The room was good ... and clean ... Staff were friendly and courteous. Their restaurant was only open from 6 am-10 am for breakfast ... we stayed 5 days .. Same food everyday ... We could order food from another restaurant and have it delivered .. Tried once .. food was cold upon arrival .. Then restaurant closed for 6 days over the New year

This was a quick layover en route to northern Thailand. The staff is really excellent, informative and kind. We especially liked Chin. He gave us an excellent tip for a walkable dinner. The room is well-appointed, dated and could be cleaner. The walls and floors needed some attention. Overall ok. Thanks.

Excellent stay in Bangkok!!! :D

We stayed as a couple on this hotel for 16 nights and it was absolutely worth the price.
If you’re ok with some commute to different attractions, then this hotel is absolutely worth a visit!
The staff was very friendly and helpful! :)
The cleaning was great but it could be a little bit better at some corners on the floor in bathroom.
We can highly recommend this hotel for everyone who want’s to visit Bangkok for a great price! :)

The corner room I requested served me best. There was a big group of chinese tourist, so plan your breakfast accordingly. There was a few bars across the road, they were alright. It is a reasonable hotel when you have a meeting nearby.

First time to try this hotel. It is close to the new BTS Ratchayotin station the new shopping mall with lots of dining options. The hotel itself is not really new, but rather well-maintained and clean. Overall it was a good experience.

Northgate Ratchayothin was a good choice for us. We didnt realise how far from the city it was but discovered Grab (like uber) which helped a lot. Free breakfast offering was great. Room was spacious, don’t drink the water from the tap! Otherwise no issues with our stay thankfully.The free hotel Shuttle to the Chatuchak market and other surroundings was great!

1450 baht for washing 7 pieces of clothes plus undies and socks. Taxi calling to the airport costs 800 baht when the taxi fare is between 300-400 baht only. They told us it would be a van but it turned out to be a regular taxi..so what was 400 baht was for? For just a phone call? Other hotels around the world would do that for free or a small sum as a part of being in hospitality industry.
420 baht fine if one towel has a stain. It was just dirt as the towel was dropped on the floor and could be washed off with water. The staff was helpful and tried to remove the dirt on the spot so that we did not get fined. The policy is very ridiculous. The 'meh' rating is for the policy, not staff or the facility. It is well-maintained, convenient and centrally located.

The room looks beautiful in photos and is over all. They did have amazing pillows though.
It is on a very noisy street, but it does quiet down late evening. Very good location.

One thing that was not so great was the towels. They smelled of mildew. I actually took them across the street and paid for them to be washed. I was so happy I did this!!

The wait staff in the restaurant were not very friendly and did not smile (so unusual in Cambodia, as my experience has been so amazing with wait staff and locals)

Very nice hotel with top notch service.
Please be aware of the location challenges before you book. I enjoyed my stay and found the staff to be very attentive and helpful. The morning breakfast is excellent with plenty of choices. I would rate this as a 5 star property with 4 star prices.
Will go back and stay here again!
Recommended AAA+++.
P.S. plenty of cheap cabs to take you wherever you like.

This Northgate Ratchayothin hotel is very hard to find. I took a taxi several times during our stay, but Taxi driver couldn't find many times. I need to call the hotel and ask for the exact address...
And, Many Chinese were speaking loudly in the lobby/corridor early morning/Night time... But the receptionist or the doorman didn't pay attention.

My very positive experience at Northgate began with Pia, at the check-in desk. She was friendly, polite, and spoke fabulous English. Pia made check-in a fast, pleasant experience.

Room was clean, spacious, looked new. Bed was comfortable, room service was good.

An oasis in busy Bangkok

we had a 4 nights' stay at Northgate and could easily have stayed on for much longer. The breakfast range was extraordinary - a culinary delight. The staff right from our arrival to departure was very helpful and friendly - nothing was ever too much. The shuttle service to JJ market was very much appreciated. A big bonus was the swimming pool on the rooftop as well as the gym - it was almost as if we had both items to ourselves. All in all - it was a very pleasurable experience and we would certainly come back to Northgate if we did visit Bangkok again. Very highly recommended for single or groups of travellers.

Alot further from markets, main centres then we first anticipated. Wifi kept dropping out we had to sign in again and again each morning. It states there is a free shuttle it doesnt mention that it is to specific places only which does make it harder if you're there to sightsee. We didnt use the tennis court but you have to pay for lighting after 6pm and pay to use the equipment. The fitness centre isnt really a fitness centre its more a fitness room which is a shame as there isn't room for probably more than 3 people. Customer service is really great but always room to improve.

I booked a nonsmoking room but when I arrived I was told there were no nonsmoking rooms available. When I refused to stay in a smoking room (which smelled terrible) I was then given a nonsmoking room. After the bad check in experience the rest of the stay in the hotel was fine.

Good hotel for overnight stay close to airport.

We had a one-night stopover in Bangkok before traveling to the South flying out of Don Muang early in the morning. This hotel was a perfect choice. Not too pricey as it was a short stay, close to airport, and breakfast was plenty before embarking on our journey. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who's planning to fly out of Don Muang in the morning. However, if I were to stay in Bangkok a few days, I would not chose this hotel as it's not in a central location.

A Place that I always stay at

From the time of check-in to departure check-out, i can only say Wow! The staff is always pleasent and go all out for my stay to be as pleasent and safe as I would have at home all the time. Room's are as they say they are - Clean, comfortable and most importanly Very Quiet from surrounding street noice's. The in house resturant has all that is required to make my stay a Wow stay. Good food, tasty and hot all the time. There is nothing that comes to my mind that would be negative about all my stays at this hotel.

Hotel was very far from main malls but near chatuchak market. All taxis we asked does not know this hotel so we had a hard time going back. We have to show the brochure of the hotel. Very inconvenient location if you want to shop around. Only one receptionist is friendly. The gentleman whom i forgot his name. But i think he is the only male receptionist there. He even arranged our taxi going to the airport. The rest are all unfriendly and not smiling.

This is not the first time I have stayed at this location! From the time i arrived until I checked out, the experience was Top Notch! You can count on the stay to do their best 100% of the time! Rooms are clean! New furniture is always working and not damaged. The resturant serve's a good Multi Cultural meal all the time. I will always book this hotel as it is conveniently located from all major ammenities. This is truly a AMAZING Experience.
