Booked a water villa for the New Year celebration and had a wonderful stay. The villa was cozy yet felt very luxurious, with a beautiful private pool that I used throughout the day. Because of that, I often needed extra towels and floor towels, and housekeeping was excellent. They were very responsive and always provided everything I needed. The room was comfortable and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, a relaxing and memorable experience.

The hotel is beautiful, and the room is clean, spacious, and equipped with everything one might need. However, there is a major issue with the excessive noise coming from the air conditioner and the fan inside the room. Personally, I wasn’t able to sleep even after reducing the AC airflow to the lowest level, as the noise remained very loud. I also couldn’t turn off the AC and use the fan only, because the fan itself was extremely loud and disturbing.

Additionally, the pool water is very cold, and with the rain and chilly weather, swimming in the private pool becomes impractical due to the low temperature. The pool definitely needs water heating.

The hotel is quite old, and I believe most of the rooms need their air-conditioning units to be upgraded, as both the indoor and outdoor units produce an unbearable level of noise.

Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Hype

I booked a 3-night, 4-day stay at this property based on positive ratings and Expedia recommendations, but unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. I ended up checking out a day early due to several issues, yet was still charged for the full duration.

Unwelcoming Check-In: Despite having fully paid in advance, I was asked to pay additional deposits and tourism tax upfront. I suggested settling the tax at checkout or deducting it from the deposit, but this was not accepted and handled rather inflexibly.

Limited Dining Options: There is only one restaurant offering mostly Malay cuisine. Other food options were pre-packed, minimal, and there was no continental fare available. When I requested fresh juice or tea during breakfast, I was told it would cost extra and later that it couldn’t be provided due to lack of staff.

Basic and Infrequent Housekeeping: Housekeeping was provided only once during the stay. Even for essentials like bottled water, payment was requested first before delivery.

No Recreational Activities: Although the property advertises amenities like bicycles and go-karts, none were actually available. Aside from the room, there was little to do on-site.

No Refund for Early Checkout: I left a day early due to the poor experience, but the hotel refused to refund the unused night. Ironically, I was also asked to pay tourism tax for the night I didn’t even stay.

Great place to relax, from the receptionist’s to the F&B, security all the staff are friendly and polite. I arrived at breakfast when they’d just set up, plenty of choice, teh is very weak and the hot dishes were cold, especially the hash browns.

A tired looking resort propped up by its staff

This hotel feels like stepping back in time to the 1990s. It is tired and outdated. The staff and service levels are excellent, and the facilities are decent, but the hotel cannot exist purely on the excellence of its people. If you just need to chill out for a day or two, then it should fit the bill but I wouldn't be looking to stay any longer than that, if I were you.

Stayed one night at the garden view pool villa and was quite disappointed with it. Hotel corresponded to me after my booking and acknowledged that I will need a baby cot and will provide it in my room.
Arrived the hotel at 12.30pm and was told that I could not check-in early which was understandable. After 45mins of wait, was told that a room of my booking is available and will need 1hour to get the room ready for my stay. I went for lunch outside and was back at 2.45pm, was told that the room was still not ready. Waited again and at 3.20pm when my wife complained about the previous agreement of one hour were we given a room immediately.
Room looks old and my wife had insects bites on her legs after a night of sleep.

We settled our dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Service was average, food was average as well.

The location of the place was fantastic. My son came across nails floating in the private room pool. Room floor was not cleaned there was fair bit of hair on the floor and the shower. Other than that the staff was excellent. In the night we requested for some mosquito repellent and was provided in no time.

The service could be improve. They ask to wear mask for breakfast only to open it during breakfast. If didnt wear mask, they ask to return to your room to get it back, then buggy services is less, only for you to walk back to your far away room. Since we dined in everyday, we request for buggy, but have to wait for at least half an hour, sometimes no with no come sue to they miss inform our room no. Then they loss data to the room card key. We just finished lunch in cafe, went to far away room, cannot enter. Then walk back to lobby and was told the card loss data, want to use buggy to returned to room, but denied due to others who are not yet there waiting for it.
Otherwise, room is ok, facilities is ok, food is delicious. Pool is clean.

It needs a complete refurbishment as the overall condition is very old and worn out with spoilt blind. Cleanliness is another issue here whereby there is moss around the bathroom/toilet, the towel has stain on it and there are leftover hairs on the hair dryer which is unacceptable. This is a disappointing experience for the expensive room rate paid.

No beach at this property, so basically there is nothing to do except the pool.
The private pool was ok, the kids enjoyed it.

Wrong air cond location and breakfast portion.

Our stay would be the greatest if the room's air conditioner outlet was not located right above our bed which was kind of freezing at night. The breakfast taste so good but unfortunately only 1 portion is allowed during this pandemic and cannot be added on further.

Clean area. Oh my grandma is an amputee with no leg so they are very careful around her and made sure my grandma is safely in the room, also rode the buggy and very very very carefully driven. Other than a personal pool (Garden View Villa), there's very little to commend about the venue. Even the personal pool maintenance needs to be looked at as I find the water filter inlet partially covered with what appears to be a kitchen towel.
Some of the room fixtures are in need of replacing, room wifi non-existent and breakfast fare is so-so, nothing to shout about.
What I would like to see is better facilities for disabled people and baby strollers. The outdoor breakfast area needs pest control due to the overwhelming amount of flies whom decided to join my family for breakfast.

A happy stay with friends

It was an amazing stay as we were being upgraded to Sky Pool Villa with sea view. The private covered pool was fantastic. The room was huge with two queen beds which can sleep four. There’s a separate pantry. I personally had wanted to be at Grand Lexis quite sometime ago. But we found that the pillows were a bit heavy and not very comfortable. On the whole, we were happy with our stay at Grand Lexis Port Dickson.

Lots of drawer's knob were loose, the lamp underneath the sink fell down (the screws were loose) when I leaned on the sink, the shower's hose were leaking all over... In short, the room's condition were bad, nothing that can't be fixed in 1 hour if only someone were to check...

This is my 6@7 times staying in this hotel. Overall is ok. Front desk is ok. The room is not so clean,seen many of hair on the floor. The toilet flush also not working,need to pour water in,everytime u need to pee@boo. Ask for mosquito plug,but just sent me the mosquito liquid repellent only. Dust around the table,lamp,mug☹️. The breakfast just so so,maybe because of mco. Not like before.

Disappointing Stay Too Crowded

We booked over Hari Raya Haji weekend for family stay. The rooms are very large & great for family - especially liked the pools in each of the suites.
We were disappointed to learn on arrival that all activities except swimming pool were not available for guests, which was the main reason for our stay.
The hotel resort was also very busy with little social distancing due to crowds at lobby with guests checking in & breakfast Friday morning. The breakfast was definitely not 5 star which was disappointing to say the least.

A Great Stay for Family

Second time staying at the Grand Pool Villa. Everthing meets expectation or better but was dissapointed with the breakfast service. I have another guest with me and we are paying the breakfast for him. Unfortunately, we have to go to to the hotel reception to pay for the breakfast. We could have just settle it at the restaurant and not spoil our day. Could have also charge it to the room. Thats what best hotels do.

the cleanliness and ambience was great! the service was fast with friendly staffs. the only thing that was unexpected was the aircond condition, as the room was quite warm at night eventhough we’ve adjusted the temp. which we ended up slept with both aircond n fan on.

Receptionist is nice. However, the room arrangement is not expected to have the ocean-faced type. Booking through Expedia was so confused. The dinner and food size we had in the cafe was great and good.

My room tel and a light were broken. I need to walk to the receiptionist again to ask for repairing.

No body answer whenever I called to the massage service as they have 1 staff only. I need to make booking in person from time to time. I stayed there for 3 days, however all booking times are full. Finally, the hotel staffs recomended me to go outside for massage.

Overall, the hotel is quite old.

Not a first time staying with Lexis Group. Their service was fantastic, never disappoint with guest.

However, they should improve their security manner. The security came to me to declare my car cannot park at the parking spot infront of Garden Wings. I’m just wondering why we cannot park there as we stay at Garden Wings. While he is using very rude English to talk to us. We told him that we saw someone park the car just behind us and walkway to somewhere else so why we cannot park then. Then I speechless that time and just walk away. The place is open for guest to park. If the place is not open then I would not park my car there. What’s a disappointment! Anyway, it’s was good stayed for us.

It is still ok; overall. The room a bit old. Ants and dusty dust everywhere esp kitchenette area.

During check in, I've been confirmed that my room was highest floor (level 8) which I requested but the room was not ready yet. After almost half an hour waiting then we received a call that room was ready. Unfortunately it was at 7th floor so I insisted the 8th floor again. They said ok but still need to wait. I said ok. Unfortunately, after almost 25 minutes of waiting, we received a call saying that level 8 was closed for maintenance by house keeping. Why on earth they give us false hope at the first place!??? Such a waste of time. And bad customer service.

The best was the swimming pool confined within the room allows us to watch after the kids in a comfortable area. The Breakfast spread was very diverse but the place was a bit too pack.

Great hotel.

Stay was amazing but not sure why booking from hotel.com only breakfast for 2 when booking for 4 per room? They say hotel policy...but other booking platforms state for 4. When wanted to cancel not allowed but another platform allowed even though there's was a better deal and non refundable!
Felt bad cancelling on them when actually wanted to cancel via hotel.com. Anyway Grand Lexis made us feel great and were very friendly and professional.

A very good getaway place

The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient. From front desk - Erma to the Coffee House - Mages. The concierge was very efficient and always ready to give us a hand. From allocating a parking bay as the disabled bays were full to getting us the buggy to head to our rooms.
The rooms were clean. Our private pool was clean. It was also very peaceful and quiet inspite of the hotel being full.
Overall great stay! Will sure recommend and will return!
