The bed mattress had to be over 20 years old. You could feel every hole and I think it had spring coils in it. There were long BLACK hairs in the sink (I’m blonde) on arrival. For a queen size bed you only get 2 old pillows and a duvet with cigarette burn holes in it. After 10 minutes in the room I was soooo grossed out I had to ask for a refund and depart to another hotel. I couldn’t stay. And I am not ever picky. The entire motel needs a makeover. I also did not feel safe. There must be subsidies residents living on the property. Lots of smokers outside.

Lots of screaming guests fighting loud noises had to move rooms once the morning wake up was a couple fighting, and it was not the best experience, but you get what you pay for I guess

Check in was pleasant and easy. Room was basic but fairly clean. Did find a grape twig stuck inside bedding which made me question cleanliness and if blankets changed. Doors slam loud throughout night. But overall an OK hotel for the price. Good location.

Older hotel but good condition. The check-in attendant staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

The room was very spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable.

There were numerous non-smoking signs, but the hotel's elevator and halls smelled awful—almost like someone had just finished smoking.

The posted elevator inspection certificate was out of date.

Overall decent stay for one night and the rate. Conveniently located to the shops and roadway.

It’s November 6th in New Hampshire. Over night, last night it was approximately 20 degrees and below zero with the windchill outside. Inside our room, it was in the 30’s. The heater was blowing freezing cold air all night long. The front desk said… “Yeah… We know. Those heaters are temperamental. There’s nothing they can do about it. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. We could move you, but there’s no guarantee the heat will work in the room we move you into.” So, they didn’t bother moving us and we literally froze all night.

I love Motel 6. It’s my go to motel for the availability, consistency, and value. However, my room on this visit was down a hallway without any lights. It’s not that the lights were turned off; it’s that there were no light fixtures at all. The fixtures had been removed. Ordinarily, I would just brush this off, but the Motel 6 spokesperson, Tom Bodett, famously says, “We'll leave the light on for you.” On this visit, that did not happen. I will still continue to choose Motel 6, but now with the understanding that “We'll leave the light on for you” is more of a catch phrase rather than a reality.

Pipe work was done on water lines. Could not take a shower before my event because it was dirty. Ran water lines for 2 hours still dirty. Gave up. Heater in room didnt produce hot air. Room only got up to 67 degrees. I was so cold. No help from the desk.

Hostess was pretty rude told me we had no reservation but later found it was interrupted bye another customer who was given a room and someone was already in it. The room was in poor shape ants on the floor none of the doors to the building were locked anyone could’ve walked in didn’t even stay the last night had enough won’t stay again.

When we checked in the front desk worker spoke little to no english. We get up to our room and get settled for the night to then receive a call from the front desk in broken english asking if we had got checked in ok, when she was the one who checked us on. 5 minutes later there was knocking on our door as we were trying to sleep, the front desk had given a new couple our room number and key cards to it after she checked us in. The young couple went back to the lobby after they realized the front desk over booked the room. 5 minutes after this we receive yet another phone call from the front desk in broke english asking who we were and what room we were in.

This was hands down the most unprofessional and worst service we have ever seen, and yes we did not expect much from a motel 6 but this somehow was worse than what our expectations were.

This hotel is very conveniently located to the Interstate and has plenty of shopping and eating options right across the road. It is a pet friendly hotel, which is great for people traveling with their fur babies, however when you step in the lobby area and elevator there is a very strong pet odor. Our room was clean enough and did not smell.

First- the woman at the desk- professional and top of the line. Excellent! Well dressed and well spoken. She deserves better than this dangerous place. This place is surrounded by trash and vagrants. There is no safe, specified place to walk dogs. Do not stay here. We eventually left, despite having traveled 9 hours. I would rather drive 5 hours more than stay here.

Found someone else’s ear plug on the floor. The It was dirty and outdated. The facet in the bathroom sprayed everywhere soaking not only the counter but also the floor. The outside side door near our room doesn’t latch. The woman that checked us in was very rude and short. Would not recommend.

The sink in the bathroom was plugged, unable to even use. It asked for more pillows, and I had to go down to the desk to get them. The thermostat on the wall was disgustingly filthy towels were more like paper towels, really cheap and expensive thin no paper or pen. TV was very small. Very limited for channels old motel needs to have an update needed it in a pinch took it but never would do it again thank you for accepting my comments.

Unruly loud guests banging on doors. Dirty. No refrigerator, microwave or coffee maker( that is a more expensive room). Had to call security and I was told to “ calm down” upon answering my call and I was completely calm as other guests were yelling and screaming in room next to us. Stayed in a pet friendly room that smelled like a wet dog. Have stayed in many hotel 6 motels AND will never stay in this one again. Zero concern for guests safety

We booked this hotel many months ago for the Thunder Over New Hampshire airshow. I booked 2 rooms. One room smelled of cigarette smoke really badly, and the hallways also had a reminder of a nursing home smell. The other room only had sheets on the beds with no blankets. I believe there are a lot of extended stay guests that call Motel 6 home, based off of what I saw when other motel guest were entering their rooms. They looked like they lived there and were often seen smoking outside (thankfully) but the odor just traveled with them inside. I would not recommend this hotel and suggest staying somewhere else. It didn’t help that the weather was terrible for the airshow and everything got soaked. I did enjoy a hot shower after the storm, lol. The staff was friendly at checkin.

First off, the staff all deserve awards for working as quickly and efficiently as they did in that environment. Workers bear the brunt of bad owner and management decisions, often without even the small recourse of complaining that customers have, and these guys were putting up with a lot.

The hotel was clean but stuff was worn down. The ballast in the light above the reception counter had a loud awful hum. The flooring in my room's bathroom was lifting. There were holes about the size of a hammer head in the wall of the room, some of the built in furniture was damaged.

One the plus side, things were clean as mentioned, the beds were well made and comfortable. The environmental controls worked well. We couldn't hear too much noise from the ajoining rooms.

Overall it had the vibe of a hotel with hard working staff suffering under an owner taking plays out of the slum lord playbook, the kind who justifies holding off on repairs because \"They'll just break it again anyways.\"

Also, human trafficking seemed to be an issue there, or at least, someone was very concerned that it might be.

We were at the airshow at Pease AFB and there was a huge thunderstorm. Many people including us got soaking wet and a lot those people were staying at the same hotel as we were. Only one of the driers was working in the hotel guest laundry. Other people were constantly using the one drier and after about four attempts I still wasn't able to get all of our soaking wet clothes into the drier. It would have been nice to have had all the driers working under those circumstances. Other than that, it's not bad considering its not a luxury hotel with luxury hotel prices. The two girls working the front desk were excellent. They were courteous enough to let us park our car there at the hotel all day long to go to the airshow even though we weren't checked in yet. I'd probably stay there again.

We rented 2 rooms. Ours was OK but the second room was horrible. There was dirty washcloths under the mattress. The dealing in the bathroom was falling down. The sink faucet was falling off and there was no cold water. They should be ashamed to rent a room that looks like that and to charge $200 per night. Do not stay here.

Eh..the smell would keep me from coming back.

Dog friendly which was a plus but ... the smell through out the whole hotel was strong and musky. Our room had a very strong oder also. Im sure from where dogs pee in the rooms and they have to use cleaner. Thank goodness we could open the window to let some fresh air in. There was very little grass around for potty breaks. The beds were very old and not very comfortable.

It was the Perfect place to stay for an overnight near the Portsmouth Airport to fly out the next morning! It was clean, updated, had coffee in the lobby, we had a first floor room near the lobby as my hubby is handicapped and convenient parking as well!

Motel 6 can sometimes be a crapshoot across the country but this one is a jewel. Right off the highway and the property is meticulously cared for. One small disadvantages is that the pool is not operational. Other than that we give it a big thumbs up!

The lights didn't work in the hallway at our end of the hall. The lights in the room flickered a lot when we tried to turn them on. One light didn't seem to do anything. The Wi-Fi didn't work, and we were told that we had to call the front desk, and that there was a white box on the white background that we didn't click, so we were told that we were just wrong. The room was good. Gps location directions were very weird.

Room was decent, there were missing hall lights in my wing. Rooms don't get cleaned during the week so you will have to request it from the front desk. Doors to each room shut pretty hard and are loud so you can hear the rooms around you. Overall it wasn't that bad but I won't book again

Does not look like any of the pictures. The room was extremely small. It was not as clean as it should have been. They advertise a pool, but no pool was open or had been used in forever, it looked like. I purposely booked due to the pool. The ice machine did not work. had to leave to purchase ice. stayed one night to pick up someone at the airport and will never stay again. Reviews said clean...it was not clean. I could not get into another hotel, so I had no choice but to stay. Beware!!

Staff was ok. Room was clean. There was a cigarette smell in the room at one point, not sure if it was someone in another room or maybe from the outside...but we were on the fourth floor. The shower made a loud whistling noise from no water pressure, the toilet flushed loudly and hard, the faucet water shoots out even when you try to just have it barely coming out. The beds are thin, cheap and very firm, and there are 2 pillows that are not comfortable...if you do decide to stay there maybe bring your own pillows at least. There is no \"ac\" its more of a dehumidifier...it only runs on low and dry. The outside and some people staying there are sketchy, there was police presence there across the parking lot at the church next door and other reviews have said the same things. There \"is\" an outside pool but it is not open nor taken care of it all. The only way of entering the building is from the front check out area, all other doors are exit only doors, most hotels you can enter and exit from every door with a key card...just made it a little inconvenient from the parking lot. Also, for any ladies staying there...there are no hair dryers in the bathrooms. There is an ice maker but appears to only be downstairs and also vending machine on the first floor.
I would stay ther eonky if needed because you could do better elsewhere. The one positive is it is right off the highway...but 28 minutes from long sands beach in york, me.

Its in a good area but cindition has gone downhill since the last timw I stayed there. May have new owners. Bare minimum of most things you come to expect. No hair dryer or tissues. Outlets didnt all work. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet which was really good. Parking was good. If you arent looking for luxuary, this is an ok place to stay. Since we arent in the room much, it was ok for the price.

Roaches, no shower curtain, outdated look.

I dont see this as a staff issue, they were nice and it did seem like they clean it much as possible. However, the hotel needs repairs and to be fumigated for the roaches. Maybe there are long term tenants that bring them in? Location is not bad and its very easy to commute to the beach, but I would never stay here again.

My AC did work just fine in the room, if anything it got too cold but no complaints there. Pool is not open late July and probably wont be under current ownership/management

Front desk asked me several times if I had a dog, I told them no. Then they proceed to tell me this is the only entrance to the building. building *Thefront door. Then I started question the area that I choose to stop in. Luckily for me i got one of the three spots infront of the main door. Water pressure was low in the shower . It looks like they are trying to make it better but doesn't do me any good at the moment. Also only one elevator . Really slow for only having four floors.
