Leute sind nett, die Sauna ist super und alles ist schön und sauber. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert, aber es könnte besser sein.

Wir waren schon öfter zu Gast, leider eine die Zimmer in sehr unterschiedlichen Zuständen… dieses Mal hatte wir ein Zimmer, welches recht abgewohnt war.
Die Dusche bedarf einer Sanierung… die Vorhänge sehen schlimm aus und irgendwie wäre ein Klimaanlage auch ganz nett.
Das Frühstück ist definitiv schlecht! Wenig Auswahl, schlechter Service, für den Preis echt schade.

Die Lage ist direkt im Zentrum und in der Nähe vom Bahnhof. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind ebenfalls in der Nähe. Das Hotel selber ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und sowohl im Haus selber als auch im Zimmer sieht man in den Ecken das Alter. Der Service und die Rezeption waren stets hilfsbereit und alle Anfragen konnten geklärt werden.

Im Wellnessbereich gab es einen kleinen Whirlpool, ein kleines Fitnessstudio, zwei Saunen und eine Dampfsauna. Leider funktionierte nur eine Sauna.

Das Frühstück war vielfältig und lecker. Allerdings waren an beiden Tagen viele Dinge ab 9:30 Uhr nicht mehr vorhanden. Aufgrund der Masse ist der Service, der stets freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend war, nur noch schwer hinterhergekommen die Tische abzuräumen und die Speisen aufzufüllen.

Ich hatte geschäftlich eine Nacht gebucht. Das Hotel ist in die Tage gekommen und doch schon etwas abgerockt. Zimmer war ok. Das Bett sehr gut, was wichtig ist. Beim Frühstück gab es Brötchen, die ihre Bezeichnung nicht verdient haben. Es waren kleine Snacks. Ich hatte leider das Pech, das eine Gesellschaft eincheckte. So hatte ich lange zu warten und der Fahrstuhl war permanent besetzt.

Fint hotel med god beliggenhed. Godt værelse, kunne dog ikke køle rummet ned med aircon! (32 gr udenfor).
Morgenbuffetten var ringe. Ingen kaffe, ingen yoghurt, ingen orange juice og ingen afrydning. Sløvt personale og dårlig stemning.

Sehr zufrieden, nettes personal, mein Kind hat beim Frühstück Stifte und ein Bild zum ausmalen bekommen. Das Zimmer war definitiv groß genug für 2 erwachsene und ein Beistellbett.

Das einzig negative war der Boden in der Tiefgarage, der benötogt eine Reparatur.
