I stayed in this hotel for 8 days and wow. Four stars, never in a million years. To be honest the worst hotel in a good 20 years and I normally only stay in 4 or 5 stars hotel within my frequent business and private travels.

Here are a few points:

- if you want a decent 4 star hotel, go down the street to the Four Points. Unfortunately it was booked out due to a concert.

- I left the hotel on Monday morning at 8.30am and somebody was sleeping on a two seater couch in the hallway.

- dirty dishes everywhere in the hallway from room service when I came back to to hotel in the middle of the night although always around 5 people nicely chatting at the reception instead of cleaning this mess up

- dirty socks laying in the middle of the hallway

- the aircon in my room looked so run down and was loud. I couldnt switch it off whatsoever. I was just waiting when it fell off the ceiling

- every night endless mosquitos in the room but I couldnt find where they came in considering that you couldnt open any window. the hotel didnt provide any anti mosquito plug ins like the three star hotel next door for example.

- one the the room wasnt done although I told them in the afternoon when I quickly dropped off my backpack.

- the area around is full of overnight parked trucks and truck drivers and consequently a lot of street hookers.

- hallways and room just run
down

Those are just the main points. So if you expect a four star standard do not chose this hotel.

Bad location, in middle of truck stop. No stores near by for 1/2 km. Facilities in rooms broken including hot water, no attention to detail.

Conveniently located, easy access to Vashi sector 17, 10 markets. The property is located in busy Truck terminal which I did not like. Room and hallway were damp, need better ventilation. Elevators are very tiny, need bigger lift that can accommodate 6 people comfortably. Overall I found the hotel pricy and not value for money.

Excellent Stay!!!

Having stayed at a few hotels in Mumbai over the past few years, this one has been the best one so far.
On arrival to the hotel, we requested to change rooms as there was some building work going on within the corridor. The change of room was dealt with promptly and efficiently. On arrival into the room, the room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner was excellent too. We stayed here to watch the Cricket at Wankhede from England and I have to say that the hospitality from ALL staff is the best I’ve ever experienced. The establishment is of 5 star quality - I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends. Thank you for a great stay - I’m due back in Mumbai in a few weeks and will be booking again

Royal Orchid is a great property, rooms are clean and well maintained. We, however, had a poor experience. We booked two non-smoking rooms and requested rooms that were close together. Check-in staff allocated two rooms next to each other BUT these were smoking rooms and one reeked of smoke. Then we were told there were no other rooms, and we could only be moved to non-smoking rooms the following day. We were given no notice that we were allotted smoking rooms, we found out when we got in. We asked for an extra bed in the one room (which wasn't as bad as the other smoking room) and all 5 of us (2 kids included) spent the night there.

Next day they did move us into non smoking rooms - however, we asked for a refund of the first night (of one room). Was denied. Not staying there again!

Very disappointed. Stayed at Royal Orchid after a few years only coz it was close to work. Dirty rooms, torn bed linen and over priced food. Staff was friendly but couldn't make up for the short comings. Will not be staying here again.

Disgusting. They call them self a 4 star property but the fact is Royal Orchid is not even 1 star .
Worst experience of my life . They don't have towels in the room .... the basic requirement of a guest . They say they are running short of towels..... unimaginable .
The so called Duty Manager is not on duty in night shift he is absconding , when the front office executive tried contacting him , his phone is switched off . Guys stay away from this property the people are nasty ..... they are trained how to get away from their responsibilities . I willNEVER STAY in this property ...... horrible is not the word .

Unhygienic rooms - Bathroom was not cleaned, there were used towels and no fresh towels in the toilet. Pillows and linen were dirty.

Overall experience was really bad

We went to this hotel thinking our first night stay after our wedding would be good will be good but it turned out the other way round.
Firstly, the ac was not working. We called the mechanic to checked twice but after 2 hours the mechanic tells us the ac machine is not working properly. We were newly weds couple and No special service was given to us.
I would say my overall experience was really bad. Kind of ruined my first night. Not at all worth for 5 and half grand.

Cold shower poor breakfast

I stayed for 2 nights in May 2016 and could not get hot water in the shower. The breakfast had a very small selection of western options and the staff whilst they tried to be helpful seemed only to have a few phrases of English and could not deal with queries they were not used to answering. There English was still way better than my Hindi though

poorly maintained

Hotel is not well maintained...all night i could hear sound from my bed back rest panel ..maybe there were rats.Noise from the corridor and upper floor could be heard making it difficult to sleep.AC panel was also broken. Very bad choices in in room dining and expensive. I will not like to stay there again. Staff looked poorly presented and bare of any smile.

Nice hotel while not close to the beach

I had a couple of nights in the hotel. It took me 100 minutes from Mumbair domestic airport to the hotel since my taxi driver possiblly doesn't know much about the area. Vashi station should be the nearest train station and it will cost 50 Indian dollars by TUTU. The room service & breakfast is good. Large & cleaning bed room with lots of facilities. However, there is no world sports channel and so I missed the French open final.

Unrealiable hotel booking at Royal Orchid, Mumbai

We had a confirmed booking for Royal Orchid for April 27-30, 2015. After having travelled for almost 22 hours we arrive at the hotel only to find out that Royal Orchid had cancelled our booking and made alternate arrangements to stay in another hotel of their choice. We were totally disappointed with Royal Orchid. We will not book Royal Orchid again.

I read good reviews abt dis hotel.but that was not upto the mark.at the time of check we had to wait fr half an hour fr the room.than the room service was soo bad.everytime it took around 30 mins to deliver the food menu,bar menu,glasses spoons etc.but the best was Mr.Deepak head of the hotel.he was nice and helpfull for us.

Good budget hotel

Was there for one night. Overall a good hotel having necessary facilities. They maintain one restaurant and it is good. However Gym is very congested. Its near truck terminal so not a very good locality.
For one or two nights stay, its a good budget hotel.
