While I would like to acknowledge that the staff was courteous and professional, the overall condition of the property was unacceptable and did not meet even basic standards.

Key amenities were unavailable throughout my stay, including a non-functioning elevator and inoperable vending machines. This created a significant inconvenience and reflects a lack of proper maintenance.

Upon entering the room, I encountered a noticeably stale and humid environment, strongly suggesting the space had not been adequately cleaned, ventilated, or prepared for guests. This concern was reinforced by the visible condition of the room: dust accumulation and sticky residue on furniture, a sticky television remote, and lamps with substantial rust at their base.

The issues extended further to the condition of essential fixtures and linens. The sheets contained burn holes, and the toilet functioned poorly, barely flushing. These deficiencies are not minor oversights but fundamental failures in cleanliness and upkeep.

Given the number and severity of these issues, I do not feel the accommodations provided were consistent with what was advertised or reasonably expected. I request that this matter be reviewed and that appropriate compensation be considered.

Elevator down with no prior alert before arriving to the hotel. when I arrived at the hotel with my 75 year old mother, who was absolutely unable to walk up two flights of steps, I was told the elevator was down and no apologizes were made for the inconvenience nor any empathy shown by the night auditor.

Room was dirty and had an odor in it of must Enes air-conditioning was working but the grate we’re gone to direct the air. There were no towels in the room, the bathroom bathtub was filthy and very slippery from possibly the shampoos and conditioners dripping onto the tub. I would not recommend anybody staying there and I’m very surprised that this hotel is on your list.

I had an extremely disappointing stay and will never return to this hotel.

From the moment we arrived, the experience was unacceptable. One employee we interacted with was very rude and dismissive, which set the tone for the entire visit. To make matters worse, the elevators were not working, creating an unnecessary inconvenience for guests.

When we finally reached our room, we discovered the key would not work. Staff had to physically remove the core from the door just to let us inside and told us they wouldn’t be able to fix the key until the next morning. That alone was frustrating, but the condition of the room made things even worse.

The room clearly had not been cleaned. There was hair and stains on the bedding and lining, visible dirt in multiple places, and trash left in the trash can. The bathroom was filthy and poorly stocked - there was only one set of towels and no hand soap at all. On top of that, the water pressure in the shower was terrible.

Overall, the condition of the room and the lack of basic cleanliness and maintenance made this stay unacceptable. Between the broken elevators, the door issue, the rude staff interaction (except the two night attendees, they were very apologetic), and the extremely dirty room, this was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I would strongly caution others before booking here.

The bedding and towels were clean, but uncomfortable bed and towels didn’t really dry well. The breakfast was gross at best. My child and I both tried the waffles and they tasted rancid. The lobby and breakfast area was clean and the staff was nice, but that’s the extent of the good things about this hotel. I wouldn’t stay here again with there being 4 other hotels within walking distance.

As you walk in the front door, there was a sign saying that the door is not working so you need to slide it yourself, At the front desk there is a sign saying that the elevator is not working.

Arrived, staff was very COLD. Our room had no heat in 30 degree weather. Heater was broken. Asked for blankets but received two thin, what seemed like a bedspread not a blanket! The fire alarm kept going off over 7 times for no reason. I have been treated for the last 30 years for severe ear problems. I was crying because of ear pain from noise of the alarm. I was in agony. Old tub was extremely slippery and was told they had no mats. The room felt dirty. Needless to say, we checked out in the morning. I paid for 3 days and stayed only one. Manager would not speak to us or refund any money. I was charged for three! What a pitiful place.

Unfortunately for this hotel they had water heaters which were large water heaters sitting in the middle of the first floor. There was no handicap access for my Mom because the elevator was broken. We had to climb to the second floor to get to our room and take our luggage. My handicap Mom also had two climb the stairs. I did ask for a room on the first floor and the front desk associate said there were not any. Since I had purchased the room through hotels.com there is nothing they can do.

Unfortunately, this hotel was very showing its age. The property felt old and run down, and overall cleanliness was questionable. The elevator was not working during our stay, which made getting around difficult—especially with a child. Common areas, stairwells, and floors appeared worn and dirty, with visible damage and poor maintenance throughout the building.

The hotel did not feel well cared for, and it did not meet the standards I expect from a Wyndham property. I would not choose to stay here again and would recommend looking at other options in the area.

We stayed here for several weeks in late November to mid-December and it was one of the worst hotel stays we’ve ever had.

The property felt unsafe, unsanitary, and inaccessible: our room and the hallways smelled strongly of mold/mildew, and we both developed ongoing breathing and sinus issues during the stay. Fire alarms went off at random hours, there were leaks inside the building, the elevator and vending machines didn’t work, and housekeeping was basically nonexistent.

The hotel advertises itself as ADA compliant because of the elevator, but the elevator was out of service the whole time. One of us has a broken foot and cannot use the stairs, so we could not practically use the room and had to stay elsewhere at additional cost.

Staff were often rude and unhelpful, and some even spoke negatively about the business and owner in front of guests. We reported all of this through the booking site and directly to the property and never received any meaningful response or resolution.

In our opinion, this hotel should not be operating in its current condition, especially while claiming ADA accessibility. We would not stay here again and do not recommend this property.

The elevator was out, nobody was informed of this prior to arrival. Then we leave and my daughters stayed behind. Someone comes into our room unannounced, and my daughter says something to her and she said “oh, we thought you had left” they should ALWAYS announce themselves when entering a room and the did not. The first night was good, but in the morning we noticed the toilet was broken. I called for maintenance, only to be told there was no maintenance, and housekeeping would check on the toilet when possible. I requested a room change only to be moved to a room that had not been cleaned in a long time. There was a strong odor of mildew in the room, cobwebs everywhere, burnt lamp shades, and dirt on the walls. I requested another room, only to be asked if I used the dirty room. After getting another room, we decided to cut our trip short, and leave in the morning. I asked for a refund for that night only to be told \"we don't give refunds. Most Musty, Moldy, Mildewy, Motel in Mississippi!!

This has to be the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I'm surprise that Wingate by Wyndham would even allow their brand to be associated with this smelly, moldy, broke down establishment.

From the moment I walked in the lobby I could smell the pungent odor of dirty carpet. As I walked to my room on the 1st floor I noticed many of the doors to guest rooms were open. When I got to my room and open the door, that's when it hit me. The smell of wet, moldy, mildew carpet. I'm very familiar with that smell because I'm from New Orleans and I've live through enough hurricanes and floods to recognize that smell anywhere.

I immediately turned around, went back to the front desk and asked for another room. I was not surprised to find the room reassigned, right next to the original room smelled exactly the same. The only reason I didn't check-out was because an associated had already check-in a few days ago.

As if that wasn't enough, I thought, well, at least I could enjoy the best amenity of the hotel, the jacuzzi bath tub. (That's why my associate booked the room in the 1st place.) After the nice relaxing experience in the tub I was ready to overlook the smelly rooms, until I tried to turn-off the jets of the Jacuzzi. It would not turn off. When I notified the front desk, they said maintenance was gone for the day. I had to find the access panel (which was in the bedroom) to unplug the motor. On top of that sliding door to the shower was didn't work. I couldn't wait to leave.

The first night we got there it rained and water was coming through the walls. No one from the hotel came to mop the water up. We were given towels and told to put them on the floor. We had to do this for three of the four nights we were there. Noone ever came to check on th issue. We had to go get the towels and mop the floors.

I requested an accessibility room due to a broken ankle.. However, there was no tub matt and the shower chair did not fut in the tub correctly. I actually slipped off the chair onto the side of the tub. When i asked for another chair, I was told they didn't have

Upon entering the room, we were immediately met with black mold on the walls and lamp, posing a serious health risk, particularly to a vulnerable infant. We also discovered exposed electrical outlets, a broken door, and crumbling walls, all of which made the room feel unsafe and uninhabitable. The overall environment was filthy and neglected, far from acceptable by any hospitality standard.
To make matters worse, when we attempted to raise these concerns with staff, we were met with poor customer service and indifference. There was no sense of urgency or apology. After complaining and explaining the fact that we had a three month old, we had to find other arrangements. The Indian woman at the desk told us to contact Hotels.com, they would call her, and she would approve a full refund, we left for a safer hotel.
This experience was not only unpleasant — it was a serious safety issue, and I am shocked that such conditions were allowed to exist in an establishment open to the public. To make things worse, the management lied and said we never complained, which is not true. Hotels.com is taking their managers word over photo proof etc… and will not help us! We are out $755 dollars plus the high cost of finding another hotel the day of, after flying all day to see my son who is stationed at Keesler AFB. Never using Hitels.com or Wingate by Wyndam Hotels for any other vacations!

There is extensive water damage to the whole property. From the outside it is a really nice place but as soon as you step foot inside you are met with a stench. The second floor was far worse. The pool was disgusting and hot. The first room we were given was soaking wet.. like the fire sprinklers turned on. The second room was better.. the smell was still really bad. Stayed for a month for work. Overall decent, but the wifi is basically unusable. No one comes to clean the room despite the sign in the room saying it will be cleaned every few days. Noisy during the weekends, loud bass and people running around being loud in the halls. Gets a little dirty as well in the hallways and elevator. The staff are at the front desk maybe 50% of the time. There’s one public washer/dryer for the whole hotel, only takes quarters.

She assured me that i had it. Get to the room and 💥 Popeyes chicken and red beans and rice on the tables,microwave,
and fridge. I went back down to the receptionists desk to complain and get only solutions was to talk to housekeeping. I finally convinced her to give me another room, which was no better than 1st one. The fridge was not clean, the doors looked damaged, the curtains and lamp shades were stained so bad that it looked disgusting.

For having the Wyndham name it could gave been a whole lot nicer…the hallway was very unkept and rundown it did not even seem like we were staying at a “Wyndham”

Room was damp & musty, others said their room smelled of sewage. Generally hotel was run down and dirty. Not sure if room service changed the bedding before our arrival. Hotel would not let us change rooms

The hotel was dirty, the carpets were not vacuumed, there was water leaking everywhere, they ran out of towels, and they were unapologetic about the poor amenities. The pool area was just nasty. Not sure how this hotel had high reviews. Would really like my money back.

We arrived rather late one 1 o’clock in the morning no Internet had to switch rooms the next morning for Internet and television only to go to a room with no toilet paper and fill underneath the coffee pot, which I only noticed because I want to make coffee

Poor overall management of property. Peeling paint inside the rooms, bath faucet broken from the wall, missing items (iron/broken cloths rake and ironing board), no variety of food choices for breakfast with no meat and the hotel smelled of mildrew.
Will never stay at this hotel again!!!

We’ve stayed at many of the Wyngate properties. This location by far has been the worse. Driving up to property was nice but one we stepped into the room, we were in disbelief!! We felt like we were in Hotel Beirut; ie, mold or something on the ceiling above the bed/bathroom, broken furniture, mold behind the window curtains, a 1” gap between the door that separated our room from the room next to us, the lamp on the wow next to the bed was hanging by one screw it was practically hanging off of the wall, the floor lamp on the other side of the bed in the corner it looked to be mouse droppings are a lot of insects on the floor, there was a strong odor in the room not sure where it was, but it eventually left. I haven’t attached any pictures as they were given to wyndyn corporate and are no longer on my phone.

The hotel is not well kept at and the staff has no customer skills at all. The hotel is outdated and is not clean at all before you book read the reviews, they are not exaggerating. They do not perform any housekeeping unless requested and with that being said not even between checkouts and check-in. Had to request a room change due to room we was giving was not clean, had a hole in the wall and dirty sheets balled up in the chair. Our new room had the previous guest towels there and trash but it was in better shape than the previous assigned room. The only reason we stayed was all the hotels were booked or pricey due to a conference in town, a car show and Grease the play. If the owner and staff took a little more pride in there work I believe this would make the hotel more attractive.

Honestly worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. 1. Did feel safe at all & had my 2 young kids with me. 2. Was woken up at 530am to people screaming and yelling next door to us (had access to joining rooms) and then not even 30 minutes later there were people in the hallways walking from room to room slamming doors. 3. Had one towel available for my family of 4 and when asked the front desk lady said can you wait an hour and I can bring them to you…..
at 630am we packed up and left to get back on the road because we couldn’t sleep and honestly felt unsafe!

Ok place to sleep. Breakfast was a hassle and we had ask them to put stuff out, with floppy paper plates being the highlight. Rooms were basic but sleep able. No bed bug mattress covers and roaches were seen crawling on the floor upon check in. Would stay again if everything was booked up.
